Stumbling Into Him

A story that will have you laughing through every page...

Holly has spent her whole life as a walking disaster, from running into walls, tripping over invisible objects, and always being in the wrong place at the wrong time. When a seemingly normal outing taking her overly opinionated Corgi for a walk resulted in an object to the face, she didn’t think her day could get any worse. The moment she opened her eyes and saw the Adonis standing over her, she knew she’d been wrong. It was about to get a whole lot worse.

Ben’s lived his whole life disobeying his uptight, self-centered, shrew of a mother. Instead of going into the family business, he followed his dreams and opened his veterinarian clinic. One ordinary day at the dog park, and a rogue dog toy later, he found himself captivated by the curvy woman that had a feistiness which set him on fire.

It could only get better from here, right? Too bad his mother had other plans.

Standalone Rom-Com. HEA.

Stumbling Into Him is book one in the Stumbling Through Life series by Molly O’Hare. This is my very first book by Molly and what a joy this book was.

Holly Flanagan is a librarian and mom to a very spoiled Corgi. Holly sees herself as a bigger girl, who was clumsy to a fault. She couldn’t seem to walk across a room without tripping over some invisible object. Holly’s father can no longer work and is partially disabled so Holly spends any free time she has doing what she can for him. Holly only had to work a half day so she decided to take her Corgi, Waffles, to the dog park. But when a runaway Frisbee hits her in the face and she finds a man straight out of the romance novels she loves to read standing over her, her life is forever changed.

“If there were a sporting category on tripping over invisible objects she’d win gold twice over.”

veterinarian

Ben Richman loves being a veterinarian. His mother not so much. Ben lost his father years ago and now his manipulative mother wants him to take over the family business. But Ben has no interest in the business what so ever. He’s playing Frisbee with his dog at the park when the Frisbee accidentally hits a woman in the head. She’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. First, he needs to see to her injuries. Then he needs to see if he can get to know her better.

“When I’ve read scenes like this in books I used to roll my eyes and say the author had an overactive imagination. Guess I was wrong.”

Kiss

Ben and Holly soon realize that they can’t deny the chemistry between them. But they also fill an empty place in each other’s lives. Holly can’t believe someone like Ben wants to spend time with her. Ben loves that Holly makes him laugh. She and her father feel like family. But not everyone is happy about them. Ben’s mother will do just about anything to get what she wants. She wants Holly out of her son’s life and wants her son working for her.

stumbling into him molly o'hare

These two were just so cute together. Hot guy with cute animals? That alone makes him a winner! He was so wonderful for Holly. Where she saw flaws, he saw beauty. This was a fun, sexy story that I really enjoyed.

“Who said real life wasn’t like romance novels? She’d love to beg to differ. Her life was a romance novel come to life.”

Stumbling Into Him is pure perfection! This is the type of book that is a comfort book. Whenever you are feeling down, or need a happy boost you can pick this book up and know without doubt that you will be happy again in no time! Molly O'Hare gives us sweet and funny so effortlessly. I just want to dive right back in and feel the love from all these characters. Each one is more special than the last. It's a family I want to be apart of daily!

Holly is just plain witty. She's always got a quick comeback to anything, between her wit and clumsiness she's one of my favorite characters ever. Ben, sigh, Ben is just something else altogether. He's yummy, he's sweet, he's hot, he's sexy, when he lets go all I can say is "damn, gimmie some of that". Ben is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy!

Along with Ben and Holly we have their wonderful dogs, Ripley and Lord Waffles. We also have Mildred and Henry. They, including the dogs, are such a great set of supporting characters. Everything about Stumbling Into Him is perfection, the writing steals all of your attention and the characters steal your heart. Molly O'Hare is going to have all the ladies going to the Vet office searching for their Ben!

