Hera rules over Mount Olympus as Queen of the Gods. She is a matronly figure who is both patroness and protector of women. She is worshiped as the overseer of marriage, children and family. She is the representation of the happy domestic life. In Thessalian Witchcraft Hera presides over all weddings and marital unions. She is also invoked to aid in childbirth and to grant revenge to women who have been wronged.
