After their plane crashed in Northern Australia, Stewardess Peg MacPhee and Dr. Bill Ransome had to deliver a baby for the only other surviving passenger. The shared experience forged a link between them that nothing, even tragedy, could sever.
Harlequin Romance #868; Nov 1964. I read this version.
REPRINTED later as #50 Harlequin Collection, under This Starry Stranger.
During a plane crash in the rain forest of Northern Australia, one two passengers and a stewardess survive the crash.
Stewardess Peg MacPhee and Dr. Bill Ransome had the difficult task of delivering the baby of the only other surviving passenger, Lucia Angelo.
Lucia sees the kindness and strength in the doctor right away. She senses something is going on between the other two. She she’s a softer side of Dr. Ransome, a gentler side nobody ever sees.
While delivering Lucias baby, Peg and Bill form a bond together. Stronger, although others tried to tear it apart.
The plot was different than other romance novels, as there seemed to be no happy ending for a pregnant woman (Liz) left alone, a gruff doctor (Bill) and Peg, the stewardess who helped deliver a baby. .But this is a romance.