ARC BOOK RELEASE
Release Date-15/5/18

"Stumbling Into Him" By Mollie O'Hare was a lovely feel-good humorous romantic comedy that ticked all my boxes and more.
The first thing I have read by this particular author it certainly won't be the last.
I found it a delightful tale that definitely brought an easy smile to my face.
Telling the story of veterinarian Ben and his sexy Librarian Holly, and the pitfalls these two new lovers encounter along the way.
With misbehaving furballs, Hollys inate clumsiness and horrendously evil mother in laws; "Stumbling into Him" plays all its cards splendidly.
Dragging the reader along on its topsy-turvy never a dull moment ride.
I loved Ben's easy-going acceptance of Holly; he was so adorable and his vulnerability in regards to his girl just made him seem more delectable.
He also knew when to bring it and flip the switch and go into protective mode; no one messes with his GRACE (Bens nickname for Holly)
Hollys less than conventional persona was also so refreshing; I adored that she was a bigger girl and I loved seeing her come into her own as she slowly realises that Ben accepts and loves everything about her.
Seeing her blossom under his love and radiate self-confidence was lovely to behold.
This was very insta-love and the timeline does move quickly but surprisingly this still seemed believable and I was rooting for Holly and Ben all the way.
"Stumbling Into Him" was told from dual POV and also had some interesting secondary characters.
My favourite being Holly's workmate Mildred; she was bloody hilarious.
This was predictable in places but do I care?
NAH!!!!
giphy.gif
"Stumbling Into Him" was such a pleasurable experience that made me laugh out loud in places that I couldn't really give a hoot.
I really enjoyed this and that's the important thing in my opinion.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "Stumbling Into Him" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Reading Stumbling Into Him is like getting the greatest hug in the world. Overflowing with feel good sweetness and laugh out loud humor! My face hurts from the nonstop smile I’ve been wearing the entire time I was reading this. You could be having the worst day ever, but if you pick up this book I guarantee it will cure whatever ails you. It’s like Molly O’Hare sat down and said “Today I’m going to bring pure happiness to the world” when she started writing this. Stumbling Into Him is not only sweeter than sugar and hilarious, it’s also got the absolute perfect amount of steam to boot making it the book equivalent of eating your favorite candy with the bonus of being calorie free!

Aside from the epic levels of feel good (but seriously, did I mention enough how epic those levels are?) the characters themselves are wonderful. I think every woman out there can relate to Holly on some level. Be it her expert clumsy abilities, her love of animals, or even how she views her own body. She’s witty, smart, adorable, and has such a loving heart, but most of all she’s REAL. Reading Holly is like seeing bits of not just myself but other women who mean the world to me all wrapped up into one hilarious character.

And don’t even get me started on Waffles. We all deserve a dog like Lord Waffles in our lives. I loved that little canine diva! Fur babies aside, there’s also Ben aka the most perfect book boyfriend there ever was. Going along with what I’ve mentioned once or twice (or a hundred times) the man is a complete sweetheart. Gentle, caring, HOT, and did I mention he’s a vet who dedicates his life to saving animals? No? Well he is. *dies at Ben’s perfection* Together Holly and Ben bring endless amounts of laughter, happiness, and swoony romance in this irresistibly adorable book.

When Holly (the most uncoordinated and klutzy woman of the year!) literally gets hit in the face (ok…it wasn’t on purpose, and it was with a Frisbee…at a dog park) her life changes!

Although Ben is a veterinarian, he offers to take Holly back to his clinic to check her out, and reluctantly she agrees. She feels he is doing it out of sympathy, as she is curvy, and he is hot! She doesn’t realize he is attracted to her instantly!

The supporting characters in this story were fabulous! From Holly’s dog (Lord Waffles), to Ben’s dog (Ripley), to Holly’s father (Henry), to Holly’s hilarious co-worker (Mildred), to Ben’s bitch mother (Barbra)…they all came together to create this fantastic 2 person POV story!

I laughed from chapter one and throughout this whole book! It was funny, had drama, tears, love, sex, anger, and animals!!! It was a fantastic read that I would whole-heartedly recommend!!!

