Her father was the youngest of 14, from the deep south, born in 1923, and was limited to a 3rd-grade education. Her mother was the only child, born in Vincennes, Indiana, an elementary teacher with a master's degree in education, a world traveler, and a lover of all people.

I absolutely loved reading this book, it has been such a fantastic tool to me in my career since the first page. This book stops you from feeling alone and this in itself instils confidence . Alongside this, the content and advice within this book is super useful, I found it particularly handy to be able to read about and identify the different leadership types, as at the time I was in a team of managers and I worked completely differently and it felt like I was doing it wrong until I read this book and I just realised what my style was and how to own this.🥀
Whether or not you have faced any trauma in your life, this book is going to help you become a better person for yourself! It's a super quick read, flows like water and gives you practical exercises to do by yourself. Needless to say if u are on the verge of questioning your sanity, take a peek at her soothing advise, its totally relatable to what u have been going through.✨
Inspiring & motivating book, found some great tips to help with career progression. Sometimes we just need an injection of confidence and self-belief to be able to take that next step and this book really helps with that.
