Hendrix Ford is a prick, a playboy and we despise each other. Need I say more? This hostile feeling is more like second nature at this point. Something embedded deep in our DNA since childhood to where our lines of petty tend to show quite often under the curious eyes of high society. Yet, lucky us, our mothers are best friends which means we’re thrown into each other’s path more often than we’d like. And, the not so funny thing is, that we’re about to be more than ever before with one nauseating word—marriage. That’s a colossal problem. Not only because I can’t stand to breathe the same air as him but because I have a secret I’ve been holding from New York’s upper class for years. And Hendrix…he’ll use that against me to rip away everything I hold near and dear to my heart. I might despise him. But my spiteful enemy has a hard-on for making me suffer.
I’d rather eye-fuck her than marry her. Aspyn Miller is the ultimate bane of my sanity—playing off some Gossip Girl bullshit—and I’d rather keep her that way than deal with five years of her being my wife. Thanks to our parents and their top-notch decision-making, I’m stuck with the woman who’ll go purposely out of her way to throw me under any headline, with any lie she’s conjured up in that creative head of hers. Unfortunately, her thick thighs don’t compensate for her big mouth. And that’s, again, a drawback for me. I’m trying to build a business and my investors believe I’m some entitled, rich boy with pussy always on the brain with the business sense of a fucking teenage boy. She doesn’t want to marry me. I don’t want to marry her. And I’m sure as hell not waving my white flag for a truce. However, I have a nuclear bomb when I find out her haunted little secret that, in turn, only makes me hate her more.
Hazel Grace is an avid music lover, an undefined human being, and hardcore Oakland Raiders fan from the mitten state of Michigan. Always surprising her readers with weird Michigan sayings (they have their own cuss words) and writing "what the f*ck" storylines. When she's not writing, she's on Spotify finding new bands, working on her Camaro or watching shows with her kids with annoying songs attached to them.
Arranged marriage is one of my favorite tropes!!! Enemies to lovers is another favorite of mine!!! The plot is not very uncommon, but the way the author had handled this story was amazing and honestly, when I was forced to take a break of this book, I was only thinking about when I will get back to it again!!! I loved this story... I am enamored with Hendrix and Aspyn and even though it was a big story, I liked that the author took her time to navigate us through their world and their constant hatred toward each other... It made the whole adventure even more beautiful!!!! I am very glad I took a chance on this book!!! It was worth it!!!
"Aspyn and I -that's a bad fucking joke."
Hendrix and Aspyn are running in the same circle.... Their mothers are best friends and their families have always got together on several occassions... You would think that these two would be best friends, but since they were just kids, they weren't stand one another and they were always on each other's throat... Through out the years both of them had made too many nasty and ugly things to each other and the divide between them was becoming bigger and bigger as the years were passing by...
"If this man could keep his fucking mouth shut, he'd be the perfect specimen of male."{Aspyn}
"Perfect... if she wasn't such a fucking pain in my entire ass."{Hendrix}
And now, they are forced to get married for whole five years in order to get what they want and to save their families from destruction... But how can a marriage between them be bareable when neither of them wants to actually make an effort??? Hendrix needs the money to open his own business and Aspyn is hiding a secret that has the potential to ruin them both, once and for all!!! What will happen when they will be forced to be together and act like a real married couple??? Will their hatred last forever or is it a masqued feeling that was always drawing them together???
"We're married in name only. Not because I want you or anything else."
I freakin' loved this book sooo much!!! Hendrix and Aspyn were both very stubborn and they weren't backing down to a challenge and that wasn't always a good thing... They had done sooo many things to each other, things unforgivable and unforgettable!!! I adored when their families forced them together cause there was potential there!!! They were meant for each other, but they were very proud and stubborn to realize and accept it!!! I enjoyed their ride and I loved how the author proceed with their story!!!
"Deny me... do it, baby. I'll have you screaming that all day and night, so you understand it's real. I've had a piece of you... and I want the whole damn thing."
