Read about a luxurious, celeb-only island during a weekend of partying and ultimately murder.” —Reese Witherspoon (Reese’s Book Club March ’22 Pick) From the author of People Like Her comes a smart and sinister murder mystery set in the secretive world of exclusive celebrity clubs.
People Like "Beyond being a brilliant skewering of social media and influencer culture, People Like Her is, quite simply, a damn good thriller . . . With three unreliable narrators, the novel reads like Gone Girl on steroids in all the best ways.”— Bookreporter “Breathlessly fast, brilliantly original. Bravo, Ellery Lloyd!”—Clare Mackintosh, New York Times bestselling author of After the End From the New York Times bestselling author of The Club, a razor-sharp, wickedly smart suspense debut about an ambitious influencer mom whose soaring success threatens her marriage, her morals, and her family’s safety.

I read “The Club” and I didn’t get into it until I was 50% done with the book. I found it difficult to keep track of all the characters too. It was an okay read.
Loved how many different narrators there were. Every storyline had its own mystery, which made the plot still interesting after I would know the answer to one mystery.
I enjoyed meeting the many colourful characters in the book- there were very few I actually liked ( particularly Ned Groom and Jackson Crane) but most of them got their just desserts in the end. There were several twists that I hadn’t seen coming and these definitely held my interest, making this overall an enjoyable read.
the way in which I was so confused every time I found out who killed who really made this book an experience, but it did take FOREVER to get to that part
Murder and blackmail underwrite the opening of an exclusive club on an island off the coast of England. Many characters with secrets. Good character development. Fast moving story. Recommend.
