I don’t have my memories, but I know in my heart, I seek revenge.
I awoke in a demon’s house with no recollection of who I am. I’m certain I belong to someone… although who, I’m unsure.
While waiting to remember my past, I train in demon magic, preparing for a fight I’m not sure I should be involved in.
I’m sent on a mission to steal the magic of the most powerful supernatural alive, but on the way, I run into someone I’m certain I’ve met before. The pull I have toward Shane is the strongest feeling I’ve ever had, and with all the lies swarming around me, I don’t know who I can trust.
The only thing I’m certain of is once I know who I am, there’s going to be hell to pay. And the villain who ruined my life will never see it coming.

The Night Hunting is a dark romance full of shifters, witches, demons, and magic colliding in a suspenseful and sexy world. This devilish paranormal romance will sweep readers into an urban fantasy universe that’s another steamy addition to Juliana Haygert’s Rite World saga.

Rite World: Night Wolves The Night Calling (Book 1) The Night Burning (Book 2) The Night Hunting (Book 3) The Night Rising (Book 4)
While Juliana Haygert dreams of being Wonder Woman, Buffy, or a blood elf shadow priest, she settles for the less exciting—but equally gratifying—life of a wife, mother, and author. She resides in North Carolina and spends her days writing about kick-ass heroines and the heroes who drive them crazy.

What a bloody cliffhanger! Solid 4 stars, would have been 5 but I’m not a fan of the amnesia trope, I don’t know why but I get super frustrated, I yelled at my kindle multiple times for Raika to snap the hell out of it 😂 in the end the book was great, intense plot and I’m truly looking forward to how this next book Will wrap up Shane and Raika’s story. Also side note I’m glad Roman got what was coming for him. 💁🏼♀️
It may sound repetitive but that doesn't mean it's not true. Every book I read by Juliana, I can't put it down until I finish it and The Night Hunting is no exception. Raika without her memories has a new beginning, which for the reader makes you worry and wonder if she will ever get her memory back. You feel the same suffering as Shane, seeing how devastated he is until he gets back the one he longs for the most. Without the memories of him, a new side to the protagonists' relationship with him can be appreciated. This book reveals a species that I've long wanted to be a part of this world, which I'm happy about as it expands it even more and I can't wait for his stories to be told. And that ending was literally surprising and leaves us suffering to know what will happen in the outcome of this incredible story.
I was going to read a chapter before sleeping, but I ended up till morning, I simply couldn’t put it down till the last page. It hooked me from the first page, kept me on edge & rendered me speechless afterward.
But honestly, who needs to sleep, when reading such a spectacular book.
Probably wasn't the best idea to start this before bed I stayed up untill 3am and finished the whole book in one sitting, was definitely worth it I can tell you. I don't think I was mentally prepared for this ending this was one exciting rollercoaster right just when you think you know where its going bam another surprise is thrown in there a fantastic read.
where to start?! … this one jumps right back in from that ending in book 2 … no rest for the wicked, at least no rest for Raika & Shane … one can hope 🖤
This book did not disappoint! After the ending of the last book I could not wait for this one to become available and it was worth the wait! The continuation of the story was amazing and I can't wait for the next book!
After Raika's presumed death, Shane and his family are losing the strength to enjoy life, mourning their loss. Raika on the other hand suffers from "memory loss", living with her father, sister, and the demons that support Paimon. However, she feels the differences between what she is told and what she feels, and when the dragon re-enters the scene and she meets Shane again, even without knowing who he is, her memories are starting to come back. And with that, the real battle against Paimon can start. Shane and Raika cannot face him alone, though, and their backup has to be very powerful to even have a chance against the demon. Even though the third book in the series provides many answers and ties quite some loose threads, there are enough open points at the end to hint there is still more to come, with one character or another. Raika and Shane both undergo steep character development under the dire circumstances, but their relationship/ bond strengthens a lot. I also liked how some of the characters seem to mature and settle after everything they went through, and would be happiest to see the justice coming to those who deserve a punishment.
Great!! They found each other again! Wow! These guys are having to go thru so much to be together it makes your head spin. The action keeps you reading because you really need to know what happens next. I love this series and can’t wait for the book to come out. The ending of this book makes you want to pull your hair out. It is a long trip and leaves you thirsting for more you, have to know what happens next! I love all of Juliana’s books and will continue to read what she puts out.
Oh my gosh this is a book that you pick up before bedtime thinking I'm going to read a few chapters and then you end up finishing it and wake up groggy in the morning because you stayed up to late reading. Raika and Shane and friends have gone through some stuff but that's not the end there's more left to put them through and that ending to this was just a stunningly shocker. I was gobsmaked I wasn't expecting that at all. But it makes me excited and can't wait for the next book so I can find out what happened.
I fall more and more in love with this world with each new release, it’s just fantastic!!! 😍 The love, romance, family and friendship with get to your heart; and the action, intriguing plot and unexpected twists and turns, will keep you enthralled from start to finish!!! 🥰 I'm so ready to read the next book, bring it on!!! 💕
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Another good one!
I thought this was going to be the end of the series, but now we have volume 4 to look forward to!
I've reviewed a number of her books, & they are all good. The only problem for me is to find new slants on reviewing them. (I try to avoid simply summarizing the plot). This one, the surprise that was kind of hinted at at the end of book 2 was our female protagonist, Raika, had lost her memory and was now aligned with "the bad guys". I will admit I enjoyed the second half of the book much more when she got her memories back (5 stars for the 2nd half. lol!).
There isn't a lot of sex, but it's definitely X rated when it happens.
This has nothing to do with plotting, but a child with panic attack issues is named "Minsi". Though I've never heard the name before, I really like it. If I was young enough to father a child I would suggest that name to the mother (if the child was female.)!
In the end, almost all ends well; except the #1 villain is still alive. That's why I'm curious where the author is going to take this. I'm inpatient, I want to read it NOW (lol)!
Like always, great, believable characters. I wish I could get my mental fantasies to paper half this good!
Whether the next book is book 4 of this series, or book 1 of a new series that ties up the loose ends of this one, I can't wait!
I really expect Ms Haygert to soon get the level of recognition of Neil Gaiman, Deborah Harkness, & other top indie authors.
The Night Hunting is the next installment in Juliana Haygert's Night Wolves series and things take off right from the beginning. Where things ended with book two, that's right where they pick up and off we go. More drama is building with these characters and you're not going to want to miss a minute of this book if you've been enjoying the series so far. The pacing is a bit all over the place from time to time, but when it's engaging it's engaging and you're going to love it. You're also going to love how this author brings in some many different creatures/monsters. It's like each book there is something/somebody new to keep things fresh and engaging. My only problem truly worth mentioning was Shane's "by the moon" comments. I seriously started giving him some major side-eye. It was just overdone! Too much! Please, no more! We get it, but it does not need to be this dude's "catchphrase" because that's where we're heading with this. All in all, I'm eager to see what comes next for these characters. Keep building that drama!
This is such an underrated series. I'm so glad I found these books. I love everything about them. The characters, the world and the storyline are all amazing. The fast paced writing pulls you in and holds your attention until the end.
But my favorite thing is how the author manages to mix in a variety of supernatual beings and somehow makes it feel fresh. There are SO many paranormal romance books out there and most of them are so similar that they blend together but Haygert always manages to surprise me with unexpected twists.
I had a lot of fun reading this and I can't wait to read the last book. I'm so happy that there are more series set in the same world to keep me occupied. Also, I'm really hoping Ivy switches sides because she's not evil like their father and I enjoyed seeing their relationship as sisters begin to develop. Plus Raika doesn't have any other family and she needs a best friend.
When Raika woke up having no memories of who she was broke my heart. Poor Minsi! What will she do without her? And Shane! I was on edge the entire time. It couldn’t end like this, could it? Her father had her right where he wanted her and that was not a good place.
You’re helpless watching the lies unfold and knowing she was trapped within her memory less mind. Ugh.
But Shane was determined to destroy Paimon and that was the only silver lining that kept my hopes up.
This series is so good! Devouring each book has been so fun! Highly recommend these books.
ow - so let’s just jump right back into the fray. Wastes no time catching us up and bringing us back into the world of the supernatural. Dead? Maybe not, changing sides, goblins? Introducing some new creatures into this already diverse world just keeps me reading. I love that the vamps can work with the werewolves and the witches. Dragons and goblins and any number of creatures come to play in this 3rd installment. My ONLY complaint is that Shane uses the phrase “by the moon” WAY too many times - I mean I started looking for it any time he “spoke”. Great read!!!

