The Roommates: A Humiliation Story
“So I walked into the kitchen, Peter dropped a coffee mug, it broke, and then he yanked his shorts down,” Wendy mentioned.
“Um, what?” Olivia asked.
“He explained that in the house he grew up in, he had learned to pull his pants down for punishment immediately when he thought he might get in trouble.”
“Do you think that’s why he is so, you know, well-mannered and stuff?” Olivia asked. “He grew up in a really strict household so he got punished for getting even slightly out of line?”
“Yeah, maybe,” Wendy replied. “He said that the two girls in the house would get him in trouble for stuff he didn’t even do and then they’d watch him take his punishment.”
“With his pants down,” Olivia added.
“Right,” Wendy replied.
Olivia rolled over onto her bed and stared at the ceiling.
“My gosh oh golly,” she murmured.
Wendy was amused that Olivia said things like “my gosh oh golly.”
“So, what do we do?” Olivia asked.
“Do?” Wendy asked in turn.
“Yeah. It seems like a fascinating case study. It seems like we should, I don’t know, investigate. Find out more.”
Olivia, Wendy, and Mia decide they want to know more about their new roommate, Peter, and his unusual upbringing. What all can they do with this information, they each wonder. When they begin to question him, they learn a great deal about Peter, but they also learn things about themselves, and what they want in life.

I'm unsure... The story is very steamy and well-written, but the main-character's trauma is used against him and I can't wrap my head around that...
If you love spice: go for it
If you're sensitive to SA: be careful

I like Ava's books because they have visual appeal and realistic settings and dialogues. Something that keeps her in the line of Molly Sands. Ava writes with a lot of heart and I enjoy seeing the world of female domination through her eyes.
The basic premise of the story is a guy who had a troubled past at the hands of a lady and her two daughters with whom he grows up as their slave/servant. So in present his three female roommates decide to take advantage of it as his growing up years have made him compliant to female authority, something that Chris Bellows has touched a lot in his work.
So the three roommates have fun having him at their beck and call and using him as an object of their sadistic desires. All well so far.
The flip side of this book is that Ava makes me oscillates between the feelings of consensual vs non-consensual. At one moment our victim agrees and go with the orders of the dominants while in another he feels the injustice of being made to do things that he doesnt deserve.
I sincerely think she could have divided this book into two parts. One covering the growing up years of the guy and another his present life with roommates. His growing up years are covered as a part of the guy narrating his past to his roommates in a format that I didnt enjoy - this happened, then this happened, then she said this then I said this etc.
Infact the growing up yrs narration is very similar to what we read as a story in her earlier humiliation triology and hence for me the novelty was missing. She could have well called this as a James story and interlaced it with roommates addition. Anyway, writer knows the best. Though in the climax she did bring the discussion on Dahlia, the tormentress of James to comes and meet the unfortunate protagonist of this story.
Overall a good one time read for Ava readers. Could have been better.
