This is a Sweet Clean Romance. I really love the characters in this book, but my favorite is that little boy. This book touched my heart, and I really loved every second of reading this book. I loved the setting in this book. I did not want to put this book down when I was reading it. The ending was sweet and everything this book needed. Winning His Trust is a cute contemporary romance that had me falling in love with these characters.
Jordan has gotten her degree in business but her brother won't let her help elevate the family business to make it better. So she sets out to prove that she can help the business, by helping out someone else's business...namely Declan. Declan is a single dad with a struggling business, when he asks Jordan if he can sell some of his adventure guide products. But he doesn't expect her to offer way more and get into his business, literally.
Even though they both have their past struggles with relationships they need to learn to trust God's plans and that He has their best interests in mind, and what the Lord has for them are the best plans ever.
I really liked the setting and the storyline of a sweet hometown feel. Declan's son just stole the show, with his adorable cuteness throughout the book. And the great outdoors being one of the main backdrops of the story, made me want to enjoy hiking more than I do. 😄

While technically Winning His Trust is the second book set in Willow Springs, Arkansas and follows another sibling from the Wood family, readers can absolutely pick this one up and read it as a stand alone novel if desired. The Wood family siblings were introduced in Her Christmas Redemption, which told Michael’s story. This book is Jordan’s tale.
I loved the way these two main characters interacted with each other. Both had situations in their pasts that made them hesitant to build up anything more than either a business relationship or possibly a friendship together. However, their hearts were harder to convince!
The way Jordan and Declan grew closer, as well as the precious interactions involving Declan’s son, River, were very natural and made me feel invested in wanting them to find their way to a happily ever after together.
Declan had some things to resolve and move on from in relation to his ex-wife and I thought the author handled that troublesome situation very well. Just the right amount of angst, without it overwhelming the main storyline.
I enjoyed this book so much and loved the epilogue!

Winning His Trust tackles some difficult situations. A woman returns home after betrayal of her roommates and ex-boyfriend. A man whose life is kind of a mess and he's working on it, but his trust has been shattered, and he's raising a son as a single father. I liked the development of the characters through the story and the lessons they learned and how they relied on God through difficult circumstances. This is a sweet romance that I enjoyed!

I greatly enjoyed Toni Shiloh’s Love Inspired romance, Winning His Trust. Single father Declan Porter needs to learn to trust again, and Jordan Wood just needs someone to trust her. What starts as a business arrangement turns into much more in this delightful story set in Willow Springs, Arkansas. I loved the main characters and the development of their relationship. It was realistic and appropriately paced, but oh so sweet. The addition of Declan’s cute son, River, is a plus. I enjoy a child character who is written in a true to life way and Shiloh does this with River.
Shiloh has packed a lot of story into a small number of pages, one that can be read quickly, but then enjoyed over again. I definitely recommend this one!!

Welcome back to Willow Springs, Arkansas. Toni Shiloh’s new book, Winning His Trust, is about Woods sibling #2 Jordan Woods. Jordan has moved home to Willow Springs after working in a boutique in Fayetteville. She’s helping older brother Mike run their general store. Jordan has lots of ideas on how to improve the store, but big brother is batting them down all day. One day, Declan Porter enters the store and asked if he can start to sell some hiking gear etc for Porter’s Outdoor Adventures. Jordan sees he is struggling to make his business work and offers to help him. Will these two be able to handle working together? They have both sworn off love and have a lot of trust issues. Will these two see what everyone around them sees?
First off, I’m so happy to be back in Willow Springs. I fell in love with this small town in Her Christmas Redemption. Still in love with it after reading book #2. It’s the perfect backdrop for this story. I really enjoyed reading about Jordan and Declan. Those two were very damaged by their exes. They had a lot of healing to do. Yay! Another story in the town of Willow Springs. It’s a wonderful community on the edge of God’s beautiful nature. We get to read more about the Wood family and all their dynamics.
Jordan Wood just wants to be seen as a vital member of her family, who has worth and can contribute. Someone with purpose and knowledge and not looked upon as the weak link.
Delcan Porter just wants to be able to provide a good living for himself and his son, after so many hurts and pains from his past. Can these two help each other out, or will their pasts create a wall between them? Can they each learn to trust?
This is a beautifully touching story with rich word pictures and wonderful tender moments of caring.
I loved this book. I was captured from the first page to the last.
Toni Shiloh has a wonderful way of conveying the feelings of each of the characters in this book. She brings these characters to life in a vivid and real way. I truly enjoy reading this author’s books. She has such a skill in making each book speak to our hearts. She also weaves beautiful messages of God’s love in each of her stories.
This book really was a joy to read.

