Weddings & Wishes is a new wonderfully written book by Melissa McClone, it is the fourth in the Berry Lake Cupcake Posse series and it must be read in order.

I'm hooked to Missy, Nell, Selena, Bria and Juliet stories, I'm invested into their up and downs, and I was once again caught off guard by the cliffhanger.

The best part of this book are the characters, they are well defined, but you can see how they still grow through their experiences books by books.
The friendship among these women is really special and endearing. They are always ready to help and support each other, they celebrate every success as it was a personal one, and they share the wight of every drama.

I can't wait to get next novel and finally read the end of this journey.

The Berry Lake Cupcake Posse has touched my heart in ways I never imagined it would. I read a lot of books and there are very few series that I have been so invested in. Bria, Juliet, Missy, Nell, and Selena have captured my heart and seeing them go through such turmoil in Weddings & Wishes was absolutely heartbreaking. There is so much going on in this novel that you must read the rest of the series to keep up, which is something the author highly recommends, and I agree whole heartedly. Not only will it help you keep up with the narrative, but you will create a bond with these characters like no other.

One thing that I loved about this novel were the little twists that I wasn’t expecting, like who’s wedding it was, and who stays together versus who sadly doesn’t. I ended the novel with an audible gasp, my hand over my mouth, and a look of bewilderment on my face. I was truly shocked when I read the last line and couldn’t believe that this was how this novel ended. With the way the story was going towards the end of the book it was obvious the novel would end on a cliffhanger, but I did not expect this twist whatsoever. I truly hope the final installment will come early, as I don’t know if I can make it to May 2024 without knowing what’s going to happen!

I don’t know how Melissa McClone does it, but she is such a wonderful storyteller that takes you into the lives and hearts of these characters, and makes this world come alive. Each character has their own unique and individual voice, and the support that they give one another is unsurpassed. It’s truly friendship goals to the ninth degree. Berry Lake and all of its inhabitants have become like family to me, and though this was the messiest story of the series so far, it also gave a realism that made this world all the more real.

I wish so much that this series could go on forever, but sadly I will have one more book to devour before the Berry Lake Cupcake Posse (hopefully) lives happily ever after. With the little twists, the drama, the love, support, and friendship and, of course the cupcakes, Weddings & Wishes is a sweet and savory treat that I did not want to end.

*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.

Wow, this story is full of everything… joy, humour, sadness, anger, anxiety, confusion, etc. My one issue is that I desperately need closure and I don’t yet have it; there is one more book to finish off all of the story lines.

Nell ignores her intuition while rock climbing and ends up getting caught in a rockslide that injures both her and Welles. The frustrating thing with her is when Gage proposes in the hospital after the accident, her mother accepts on her behalf and she just sits there. Gage is definitely not the man for her, but she continues along, second guessing herself while Welles bites his tongue wanting her to be happy. Everyone knows that Nell and Welles belong together except Nell, so it’s a matter of waiting until she pulls her head out of her lower anatomy.

Missy has been framed for arson, but thankfully Sam and her friends know she is innocent and are standing by her. This storyline has been going on too long for my liking and I want all of the answers, ASAP. At least Sam and Missy are together, so that makes me happy.

Dalton is a portrait of frustration as he ghosted Bria and then faced with proof, he still believes everything that his messed up, lying, scheming family says. Bria deserves someone who loves and supports her without worrying that they will be manipulated by those who are supposed to love you unconditionally.

Juliet has developed a lot more confidence and it was very satisfying to see her tell her soon to be ex to take a hike. Hopefully she will end up with Roman in the end since I think he’d be good for her and of course, with his niece, they’d be one big happy family.

This instalment ends with heartbreak as Selena bids farewell to Logan; however, there is hope that they find their way back together in the next and final piece of the series.

Patience is not my thing but I will suffer in silence as I await the end of this series.