If you are enjoying the same tropes as me, you should go for this story and meet these characters!!!! I will always remember them with a huge smile on my face... And for a reason, I would love to see more of this world... I would love to read Hendrix's brothers' stories!!! I believe they will be very intriguing!!! And now, I am kind of sad that I have to let go this couple driven by hate!!! But I am very happy that I took a chance on them!!!
"I have a wife to tame."
**I received an ARC for the exchange of an honest review**
The TENSION! The REAL animosity between Aspyn & Hendrix made for some SERIOUS foreplay throughout this book. What did I love the most? The way he falls first. And the way we get to see it happening.
I don’t have enough words to explain why the fans of enemies to lovers need to read this, but it NEEDS to happen.
This is arranged marriage gold! Two EXTREMELY stubborn people and their innate urge to fight EVERYTHING tooth and nail.
I was very intrigued when I read the blurb of this book, I loved the tropes and this was exactly what I'd been expecting from an enemies to lovers, arranged marriage romance. Hendrix & Aspyn's mother's were bestfriends so it was natural that they knew each other since their childhood but they gre up hating each other's guts. But now they're forced to get married for five years to save their families from facing d destruction. Hendrix is a playboy who doesn't want to settle down, especially not with his nemesis while Aspyn on the other hand is just as opposed to the idea of them being tied to each other, she's keeping a huge secret that can blow up and ruin their relationship.
“We're married in name only. Not because I want you or anything else.”
I liked both Hendrix & Aspyn. While they both made mistakes and pushed each other's boundaries, I loved their chemistry and it was just so much fun seeing them throw jabs at each other lol. But seeing them finally fall for each other in the process was amazing. Some parts were a bit lengthy but I loved the characters. I especially loved Aspyn's relationship with her sister Berklee and her brothers-in-law Bryce and Alfie. The angst was good and added another layer of emotions in the story. Overall the story was chaotic, funny, with awesome side characters, swoony confessions and a great hate chemistry between Aspyn & Hendrix. It was entertaining and definitely one hell of a rollercoaster ride. I'm looking forward to read more books written by Hazel Grace!
I like billionaire romances, I do. But this was so shallow? Like I couldn't give a shit about the rich people problems in this book, know what I mean? Eh.. I DNF this.
'Till hate do us part consumed me for days. I had work and all i wanted to do is read. it's all I thought about. I was sad to finish this book and now I'm left wanting more. So Please Hazel write add to this world. I would love Bryce and Berklee's book.
When I first started reading I wasn't 100% sure where this story would go, I had only read the blurb. I knew it was arranged marriage but that's it. And I knew it wasn't mafia. I only ever read AM in mafia books so when the plot started to develop and flowed so well I feel in love. Not just with this amazing plot but with Henny. HE MADE THIS BOOK. I haven't read a man like him. He made me uneasy with his rude, dirty mouth. The way he speaks, his actions. I just fell completely in love. He is every woman worse nightmare on paper but he's not that person. Hazel pushes the boundaries with most of her books but for this book she went in. In a way I can't explain. It's not a dark read but she crosses a line a line when a lot of authors don't. She's a very real author, says and writes what she's wants and that's why I love her and her books.
A little about the book - Aspyn and Hendrix grow up together, there families are very close and very rich but Aspyn and Hendrix are enemies. They truly hate each other. Throughout the years they make each other life hell. Their parents get themselves into some money troubles. And the only way out is for Aspyn and Hendrix to get married. There's lots of details to why but I won't give anything away.
This book goes from 0 to a 100 very fast. This book has everything I love to read. Banter, exes, rich hot men, some of the hotest sex I've read, a man who has the most filthiest mouth, love, and hate. So much hate. It's the best Enemies to Lovers book I've read.
I really recommend this book. It is brilliant read.
Favorite quotes - 'Why, just last night I used a vibrator on a redhead while I ate out her ass."
"You might be beautiful, Aspyn, but youre a cunt and mu brother likes you."
'I'm not taking dicks every weekend like he is pussy."
