*Takes out steak knife.* *Pours some sauce over plate.* *Prepares to eat crow.*
Yes, that's me with my tail between my legs, coming back to this series after I blew up over the last one and said I wasn't going to read any more of these. But then Amazon kept suggesting and suggesting and suggesting it. They wore me down. I was like, "Fine, I'll read the book. Just to see how it goes." And then, I was like, "Dang it. Now, I have to eat crow because this book is rather good." lol Whoops. I still don't like the last one. At all. But I'm a fair reviewer. I go into each book with a fresh mind, and I was thoroughly entertained with Cannon.
We pick up right from where we left off in Conrad: Sheriff Bailey is running for mayor and being a prick. Conrad might be going to jail for assault after he pummeled the guy. The Savage Kings have had all of their businesses destroyed or shut down. Their only hope? Madison Monroe. She's the gal running against Bailey, but her chances look pretty slim. With the right push, the Kings might be able to get her there, but they need her cooperation. She could be a good candidate--if she'd loosen up a bit. Years of pleasing her parents have been drilled into her, and it will be a hard adjustment for her.
Cannon is sent to talk with her and offer her protection as it is certain that Bailey will intimidate her. There is chemistry there, but once he realizes that he can't "one and done" her, he tries to stay away. However, after working her campaign, he does begin to fall for her. But they come from two different worlds. He's a biker, and she's a prim and proper lawyer. What chances do they have of being together? And what are her chances of shedding her image problem and beating Bailey in the election when everything is stacked against her?
If I had one complaint, it would be that the romance felt just a tad rushed. Just a tad. Otherwise, I loved the plot. The prospects provided some great comic relief, and it was nice to see Cannon grow and change. It was always Conrad as the serious one, and Cannon really stepped up to the plate with this assignment. The authors pushed Bailey as a terrible bad guy right from the first book, so it was nice to see them finally go up right against him. Overall, I'm glad I continued on. The crow tastes a bit bitter, but in the end, I got a great book out of it, and the authors got another five star review, so there's that. lol All's well that end's well.

This is suspenseful, romantic and entertaining. When Cannon is ordered by the ex chief to find dirt, or scare off, his rival for mayor, Madison, he and the cub decide to do the opposite and back her. Madison can't really believe that the ex chief would do anything illegal, so she doesn't take it seriously, until it's almost too late. Madison and Cannon are attracted to each other immediately, but Cannon doesn't feel worthy of her. It takes time for them to give in, but it's interesting to watch the relationship the two develop. I love this series, the characters are all intriguing and the storylines are interesting.

Cannon by Lane Hart and D.B. West a five-star read that will win you over. Cannon has always been the bad boy, the one to give you the time of your life and make you happy with the fact that it’s only a one-time deal. That amazing balance of naughty and oh so nice. But life has thrown him some challenges, and this may be the biggest challenge of all. Madison loves a good fight, she will fight for what she believes, and it will take some fight to win her over, Madison was such a great character, she really had the fight and passion to her that just won me over, she has become so resilient after having no one to rely on will she allow Cannon to support her? A simply diving story with characters that will make you fall for them and feel the beat of every heart. The ending of this story was like the cherry on a cake, and I am not going to spoil it, as it all falls perfectly like a house of cards a beautiful work of art.

(Cannon & Madison): TRIGGERS: assault, blackmail, attempted rape, election tampering, miscarriage. Cannon finally gets his day. He also manages to get blackmailed by the chief of police to get his competitor for the mayoral election to drop out of the race. The SKMCSC decides instead, they're going to back the competitor. Madison wants to be mayor and has big plans. I didn't like her in the beginning because she was extremely uppity. Not down to earth at all. Just by the way she judges Cannon upon appearance alone. Cannon is assigned to watch over her. The two try hard to keep things platonic and professional but eventually the dynamite explodes. The chief is up to his old tricks and now both of the twins are in trouble. Cannon and Madison were not my favorite characters but this storyline was really good.

Just when I thought Conrad was my favorite twin, Cannon shows up and I don't know anymore. I loved how he and Madison were a perfect couple without actually being together. They melted my heart more than once, especially by how Cannon was so frightened of getting hurt. Luckily they ended up happily together. 🔥🖤

I can't wait for the next book since is Nolan's story and we barely know about him, is he going to cause a big problem for the MC? Is he going to be truly accepted as a brother instead of a nomad? Is his story going to be heartbreaking? So many questions!

