This was one read that definitely kept me guessing! The story was exciting and fun, and I really liked the mystery elements in the book. Aggie and Bronson's second chance romance fit the story well and didn't move too fast, I actually liked the push backs they gave each other while the story was developing, and they were hunting her sister. Great read!
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

Mistaken Mountain Abduction is another winner by talented storyteller Shannon Redmon! The story centers around former Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot Aggie Newton and Detective Bronson Young who share a past and come together to track down a kidnapper and find out who is targeting Aggie and why. The exciting, fast-paced plot kept me turning pages to see what happened next. Impressive, detailed descriptions bring the story to life. I felt like I was experiencing the harrowing, stormy helicopter ride right alongside Aggie, Bronson, and Ray! Realistic, compelling characters advance the story. The sweet second chance romance unfolds slowly taking a back seat to the action. I could feel the attraction throughout the story which kept me rooting for Aggie and Bronson to reconcile their relationship. I appreciate the faith thread that is woven into the story with themes of God’s protection and care. I enjoyed this book, and I think fans of inspirational suspense will too! Aggie’s identical twin sister is kidnapped and no one knows why. Aggie immediately calls her ex fiancé for help, even though there are many unanswered questions about their relationship. Will they find Leslie? Will they come to terms with their past relationship? Are friends really friends? If you like edge of your seat suspense reading, this book is for you. Another great book by Shannon Redmon.
Mistaken Mountain Abduction is a powerhouse novel filled with action. The suspense kept me up late, turning the page. The hero and heroine were realistic, with a believable dilemma. Aggie Newton, former army lieutenant and helicopter pilot, becomes mortified when she discovers someone abducted her twin sister. What’s more eye-opening is the kidnappers took her while she was wearing Aggie’s coat. Someone had mistakenly taken the wrong twin. Who is after Aggie, and why? Aggie knows her ex-fiancé, Detective Bronson Young, is the best one to call. She could trust him to find her sister. Aggie willingly overlooks the past hurt between them to save her sister. Bronson drops everything to assist in the investigation. The attacks against them are relentless. Will they survive unscathed? They must find her sister alive, but will they reach her in time?
Aggie Newton is a former star helicopter pilot for the U.S. Army. After her ex-boyfriend’s brother was killed during a mission she was a part of a year prior, she hasn’t been the same, and decided military retirement and coming home was best. Home to her mom, twin sister, Leslie, and Leslie’s young daughter, Holly…a new start helping the family at their apple orchard and farm. Detective Bronson Young is Aggie’s ex, a man haunted by the death of his brother…a death chock full of unanswered questions. He’s also haunted by the breakup with the woman he still loves, but he can’t trust a woman who is keeping secrets, even if those secrets are bound by military protocol. The day Aggie arrives home, she, Leslie and Holly head right to their favorite town eatery. But suddenly Leslie is abducted right from the parking lot. But why? Aggie wastes no time calling 911, with her next call to Bronson. Can they work together to figure out why Leslie was taken and find her? Can the Lord remove the obstacles in each of their hearts and bring them back together? I loved this awesome suspense from Shannon Redmon, and you will, too! I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.
I received a copy of this book. Wow Fantastic book that was full of action and plot twists. Great Characters.... Highly recommend. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Mistaken Mountain Abduction is another great story by Shannon Redmon. Her books never disappoint. The story opens with action and it doesn't end. I love Bronson and Maggie's story. And how they work together to solve the kidnapping. The ending was a total surprise. Can't wait for Shannon's next book.
Full of great suspense and action that keeps you on the edge of your seat! Loved the romance between Aggie and Bronson. Highly recommended read for romance suspense fans!
This book will pull you in from the first page all the way to the last. Shannon weaves intrigue and suspense with a little bit of romance for a fast paced story. Aggie is forced to trust Bronson, who broke her heart, after her twin sister is kidnapped. He is the only one she trusts to find Leslie. In their search to find her, they must unravel the mystery of one of Aggie's missions from the military that still haunts her today. They quickly realize they are still very much in love but bringing Leslie home and making sure Aggie is safe must come first.
Mistaken Mountain Abduction by Shannon Redmon is a thrilling romantic suspense sure to keep you turning pages! Perfectly paced with twists to keep you on your toes, Aggie and Bronson's story is action-packed entertainment. I loved how this couple complimented each other in career skills, intelligence, and in their faith. They worked so well together, it was enjoyable to watch them work the case and to work through their past mistakes. I also enjoyed the military aspect of Aggie's background and reading about her in action as a helicopter pilot. What an interesting and lovable character! And Bronson is a swoon-worthy detective with a broken, but big heart.
Overall, I loved the thrill of solving the case with Bronson and Aggie. I believe Mistaken Mountain Abduction is a well-written, realistic suspense and worthy of a spot at the top of your TBR.
I was given a copy of the book by the author with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions are my own.
A mistaken identity incident with her sister sends Aggie into a tailspin trying to find her. With help from Bronson, an ex-boyfriend from her past, they try to work together to find her sister. A recently discharged Army Lieutenant, Aggie, uses her military training to figure out who is behind the abduction.