"Where do you to have your bachelor party?" "At the bottom of a lake or the ocean somewhere."
tropes!! 👇 -hate to love -secret baby -billionaire romance -arranged marriage -slight daddy k!nk
thank you so much to Hazel Grace to an ARC of this book!
let’s just start by saying i enjoyed this book but i just don’t think it was for me! i think this was quite long and filled with a lot of unnecessary filler. i found aspyn (the heroine) slightly annoying and hendrix (hero) was very unlikeable for me and i just found myself cringing at him.
my main problem was the length of this book as well as a bit of the writing. the “plot twist” wasn’t very twisty to me and it just made me roll my eyes. also, aspyn said she “did everything for her daughter” but then literally is barely in her life. hendrix was in her life more than aspyn was. it just goes to prove i should not read books with kids in it!
overall i unfortunately did not enjoy this but highly recommend Hazel Grace’s other contemporary romance. 3.75/5⭐️ 3.5/5🔥
enjoyed every single moment cause i giggled and kicked my feet a lot. this enemies to lovers is one of my favs cause they were real enemies. they hated each other A LOT and i was here for it. it does not have a predictable plot however i was able to predict it 😆 would definitely recommend this to everyone bc it was entertaining
I was lucky enough to receive this book as an ARC and OMG this book is absolutely brilliant and I LOVE Henny despite the asshole he is. The enemies to lovers aspect was unbelievable and kicked off from the start.
The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts but mixed with the fact they are enemies and forced into a life together it is non stop. Then bang the secret that’s revealed took it to the next level.
I love how this book is not only full of sex/spice but also has the funny side as well. Seeing them finally fall for each other and grow was just perfect.
Hazel Grace knows how to write a book with everything in it and this one won’t disappoint.
Hateful banter, high tension and great chemistry make this an engaging enemies to love romance. Not only did I enjoy the main characters but also the side characters. I would have liked more depth or flashbacks of the reason for the hate since they have been family friends from birth. Loved the unexpected interesting twist and trope that I normally don’t like however the author did a great job with it.
Contemporary romance, forced marriage, high society world, spice,Dual POV.
5 PHENOMENAL STARS!! Phenomenal....the angst, hatred and sexiness in this book is off the charts. This author brings it all in her storytelling....I love it. Hendrix and Aspyn will take you on one crazy rollercoaster ride, so tighten your seatbelt and enjoy. Hazel Grace is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
La calidad de la escritura no me convenció y el libro requiere una buena cantidad de edición. Algunas situaciones carecían de lógica y no me agradó que el Hendrix se comportara como un niño caprichoso.
Wrong use of words and tense, bad grammar, missing words, and just poor sentence structure! Some sentences didn't even make sense at all. What a mess. I almost gave up...
...But! And a very big BUT - one of the best enemies to lovers I've read in ages.
So this is definitely between a 3.5 and a 3.75 but I think I am leaning closer to 3.5.
I really enjoyed this. Aspyn and Hendrix were your typical contemporary enemies to lover story. They hate each other, declare themselves mortal enemies and then are forced into a marriage by their families, a marriage neither of them wanted.
I absolutely love the marriage of convenience trope and so I was eating that whole plot point up. I loved seeing them try to manipulate each other into calling off the wedding and that Vegas scene was great.
However, I did have some problems with the “conflict” the author gave Aspyn and Hendrix. Spoilers ahead for those who do not want to know. It is revealed early on in this story that Aspyn has a daughter that no one outside of her parents and her nanny knows about. Now I had some issues with this because Aspyn keeps this a secret for about 75% of the story.
It doesn’t matter that Aspyn and Hendrix went into this marriage both acknowledging that it was “fake” they were still in a legal marriage. Hendrix had every right to know Aspyn had a daughter and that he was going to be a step father BEFORE they got legally married. His reaction to learning about Brielle was 100% justified and honestly he should’ve made her work harder for his forgiveness.
