King of Scales has the face of a half-human and half Dragon with the scales going down half his body. The King wants to cast a spell using the dragon's pearl to remove the scales from his body and be completely human, but he has been unsuccessful so far in several attempts. His Queen had been taken from him long ago, back when his son was an infant.

The dragon's pearl is heavily guarded. The powers and spells can be ignited by using the Dragon’s Pearl depending on the user’s purpose for good or evil, which can be disastrous when in the wrong hands! 
Will the guards be able to keep the enemies away from the pearl? Will the fairies be able to keep it hidden if anyone gets through? 

Prince of Flames has found the journal that holds the key to everything he needs to know. He has to make sure that he keeps it away from Dark of Knight. The King of Scales has a face half-human and half Dragon with scales running down half of his body. The fairies were in charge of guarding the pearl at all times, but he was compelled to go to the palace tower himself every week to make sure it was still there. It was his only hope to remove the scales from his body and be completely human. A wizard had cast the spell on him many years ago. Using the Dragon’s Pearl was influenced by the user’s intention for good or evil. Can his guards protect the pearl from enemies? Can the fairies keep it hidden? Will he ever be able to use it correctly to claim his human form again? And by the time Allan realizes that something is wrong, he is out of time and cannot warn the King and the Prince of the trouble that is already here . . .

This is a box set of 6 short stories based in mystical kingdoms.

I am reviewing the first book in the set called Dragon Pearl.

The King of Scales got his name because his body was part dragon scales and part human. However, his Queen loved him as he was. He wishes to find a potion or a spell that he can use to turn him back to human, but he would need to use his Queen's Dragon Pearl to accomplish this. He visits the room where the pearl is guarded when he becomes anxious about its safety. Will he be able to find a way to reverse his curse. But what happens when the King decides to reconcile with his brother.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

Ends on cliff hanger.

Fairly good plot and story. Did keep me engaged. Made me want to finish story which when I see a boxset I think your getting at least the majority of the story. I did like the character development for majority of main characters king excluded.

Sad to see a decent family relationship hurt from bringing in a new relative into home and adult refuses to listen. Majority of story is son finding proof..

Easy read clean.

Dragon's Pearl dragged on, but it slowly picked up. I really love stories like this. Dragons, sea creatures, fairies, magi all make for a great story. The King of Scales and the Prince of Flames were interesting main characters. The Dark of Knight was your typical paranormal bad guy. I look forward to reading more of this authors stories.

This is a well written series with unique characters. There are twists and turns. At times the tale drags on, but in general there are great heroes and villains, and it is well written. The King of scales is a half human and half dragon being whose wife has been taken. The Prince of flames searches for his lost mother, the queen. Very complex family dynamics and plot, but fascinating. 4/5 stars.

This is a fantasy mystery series that is action-packed. There is so much going on in this book that you will be hooked from the first few pages of the first book. I have to say that this is not the normal type of book that I read but I really did get into this series and know that you will too.0.
