When Madeline Taggert meets her brother's best friend, gorgeous millionaire Daniel Falcon, they embark on a single night of passion, but he walks away, leaving her upset and confused, until he realizes he cannot resist the desire between them and must gain her trust to win her love. Original.

Let me start by saying the story was not about Felicia and john Henry Daniel's parents but how cuteeeeeeeeee was there story it's almost getting 2 stories for the price of one. Now Madelyn and Daniel loved there story great read. Don't hate me for saying this the sex could have been better but the story line and the plot is worth the read Loved it.

I love this book, it was a really good read. I loved Daniel and Madelyn's characters. I love the way Daniel took care of her while slowly falling in love, fighting it all the way. Another great addition to this series.
Loved it! Have read Daniel & Maddie's story several times. Have read all of the books in the Taggart, Falcon, Grayson and now Grayson Friends series. This is my favorite.
Heart of the Falcon Dam meets Madeline-one of his friends sisters, in the city. They share lunch and some sight seeing around San Antonio. He thinks nothing of going 900 miles to get the pair of boots he likes. They both work in the petroleum industry and are bound to run into one another again as he's moving his business to Houston. Shes pregnant and he's responsible and does take care of her medically. She befriends his mother and they get close and she's off to visit with her relatives. Twins party was not the place to tell the family. just to enjoy the madhouse of all relatives meeting to celebrate. Also touches on the romance of Felicia and John Henry.
This was my first Francis Ray book. I fell in love with it and then had to go back to read about the Taggerts. I think she was the first African American romance author I ever read and got hooked. She is still one of my favorites. The intrigue of the protected baby sister of the Taggert brothers falling in love with their scandalous player friend. The consequences and the love that eventually follows gets you intrigued. I read it so much it fell apart.
Daniel, Daniel, Daniel!!! I enjoyed this book very much. It is part of an interconnected family series. Daniel is an arrogant guy who turns out to be a softie where Madelyn is concerned. Some portions of the story were unbelievable but then again, this is a romance novel, not real life. Plus the guy on the cover is gorgeous!!
My first book in the Taggart/Falcon series. A pleasant surprise which has me curious about Matt and Kane story. Daniel a total alpha was not a jerk for the very young Madelyn. He was just enough but not overpowering. I found that I enjoyed the side story with his parents as well as the main story.
Great Great Great heart story! Madelyn Taggart baby sis to the strong overprotective Matt & Kane Taggart, fell in love with a photo of her brothers friend Daniel Falcon.... And the story went something like this!!! Happy reading
I love that once Madelyn realize Daniel wasn’t going to step up, she put him to work. I love the relationship that Madelyn built with Daniel‘s mom because that was key to Daniel realizing that that baby is his and how much he really cared and fell in love.
Also, I enjoyed Daniel‘s mom and dad‘s story. It was like getting two romances in one. It shows that you have to accept, compromise, and communicate in a relationship.
I love Maddie‘s brothers. They do not play. Daniel was lucky he didn’t get ass kicked.
This was a fun novel. I’m looking forward to Dominique and Trent’s story. I read a sample and was hooked.
This was not only good writing but this was jus t a really good modern romance with an old-fashioned feel. The writer in her typical fashion gives us a feel good story that leaves you with a smile.
Because I have and read Matt's portion of this series and needed Kane , Daniel and his sister's hall's I like that Daniel stop letting how his parents relationship use to be cloud his judgement on love
I don't know if this jacket copy would be used today because it hides the fact that this is a dub con to unintended pregnancy romance. I was ready to push through Daniel being an alphahole but unintended pregnancy is a hard line for me.
Unfortunately, Heart of the Falcon uses my least favorite Romance trope: Oops, I'm pregnant! I was excited to get to know Daniel Falcon more, and it sounded like it was going to be a sweet and steamy friend's little sister Romance. It just let me down though. Daniel and Madelyn run into each other when she's trying to escape the rain. There's an immediate chemistry between them, but Daniel has rules about hooking up with friends' family. But they can't keep their hands off of each other and one thing leads to another.
Heart of the Falcon went down hill really fast. I knew I wasn't going to enjoy it as soon as there's no mention of a condom. A few pages later, Madelyn is sick and figures out that she's pregnant. From there it just gets worse, since Daniel is a 100% dick about it. He immediately says that he can't be the father and she's just like all of the other women who try to pin a baby on him in order to get his money. But oddly enough, when he realized that she was a virgin, he assumed that she was going to cling on to him, because women like her don't sleep around without getting attached. And yet when she tells him about the pregnancy, he accuses her of jumping into bed with another man the very next night. Which is it? You can't have it both ways!
Other than the poorly done surprise pregnancy plot (I mean, use a freaking condom!) and the hero being a straight up jerk, Heart of the Falcon was just boring. I did admire Madelyn for taking responsibility and not letting Daniel make her feel badly. She also works hard and is moving up in her career. But not much happens. Madelyn goes about her business. Daniel flip flops about whether he should be taking care of her. Then they get married. Yawn. There's also a bunch of filler involving Daniel's parents' struggling marriage, which I didn't care about. It seemed like a way to add more drama and some pages since it would be extremely short otherwise.
I simply didn't care for Heart of the Falcon. Pregnancy plots are my absolute least favorite. I don't want the couple getting together just because there's a baby coming! There were times when I did believe that Daniel cared for Madelyn outside of the pregnancy, but it's still what drove them together in the end.
“So far she hadn’t seen one man she wanted all to herself. Well, she had seen him. She just hadn’t met him. Until a couple of years ago when she had seen a photograph of Daniel Falcon with her brother, Matt, she hadn’t known Daniel existed. Since then she hadn’t been able to forget him.” p. 15
This was another romance from the NPR list of swoon-worthy books.(http://www.npr.org/2015/07/29/4267318...) Once again, I can see why this contemporary romance made the grade. I enjoyed meeting Madelyn Taggart and Daniel Falcon. It was especially wonderful to meet a heroine who was very independent and took responsibilities for her actions. Although Taggart and Falcon did not have love at first sight, their tale was fun to read and I knew they would work it out.
Francis Ray was a good writer. She wrote over 50 books and it appears that most of them have been very popular. Her romances should be on any romance reader’s TBR pile.
OMG!! read this book along time ago and it still on my mind. Love the fact that its a Romance that makes you day dream about every sentence you read. I love it!!!
Initial thoughts: 1. Madelyn was too naive. 2. Daniel was in denial too long. 3. Daniel's parents (Felicia and John Henry) were adorable. They bumped this to 3 stars to be honest.