Winning His Trust is great! Let's start there. Here's what you need/want to know: This book has the same family as Her Christmas Redemption (the Woods family) which is great because I enjoyed that family; they are a fun group! But - you can read Wiinning His Trust as a stand alone and you will still love it! Jordan is much deeper than I thought from HCR and I enjoyed getting to know her character. Declan is a nice partner for her and I just love River! When I can identify with the characters in a book and envision them in real life that's a sign that the book is resonating with me. River reminded me of one of my grandsons. I can see myself in Willow Springs and I would totally want to know the Wood family and interact with them. I love the settings in this book, Toni brings it to life and you can easily imagine the natural woods and fishing sites, not to mention the general store and Declan's house. This book is a clean, sweet romance that I highly recommend. It will keep you entertained.

Have you ever made a decision you thought was a no-brainer, but then comes the future as well as your regret? Well, such is the story of Jordan and Declan told by the author, Toni Shiloh, in this Uplifting Inspirational Romance, Winning His Trust.
Jordan Wood is escaping from her past mistakes and is eager to prove she is more than the fickle girl her family thought her to be. Declan Porter is a man who has two priorities in life. Number One: Take care of his son, River. Number Two: Drag his struggling adventure business out of the dirt. Oh, let’s not forget…don’t fall in love with Jordan Wood. So, maybe it’s two and a half goals.
Each character holds realistic qualities, and Toni showcases their issues, flaws, and affable personalities with ease. From Declan’s son to Jordan’s oldest brother, the characters – no matter big or small – are well-developed. I found each character to be believable and their strive to over their past relatable. The dialogue between Declan and Jordan isn’t overtly cheesy (perhaps toward the end you’ll find a few gouda-laced phrases here or there but nothing you wouldn’t expect to see in a Christian Fiction Romance). Their banter and Declan’s attempt to be as witty as Jordan are humorous, giving room for a few chuckles. Jordan and Declan have a way of speaking with one another that says, “Yes, we are just simple people trying to live our lives and maybe find a little joy in it on the way.”
The theme of being more than your past mistakes unfolds well as the story goes along, and I enjoyed experiencing Jordan’s and Declan’s growth from chapter one to the end. Whether it’s CFR or Contemporary Romance, I tend to avoid romance books where one of the couples has children or a child. However, Toni does an excellent job of bringing in Declan’s child without detracting from the couple’s love story. Also, River isn’t a random addition or a child dump. Declan’s son has a vital part to play in the story and his father’s growth and has an adorable personality that’ll have you smiling and wanting to pinch his cheeks–that is, if you enjoy subjecting children to such things (and I know you do 🙂).
As a whole, Winning His Trust is a sweet romance story that gives its readers, not only a heartwarming love story, but a few laughs along the way and a beautiful reminder that we are more than our mistakes.

Jordan sees an opportunity to put her new (and still kept secret) business degree to use and decides to help Declan turn his business around.
But as they spend more time together, can Jordan, or rather the Lord, turn Declan’s heart around, too. He’s closed it off since his ex not only abandoned him, but also their son, four years previous. The Lord has got His work cut out for him with Jordan’s heart, too, burned badly by that breakup. But of course NOTHING is impossible with God!