Weddings & Wishes by Melissa McClone, book four in the Berry Lake Cupcake Posse, is an emotional, tug at your heart strings, sweet women’s fiction story by Melissa McClone. This is the fourth part of a story about friends who lost touch over the years, reunite and realize they are stronger together than apart. You will want to read the other books, in order, so that you understand what is happening in this one otherwise you will be lost.

It was so good to be back with the Cupcake Posse. The love and compassion they have for each other is amazing. Everyone should have some friends that are this supportive. Life is all about throwing curve balls to these ladies; pushing them to the breaking point. Whatever can go wrong, does. Each of the characters is still facing some big life challenges and there are some possible romances between the various characters. I was so engaged in this story that I didn’t want it to end. Now I’m heartbroken and can’t wait to find out what happens next. I look forward to the fifth book in the hopes that it wraps up all of the mysteries and answers so many of the questions I have.

Ms. McClone wrote a wonderful, heartwarming, and moving story that is not to be missed. I loved the connections these characters made with each other and how compassionate they feel about the posse. I highly recommend Weddings & Wishes to other readers. Note: this story ends in a cliffhanger(s) and will be continued in book five; which I can’t wait to read.

If you haven't read the other books in this series, STOP, go back and read them. These books have continuing story lines and cliffhanger endings.

At the end of the last book, Missy was arrested for arson and Sam quit the police force. He's sure the sheriff is dirty for this to have happened. Nell goes climbing with Gabe and Welles, while waiting to go up the next pitch a loud pop is heard and dust falls.

This book opens with Missy being stuck in jail until her bail hearing on Monday. Elias was unable to convince the judge there wasn't enough evidence for the arrest. Bria, Juliet and Nell were coming to visit today, she missed them, she missed her cats and her home and most of all Sam. Nell wasn't with them, but Missy understood. Bria is pulled out of visiting and when she returns, she tells them of the rockslide and that Nell and Welles are injured. Missy sends them off to be with Nell hoping they can find a way to get word of how she is.

Family and friends gather at the hospital to wait for information.

Nell and Welles recovery solutions provide more than a couple of laughs and it looks like Welles may actually break through her resistance to dating him.

Every one of the posse has her moment in this book. I love how each of them work on a relationship. So much going on and no real resolutions as of yet. Clues are being thrown around and I can't wait to see where this all ends up!

The trials and tribulations of this wonderful group of friends continues and it will have you on edge. A scary event will have Nell conflicted between the man she wants and the man her mother wants for her. Missy’s romantic life may be going well but the same doesn’t hold true when it comes to the events at the bakery. Dalton and Bria are facing turmoil as outside forces try to keep them apart, Julia is evolving into the woman she is meant to be and Selena faces an uncertain future.

With everything going on in each of the women’s lives the one constant is the friendship and support they give each other which and I am looking forward to see what the future holds for these captivating characters.

The Cupcake Posse is back in book four with new struggles but knowing they will all be there for each other. Nell is engaged but is it to the right man? Selena is growing tired of waiting for her hockey playing husband to retire. Juliet is finally setting into her new life as a single woman but her ex wants her back. Will she have the courage to resist? Bria is grappling with family drama and wondering how it will affect her relationship with her boyfriend. Missy is still reeling from her arrest. Luckily the girls are all there for each other. This book is all about friendship, love, hope, and determination. highly recommend this book!

I love my book visits to Berry Lake and the cupcake posse of Nell, Selena, Bria, Juliet and Missy as they stand together though good and bad with love, friendship and family. Weddings and Wishes hit so many feels and is the perfect fiction friendship saga and I feel like I know these wonderful ladies and root for them. Ms McClone has given us another beautifully written must-read and I can't wait to return to the Pacific Northwest to see what happens next. Book 4 in this series does not disappoint. You do need to read these in order to follow what is going on. And each of the books end in cliffhangers, which I normally won't read. However, I knew going in that this series was written that way and this author is one of my favorites. This series is more about friendships than romance (although there is some of that), and I love seeing how these ladies have reconnected and support each other in so many selfless ways.

