I am a firm believer in routines. That’s why I’ve written to Austin Pines every day for two years. It’s the least I can do for the man locked up for saving my life.
Nothing’s ever been the same since the night we met. His smoldering gaze lit a fire deep inside me.
Sometimes, I still feel his midnight eyes watching me, keeping me safe. Austin isn’t just the man who saved my life, he’s my very own guardian angel.
Now he’s back, and my careful routines aren’t all that’s about to be ruined.
Because the men Austin saved me from are also back, and they’re out for revenge. But I’m not scared of them.
I’m terrified of Austin.
The connection between us is the most dangerous thing in world.
So why can’t I let it go?
Summer is humid, but Austin is even steamier! Ruthless Convict is a steamy standalone instalove with a guaranteed HEA. One anxious perfectionist, the man who would do anything to save her, and a cat with attitude. This growly alpha and the curvy woman he’s been dreaming about will set your kindle on fire!
Regina Wade specializes in sizzling-hot happily-ever-afters. Her sweet and spicy quickies are packed with OTT alpha males and fun, feisty heroines. Regina is obsessed with dark chocolate, organic coffee, and her rescue hamster, Waffles
I really enjoyed this novella by Regina Wade. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite instalove authors! In this book we have Ruthie and Austin. Two years ago, Austin saved Ruthie from a dangerous situation and was consequently sentenced to jail.
During the time of his imprisonment, he and Ruthie develop somewhat of a friendship through the letters she sends him. When he is released early, he knows the bad guys will go after his Ruthie. So he immediately goes to her... and sparks ignite ;)
"Saving you? That was the best decision I ever made. I would do it all again in a heartbeat."
Their story is so sweet. I recommend it. Four stars!!

Two years ago, Ruth’s life changed forever, what was meant to be a fun night of birthday celebration turned into a real-life nightmare when she stepped out for some fresh air and was attacked. The only bright part of that night was Austin, the man who saved her from a fate she didn’t want to consider but in the process of saving her, he had lost his life for two years when her assailant ended up dead and Austin ended up in prison. That was two years ago and since that night Ruth has found a way of handling the aftereffects of the trauma by making her life a full routine and never straying from and writing endless letters to the man who saved her but never sending them. So, when she finds Austin is out of prison and now the maintenance man for her complex how will she react? Is it possible for here to move on with the man she loves or will her world and heart crumble once again?
Austin knew the night that he met Ruth that she was the only thing in the world worth dying for, so when he discovered her being dragged into an alley, he did what he needed to in order to save her from a dark fate. That night cost him two years of his life and the death of a member of the mob. Being in prison the only thing that has kept him going was the letters he would receive from Ruth and knowing he had friends keeping watch over her. But when he gets out, he heads towards the only future he wants one with Ruth. Can he and Ruth find a life together or will the past return to haunt them both?
Fab read that has you gripped from the start to the end. Ruth is unbelievably sweet and has found her person in Austin, but danger and darkness hasn’t finished with them just yet. Highly recommended 4.3 read.
Two years ago Ruth and her friends had gone to a busy nightclub. When the noise, heat and people got to be too much for Ruth she stepped outside for fresh air. A drunk and aggressive man grabbed her and started dragging her away. No one helped her until a man walking his dog pulled her free and saved her. The two men got into a fight and the drunk pulled a knife. Austin forced him to dropit and a little while later the drunk fell on it and died. The police came and arrested Austin. They wouldn't believe Ruth when she said he was her hero. Austin was sent to jail for five years. Now Ruth is trying to put her life together. She writes Austin daily even if she doesn't mail all of them. She lives her life on a strict schedule to hopefully get some control back but she still has to deal with the fear. Then one day she comes back to her apartment and sees a strange man there. She is about to panic when she realizes that it is Austin. He tells her he will always keep her safe.
Austin's life was messed up when he helped Ruth but he doesn't regret it. Just one look at her and he knows that she is meant to be his. Her letters while he was in prison made things bearable. Her efforts to see justice done got him released after 2 years. He is going to get as close to Ruth as possible because not only is he possessive of her, but he is afraid that people will come after her for the death of the drunk man who came from a powerful family. He will do whatever it takes to keeps Ruth safe.

