Learning to Build or Choreograph a Loving Relationship
Sometimes it is easy to forget that loving another person and accepting love from that person is not an innate quality. Perhaps having the desire to love and to be loved is natural, but loving and accepting love needs to be modeled for an individual to develop a true understanding of the exchange of feelings. For the Mitchell brothers, a healthy giving and receiving of love has been hampered by growing up being used as chess pieces by their parents as their mother and father moved in and out of love, and used their sons as the emotional hostages to impose their will on the ex via the young boys. The only healthy, happy love relationship the brothers, Jonas and Turner, ever experienced that was not manipulative was the love of their paternal grandparents. And even their relationship with their grandad was complicated when after his retirement, their inventor grandfather became a billionaire from his creation of lifesaving heart valves, revolutionizing heart surgery. And as a result, the grandsons and heirs of the clever grandfather had to learn to discern true friends from greedy sycophants while still teenagers.
Now, as adults in their 30s, the Mitchell brothers are still single after evading the romantic campaigns since their teens of hundreds of women. Younger brother Turner, desperately wants to believe in love and has recently declared his desire to wed the beautiful Simone Gatsby, a rising star in the Blanc Ballet. But, Simone is fearful of letting her relationship with the younger Mitchell brother become public. She has been told that to become one of the principal female dancers, she must remain unattached—the appearance of romantic involvement outside of her performance on the ballet stage will undercut the stage magic of her performance. And already challenged by the racial bias existing in the dance world, she is afraid to let her love and marriage to Turner Mitchell become public. They need a cover—a diversion.
So, Turner reaches out to older brother Jonas, and Simone turns to co-worker and friend, Nadine Evans, the ballet’s Associate Development Director and Events Coordinator to help the young lovers deceive the paparazzi and the powers at Ballet Blanc. Handsome older brother Jonas with his dark hair and blazing blue eyes and the curvy hazel-eyed and wavy-haired Nadine agree to serve as decoys. But, Jonas and Nadine are more than casual acquaintances. They share a tense history that goes back to high school days when sophomore Nadine crushed on senior Jonas who had invited her to be his date to the prom. When he stood her up, he broke her young heart and humiliated her, crushing her crush and gaining an enemy. But, Nadine is now under pressure from the director of the ballet, Desmond Jones—a bully who uses his position to intimidate. He wants Nadine to use her decades long “friendship” with the billionaire venture capitalist Jonas to secure a donation to the ballet and is using coercion to enforce his will—if she can secure the donation, she will be promoted to the Director of Development, and if she doesn’t…well there are other dance companies in New York.
Roxy Reid’s latest romance keeps her readers busy focusing on the Mitchell brothers and their love lives. But, the real focus is on the snarky older brother, Jonas, and his unwillingness or inability to believe in the reality of love and the decades old pull between himself and Nadine. Reid offers the reader a look inside the challenges of wealth and how money often prevents the sparks of love from igniting before they are put out by greed.

What do you get when you have an unreasonable boss, two best friends and two rich brothers? You get a story that will keep you on your toes to even imagine what any of them might get into next. Nadine Evans, Jonas, and Turner Mitchell all went to high school together, with the brothers becoming multiple -millionaires, when Jonas was seventeen, after the death of their grandfather. Nadine and Simone both work at Ballet Blanc, where Nadine was in charge of fundraising and Simone was a dancer. Nadine was out at lunch with her boss Desmond, when he demanded Nadine get Jonas Mitchell to donate at least a six figure amount within six months if she wanted the promotion that was available. She knew Jonas was a playboy and with their history this was not going to be good. Turner was the kind brother that she talked to all the time and with his help they got Jonas to the gala. There were various sections to the gala with one being a masked ball. Jonas was drawn to Nadine as they dance the dance of lovers. Shortly after that Turned and Simone found them in a hallway where they announced they were getting married, and the judge was waiting at the courthouse for them. They wanted both of them to come with them, but the marriage must remain a secret for Simone's career. The paparazzi had followed them leaving Jonas and Nadine to be the decoys out front as Turner and Simone entered through the back. The next morning the reports all started Jonas Mitchell had gotten married setting off an unbelievable chain of events for a man that thought he was not capable of love. Jonas and Nadine had an undeniable attraction for each other, which they both feel physically, but emotionally they are afraid to connect the dots and admit their feelings. You might want some tissues handy, as you read this gripping love story.

