This Christmas collection, like Christmas itself, has a special treasure for everyone:
Colin's Christmas Candle by Barbara Raferty -- One night by Marchette Chute -- Sing a song of tinsel by Dorothy N. Morrison -- Perfect Present by Dr. Seuss -- The Christmas foundling by Margaret W. Tuttle -- December by Aileen Fisher -- The Christmas horses by Laura Ingalls Wilder -- Baboushka, traditional -- City Christmas by Rachel Field -- A Christmas tree for Lydia by Elizabeth Enright -- Paddington's Christmas by Michael Bond -- Cosette's Christmas by Victor Hugo -- The Christmas spider by Marguerite de Angeli -- The Christmas gift by Vic Crume -- I could eat it! by Kobayashi Issa
Very fun little book to read during this time of year. The stories varied from a Laura Ingalls Wilder story about Christmas on the farm, a story about a boy who lights a way to bring his father home by Barbara Raferty, to a story by Victor Hugo about a special Christmas for a little girl.
This book wasn’t for me. I love Christmas time, the season, the feeling but I was finding myself confused and lost with some of these stories. They weren’t bad, just lacking. Someone else might enjoy it. :)
This was pretty good and I will keep it for my grandchild, but I think the best tale was probably the last one. The one called Colette, I really disliked. Other than that, they were decent.