Another fantastic stalker romance from Regina Wade and this one comes with a bit of a twist. Austin and Ruth meet when he saves her and it’s costs him jail time. When he comes back he will stalk her if it means continuing to keep her safe. Luckily she has him because the danger to her life is far from over! I also can’t forget to mention the extremely hot and steamy scenes in this book. This author always finds a way to make her scenes new and thrilling while still giving her readers all the feels we are lookin for!
I loved Austin’s character! His personality and his possessiveness were written so spectacularly! My favorite line: “I don’t know who I am without you” caused major swooning. His life mission becomes fulfilling every dream, wish, and fantasy that Ruth has and he will do whatever it takes to make it happen. I really liked Ruth as well. She was such an interesting character with severe anxiety and paranoia. I also really liked that although her anxiety got better in the safety of Austin’s arms, it didn’t go away completely. I felt like that was a more realistic representation of people living with anxiety. You can’t expect it to be instantly gone because of love so I liked the approach that this book took.

Austin has been in prison for over 2 yrs. and he is getting out early for good behavior. His crime was coming to the aid of a woman who needed his protection and help. He did not know Ruth before this incident. But he knows he must protect Ruth and keep her safe. Ruth on the other hand has felt responsible for Austin being sent to prison. She feels the need to apologize for getting him involved in her situation. Austin thought of her every day. Ruth has written to Austin every day. She has bared her soul to him. Will these two be able to heal and move forward? Will they be able to see that they love each other? This story is filled with drama, conflict, passion, romance and love. Love can heal. I enjoyed the characters they were as different as night and day. Ruth seemed so beaten down, but yet she had a routine, lists to help her stay focused and a job and she tried to keep on track, trying to conquer this demon. Austin on the other hand was big, tough, strong, determined and he wanted to help Ruth. Ruth was important to him. An unexpected encounter may change the course of your life. It’s a great read!.

When Ruth is out with friends the crowd gets to be too much and she goes outside for some air. An aggressive man starts attacking her and no one comes to her rescue until she sees a man walking his dog. Austin knew he had to help her however, neither of them expected it to end like it did. The bad man fell on his own knife, but Austin was accused of killing him and went to jail. Ruth couldn't get anyone to listen to her about what happened. She writes to Austin while he is in prison hoping he'll somehow get out. Then one day when her panic attacks have her not going into work, she finds Austin in her apartment. He is the new maintenance man. Is he back in her life for a reason? Can they be together after how they met?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Short story with Ruthie being assaulted and Austin running to help her. Her assailant ends up falling on his knife and the cops grab Austin and put him in prison for the next two years. Ruthie was so upset that she couldn't convince the Judge that Austin was innocent. Austin takes a job as a maintenance manager at her apartment. They are both overjoyed at seeing each other and Ruthie finds that Austin has not change from being in prison. Austin fell for Ruthie the night that he saved her. Ruthie has loved Austin as well. He knows that there is danger going after Ruthie and he is there to make sure she stays safe. This is a fast story with some danger and plenty of passion and love. Loved the characters. Amazing story.

"Saving you? That was the best decision I ever made. I would do it all again in a heartbeat."
Fantastic book! I really loved how Regina Wade was able to weave another great story. This time the story is about Ruth & Austin. Two years ago Austin went to jail because of me & I write him letters everyday as it's the least I can do after he's jailed for saving my life. Austin gets early release & heads to Ruth as he knows to protect her from the people that the attacker was associated with. The intense chemistry is there from their first meeting & you know when they combust it will be intense with all the spice. The reader gets to watch a beautiful relationship develop. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Ruthless Convict is a great, quick, insta-love read. Our Hero went to prison for defending the Heroine from some really bad guys and saves her life. Once he's out of prison, he's coming to claim his woman. The book does touch on the heroine's struggle with what is undoubtedly PTSD from the attack and how she's learned to cope with it, but it's not the main focus. I really enjoyed this story of these two finding love out of terrible circumstances. There's plenty of sweet, happy times, as well as super sexy (explicit) times. You don't want to miss one!.

Short, steamy with some action and suspense. At just 61 pages this could be read on your break with time left over. Ruthie is Austin’s prison pen pal after he goes away for two years for killing to defend her. I thought this would have more “ruthless” since the blurb was a bit on the darker side but Austin was pretty much a cinnamon roll for Ruthie. I enjoyed her character quite a bit- she had obvious trauma but didn’t let her issues and fears define her. The novella had some suspense but could have used more action for me, in all though it was a fun and quick read.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Austin and Ruth have a fast paced story with plenty of tragedy, determination, courage, instant attraction, friendship and love. He saves her and pays a hefty price but that doesn't stop the love from growing between them. They have some obstacles but a future together is born from that night of violence. It was a good, short love story.

