Rate this book

The teahouses bearing the history in this book are extinct in Chengdu now. Only those located in historic temples are preserved. The administration, on one hand, takes down old houses and streets for so-called modern skyscrapers, malls; on the other hand, sets up programs for culture preservation by duplicating ugly counterfeit of the old houses and streets. The unique way or philosophy of life in Chengdu is rootless now.
