Cornelia Funke is a multiple award-winning German illustrator and storyteller, who writes fantasy for all ages of readers. Amongst her best known books is the Inkheart trilogy. Many of Cornelia's titles are published all over the world and translated into more than 30 languages. She has two children, two birds and a very old dog and lives in Los Angeles, California.

Es ist soooo anders, aber auch so cool!
Man merkt einfach wie sehr sich der Schreibstil verändert hat, wie viele Gedanken in die Charaktere gegangen sind, etc.
Unfassbar spannend zu lesen und zu beobachten... Irgendwie lässt es dadurch "Drachenreiter" noch viel besonderer werden.

Ein echt süßes Buch, das allererste von Cornelia Funke. Ist eine Art Drachenreiter, aber irgendwie auch anders. Kann man sich als Vorläufer von Drachenreiter vorstellen. Ein Must- Read für Cornelia Funke Fans. Leider wird es nicht mehr aufgelegt und muss daher in der Bücherei gesucht werden, aber das ist es wert :)

I do like the book.
Am using it to review basic German grammar with a 15 year old student.
The language is easy enough yet sufficient number of complicated words and images that need to be decoded.