I love a cute romcom with a feisty, independent h and grumpy, boss H, and Roxy always delivers a great story that has a unique twist!
Jonas and Nadine went to high school together, and due to a bit of misunderstanding, had a falling out. Now, Jonas is a billionaire that co-runs a successful consulting firm with his brother, while Nadine is a program development and event director for an up-and-coming ballet company. Nadine gets backed into a corner by her stuffy boss and is forced to try to get a sizable donation from Jonas, who is known to be very stingy with donating his billions. A few paparazzi photos and tabloid stories later, and Nadine finds herself "married" to Jonas, too. Could this situation get any more complicated? Why yes, yes, it can! When Nadine discovers that the steamy friends with benefits relationship she agreed to with Jonas has resulted in a baby too, they have to figure out how to handle this new wrench in their carefully crafted scheme.
Roxy does a great job of taking a troupe or common storyline and putting a fresh twist on the situation to give uniquely funny and engaging book. The main characters were relatable, and the secondary characters fit in well. I especially loved Jonas's brother, Turner. However, Turner's secrets were a bit farfetched for me, and I wasn't a fan of how the high school situation was unresolved overall. Jonas ultimately never really explained why things happened the way they did, and so they never got a chance as adults to address why they had their initial falling out. I feel like that situation was integral to Nadine's distrust of Jonas. The steam was perfect: sweet, funny, and not too over the top or overwhelming for the length of the story. Altogther, this story was a quick funny escape that I'd enjoy again in a heartbeat!

This book is really amazing. There is so much I liked about it. It’ s about keeping or breaking promises, what low self-esteem can do to a person, how money can change people in different ways, how people change in general and you shouldn’t judge them based on their past actions. It’ s about sexism and racism in performance art world. And first of all it’s about love - for your family, for your partner and for yourself. The characters are adults who act and talk accordingy, who know exactly what they are doing and what they are saying. I liked that Nadine was such a strong woman who always could speak her mind even in very stressful situations. And Jonas was written in such way that you could absolutely fall in love with him. What I really loved about this book is that it’s not rushed. All characters are well developed, the dialogues and situations real and believeable. The author is really good with words. Sometimes with a few well chosen words they describe a lot in just one short sentence. There are some not too graphic but very intense steamy scenes and a lot of fun and witty banter. So grab a copy of this book and I’ m sure you’ll have a great time with these well-written pages :)

Nadine, 34, is the events coordinator for a ballet company and her boss promises her a promotion if she can get a donation from reluctant donor, Jonah, who she still harbors resentment for after a high school incident. Jonah turns her down but after a masked gala the paparazzi mistakenly believes they got married and they go along with it to protect Jonah’s brother and Nadine’s friend and Jonah will give a donation to the ballet company. Nadine and Jonah agree to a one night stand and it becomes more but Jonah leaves after he finds out Nadine is pregnant because of an issue with her birth control pills. Will Jonah rethink his stance on love and commitment or will Nadine become a single mom?
I enjoyed this story with a controlling, closed off man who is afraid of commitment and give it 4.5 stars. The author did a great job showing how Jonah’s uncaring parents had caused him to grow up closed off and afraid of love and commitment. Nadine worked hard for the ballet company but was looking for love for herself and her unborn child. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.

Nadine has a boss for a jerk and he pushes her to try to get donations from one of wealthiest men in town but when he tells her that he wants her to get Jonas Mitchell to donate she is thrown for a loop. When she refuses, he basically tells her either she goes to Jonas and gets him to donate or he won’t give her the promotion she deserves. Jonas and Nadine go way back to high school where he broke her heart and now, she has no use for him. Jonas has never felt he was capable of love. When he runs into Nadine after all the years that have passed, he is still taken with her looks, charm, and determination. After a night at a masquerade, they find themselves in a situation in which they are left to help people that are dear to them. This book is a must read. This author knows how to write a book that will quickly grab your attention and you won’t want to put it down. Wonderfully written with loads of laughs, drama, wonderful characters and some steam to boot. The storyline is great and will be well worth your time.

