It was very flat even for a novella.

Dean and Olivia . . .
Dean is Silas’ best friend. The two of them were planning a summer beach trip when Dean told him he had invited his sister, Olivia! Silas tried to think of a way to back out of the trip, but this was senior year and everyone’s last time to be together before they go off to start their adult lives and new jobs. He had been crazy about Olivia but she was too young and definitely off-limits. But now, she’s 18. Should he speak up and tell her how he feels? Could she possibly feel the same? But is it the right time when his ex-girlfriend Sasha is also there and is watching him watch Olivia?

This was a really cute and sweet book. It had low angst, lots of love, a little steam and a virgin heroine who knows what she wants. Four stars!

I have to say that until 70% of the book, I still thought it had potential, but the clusterfuck that followed ruined everything.

What I liked:
Not a lot. I liked the idea, and I liked the cover, everything else was one huge mess.
What I didn't like:
I didn't like the writing; it sounded like it was written by a 15-year-old on Wattpad (and I know 15-year-olds who write better). Not enough descriptions and details. The flaw was missing. It is supposed to be a short, spicy novella, but the spice lacked as a whole. The steamy scenes were rushed, and awkward.
But the worst thing in this novella was the characters. They were toxic and selfish, and I wanted to strangle them. Their love is toxic, and I don't see them working out in a long term. The lack of communication and the amount of overreacting were unbearable, and I wanted to DNF the already short book.
Overall:
The book needs a lot more editing and describing, and it's totally not ready to be published.

Silas (21) fell for his best friends little sister Olivia when he was 18 and she was only 15 now she is 18
If he was pining over her for all these years why get a girlfriend. If you really loved her you would have waited for her in those 3 years and not get a girlfriend after you met her and maned up and told her brother the truth.
He wasn’t even the one that broke up with his girlfriend she did it because she wanted to be single for the last year of college, he even says how broken up he was about the break up and he didn’t see her as a soulmate but liked being with her and the fact they had the same friends like wtf!
She even came on this trip with them like why and his ex girlfriend knowing he likes Olivia but he just played like he didn’t like nah
Olivia is a Virgin and obviously Silas is not (god knows how many women he has had while saying he is in ‘love’)
He told her he would tell her brother about them two and just because her brothers crush admitted to liking the MMC he chickens out like a coward and then she is angry and uses another man to make him jealous and he doesn’t even explain just uses his ex to make Olivia jealous back like dude you fucked up

Silas has been in love with his best friends sister for years. Now she's eighteen she coming on vacation with us. He can only take so much with her in her bikini. He asks her to go for a walk and Olivia asks Silas to take her V card. Silas is more then happy to be with her since he loves her. When Silas gets back to the house her brother who's been pinning over another girl finds out that girl actually likes Silas and not him. Even though him and Olivia talked and Silas was gonna talk to him about his feelings for Olivia but after hearing this news he just can't tell him.

I thought this novella was steamy hot. Silas has been in love with Olivia for years, but the problem is that she is his best friend’s sister. However, their chemistry explodes and one thing leads to another. When an issues arises, things go crazy and these two will need to figure out how to resolve it. I found this story a fun and quick read.

This book is a very short (30 minute) read. It is a summer vacation story about Silas and Olivia. Silas is Olivia’s older brothers best friend. It has some hot and steamy scenes. It is an addictive read that I couldn’t put down. I enjoyed reading this book.

3.75 stars, I felt the conflict was way out of left field, but again a great book to keep me entertained and something I have been loving how fast moving these books are.
