Rocket Man: Master of the Universe vol. 2

Rate this book
Kim and Dennis are two best friends, one a dictator with a missile habit, the other a basketball legend. Their egos are too big for an ordinary planet, so it’s to infinity and beyond for them when the earth waves them a less-than-fond farewell.

Conquering worlds and racking up some big BBQs are on the menu, as are giant insect civilizations, frog gladiators, and the most dangerous minotaur this side of ancient Greece. All served with a side of magic mushrooms to blow their minds.

**Should Read as 3.5 Stars**

This fantasy novel is the 2nd volume of the Rocket Man, a parody featuring the North Korean Leader, Kim Jong-un and his friend the US ex-basketball player, Dennis Rodman.

Now in space within the "Imperial Eagle" they are looking for places to conquer, and when they find some they will encounter some funny and exciting situations in part 1 with the Burabura, in part 2 When In Rome and fighting in the Coliseum, and in part 3 with his Friend For Life they will encounter certain former friends and enemies.

These three short stories are fast-paced and easy to read, with our two friends in full action to achieve the impossible but still in their own simple minds they will succeed to remain friends in good and bad times.

Recommended to anyone who likes a fantasy tale with a funny twist, plenty of humour and action, and to give this book a header I've been thinking to call it: "Another Hilarious Episode"!

Becoming more accustomed to this style of writing (liking it a lot…it’s really cool!)

The 2nd instalment in the Rocket Man series featuring 3 connected tales.

Just as whoppingly fantabulous as the first one.

And still freaking funny.

The story continues with the egocentric North-Korean leader and his bosom pal ex-basketball player Dennis Rodman.

Aboard the Imperial Eagle. Leaving Earth behind.

Scanning for the perfect planet to conquer.

The Galactic-exploring space travellers hurtle through the solar system.

Come upon a desert planet.

Encounter peculiar bug-like beasties.

Battle creatures in the colosseum.

And live to see another day.

Unfortunately Obuma makes another appearance in this here send-up but never mind that, I had the funnest time with the other nincompoops. 😂

Love the authors sense of humour and what an imagination!

Many thanks to the author, Yoel Bereket, for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This second volume is a collection of three pretty funny stories about the planets Kim Jong Un and Dennis Rodman discover and "conquer."

Comical and imaginative. It really could be made into a cartoon or comic book.

This is the second book I’m the Rocket Man series. I absolutely loved the first book. The second book in the series, although not a great as the first boo, was a fun book to,read. I really enjoyed Dennis Rodman, AKA Worm, work with Kim Jun-Un, AMA Rocket Man. I really enjoyed the banter between the two characters. They argued like grown children. But that just added to the charm of this book This book featured different sections of the book after Rocket Man and Worm ascended into space. I found this book funny and fun to read.

Ive read the book 1 which was super funny and smart. Overall still funny and great sense of humour.

I wrote the previous book 1 was like reading an episode from The Simpsons and this is another story like this but it is even more so and becoming like a real cartoon - a planet, monster and characters seemed to become a little less significant.
I prefer the book 1 better to this maybe I’m not the best audience.

This is a more straight forward action story from this author. Usually the author is more satirical. This time the humor is slapstick and in snappy dialogue. There is satire in section 2. The friendship battle in part 3 is funny and wild.
A change from this author but a solid story and humor.