CANNON is the fifth instalment in the contemporary, adult SAVAGE KINGS MC-SOUTH CAROLINA erotic, MC, romance series co-authored by Lane Hart & DB West. This is Savage Kings MC member Cannon Erickson, and attorney/ mayoral candidate Madison Monroe’s story line. CANNON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but for backstory I recommend reading book four CONRAD.

After his twin brother has finally found his happiness with Hannah, Cannon is committed to helping Conrad hold onto it. When Hannah's father, the corrupt police chief attempts to blackmail Cannon like he did to Conrad, Cannon is desperate. He's been told to 'discourage' Madison from opposing Chief Bailey in his bid for mayor. Torn between keeping his twin out of jail and doing something so totally distasteful to him, Cannon doesn't know what to do. His MC brothers, as well as his twin brother, will be wrapped up into any course of action he takes. He doesn't know how to navigate this situation so that everyone survives it.
When he meets Madison, Cannon is immediately attracted to her, but she shuts him down quickly. He's never been rejected by any woman, and my does it sting his ego. Having loved and lost, Cannon is gun shy - he won't allow himself to get into a relationship again and open himself up to be hurt. West once again. These biker boys are a bit rough on the outside, but at their heart are good men trying to live up to their own code of honor.

And these two authors are freaking awesome writing MC books.
Lane Hart and DB West have created this amazing series of hot MC guys with real problems.
Their writing complements each other and you will fall in love with it.
Cannon is their latest release and it's the fifth book from the Savage Kings - South Carolina series.
This book explores the lives of Cannon and Madison.
Have you read this series? I advise you to do so, but if you don't want to you must read Conrad first. This book is the beginning of this new one.

Betrayal was very present as well as punishment and deception.
Some chapters were super sweet but then it changed in a sec.
These two were perfect for each other and you can feel it in your bones.
It was great to have news from the other characters from this series. I miss them.
Now I'm super anxious for what's about to come our way.

I am in love with this series. This story picked up right where Conrad (Cannon’s twin brother) left off. This is the story of Cannon and Madison. Cannon is a member of the Savage Kings – he is a player, charmer, an all-out bad boy. Madison is an attorney who is running for the local mayor position. She is a strong, independent woman who is also a little feisty. Cannon is blackmailed by the Police Chief Bailey (sound familiar) to dig up some dirt on Madison or find a way to get her to back out of the race. When Cannon first meets Madison, he is taken in by her, but plays it off. Madison wants nothing to do with Cannon and I think she might have hurt his pride a little!
I loved the banter between Cannon and Madison. Both try to deny the feelings they have and both really aren’t interested in a relationship, or are they? Cannon has been in a relationship in the past and when that didn’t work out, he vowed to never fall in love again. Madison just didn’t find anyone she really connected with and was focused on her career. Great story with great characters. I love how the Savage Kings stepped up to help Madison when she was in trouble and the loyalty the brothers have. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. And I'll ask all of you, romance readers everywhere, what can you possibly say about Ms. Lane Hart and her Husband, D.B. West, that hasn't already been said? This power couple is simply amazing. They only ever publish top notch, 100% quality books, time and again and this Series is no different.

So the M/C's fully back Madison in the race with Cannon & 2 prospects to protect her. When she's threatened to drop out of the race or else, Cannon shows his protectiveness side towards her. Cannon's a playboy & refuses to settle down with one woman but Madison is bringing out a set of different feelings towards her, admitting his love for her. She's beautiful, stubborn & very smart. The race is on & Cannon is falling deeper in love with her even when he tries to convince himself & her they are from different backgrounds & for them to be together wouldn't work out. She sees another side of him & his "family", realizing how she's misjudged him & his club members.
A great novel to read & if you like motorcycle-themed stories that have a good side to being a gang member, you'll like reading this story!

Cannon has promised that he will do anything that he can to keep his twin brother Conrad out of jail. Conrad found the love of his life Hannah and is expecting a baby with her. We know from Conrad's book that he assaulted her jerk of a father so he is facing charges. Cannon and the MC have vowed to do whatever they can to keep him from going to jail. After the Harley dealership that the club owns and Cannon runs is vandalized along with their other businesses being messed with and shut down by Hannah's dad they know they have to do something. Hannah's dad who is running for mayor comes to Cannon and tells him if he does not strong arm his competitor Madison to drop out of the race he will have Conrad arrested...Cannon decides to protect her and help her win the mayor race. The problem is that Cannon is attracted to Madison but Madison can tell that Cannon is a player and know's that it would not be a good idea to go there with him. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. Will Madison give in to Cannon's charms? Will Cannon be able to change his playboy ways for Madison? Is the MC able to keep Madison safe and help her win the race and bring Hannah's corrupt father down?

