Clifford and Emily Elizabeth prepare Easter baskets for Clifford's dog friends. Straight-forward, plain and boring.

Clifford and Emily Elizabeth are making baskets for Easter. I would’ve liked the book to be more fleshed out. It was a very cute book that would be beneficial for beginning readers to practice decoding and fluency. However, the book felt very simplistic for me and I would’ve liked that there was a longer story and more illustrations for the book. Bright colors such as green, red, yellow and pastel colors that are used for the easter eggs that are shown in the book. I think there are a lot of subliminal messages that are being told in the story such as how sharing is caring. Plus in the illustrations you can tell that it is a very happy storyline for everyone involved. In addition a lot of the people’s facial expressions such as Emily, Clifford, T-Bone and Cleo showed that they were very happy and ecstatic for the event that was being held for Easter.

Cute book, and short enough that my 2yo (who loves Clifford) doesn't get too impatient.