This is connected to the author’s previous release, Her Christmas Redemption, but this can definitely be a standalone read. I do have that book on my TBR list.
Despite having the other book on my TBR, this is the first book I’ve read by the author, and I have to say she is definitely among my Love Inspired “to read” authors (which is a growing list).
The adorable cover drew me right in! Seriously, how cute is Declan’s little boy, River?
Shiloh gives us a wonderful cast of characters:

Along with Declan’s ex-wife (Mekayla) and Jordan’s siblings.
Right off, Shiloh shows us the Wood family dynamic. Jordan hasn’t told her brother about getting her degree, and he’s reluctant to let her make changes. She also feels like a failure – in business and in her love life.
Then, a former high school classmate enters the scene – Declan Porter and his son River.
Immediately, River takes to Jordan. And, she takes to the little boy as well.
Declan is there to ask Mike about using the store to sell some items. He’s also trying to prove to the bank his business is successful as his ex-wife and River’s mom, Mekayla, wants a “loan” repaid and the bank has turned him down. It isn’t long until Jordan sees a chance to show off her skills by helping Delcan’s business. And, it is clear Declan needs some help to become competitive in his outdoor venture.
Mike agrees to Declan’s business proposal, and Declan agrees to Jordan helping him with his business and website. Jordan has her work cut out for her. Declan is a pretty hopeless dude when it comes to website designs, logos, “tour packages”, though Jordan is definitely a saving grace there.
And, it isn’t long until he discovers Jordan is good outdoors as well.
And, it isn’t long until the two start discovering they’re good together.
But, Declan’s focus is on his son and on his business.
He also has another problem when his ex-wife, Mekayla, wants to see River after abandoning him four (4) years before.
Declan and Jordan both have hurdles to overcome before they can come together and be a family. Though, adding in the matchmaker River is – that isn’t going to be a problem in this sweet book.
A book that, had I not had some stuff come up, would easily be a day read.
The pacing didn’t lag at all, and the shortish chapters kept me reading and reading when I had the time.
I will say this – don’t read this if you’re hungry! Shiloh included a few dishes that are my favorite, so now I’m craving them – chicken fried steak. In addition – fried fish (I like beer-battered fish), fries, and coleslaw. I almost drooled on the pages!
The storyline was definitely unique in the aspect of business. Despite Jordan’s degree in business and merchandising, she definitely knew how to talk to Declan and make her suggestions so that he could understand the correlation and effect they’d have. Jordan definitely had a keen mind and reminds me of those who work in NASCAR when it comes to merchandising. I absolutely loved the idea of questioning making “changes” – change simply to change or change for the better?
Having her and Mike talk about the store also highlighted another aspect of grief and how even a little change can feel like the erasure of a loved one. I deeply loved Jordan’s family and their closeness.
As far as Mekayla and River – that was a spot where I really felt so sorry for Declan. I wondered what the woman’s motivation really was considering why she didn’t take the kid the first time she left. I also wondered why Declan didn’t move to terminate her parental rights instead. Slight spoiler – it is clear she wasn’t cut out to be a mother, and I fear for the baby she’s carrying.
There is a part when Declan texts Mekayla and her current husband answers, highlighting a horrible truth about focusing on new family rather than blending. My own male bio-parent ditched me to focus on his six step-children, so my heart truly broke for River. It was great that he was mature enough to know his father loved him and was comforted by that.
Fans of the author and genre are sure to love this read. I am looking forward to seeing if Shiloh returns to this “series” as I felt there was no “final” resolution to Mekayla’s storyline (I have a feeling she’s up to no good).
As this is from the Christian line of Harlequin’s books, there will definitely be strong themes of faith in it.