What is there not to love? A hero who is a vet, a corgi called Mr waffles, and a kitty nicknamed Twitch who is a special needs kitty. That's a perfect mix right there!
It was so cute how Ben would call Holly 'Grace' because of her clumsiness (she's full of grace - get it?). When the potential for them to be pulled apart came along, I really thought it was all going to go to hell in a hand basket, but it - wait, maybe you need to read it for yourself to find out what happened *wink* All I can say is - YES!!
Great story with engaging characters.

4.5 Clumsy Stars

Holly and Ben meet under some not so great circumstances. Of course we find out that Holly is prone to bouts of bad luck and is quite uncoordinated. As romantic comedies go I have to say this is one of the funnier ones I have read. I can picture Ben’s smiles, smirks and looks old adoration and lust towards Holly. I can also picture her stumbling, tripping, and looks of frustration and Ben’s laughing at her mishaps. This is an unlikely couple to say the least with a strong love of animals that brings them together and a sense of fulfillment keeping them there. Ben finds someone who makes him feel more complete and Holly finds a man who boosts her self esteem and makes her feel like the most important woman in his world. Of course someone always has to try to destroy beautiful relationships like this one, but no worries, it just shows us how much of a team this couple can be. In the end, there are two people who, on paper, don’t make sense, but in reality make perfect sense.

Stumbling Into Him is a hilarious and swoon-worthy rom-com.
Holly is a klutz, especially in inopportune times. She also has the most hilarious dog named Waffles or Lord Waffles. Her coworker Mildred is who I look up to become in the future. *le sigh*
Ben is a sexy vet, who has an Aussie named Ripley, with a mother who I imagine as Cruella De Vil. She's easy to hate like that too.
Ben and Holly's relationship is an instant-lust turned insta-love. The chemistry between these two is amazing. I may have had to stop reading for a moment so I could fan myself. The added drama with Ben's mother just completes it. Overall, Molly did an amazing job in keeping me entertained and laughing-out-loud as well as falling in love with all her characters and I truly do recommend this read immensely.

Stumbling Into Him was a quick cute read. With a colorful cast of characters who stole my heart from her father Henry to Ripley and of course Lord Waffles the corgi.

Holly was a literal train wreck. The girl was down more than she was up. While out taking Lord Waffles for a walk she takes a frisbee to the face. The god standing above her is way out of her league well according to Holly any way.

Ben is a well loved Veterinarian. He is out with his beloved shepherd Ripley when he collides with Holly. He is enamored by the clumsy girl with a big heart and a spitfire attitude. They quickly fall for each other but it’s not without its pitfalls. The one person standing in their way is the horrendous witch with a capital B that is his mother Barbra.

I liked this book I truly did but I felt the whole klutz issue was overboard. It was just a constant part of the book to a point it overtook the story. I liked that Holly was a girl with a real body. Granted those issues overtake her sometimes like her thinking she isn’t pretty and slim enough for someone like Ben. I hate his mom plain and simple. She was a deplorable human. She made me angry and I kept saying self this isn’t a real person. All in all this was a very cute read.

Hello Ben, welcome to my book boyfriend dungeon, enjoy your stay. ;)

This was such a light and fun read. Holly was hilarious, as was Mildred, lol and she’s just a side character and 60! I want her as my mom lol. I also had a huge craving for waffles and seriously made some just because of that craving I got while reading. I blame the author. Maybe called her out on it too, lol.

The chemistry between Ben and Holly was off the charts. That man, whew, that man was pure alpha dominance. He fell for Holly regardless of her own insecurities. Most of were centered around her weight. Which being a bigger girl myself, found pretty awesome to have this hunk lust at.

I loved how Ben connected with Holly’s dad. That was a great relationship to see develop. Family is super important to him and even with his messed up one he can valué the meaning of it.

My one thing, was the insta love. In some books it works, in this one I felt it was a little forced. Like bam, bam, bam, fast. I felt like their love was genuine and they were meant for each other, but happened too quickly. I would of loved to see them more and have real couple fights and struggles that come with a new relationship. Make it more real in my book.

All in all, it’s a solid 4 ⭐️ read from me. I got some laughs, some very steamy scenes and a HEA.