The Savage Kings are back with Cannon's story. Oh boy is it a goodie. I love when we have a character that straight up denies a hot guy then said hot guy gets a bruised ego. LOL! So we know that Cannon is Conrad twin so he is pretty hot. However, remember the chief, yeah this d-bag is at it again and is trying to blackmail Cannon. You would think that he would have learned his lesson the first time he tried to blackmail someone from the savage kings. Anyways we have Madison who is running for mayor which means that she is running against the chief. Hmm, so we know where this will go. Madison starts off being a unicorn in the midst of all the women Cannon draws to him. Even though she denies his advances in the beginning sooner or later she will give. Can he manage to weasel his way to his heart. It is funny how he is trying to figure out why he is acting possessive and is getting some weird feelings. So will Cannon and Madison finally give in to the inferno building between them. I gotta say that this book had me smiling, saying stuff out loud and cheering them on. We do get a happily ever after. So if you have yet to start this series, you don't want to miss out on this.

Cannon finally meets his match in Madison, a mayoral candidate no less. Through a lot of denial and self-discovery, Cannon finally realizes that loving someone is a scary thing but worth it. Cannon (Savage Kings MC - South Carolina Book Series 5) picks up from the story that featured his twin brother Conrad and soon-to-be sister-in-law, Hannah. It does not have the MC action that we are used to getting from Savage Kings MC books, but it does give us more insight into these characters. They are all starting to settle down, and it is good to see them still fiercely loyal to one another and now their own families. Two new prospects are also introduced, and three former nomads have become part of the club. There are some violent moments, and a couple of twists that you know are coming, but you don't want them to.
The book is an easy read as the drama keeps you turning the pages. The end sets up the next story in the series, which will feature Nolan, one of the nomads. It looks to be quite an interesting story.

Great writing!!
I was so excited for Cannon’s story to be released as we were kind of left hanging at the end of Conrad, and Lane Hart hit a home run with this next book in the Savage King MC South Carolina chapter. Cannon will anything to help protect his twin brother, but he draws the line when the ex-chief of police wants him to dig up some dirt on his opponent for the Mayor’s seat, Madison Monroe. Cannon and the Kings team up with Madison to help her with her election to beat Bailey. The one thing Cannon never expects is to fall hard for Madison. These feelings are totally foreign to him and he is a once and done kind of person. It takes Madison a while to trust Cannon and the Kings and overcome the fact that a motorcycle club is backing her for office. She soon comes to find out that these guys will be there to protect her and help her. The relationship between Cannon and Madison is rocky from the beginning, but once they both start to trust in each other and see that they are meant to be together, sparks fly. This is a wonderful series. I highly recommend that you read Conrad first so you know what is happening.

Cannon the twin brother of Conrad and is also a member of the Savage Kings MC. Madison is an attorney who is also running to be mayor of their small town. This good girl and very bad boy find they have a naughtiness which is so very sizzling hot and passionate. But this story is filled with suspense, blackmail, drama, some twists and some great characters, including the supporting characters.
I really enjoyed this story and thought it was a great follow-up to Conrad's book and the over-arching story-line of the MC.

It picks up right where Conrad's story leaves off but you do not have to read that book first. Cannon can be read as a standalone.
Cannon and Conrad are twins. Now that Conrad has found his happiness, Cannon will do everything he can to protect his brother from the former chief of police that's now running for Mayor. Including getting the hole MC to back the person running against him.
Madison has just announced her running for Mayor but her chances aren't looking too good. With no one coming to her announcement and no money left for her campaign she needs to find someone to back her. Even if it is the most unlikely allies.
These two are by far my favorite MC romance authors. Everything I have read from them is amazing and always leaves me ready for the next book in the series.