The pacing didn’t lag at all, and the shortish chapters kept me reading and reading when I had the time.
I will say this – don’t read this if you’re hungry! Shiloh included a few dishes that are my favorite, so now I’m craving them – chicken fried steak. In addition – fried fish (I like beer-battered fish), fries, and coleslaw. I almost drooled on the pages!
The storyline was definitely unique in the aspect of business. Despite Jordan’s degree in business and merchandising, she definitely knew how to talk to Declan and make her suggestions so that he could understand the correlation and effect they’d have. Jordan definitely had a keen mind and reminds me of those who work in NASCAR when it comes to merchandising. I absolutely loved the idea of questioning making “changes” – change simply to change or change for the better?
Having her and Mike talk about the store also highlighted another aspect of grief and how even a little change can feel like the erasure of a loved one. I deeply loved Jordan’s family and their closeness.
As far as Mekayla and River – that was a spot where I really felt so sorry for Declan. I wondered what the woman’s motivation really was considering why she didn’t take the kid the first time she left. I also wondered why Declan didn’t move to terminate her parental rights instead. Slight spoiler – it is clear she wasn’t cut out to be a mother, and I fear for the baby she’s carrying.
There is a part when Declan texts Mekayla and her current husband answers, highlighting a horrible truth about focusing on new family rather than blending. My own male bio-parent ditched me to focus on his six step-children, so my heart truly broke for River. It was great that he was mature enough to know his father loved him and was comforted by that.
Fans of the author and genre are sure to love this read. I am looking forward to seeing if Shiloh returns to this “series” as I felt there was no “final” resolution to Mekayla’s storyline (I have a feeling she’s up to no good).
As this is from the Christian line of Harlequin’s books, there will definitely be strong themes of faith in it.

Jordan feels like she retreated back to her family home. After everything fell apart, she was glad to have a place to land. At the same time, she knows she can do more with their family store. Will she be given a chance?
This is a sweet romance with an adorable boy who definitely plays a factor. When trust has been broken in previous relationships, it is hard to put yourself out there again. For these two, they learn that they can trust God AND each other.
I really enjoyed the job details in this plot. Setting up an adventurous operation in beautiful Northwest Arkansas would be fun. Revisiting this fictional town was fun as some of the places are now familiar since they are first found in Toni's book, Her Christmas Redemption. I appreciated this second book more because I read the first book, but I think that you could read this book as a standalone.
While this book does deal with past hurt, the focus is finding forgiveness and the ability to move on from hurt. Both characters have reasons to feel disappointed. But they find a way to work together and to grow. They do not get stuck in past circumstances.
As with other Shiloh books, the romance is well-paced. Someone who has a child would not be rushing into a new relationship. Time is given for their connection.

Author Toni Shiloh takes us back to Willow Springs for another heartwarming story involving the Wood family and this time, the main focus is on Jordan Wood and her former classmate Declan Porter. She's back home to help in the family store and hopefully increase business with her newly acquired marketing skills, and he's struggling to get his own business off the ground. Declan could use some of Jordan's knowledge but is he willing to accept her help?
There are so many powerful emotions that surface during this story. Both Jordan and Declan have experienced broken hearts, damaged trust, and feelings of being unworthy of love. Even friendship seems unlikely but is it possible that God's Plan is for them to help each other heal? Will their mutual concern for Declan's adorable little boy be their common ground?
Shiloh has written a lovely story of family, friendship, and faith. I recommend Winning His Trust to all who enjoy contemporary Christian romance.

But when Jordan wants to show her family that she can do more than work at the family store she jumps at the opportunity of helping Declan. After a mess of friendships and a relation ship she is definitely not interested in the blue eyes of Declan....or is she?
Declan, with his young little boy is struggling with his ex along with a business. Until, brown eyes Jordan shows up. In between, helping him with his business and River the little boy reaching out to her as a child to a mother. Jordan and Declan fight back their feelings for one another until an accident brings them to realize that a future together looks much prettier than what they had planned for themselves.
Toni Shiloh puts together such a sweet story full of Inspiration, and a family need of a real family.