This book had it all from heartstopping moments to breathtaking ones and everything in between. The book was definitely worth waiting for. I liked returning to Berry Lake to see what The Posse was up to and I was not disappointed. There were weddings and wishes as the title implied. I was happy for some of the characters and sad for the others. I really enjoyed Selina T's advice about putting yourself first. I enjoyed reading book 4 in the series and I look forward to the next book. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

The author is up front in telling you that there is a cliff hanger in this book as there has been in the previous books in the series. You really do need to read the others to be able to follow this one. I am thankful that we seemed to get some closure with some of the couples but given the ending we can’t really be sure of their stability. I am also glad we are finally, seemingly, wrapping up the mystery surrounding the fire.

Melissa McClone writes such a beautifully written story with the Cupcake Posse group of friends who are always there for each other no matter what is going on in their own personal lives. This one focuses a lot on Missy & Sam after Missy gets arrested for the bakery fire & on Nell after an incident with Gage & Welles. I can’t say enough about this author & series which should be read in order to get the full enjoyment of reading them. Once again you will experience all the feels in this incredible book. You’re truly missing out if you haven’t read this series yet. I voluntarily read for an honest review.

Cue all the feels for this story. I think every girl should have a band of friends like with cupcake posse of Berry Lake. They lift each other up through the lowest of lows and root for each others highs. Sam and. missy are another great addition to the series which I recommend to start from the beginning if you haven’t already to get to know each character.

The girls of the Cupcake Posse are friends forever and ate there for each other always. All 5 of them are dealing with their own personal issues but they always find time to support each other and help each other through troubled times. Looking to see how things progress for Missy in her criminal case, Juliet and Selena with their divorces and Bria and Nell in love.

Weddings & Wishes, is everything
& more that you would want in
a romance story. It's engaging, moving,
feel-good & intriguing.
The series continues with
the "Cupcake Posse" gals,
& ups & downs of their lives.
There is a wonderful mixture
of characters & small town charm
that adds even more to the story.
I truly enjoyed reading this book!

Very interesting!

Sam and Mises's story was very interesting and the ending really explained what was behind d the charges against Missy.
I was really happy that Nell finally came to her senses regarding Gage and Welles!
I could use a character/relationship list to help better follow the story.

The Berry Lake Cupcake Posse is sentimental gold. McClone not only engages the heart, but she touches the soul. These characters keep readers invested in lessons of life, love and their intriguing journeys of self growth. There's a little bit of every heart in Nell, Selena, Bria, Juliet, and Missy. From Cupcakes and Crumbs to Weddings and Wishes, love runs deep and wisdom is priceless.

Another winner in this series. I love the characters in this series and can't wait for the next. The stories for each of the main ladies moves along well. The friendship between the characters is great. I loved every minute and was sad I read it so quickly. The ending was a great cliffhanger ending. I'm already chomping at the bit for the next.

Loss and gains

The five women in this series go through many hardships both professional and personally, one wedding, one broken engagement and one two broken marriages. I look forward to the last book in the series but will miss Berry Lake Cupcakes. They are all like my best friends.

Impressive!

A somewhat more serious tone, and definitely not a standalone. Yes, a cliffhanger! But oh so worth your time! Oh so more-ish! Oh so well written, oh so page-turner-y! The characters are wonderful, and I really feel their feelings, empathize with them. And that’s the strength of this series. Oh, your heart WILL be touched! Just read for yourself, do start with book 1!

Join the Cupcake Posse as they try to prove Missy’s innocence in the arson case and Bria’s breakup. See how they work together to figure out just what is going on in each other’s lives. Be ready to laugh, cry and deal with your emotions when parents play a role they should not be playing.

Oh, my word! What an emotional read! I loved it! I would love to be a member of the Cupcake Posse and have these friends to help me through whatever life would throw at me. I love them all and the way they look out for each other and are there for each other. I’m so happy for Missy and Nell. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the lives of these wonderful ladies.