The storyline takes you on a roller-coaster ride of cat and mouse chases, survival, and imminent danger situations. The characters are well-developed with many layers and I related to them right away. Lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. A great read from the author and highly recommended.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and voluntarily choose to review it. All opinions are my own.
I love that this story starts out fast and just keeps going with lots of action and some romance. I love how Aggie and Bronson find each other again. I did not want to put this book down. I received a copy of this book from the publisher for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
This one clearly deserves five stars. Wow! I love a good suspense filled mystery with high octane action, and this book was definitely action filled.
Aggie Newton is a former army helicopter pilot who has retired from the military to come home and help on her mom’s farm. When Aggie’s twin sister, Leslie, is kidnapped in broad daylight, Aggie is determined to bring her home. Enter Detective Bronson Young as he is called to the scene of the kidnapping. Aggie and Bronson have a troubled romantic past. They have to put the past behind them in order to find Leslie.
As the mystery deepens, Aggie realizes she is probably the target and the kidnapper grabbed her sister by mistake.
I loved the fact that Aggie was a talented helicopter pilot. She was very strong willed and definitely not easily intimidated. I enjoy reading books with strong female characters. This book was filled with intrigue, explosive action and mysterious characters. Second chance romance with an inspirational message intertwined in the story made this book a pleasure to read. The hints and clues dropped throughout the story built the mystery well with plenty of suspects, and just the right amount of deception to make you think you had it solved.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Shannon Redmon does it again! This is her best work yet. Mistaken Mountain Abduction offers the perfect mix of action and romance with stellar character development! Well-developed military, law enforcement, and piloting details provide evidence of extensive research to deliver a high impact romantic suspense at its best. Get ready for a fun ride in a Black Hawk helicopter while navigating unexpected twists in the storyline that will keep you guessing till the end. Kudos for Shannon Redmon!
I am a big fan of books by Shannon Redmon. There are three things that really drew me to read this book. One is that it is about twins and mistaking one twin for the other. The second thing is that the book is set in North Carolina. And the final thing that drew me to wanting to read this novel is that the suspense and mystery of the plot start from the very beginning. There are several plot twists in this book. You are also reminded that not everyone is as they seem. I definitely recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

A suspenseful story with a romance sideline. At times it reads like an hour long TV drama with the retired Army helicopter pilot allowed along on police raids, etc. A pleasant read with a hokey story line.
Author Shannon Redmon, has mastered the Suspense genre. This book by far has exceeded all action packed, mystery and suspense all in one. They way she pens stories but doesn't stay away from God's message without overloading it makes her writing a remarkable one to enjoy and love.
In this story Aggie and Branson are put at a test and task of finding not only her twin sister but the truth of their relationship despite the detours and missions they are faced with. Aggie being a former army Black Hawk pilot and Branson a Detective, Author Shannon details each scene and action so perfectly that you can't stop reading until you finish. From page one to the last she will have you in a rollercoaster of action. And the way she works her characters, you'll be surprised with the ending.
If you are into suspense, action, mystery, romance and Inspirational message this is the author that you need to check out.
I received an ARC complimentary from the author. All stated here are my honest own comments.
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Mistaken Mountain Abduction. This is an amazing book. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you are going to love it.
Former Army Lieutenant Aggie Newton comes out of the store to hear her six-year-old niece screaming. "They took Mommy! Aunt Aggie, they took Mommy!" Aggie could see the van skid into the road. They had kidnapped her twin sister. She was wearing Aggie's coat, did they think Leslie is her? She called 911 but then called her ex. He is dependable. He will find her.
Detective Bronson Young is one of Mill Creek's decorated officers. He is surprised to hear from his ex. He had ended their relationship after his brother's death. He couldn't handle the woman he loved being in constant danger. He couldn't ask her to give up her military career.
A terrifying journey to find Leslie and the answers to the secrets that plagued them. God has a plan for these two, a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Trust Him! Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
While at her favorite restaurant, Former Army helicopter pilot Aggie Newton's twin is mistakenly taken for her and abducted. Not sure what to do, she calls her ex Detective Bryson Young to help her get her sister back. Aggie & Bryson work together trying to figure out why Aggie and where "they" have taken her sister Leslie. As the pursuits turn deadly, they know they must act fast and figure this out before it's too late. I really did enjoy this book from the first page. It starts off fast and doesn't stop until the end. It seemed like every time they figured things out then you find out they had it figured wrong. There were a lot of twists and turns to this one and it kept you guessing the whodunit until the end. Though it did not have an epilogue, I did love the ending and was left feeling satisfied. It took me only a day to read this. You won't want to stop until you figure it out. I was given a copy of this book, but all opinions are my very own.
Love the unique twists, Redmon brings to this Love Inspired Suspense…starting with Aggie being an Army helicopter pilot! She’s capable, no nonsense and determined. Every inch the soldier, even though she’s a civilian now. A nice change from the military alpha male lead (though I do love them as well!!!) Also love the twist in Aggie and Bronson’s former romance — again, a departure from the norm, so that was fun too. (I don’t want to say anything else for fear of spoilers, but when you meet this pair and read their story you’ll understand what I mean.)
Equal parts investigation and action and no end of danger (including some awesome flight scenes) made this a high-octane page-turner. All wrapped around the promise of a second chance love story. I’m one happy reader!