I enjoyed this book very much. The characters and situations seemed so realistic that they came to life from the pages. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Winning His Trust is by Toni Shiloh and it is a companion story to Her Christmas Redemption. I was excited to see how this book would turn out and read about Jordan’s story. The concept was cute and the cover looks so sweet.
Jordan was a strong woman but she was trying to find her footing again. Jordan had returned home but she couldn’t seem to find her place. She wanted to use her degree but how could she tell her brother that when he didn’t even know that she had gone back to college. Jordan was a fun character. She could come off as a bit standoffish but she was kind and she worked hard. Jordan had to learn to see that God was in control and that he loved her for who she was.
Declan had River to worry about and his business. He wasn’t looking for love especially since his ex wife had left him and he was trying to care for his son. But God seemed to have other plans. I loved Declan, he was just trying his best and it was sweet to read about him interacting with his son. He really loved River and he just wanted the best for him. Declan had to learn to trust God’s plan.
It was cool to read about Joran interacting with her siblings and building back up her relationship with them. The family relationship was so sweet and made the book. I adored River! He was so cute and I really enjoyed reading about Joran interacting with River.

This is an entertaining read that is fast-paced easy quick read that I enjoyed. Declan is a single to his 5-year-old son River after his ex-wife walked on them and he runs an adventure business that is struggling. Jordon finds herself back home after a bad break up running her family’s general store after the loss of her dad. Jordon has obtained her business degree and knows what she is doing but her brother wont’ give her break in letting her help to elevate the family business. Declan and Jordon join forces and setup a business partnership. This is great read that I enjoyed.

Jordan Woods returns home after a bad break-up and wants to prove to her siblings she can hold a job and improve their family business. Only, her brother is not eager to embraced changes. This makes Jordan set up a partnership with Declan Porter as a consultant to help him with his struggling adventure business.
Declan is a single dad to an adorable Kindergartner. His failed marriage has burned him to the crisp, and he is acting reserved around women. But Jordan could save his business and livelihood, and he hesitantly allows her to help him.
Jordan and Declan's relationship evolves from business associates to friendship and beyond. It is not an easy road, but the more they get to know each other, the more they understand how wrongly they had judged the other person. After they are able to see beyond their hurts, they also see the value in being vulnerable with others, gain courage to ask for help, and trust God for hope, guidance, and blessings.
My most favorite part of this story was the two main characters Jordan and Declan. They both were written so realistically I had to remind myself they were just fictional figures. For instance, Jordan's moodiness, hesitancy, her tendency to blurt out her thoughts, etc. made her very a relatable and likable character.
Also, I appreciated the character's prayers, their faith, and the praise given to the Source of their hope and happiness.

Toni Shiloh has written a Hallmark style uplifting sweet romance in her story, Winning His Trust. The characters in this story not only learn about trusting others, but also trusting in God’s plan. Readers will enjoy the realistic characters and the relationship development between Jordan and Declan. And Declan’s son is absolutely adorable and is a huge part of this story. Readers will not want to miss this friends to romance story.

Winning His Trust is another enjoyable read by Toni Shiloh! Jordan Wood and Declan and River Porter are rebuilding their lives after previous relationships. Returning to her hometown isn’t easy for Jordan as she works with family in their store, and suggestions for changes aren’t always welcome. Her partnership with Declan leads to outdoor adventures, friendship, and a chance for more once they learn to leave the past behind, and trust God’s plan for their lives. Winning His Heart is the sweet love story of Jordan Woods, who’s helping out at the family general store and Declan Porter, a struggling business owner and single father. Both have to get out of their own way to enjoy what God has in store for them. This story delivers all the feels without leaving out depth and a journey of faith woven into the lives of well developed characters. I did not want to put the book down and finished it in a matter of a couple days. And in true Toni Shiloh fashion, I came away from the book reflecting on my own walk with the Lord. I cannot express how much I enjoy reading Toni Shiloh romances. I am so thankful to have been given an ARC copy of this book to review.