His twin, Conrad, is now with the corrupt police chiefs daughter, but could possibly be arrested for assault when he beat up Chief Bailey after he found out what he did to his daughter 5 yrs ago. Now he’s running for Mayor and true to form, Bailey blackmails Cannon to get dirt on his competition or threaten Madison Monroe to drop out of the race in lieu of his brother going to jail. Cannon and the Kings decide to do everything they can to help Madison beat Bailey. Unfortunately, Cannon’s attraction and feelings for Madison are really messing up his normal one-night stand mentality . Very good storyline with plenty of action, angst, danger, suspense, passion and chemistry for our H and h. Well developed characters that draw you in and make you love them. Looking forward to more in this series.

Cannon seems as though he is a happy go lucky type of guy. He hides his emotions really well, especially his anger. When his feelings take on a protective, jealous and possessive nature, he does not now how to handle it. Therefore, he sends mixed signals to the woman he's trying to protect.
Madison has the biggest change, and education of her life when she runs for Mayor. Madison is this buttoned up, in some ways, stuck-up, naive woman who is in over her head. She learns this City she is running for is ran by a man that will do whatever it takes to win. Madison finds herself more drawn to Cannon, but waits for his move.
This was a great MC book. It was about the story with this one. I recommend this book.

Cannon is placed in an awful spot after his twin is looking at jail time after beating up the chief of police when said chief then tries to blackmail Cannon into terrorising his competition for mayor of the town.
But Cannon and the kings don't stand for that and plan to see that they help Madison beat Bailey.
Madison has never had anyone step up to the plate and help her or even show her some support so when Cannon and the kings look out for her in her time of need she makes sure that she helps them out when they need it the most.
Neither of Cannon and Madison expect to lose their hearts yet I think Cannon's one hit streak is about to come to an end and Madison gets her biggest supporter in him.
Great Read and great to see the mayor get his just desserts looking forward to the next as I think that's going to be a surprise and how much drama is Nolan going to bring.

If you’ve read the previous books in this series, you already know the characters are awesome. After reading Conrad's story I was anxious to read about the woman who might be the one to break Cannon's "no relationships one night only" mantra about women. Madison is a "classy" woman who seems to have nothing in common with the "type of man" Cannon seems to be. What neither she or Cannon can deny is the instant and strong attraction and connection that neither of them expected and struggled with how it should be handled. This was a great follow-up and conclusion to the Erickson twins story and Lane Hart and D.B. West did not disappoint me as we find out whether the pig Bailey gets his due. Great storyline and great characters.

Things are getting intense for the Savage Kings MC. In Conrad’s book, the evil police chief, after getting knocked around by Conrad, caused lots of problems for the Kings businesses. And that picks up here in Cannon’s book. While cleaning up the damage caused at their Harley dealership, the chief comes in and blackmails him this time. Now, he wants the woman who’s running against him for mayor to be stopped and for Cannon to get that done. The Kings decide to back Madison Monroe instead, and Cannon becomes her shadow/body guard/and so much more. They are completely different, but light a fire under each other. Mr. One Night Only finally met his match! And I loved it!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

We now get the full story of Cannon. The previous book , Conrad, focuses on his twin and introduces us to Cannon. So you should to read story least that story to understand where this book begins
Cannon is backing the mayors opponent, Maddison in doing so he becomes her protector against the threats to block her success.
Maddison is a smart girl with a moral compass.
The attraction between the two is amazing. Unfortunately Cannon goes back and forth on commitment due to his past. Great dynamics in this book and keeping the storyline with these characters flowing. As always I enjoyed the dual POV of these characters.

Cannon is determined to make sure his twin brother, Conrad and his soon to be sister-in-law keep their HEA. Even if that means he gives up his own. To keep his brother out of trouble with the corrupt ex-police chief and current mayoral candidate, Chief Bailey, Cannon must convince his opponent not to run. Until he meets her. Madison Monroe is beautiful, strong, smart, and everything he wants and there is the problem. The chemistry is intense, the characters interesting, the book is well paced, and the steam is combustable. This is great addition to the Savage Kings MC - South Carolina Chapter series. Can not be read as a standalone but definitely binge-worthy with KU subscription.

Cannon is trying to help out his twin Conrad (Savage Kings #4) when the sheriff asks him to take out his competition in the upcoming mayor's election. Cannon refuses and becomes Madison's protector during the election. They are able to avoid any more issues with the sheriff and use his actions against him while at the same time the Savage Kings start helping Madison with her campaign. Cannon, the ultimate playboy, tries to resist his attraction to Madison but eventually they both fail in their attempts. Things get steamy, feelings get hurt and things get complicated with the twins but in the end everyone gets the HEA.