If you’re looking for a fun, light, steam, quick read, this is it for you. Be prepared to make waffles though. I’m not even sorry about that lol. Plus I added a new book boyfriend, so win win for me.

Safe for my safety seeking gals

What a nice little surprise I stumbled upon with this book/author. This was my first read by this author and I'm NOT disappointed.

The H, Ben was gone for the h, Holly since their first meet. He pretty much latched onto her on the first page and didn't let go for the rest of the book. She was a massive klutz, always falling over invisible things. The only drama came in the form of Ben's mother, who was a horrid woman but he doesn't let her get away with hurting his woman. We also get a frisky, says-whatever-she-wants, HILARIOUS, sixty something librarian who works with Molly.

I love these kinds of stories where the H is totally head-over-heels for the h from the beginning. Neither virgins and neither with anyone else after meeting. Good book. I definitely recommend for fans of insta-love and hero crazy for heroine. There is no epilogue but they do have HEA.

If you like curvy heroines and sweet alpha heroes Stumbling Into Him is the perfect read for you! It was a sexy, sweet read with lots of funnies.

I really loved Holly aka Grace. Her devotion to her father and her pet Corgi, Lord Waffles, was one of my favorite parts. Her compassion was a perfect match to Ben’s. I really loved them together.

You also can’t help but love Ben. It was basically love at first frisbee hit for him—even with a bloody lip and a chipped tooth Holly drew him in. The attraction between them was off the charts! His love for animals and his drive to live his own life on his terms made him a perfect alpha hero.

Molly’s mix of humor and romance made this an excellent read. I definitely recommend this book and will probably read it again.

This book wasn't for me. I tried to pick this up- T W I C E. It didn't really work for me.

Probably an isolated case.
Probably it's not the book- it might be just me.

NOTE: Unfortunately due to my hectic schedule, I will be unable to make long and detailed reviews like before. However, I will try to do my very best to at least take the time to write something. Brief yet, nonetheless.

**Received an ARC for my honest review. Thank you Molly O'Hare for this amazing opportunity**
4.75 Laughing stars for this book. What a beautiful romantic comedy.

What a way to meet a "Greek god" by slamming head on into each other. Ouch! Well anyway that was how Holly and Ben met. This poor woman was dished all the bad luck one could find. Holly is such a sweet girl who works at the Library as a Librarian. Ben is also a very nice guy who owns his own Veterinary Practice. Ben and Holly are like a pair of socks, one cannot go without the other. They just belong together, and of course there are a few hiccups waiting for them. Holly has such a kind heart, especially where animals are concerned.

Holly's dad, Henry is such a wonderful person. I just adore him. He loves his daughter so much. Despite the one problem with his health, he is still a very loving and caring parent and his acceptance of Holly and Ben's closeness was just heartwarming.

Now unfortunately I cannot say the same for Ben's mother. Oh my goodness,if you haven't met a b¿tch yet, now she's number 1 on the list of b¿tch lists. I just wish Waffles would "poop" on her then she would know exactly how it would feel to be in a shitty situation. You have to read the book to see what an evil person she really is. She has so much up her sleeve it is just unbelievable.

All in all I just loved all the character's in this book. Well written. I just hope I did not give away too much, but it is impossible not to at least give you an idea of how wonderful this book is.

I have one warning though. Please be very cautious when reading this book as there will be a lot of laughing involved.
This is a sweet romance and I highly recommend this book to all Rom-Com lovers.

My best part in the book was when Holly asked Ben: "It amazes me you can walk around with this thing. How do you not sit on it?

