When an American businessman winds up dead at a Jamaican tourist attraction, it looks like an accident. But when the man's wife and two young children also wind up missing, Marston and Holm are at the forefront of the investigation. As MBLIS investigates, all signs point to murder, kidnapping, and something far human trafficking. Worse, as Ethan's investigations intensify, he finds a link to a previous case, one that leads to the criminals he's tracking down to hunt him instead. It's a deadly game of cat and mouse, and Ethan isn't sure if he's the cat... or the mouse.
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
You really have to pay closer attention to this one, it seems like Matt is starting to weave his usual web earlier in the story then usual it least that seemed to me. But as I say in all my reviews of Matt's books you must start at book one as he always refers to things that happen in previous books. I don't think you'll be sorry and so many books in the series far I don't know if I will ever be waiting for the next book.
Human Trafficking. Humans are the scourge of the earth, in soooo many ways. The animal kingdom might be very wise to find some way to rid the world of its worst enemies.
Thanks. Have to admit I missed my bedtime a few ti.we while reading your book. Readers beware, as younger farther in it my feel like you're at the end and you get to go on a tailspin and get sucked in deeper as the story progresses.
Your book wasn't just good, it was fantastic. You can add all of our names to the kids at the Rolling Thunder. We all can't wait for the next story told. Keep up the great work, Matt.