And then (and this is a major spoiler) it is revealed that the one-night stand that resulted in Brielle was actually with Hendrix (?!?!) and that Aspyn knew the WHOLE time. Still she was not the one to tell him this, instead he finds out from his ex-girlfriend.
I really did not think the secret baby storyline was even necessary in this book because Brielle wasn’t even a major part of Aspyn’s life tbh. Aspyn went on an entire honeymoon (to be fair I guess she thought Hendrix would be coming with her but even when he didn’t she invited her sister but the sister couldn’t have brought the daughter????) without Brielle and she honestly seemed to prioritize her relationship with Hendrix over her relationship with her daughter. “… my daughter asks about me more. She wonders why I’m not there and tucking her in at night. On the flip side, Hendrix wants me all the time” Like Aspyn please get your priorities in order. That paragraph did not sit right with me. It really felt like Brielle was only there to cause conflict between Aspyn and Hendrix rather than being important to Aspyn’s character or provide a meaningful addition to the story.
Overall I did enjoy this book and the writing style of the author. And while I think this could’ve been about 100 pages shorter I absolutely consumed it and I will be reading other books by Hazel Grace.
Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This novel was chaotic fun, strange characters, but plenty of good times, and awesome side characters.
Let me explain.
We got an arranged marriage (no mafia plot haha sorry), two extremely pissed off individuals in said arranged marriage, plenty of secrets, and a tragic circumstance bringing said marriage together.
One's a certified playboy. The other is a certified socialite with plenty of secrets. And awesome side characters who deserve their stories.
You can see how well that will go.
I did enjoy this novel. But things stopped me from giving it complete 5 star gold.
1. The longevity of the book - I mean I definitely know that the book could've closed at 30, maybe chalk it up to 35 chapters. It however didn't need 56 chapters. It was solid, if shortened. 2. The endless amounts of s** - Now I personally enjoy a good steamy romance myself, but I felt the plot often got thrown to the side in favour of steamy good times. Like important issues often got pushed to the backburner (the socialite's secrets), in favour of s**. More focus on the plot might've been nice.
Regardless, if you ignore those issues above, you can enjoy the following instead: 1. The outrageous pranks - finally people who actually hate each other properly. Like...usually in enemies to lovers romances - the pranks were short, or barely mentioned. But here the hate and angst is felt full force. Which I personally loved - and how they referenced enemies to lovers as terrible (the MCs say it) -even though we all know..it's really not, hehe. 2. The confessions - like shit, some of them almost got me all teary up. 3. The realisations - I loved when they realised that going it together ain't always bad.
Bonus point: the awesome side characters: look I need berklee and bryce's story stat. Cause I see somethin for sure and I need I need. Plus the families in general were so cute and nosy..kinda reminded me of my own family to be honest. Funny fun times.
So regardless of the issues, I had a good time with this angsty steamy novel, and I look forward to more of Hazel's novels.
Oh my god I absolutely love Hendrix and Aspyn 😍 Hendrix has known Aspyn since they were little, and they just do not stop pranking each other and causing each other trouble! To save their families fortunes and reputation, they both are forced to commit to each other, and wow.... What a couple they make haha Hazel definitely knows when to throw in a surprise! It's a long book but so so worth it, Hendrix definitely makes you fall in love with him, Aspyn is fiesty and takes no prisoners when someone gets in her way! Once you jump into the Ford / Miller world you won't stop!
This book was sooo freaking good! I love the enemies to lovers trope throw in the arranged marriage and I was sold ! Hendrix and Aspyn’s chemistry was so explosive the sexual tension the love hate oh lord the hate between these two was real ! I was sucked in from beginning till end I couldn’t look away the banter between them had me laughing and other parts I was fanning myself this was such a awesome story I can’t recommend it enough and I’m hoping we get more in this world I will definitely be reading more from this author!
