This book was on my radar for several weeks before released and I am THRILLED to say it lived up to my expectations! First off the cover of this is fantastic! Deliciously creepy and eye-catching. It’s one of my favorite covers this year, and may be of all time. The synopsis for the story caught my eye and completely intrigued me. The mystery of this book is so good, it it’s probably one of the best of the Love Inspired suspense books I’ve read, and I’ve read a significant chunk of them. The mystery pulled me in from the first pages, and I could not wait to see how it unfolded. The mystery is phenomenal. This one is going straight to my Keeper shelf!

Ho comprato questo libro quasi di impulso e non me ne sono pentita. È la solita storia ricca di suspense e anche l'aspetto romantico risulta credibile perché da ragazzi i due protagonisti avevano una cotta l'uno per l'altra, ma non lo avevano mai fatto capire, così quando si rivedono dopo anni ci sta che si innamorino quasi subito.
Sebbene non faccia dichiaratamente parte di una serie, ho scoperto che ci sono i libri anche sui tre fratelli di lui, anzi avevo già messo uno dei tre nella mia lista degli acquisti: inutile dire che li acquisterò tutti...

Good book with good characters.

Teacher Brynn Evans learned that.she was adopted when her mom was passing away. Her mind more than a little blown she travels to the adoption agency where her adoption took place many years ago. She meets with opposition in finding her birth parents and a threat to stay away and leave it alone.
She sets up a meeting with PI Avery Thorpe and as she is standing in front of his office she is attacked and Avery comes to rescue and protect her. This search for information leads to armed masked assistants threatening them and shooting at them. They have no clue what is going on but both believe finding her birth parents information is some how tied to fires and some old cold cases that Avery has been working on. Can they survive and discover the truth about her birth parents or will the cover up stay covered
I didn’t plan on reading Wyoming Cold Case Secrets in one sitting, but I couldn't put it down. It was intense but oh so good.
Sommer Smith wrote an amazing intriguing, suspenseful, easy to read book here.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Wyoming Cold Case. This is an amazing story. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you are going to love it.
Brynn Evans has just found out she was adopted as an infant after her mother's death. She finds the address of the adoption agency only to be told, "Some birth parents should not be found." She is told to leave and not come back. She turns to a man she once crushed over and is now a PI. She is on the phone talking to her friend when she realizes she is being followed. She pulls up to the PI's office when someone lungs at her. A man comes out of the office and chases after the man who had grabbed her.
PI Avery Thorpe saw a man terrorizing a woman right in front of his office. This man didn't know what he had just stepped into. Avery isn't going to stand by while some guy attacks a woman right in front of his eyes. He gives chase. The man circles back and shoots at Brynn. Avery leaps on him and they fight it out but the man from next door comes out yelling. The attacker runs to a car and they drive off. The woman turns out to be a girl from junior high. He must keep her safe and find out what is going on.
A terrifying journey to find out who her birth parents are and why someone is trying to stop her. God has a plan for these two broken souls. A plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, for peace and not for evil. Trust in the Lord and give Him your heart.

Action and intrigue on every page make for an unputdownable read.
I love cold cases and this one is a doozie! Plus there’s something extra compelling about an adopted child searching for her birth parents — particularly when it’s all cloaked in mystery!
Brynn and Avery have their work cut out for them…if they can stay alive long enough to figure it all out! Bwahahaha! And, bonus, this is a kinda, sorta second chance romance ’cause both our hero and heroine had crushes on each other in high school, only they didn’t know it! Oh, the foibles of teenage unrequited love!

This book was just meh for me. There was very little setup before page 80 something and the main character had been shot at twice and chased down the road. What? I just didn't really get into the book, and I thought it was fairly unbelievable. Also, I understand it's a Love Inspired book that has some religion in in, but the religious references and such seemed forced and often out of place.

There was a little too much action that it was just so far fetched. So wasn’t my favorite, but not horrible

3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 stars since I can’t specify 3.5 stars. Read via mass-market paperback.
I really enjoyed the main characters in this story. They’re very personable and the kind of people you’d want to have get-togethers and BBQs with. The mystery of Brynn’s adoption, the photographs, the key, and biological parentage was intriguing.
As a big fan of suspense, this next statement will sound odd: There was TOO much action for me. I felt like a person didn’t get to rest and glean more character information or enjoy the budding romance more. I enjoyed what we got but it would have been better if there were more opportunities to see the feelings develop. It seemed like they were shot at or grabbed every day. Action needs time to build to keep the anticipation and energy as well as time to learn more about the characters.
They stayed at a local B&B and these “know-all, see-all” bigwigs didn’t find them there? The bad guys had so many chances and never succeeded? Brynn wasn’t traumatized like any regular Jane who was assaulted and shot at multiple times would be? Avery is shot in the shoulder but seemed to have an amazing, super-human ability to do a lot of things despite that? Shoulder injuries are AWFUL. Things like that took away from a more fulfilling story of finding love with one another.
Again, there was a lot that I liked about the book. It was the over-emphasis on the action and some things that weren’t believable that lowered my rating to under a 4.