I read the synopsis for this book and thought I knew what to expect. I was completely wrong. I don't really like "you broke my heart in high school" romances because I usually don't care about what happened to these people in high school and because it is typically the whole basis of the plot. By the end of Chapter 1, I was dying to know what had happened (which thankfully they do not spend the entire book talking about) and what could possibly happen next. They sent sparks all over the restaurant they were in, and Nadine had me firmly in her corner. In Chapter 2, Jonas got me on his side. By Chapter 4, I knew this was a five-star book, and I was completely in love with them as a couple. I read hundreds of romance novels a year, and I can honestly say that there were twists in here that I have never read before. I was totally hooked, and I read it in one day. And Jonas's grand gesture made my mouth drop open in surprise. Then I started to cry. The whole book was beautiful, and I recommend it to anyone who loves a great story.
Jonas was Nadine’s high school crush but he hurt her deeply. When they run into each other years later at a restaurant, her boss insists that she uses her past association to get the now extremely wealthy Jonas, to give their ballet company a donation gift of 100k. In exchange she will finally get her well deserved promotion, but Jonas doesn’t cave. She ends up managing to get him to come to her charity night where they end up talking civilly, but then his brother and her best friend Simone announce that they’re getting married. Jonas and Nadine end up working as decoys so that no one realises that it’s actually Simone, an up and coming ballet dancer who’s dream career could be dead in the water, if the marriage were to be discovered. Nadine’s boss tried to revoke the promotion he had bribed her with until he comes face to face with Jonas. A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read throughout which Nadine and Jonas develop a genuine romance. Loved it.

Jonas had a childhood that left a mark on him, he didn't believe he was able to love. In reality, he didn't know what love was, what it's like to be in love, so when it happened to him he didn't realize it.
Nadine is a very career-orientated woman. She wants a promotion at work and even though she's already earned it her boss keeps adding expectations so it's impossible. Her latest hurdle is securing a donation from Jonas, a prospect she's not looking forward to.
These two couldn't be more different but somehow they fit. To help Jonas' brother and Nadine's best friend the pair fake being married even as their relationship deepens. There are bumps along the way, an unexpected baby, and the clueless nature of love.
In the end, it will leave you smiling. A great read while sitting in the shade on a sunny day.

The Miracle Of Forgiveness Breeds Love - Nadine had felt resentment against Jonas since high school, but she unfortunately had to put that aside for the benefit of her job. Jonas had closed himself off to relationships for years, as he didn’t trust anyone, other than his brother. Their initial relationship was contentious, but the more time they spent together allowed them to explore the sparks between them. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding and a secret will reek havoc and test the strength of their relationship.
This was a really exciting story to read, as it had everything you would want to see in a gripping storyline. The engaging banter, sizzling sexual encounters, subterfuge, wonderful characters and a life changing secret. The story was well written and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading.

One of my favorite tropes is a fake relationship and this one did not disappoint. I loved that Nadine and Jonas had a chance to build the foundation of a great connection before a surprise pregnancy was an issue. Low on the angst scale, this is the story of 2 grown-ups learning about compromise and each other. It has moments of such sweetness that I actually felt tummy flutters. But the spicy times......ooohhhhh baby! Keep a cold beverage close. The banter and physical sparks between Nadine and Jonas are totally believable and watching their growth as a couple (and as individuals) unfold is an absolute joy.
This author just keeps getting better, and this one goes on my re-read rotation. If you are looking for a low-drama, funny, spicy, HEA, this is it!