Yep I knew the moment I cracked this baby open I wasn’t going to put it down. This series is one wild rollercoaster ride to say the least. Raika and Shane seriously cannot catch a break just when you think they might get some reprieve another freaking bomb is dropped. These two are all about family and protecting the ones they have. Their story really does pack an emotional punch straight to your heart and you cant help but want them to get their HEA. I cannot wait to see what happens next especially with that ending that had my jaw on the floor.
This series just keeps getting better! The Night Hunting delivers a perfect blend of action, romance, and twists that kept me turning pages. The dual POV brings real emotional depth, and the lead characters are so easy to root for. I loved the steady build of tension, the surprising turns, and the way the world keeps expanding in such exciting ways.
If you're into fantasy with heart, high stakes, and characters who actually grow, you’ll love this one. And yes, the ending will leave you reaching for the next book immediately!
I really like their story and the ups and down they are going through. Sometimes, it looks like they have no time to breathe even, yet it makes their story more readable. I really like how the Dragon entered the story and change their path and their future, and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Fantastic read. Wonderful plot in this story with plenty to keep us on our toes! I was thrown a few times not expecting events or outcomes. I really enjoyed this book and the ending definitely took me by surprise!
Love to see more of the previous characters on this book/series. Now to wait for the next installment and what new adventures come into Raika's and Shane's path...
This is the #3 book in the Rite World: Night Wolf series. I have loved and enjoyed every single one of these books. Pnr, shifters, magic, drama, danger, adventure, angst and so good.
Yet again a wonderful continuation to the story being told. Another ending that left me with no words from shock and ready to find out what happens next. There were so many moments of staying at the edge of my seat with anticipation.
OMG! After that ending in book two I was so not prepared for book three and what it would bring! We slam straight back into the story and my heart just broke for Shane and his pack as they mourned Rakia and then he finds a purpose, to save the dragon from Paimon and so his adventure continues. We then are hit right between the eyes with another shocking surprise which I should have seen coming but just didn’t and although it angered me, it did make me very happy! Exciting, thrilling and one hell of an emotional rollercoaster, this made me cry, this made me angry and yes this made me swoon a little as the journey takes a turn with the twists a d turns and had a ending that shocked me and made me really want the next book now, please!
Another fantastic and gripping read continuing on from Raikas' death. What started out as a 'I'll read a couple of pages while the kids play' turns into a complete night binge read til early hours. It has been amazing following Raika, Shane and pack on their journeys and turmoil seeing how they battle through every obstacle that gets in their way. I can't wait to see what's in store next for them all.