Oh HOLY HILARIOUS HELL BATMAN! I swear I'm still laughing at some serious fur babies in this story! And the humans weren't so bad either! I'm so completely & utterly in love with Molly O'Hare's original & talented writing style that I'm dying for more already! See there's Holly aka Grace, who seems to trip over her own feet at times, who meets the hot hot hot McVet, Ben, when a flying object hits her in the mouth as she's walking her corgi, and the hilarious adventure begins. This story, I almost can't even write this review, because I'm starting to laugh all over again at the craziness that ensued from then on. First all of the cast of secondaries includes two dogs, a cat, a dirty talking older librarian, and an opinionated father. It's like a fantastic joke. Then there's Holly & Ben who are so awesome together, that every interaction is hilarious, while the hot undertones are just waiting to explode into sexy times. And when it does, they lit it up! Then while all this fun is going on, BAM! Big twists come out of left field, so I'm dropping big f-bombs! Yep, fantastic story that I couldn't get enough of, so I could do no less than HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This book was totally wonderful!!! I couldn’t stop laughing out loud!!! Holly was hysterical from her clumsiness to her one liners. She pulled me right in and was completely believable! Grace was a perfect nickname which brings me to Ben the Adonis!! Whew!! He makes me hot all over! The perfect gentleman and definitely a hot and passionate lover!! They are pure genius together and completely destined for each other!

Lord Waffles had me rolling on the floor!! Pompous, demanding and lovable all at the same time! Definitely a scene stealer for sure!! Ripley is totally adorable and definitely is obedient!

They all make the perfect family with the two dogs and Twitch the kitty!!

I loved Henry her dad!! Very honest open and wants nothing, but the best for his daughter!! Ben is definitely the best! And, Mildred is a total kick and brash!! Love her character!!! Let’s not forget about Barbra his mother.... Ugh!!!!

Wonderful book and wonderful author! I love everything she has done so far!!! I am definitely looking forward to her next story! Definitely worth the read! Loved it, loved it , loved it!!! Couldn’t put it down and read it in one day!!

There sure is a lot of shouting in the library! Lots of hilarious, ridiculous lines in this, an insecure BBW, slapstick klutziness, cartoon-evil mother character, Mildred is a gem, and the whole thing is just absurd because men like Ben do not exist. Of course I enjoyed it.

Stumbling Into Him has it all. Romance, comedy, and heart-warming moments. Ben is the kind of guy any girl wants to fall in love with. He's kind, compassionate, and sexy. And Holly is a girl you want to be best friends with. She'll make you laugh and would do anything for you. I loved Holly's dad. He was the voice of reason and brutally honest. Lord Waffles stole the show in so many moments. This is a fabulous read, and I can't wait to see what's next from Molly O'Hare.

**if you want to laugh as much as you swoon, READ THIS BOOK**
I sat down one night to just read the first few pages and see what Stumbling Into Him was all about. An hour later, I had to force myself to put the book down.
Holly is a librarian with a quick wit, a weakness for animals, body issues and a penchant for falling. Which she does, quite often. However - on one occasion she literally falls into the arms of Ben, the Adonis who happens to be a veterinarian. I have to say - I have seen this scene before - girl "falls" into guys arms - sparks fly and blah blah. I always kind of roll my eyes. That being said, it worked in this book. In fact, everything worked in this book.
Ben is THE PERFECT book boyfriend. He's so sweet and patient. And HOT. AND a vet, which means he has a soft spot for animals too. *Score*
Lord Waffles. I cannot say enough about Lord Waffles. He might be the secret star of the book. There was an interesting set of support characters - my favorite being Mildred, Holly's co-worker at the library.
I honestly cannot say enough about this book, and I feel like I'm rambling because I want to gush about it. Molly has a knack for rom-com, believable characters, and quirky animals - and she has the ability to mash all that together with stellar, feel-good sweet romance that leaves you feeling satisfied.

