Hikari and Momoko are best friends. When Momoko starts dating for the first time, she turns to Hikari for advice. She on the other hand would also like to meet someone new and starts using a dating app where she meets and falls in love with Kento.

One thing that almost always without a fail will ruin a story for me is cheating. I'm going to go ahead and say this isn't a spoiler as it's the entire premise of the book: Kento is Momoko's boyfriend. Hikari isn't aware of that at the time of getting together with Kento. However, once she finds out, she still continues things with him. She is fully aware that she is being beyond disloyal toward her supposed best friend but she excuses it by saying she is simply too weak. She likes Kento so much that she has no self control and thus continues to meet and sleep with Kento.

To me, there is absolutely nothing redeemable about this scenario. I could have understood if Hikari had lingering feelings for him after finding out, but it's how she acts upon it that is just am absolute no go. Even then, she hadn't known him for that long yet, I think a genuine person would have not only broken things off but also made sure her best friend is aware of things.

The whole thing gets wrapped up with Hikari's studies and her endeavours to improve her work. It felt as though the author was using the cheating aspect as some spur for Hikari's personal growth. I don't think it worked out well at all, it's hard to root for a character - work, studies of otherwise - when she's being such an awful person. Kento is also the worst, and while I felt sorry for Momoko, she's also a rather odd character for the story as a whole.

The art is pretty. That's it. There's truly nothing to recommend about this one, it was even worse than I had expected it to be when I first picked it up.

I really didn’t liked the story. I mean, how can she say that she treasures her best friend and then continue to sleep with her best friends boyfriend?