Nadine has been fighting for herself for much of her life. The industry she is in is rammed full of misogynistic men. She works her rear off for despicable people and gets nothing but put downs and unobtainable goals set for her. One such goal is Jonas Mitchell. She has to get him to invest where she works. By a quirk of fate she does know him from high school although that memory is not a fond one and is still friends with his brother. Jonas has been protecting his brother since they were 17 and he believes himself to be up to the task that is until his brother make a spontaneous decision which leaves him and Nadine to defuse. As a result the world thinks that he and Nadine are now married, so they try to keep the pretense going, Along the way Nadine knows she has fallen for Jonas. Thing is Jonas knows he cares for her but honestly doesn't believe he can fall in love with her. Nadine isn't willing to spend her life with someone who doesn't love her. What can Jonas do? To find that out you have to read this fabulous book, not really a hardship!!
Jonas promises to escort Nadine to her prom, only to break his promise by standing her up & taking another woman to this prom. Nadine now works in the Fundraising Dept for Ballet Blanc & her boss tells her to convince Jonas to donate money for their fundraising event & she gets that job promotion she has her sights on. This proves to be an uphill battle when she is persistent but when it doesn't work she changes tactics.
This novel is filled with promises & broken ones too! Emotional challenges & satisfaction guaranteed in a HEA. An excellent story to read, keeping you invested in the challenges Jonas & Nadine encounter along the way. This romance will capture your heart strings & leaving you happy you read this book.

This is such a heartwarming story. The characters are wonderful, their dialogue and playful banter are spunky and fun. When their heart breaks the reader can’t help but feel the pain with them. Jonas and his brother are rich business owners. Nadine is the girl from high school whose heart he broke years ago. Now their paths cross again in business and the sparks fly. When circumstances bring them into a temporary fake marriage, the chemistry is off the wall. Nadine is afraid to let her heart get involved because she knows this won’t last, and Jonas has told he that he won’t ever love her. But who can tell their heart what to do? I loved this storyline, start to finish!

This is a sweet romantic story about two people who knew each other in high school and almost were something. Jonas is hilarious, intelligent, sexy, and rich. He is the protector of his younger brother Turner and had to take on this role early plus being wealthy. He never allowed himself any leeway or forgiveness, he kept that for Turner and Sebastian. Nadine is a smart, clever, intelligent, and sexy young woman. She is carrying some resentment towards Jonás because of a Prom incident. Fast forward, Nadine is putting together a charity gala and her boss insists that she invites Jonas Mitchell and get a donation out of him. . . . Nadine cringes . . . . Read On!
Knocked Up Mistake: A Billionaire Accidental Marriage Romance by Roxy Reid is a fabulous story about two people with some unpleasant history. I simply could not put it down. I was lost to the world from the first page to the last page. Nadine and Jonas were loveable characters that I wanted to be together. I cried when they did, laughed with them and applauded them for their actions. Oh, how I wanted to tell them to communicate honestly with each other. It was a book I'll not forget. I highly recommend it to any one that loves a great story.

Enjoyable. Nadine, fund raiser for Ballet Blanc is keen for promotion and her boss issuesxan ultimatum for getting it...the secure a large donation from Jonas, investment entrepreneur who never gives to organisations where he is not guaranteed a return for his money. There is old history between them and a new future created by lying, claiming a fake marriage to protect his brother and his wife, who choose to keep theirs secret. Fake becomes real, an unexpected pregnancy and emotions add bumps in the way or HEA, especially as Jonas does not recognize or believe the extent of his feelings for Nadine.

I really enjoyed reading Knocked Up Mistake: A Billionaire Accidental Marriage Romance by Roxy Reid because it was such a great story about Nadine and Jonas. They had known each other in high school, but something happened and Nadine hated Jonas. Even after all these years, she still hated him. But she has to ask him for a donation in order to secure a promotion at work. Things get intense from there and they also get complicated. There was plenty of steam between them and there was a bit of drama going on as well. I would highly recommend reading this story.

