Very solid herbal & handbook on male health. Encourages discernment, realism, and self-sufficiency. There are some excellent recipes within, like mulled aphrodisiac wine and medicinal marinated garlic. Highly recommended.
Honestly I thought this book would be dry. I read it mostly for my love of herbs and the men in my life. But Green is such an engaging author I found the book thoroughly engaging. His humor and unique way of describing things made me giggle--a rare thing when reading an herbal. I even read straight through the materia medica section--and enjoyed it!
How many scores of books are written on women's health? Or how about children? But how few are written on the wonder that is the male body? How many resources are there for men who want to live healthy, vibrant lives?
James Green's book is the guide to health for men. He brings the magic of herbology out of the shadows and offers it to any man who has ever suffered from lagging libido, heart disease or acne.
So men, do your bodies a favor. And women, do a favor for the men you love.
My sister gave me this book, and honestly I may have lost it. It may have been a little too technical and over my head, or perhaps was addressing issues that I couldn't relate to...? Not sure why I wasn't into this one, maybe I'll pick it up when I'm older.