“…Aspyn and I…we’re in it forever. Hate, love, lust, and mentally strangulation…”
this book was such a pleasant surprise. i read the synopsis and since i’m such i sucker for enemies to lovers i had to give a chance. and god so glad i did because it’s so GOOD. everything honestly, the banter, the tension, the intensity, the main characters, the side characters.
absolutely loved hendrix and aspyn’s story. i was obsessed with them since the beginning. they are so so so cute together. and the end with the kids seriously the cutest. i loved them and could not get enough!!!
this was actually so cute. good plot, good characters, good story building but BY GOD WOMAN GET AN EDITOR. so many grammatical errors i thought i was reading a pre-release version of the book. no seriously ask a friend, use mf grammarly but girly fr edit this. also it kind of ruined it for me you must be kidding me. enemies part of enemies to lovers ATE though, she really had me thinking there was no way they were getting past which made it so much better when they finally did.
If you love enemies to lovers this is THE book for it! Omgggg I loved it from chapter one! HAZEL DID THAT 👏👏👏 I'm blown away and idk how Hazel does it! She must have magic powers because she k!lls it everytime! Wow! Just amazing! I need MORE ir everything hazel write forever! Hendrix and Aspyn are everything. I meaaaan the brothers could get ittttt too 😂🤦♀️🥵
I had to stop after reading the 10th time what a Manwhore the H was and how he’d fucked everything available except for h. I am sure the story gets better but this types of hate to love I don’t enjoy

Tropes: 💍 Enemies to lovers 💍 Arranged marriage 💍 Billionaires who've known each other since childhood 💍 Meddling and funny family 💍 Reformed playboy x Sassy heroine 💍 Single mom (but nobody knows she has a daughter)
If you’re looking for a real enemies to lovers, where the main characters are constantly bickering and pushing each others buttons, Till hate do us part is straight up your alley.
Hendrix and Aspyn have known each other their whole lives, running in the same New York high society circles since they were kids, specially as their mothers are best friends (it’s precisely these meddling mothers who make them end in the predicament of marrying one another). Their constant push-and-pull makes for the perfect slow-burn romance full of angst and several misunderstandings, with them going through the different phases of their relationship: from enemies, to lust to lovers. The fact that there were different avenues of conflict: from her secret daughter to his ex, kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next ball to drop. I must say I hated Rozlyn with a passion, as she was the typical goody-two-shoes who pretends to do no wrong but will try to sabotage your relationship in some sleazy way.
I loved how sassy Aspyn was with Hendrix, specially knowing he was a womanizer who was used to women falling at his feet. Having someone stand up to him infuriated him and made him more attracted to her at the same time. That being said, even if she she stood up to him, that didn’t stop her from showing her vulnerability and begging for his forgiveness when the biggest plot twist of the story is revealed (I’m not making any spoilers), specially because Hendrix had always been the one to try to make amends after a disagreement.
I would love to get Bryce and Alfie’s stories, because the banter between the brothers was funny as heck. Even if nothing’s confirmed, I would love to read Bryce and Berklee’s story, specially after finding out Hendrix is opposed to the idea. These two would be Hendrix and Aspyn 2.0, the womanizer who likes to have fun and the sassy girl who will not bow down to him. Even if I’d love to get a book about them, the story I’d be the most excited about would be Alfie’s, and I’m guessing it would be a second chance romance with the girl he alludes to, the one who he lost because he was too proud to stop her from leaving.
All in all, this is my first Hazel Grace book, and rest assured that if she ever releases Bryce or Alfie’s stories, I will most certainly read them!
DNF @42% Stopped right when they finally get “together”. It was supposed to be hot but it wasn’t.
The writing/editing wasn’t the best. Wrong tense, vague pronouns, etc. At times, I had to reread a sentence over more than a few times to try to figure the meaning. Thought the plot might be interesting enough to keep me going…. At 500+ pages it wasn’t worth the time investment or my attention.
This book really is enemies to lover romance, this couple couldn’t get it together without all the lust and drama between them. Aspyn and Hendrix grew up together in high society, but they both have a long history of torturing each other, until one day something monumentally happens, this took on a whole new meaning for their hate/ love relationship.
