The aftermath of the first battle continues as the victorious Kingsland army of engineers continue to lay track and push their presence into the retreating kingdom of Soria.
Meanwhile...The disaffected Thomas Walpish and the young assassin he has saved Skara Ningan continue the effort to destroy the mage that has corrupted so many young ones with his dark magic and "the black tooth". The only problem appears to be that he just won't stay dead.
Once more into the breach as Todd McCaffrey and the Winner twins Brit and Brianna continue their story of magic and war that is really about people...but then...isn't every story? The characters in these stories are nothing if not true to their written and developed personalities. The writers have given the readers many actors in their story both good and bad, as they continue this charmingly unique story.
How the original story line started back in book 1 is far away from where it has journeyed to where we are now in book 14. With more books coming it can only get better.
