A lovely looking resource. Beautiful, detailed photos, thoughtful layout and clean design. A pleasure to look through.
There are some simple exercises spread throughout the book, but this is primarily a directory with "profiles of 200 crystals and their healing energies." Each profile has the usual associations - chakra, qualities, focus/use - but also has couple paragraph reflection evoking the essence of the stone.
I didn't understand the organization of the book at first. The crystals weren't organized alphabetically, or by color or chakra. It took me flipping through the book quite a few times, 🤔 asking myself how it was organized, to notice the very small font with "earth, water, fire, air" designation in the margins. I wish there had been an explanation of this organizational system in the intro, or heading pages for each category. It was confusing otherwise and didn't feel "user friendly". I also don't really like having to go to the index to find the stones I'm looking for. I'd prefer to flip through alphabetically or by color. As a plus though, you can look up qualities or associations in the index (love, meditation, paradigm shifts, grief, beauty, etc.).
Overall, this book was really lovely to look through but I probably wouldn't use it as a regular resource.
First rule of making a directory/reference type book.....organize it in a simple, easy to find things kind of way. Perhaps alphabetically? Just a thought.
Lovely to flip through and learn things about different crystals.