Jonas and Nadine attended the same high school but did not hang out. Nadine did not like Jonas due to a misunderstanding in high school but was friends with his brother Turner. Simone was Nadines close friend and was in love with Turner. An impromptu marriage that needed to be kept a secret led to Jonas and Nadine providing cover. for his brother and her friend. Jonas and Nadine had great chemistry and since they were forced into the situation end up acting on it it unbeknownst to them get a surprise of their own. Can they both get past their stubbornness and see how they really feel?

Wow let the fire ignite! The fire sparked from go the moment Nadine and Jonas saw each other again. I loved everything about this story from the snarky banner, the tender sweet moments, the sexy sexy times and everything in between. I do so love a sexy grump whose a good guy on the inside. I did have issues with Tanner and Simone. They were a little selfish in there choices and I’m glad Nadine didn’t let them completely off the hook but all well that ends well. Read the book to find out why😉 Roxy writes such great stories with fantastic main and supporting characters. Until next time y’all happy reading.
I just loved this story between Nadine and Jonas. How they used to know one another, the power struggle between them and Nadines need for Jonas to make a huge donation to where she works so she can get the promotion that she should be getting anyway!! This book has some great laughs throughout it too, which had me laughing out loud. I loved the dynamic between Nadine and Jonas. I loved how the story naturally flowed. And I loved how it came to a natural conclusion. Everything you want it a really good read. You won’t regret this one for sure.

A second chance romance with fake marriage and surprise baby are a concoction for an amazing book. Jonas and Nadine end up faking marriage to protect their loved ones. But that's just the beginning of disaster. I loved getting to know Jonas when everyone thought he was a ruthless venture capitalist who didn't care a bit about anyone the truth makes you fall in love with him. It's fun to read them navigate through the fake marriage while maintaining their work and trying to deny their attraction. At some situations I was broken-hearted for Jonas when things go crazy. It's a must read😁.
Okay, so the first half was really good. I enjoyed reading the push and pull between Jonas & Nadine but I did not like how Nadine easily forgot that he abandoned her on prom. I guess it was talked about a few times but I expected Jonas to grovel which did not happen. Also, the last half was very messy. If only these two had properly communicated and Jonas wasn't a complete idiot, a lot of things could've been avoided. Nadine was right at her place but the way she always forgave him so easily was annoying. So while this book was somewhat enjoyable, if the last half was executed better, I would have liked the story even more.
I loved Jonas and Nadine's story . They were just so good together. They knew each other when they were younger but fell out. After being cornered by her boss Nadine ends up married to Jonas . But they will not be together for long. Find out what happens between them when there is an unexpected pregnancy thrown in to their plans. Great read from Roxy you won't be able to put this book down and you will fall in love Jonas and nadine .

Nadine and Jonas knew each other in high school where he was two years ahead of her, and she was friends with his brother. When Jonas asks her to the prom, she sais yes, only to be hurt when he changes his mind. Several years later she is roped into having to ask him for a donation to the ballet company she works for by her boss. From there the story turns a bit complicated involving having to help his brother and her friend who are a couple. From there things take off and not always in a good way.

I found myself laughing out loud while reading this story. Jonas and Nadine are classic rom-com with a ton of sexiness.
The plot around bringing them together was unique and not predictable. It takes the true love of friendship to fake a marriage to protect the privacy of another’s. Both Nadine and Jonas as lovable that way.
Their own trials, past and insecurities attribute to their love developing, not withholding its own mistakes, pains and heartbreak.

The love story of Jonas and Nadine is enjoyably sweet and also bittersweet at times. She doesn’t realize that when he rejected her in high school, he was doing it to protect her. Their fake marriage forces Jonas to realize that he is capable of love.I love the angst and heartfelt feelings between Jonas and Nadine. This story takes you on an emotional roller coaster and it is well worth the ride! I enjoyed it and recommend the book.

A definite must read, this has all the marks of a great book. Wonderful characters an interesting storyline, witty banter and steamy scenes. I loved how both Jonas and Nadine change over time to better versions of themselves with the care and support of each other, it happens so gradually they don’t even realize how much of an effect they have on one another. Thought the ending was beautiful as Jonas really stepped out of his comfort zone and made the play of his life.
