What will Man (and woman) be like in the far off future when we have evolved beyond the need for spaceships and even our bodies? And what makes us human when that happens?

I liked this story. It's short but it takes on a huge philosophical issue. Actually, the one that almost all SF revolves around and most literature in general - What does it mean to be human? But this is a good and different take. Worth reading.
