The widow of a special forces soldier calls upon her old boyfriend -- who served with her husband -- to help find her kidnapped son. During their search, they encounter other members of her husband's special unit, both friend and foe, and learn the shocking truth behind her husband's death. On the run from powerful political forces, the couple rekindle their love, but will they live long enough to enjoy it?
I liked it. It's 4 and 1/2 stars, but I rounded it to 5. It is a little slow and introspective, but I liked it. The heroine wasn't whinny and she knew what she wanted and it's a rare thing nowdays. The hero is slightly less likable, but still jummy. The plot was interesting, even if they could find out who was the villain sooner.
That says it all! Fantastic! Justine Davis is one of the best writers ever. Her stories are captivating, her characters are real and her descriptions are the best. Anyone who wants a great read, a great escape, a great story, and a heart warming connection should pick up this book. Or any of her other books! Enjoy!