This is a relatively new to me author. I like the writing style and characters. Ruth is attacked one night and Austin steps in to save her. He gets jail time for it but released early. He took one look and knew she was it for him. She wrote to him all the time but only sent a select few letters. When he is released early, he gets a job at her apartment complex to watch her. I think this one took a bit to get into but overall I liked the story a lot.

In this book we meet Ruth & Austin. One night while out on the town Ruth is dragged towards an alley. Austin is out that night sees it and stops it. The problem with this is Austin gets sent to jail. Now Ruth has panic attacks and the only person who can stop them she believes is still in jail. Can these two find a HEA or will there be others who will kill to make sure that never happens?
I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I really loved this book! The heroine is damaged by something that happened. And although I think her age was a tad too young to already be a teacher, I loved everything else. I loved that I didn’t have to wait for them to reconnect. I loved that she was damaged, and it didn’t just magically go away when Austin returned. Even at the end, it says that it’s better but not perfect. I did think the climax was resolved a tad too easily, but it’s a romance book not a true crime so I can get over it!
Ruth is a kindergarten teacher. She suffers from anxiety after she was attacked and rescued by Austin. Austin was walking his dog when he stumbled upon Ruth being attacked. The attacker fell on his own knife and Austin was sent to jail. Two years later Austin is released, he is back to protect Ruth. I love how protective Austin is of Ruth, he immediately calms her. These two were obsessing over each other the entire time they were apart. One chance encounter changes everything for them. Enjoyable quick read with a little spice thrown in.
Austin (H) prevented Ruth (h) from being assaulted and ended up in prison despite her pleas to the contrary. Ruth's letters had gotten Austin through his imprisonment and now that he's been released from prison and knows that he'll have to continue protecting her from those would now do her harm. Ruth and Austin get to know one another, and things get hot and steamy very quickly. Fun OMYM romantic quickie with a side of sexy action!
Tender obsession It's a good short romance with a bond created during a traumatic event for Ruth who was attacked and saved by Austin who was then accused when he was the person who saved her. He's out from jail, but he knows he will have to protect her. The story is tender and it remains essentially cute, a little hot, despite the threats. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Two years have gone by and there was not a night that Ruth did not think of the man that saved her life. For Austin, there was not night he did not dream of Ruth while behind bar, now that he was out there wasn't anything he would not do to protect her.
Ruthless Convict is hot and steamy story with a twist of danger that pulls you in as Austin and Ruth explore their feeling and he keeps her safe.

Ruthless Convict is an interesting story about two complete strangers whose lives were changed forever when he accidentally kills a member of the mob while saving Ruth. He went to prison and thought about her every night. Now that he's back he's determined to keep her safe. This is a quick read, with intriguing characters, and an insta love story filled with danger, characters with intense chemistry, steam, and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Ruthless Convict: is the second book in the Savage Stalkers series and it is a fast-paced short story about Ruthie and Austin. I think for me I was expecting a different story than what this one ended up being and it was not my favorite by the author. I liked the characters and thought the story-line was a good premise but I just did not connect with it as I would have liked. In the end it was a good story that I know other readers will love.
The author has given us a fast paced, older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Austin and Ruth and does not let go. When Austin is released from jail, he heads straight to Ruth, the cause of his conviction.

I love books where the heroine overcomes her fear. Ruth learning to cope with her anxiety was so well written. I really appreciate the effort that he author took to write how to deal with a panic attack. I enjoyed Ruth and Austin together and liked how they brought out the best in each other.

Intense feelings on this short novella from both of the main characters. They form a unique bond one night, riddled with a tragic event, only to be reunited two years later. Good storyline loved the connection and the patience of Austin, and being there for Ruthie in everything that she needs.

Ruth was ambushed one night and Austin went to help and save her.... Unfortunately the man died and Austin had to go to prison. They met that night and their whole life changed. They both crushed on each other and now that Austin is out of prison they finally get their chance at a HEA🥰🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet, steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and a bit of action too😍😍😍😍😍
