Even though the author has a great sense of humour (I did laugh out loud while reading), the book is terribly outdated.

I have made it to the final page! Chapter 9 & 10 were better than expected! But I have to say I had mixed emotions for the book! I liked how Cox makes it real at the end with the last chapter being about actual relationships but I didn't like how the book didn't feel summed up. After chapter 9 it felt as thou she still needed to round off the entire book but instead sends you to 4 stories! Also the though out the book it had a few lows for me but I found good relationship technics and good advice within chapters! Was an ok book! I would recommend to others!

An in your face look at why you cant get what you want, what to do to get what you want, and where to find it. Its a great reference to skim through after a break up or before making a move into a serious relationship. Lots of good tips and tricks!

I still think the 5 Love Languages is more valuable but Hot Relationships is great for case studies and advice for specific situations. Nothing most of us don't know but possibly useful for a younger audience to hopefully avoid making the mistakes which help you learn about relationships.

All of us have relationships we question, and we all know the old advice of doing a list of pros and cons, well this book digs a little deeper and looks at why you may be ill-suited (or not) in terms of your belief systems around religion, money and so on. Tracey Cox gives advice on many different aspects of relationships, from getting into one to when you should get out and everything in between. A great book to better understand yourself and thereby your relationships with others. I have recommended this to several friends over the years.

I found this book in the gutter beside my car. I felt maybe it was fate that put it there, but if so, it was not only to reinforce my belief that I am not meant to find love ever again, but also to make me feel glad about that fact! This book is comical in how bad it is. I have to admit, I only read a few chapters, out of order, based on how closely their titles seemed to describe my past relationships. I'll leave it at that. Read on for other, more pertinent reviews, if that's your thing.

I don't think was set up to read straight through as I did. I think it would have been more interesting to dip into, for whatever was actually relevant to me. Still, the author makes good points, the writing style is light and humourous, and I liked the use of quotes and stories from real people. It made me think through a few things I could work on in my current relationship, which is always useful.