I always go into RomComs by new to me authors with a bit of cynicism, but that cynical side quickly flew by the wayside with this one. Molly O'Hare has wonderfully blended a sweet romance with laugh out loud funny. The romance does progress quickly, almost crossing into instalove, but for Ben and Holly, it just plain works. The sassy klutz that is Holly compliments Ben's super sweetness and they are absolutely adorable together. I had to smile every time Ben called Holly, 'Grace' (I've called my wonderful, clumsy daughter that for years for the same reason).
We do get a bit of angst by way of Ben's overbearing mother, but it's mixed with plenty of humor to keep things light and fun. By contrast, Holly's dad is the parent everyone should have.
To run it down, this one is a sweet, steamy romance with lots of laughs and just the right amount of angst. The story is engaging, the characters are interesting, and the dialogue is witty and often hilarious. As if all of that isn't enough, I have to say that I was impressed with how real Holly is. She has the same insecurities about her curves that plague many women and I love that even with those insecurities, she's still confident enough in herself to make a move on the sexy Ben, who is more than happy to show her just how much he appreciates those curves. This in one RomCom that I would easily recommend to anyone looking for an entertaining story and needs a good laugh.

Review by: Jennifer
(4 stars)

When Holly is hit with a runaway Frisbee, its nothing new for her, she is used to things like that happening. What she didn't expect was the owner of the Frisbee to actually own up and not only apologize but make sure that she was ok; it doesn't hurt that Ben finds her super attractive. But for Holly, she doesn't need this distraction, she has enough worries and troubles without Ben coming into the mix. Ben doesn't see it this way and in fact sees that Holly is just what he wants, but he may have to convince her of that. But when Ben sees just how clumsy Holly is, will he still want to even be with her?

This was a cute quick read, with some drama, some sexy times, some quirky moments, and some doggy antics. I give this 4 stars.

Loved this couple! Ben is a swoon worthy vet that falls for the girl who falls over her own feet.
He proves to her that nice guys can and will fall for what she classes herself as.
I really want to read more of this couple. I want to know about their HEA. It would of been funny to read her being pregnant and Ben attempting to wrap her in bubble wrap 😂😂😂😂😂

This was a cute romance about a very clumsy lady who just can’t catch a break with her clumsiness but it does help her gain the attention of her sexy hero. It was a cute and quick read with some drama but nothing over the top. I loved it and would recommend to anyone looking for a light sexy read.

I just loved this book! The characters were fantastic and quirky. As an animal lover this book just warmed my heart because of both Ben and Holly's love of animals. Ben is a vet so double yum! How Ben and Holly meet is quote memorable and it set the tone of the book. I can't tell you how many times I laughed while reading this one. It's a light, fun, and hilarious read that I highly suggest you read. You don't want to miss out on this one. It has such sweet grab at your heart moments, but also some serious heart clenching moments. It's well balanced with what I look for one a romance; heart, heat, and humor.

“Who is this…” his mother looked Holly up and down. “Peasant?”
Holly’s head shot towards his mother. “Who are you calling a peasant, you old hag?”

The level of unnecessary and badly written drama is insane. Who talks like this? "If you ever talk bad about her again, I'll basically hate you forever". He seriously just met her and he's talking like this?
It's too much... I can't even rate it.

This is a book so over the top dramatic and unnecessary lines and twists, that you get bored very easily.
For example, the main character (I can't even rememeber her name) wanted to ask about dinner with her father, and this is what happens:

“Her eyes held so many emotions. “Let’s talk about it once we get inside.”
Wanting to talk inside, could be considered a good thing. If she wanted to end it she would have done it outside. There was something else really bothering her. He felt his need to protect her kick in. If someone had hurt her, or if she was in trouble, he’d do anything to fix it. Seeing her like this, felt like a knife right in his chest.
“Okay, babe,” he said in a comforting tone.”

Did you see how long that was?

And this one, sigh, what will we do with you guys... You need better dialogues.
“I’m sorry, babe. I would never willingly put you in danger.” Talking about unprotected sex here...

I could not put this book down!

Rom Coms are my all time favorite genre and Molly O'Hare knocks it out of the park with this one. Ben and Holly have certainly the most interesting Meet-Cute and I was literally grinning from ear to ear as I read their courtship. Their playful banter is seriously amazing and holy shit the sex is FIRE. And Ben is seriously so sweet and kind it melted my heart. He is the most perfect book boyfriend! Also, Mildred and Henry were THE BEST secondary characters. Seriously, I need more of them. I can't wait to see what's next and Molly has certainly gained herself another devoted reader!
