Leon's storyline is much darker than even Stale's, but Tenichi manages to write the grim bits and the heartwarming ones with equal facility - not always something you find in a light novel. The side stories definitely drag a little this time, but overall this was a very satisfying volume.

Volume 3 in The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen by Tenichi.

I'm so sad there isn't more of volumes released already. I enjoy Princess Pride's transition through winning over every Freesian citizen she meets. The sweet debacle at the end of the book is especially entertaining.

I cannot wait for the introduction to the final love interest from the ORL otome game. The anticipation of meeting the last true romantic oppurtunity is almost overwhelming. I wonder if this next character will have more luck being officially accepted as the male lead in Pride's life? Every other possibility has one reason or another holding them back from realistically being capable of leading at her side..

Val has so much potential. I wish he had true probability in being her main love interest because the growth of their relationship is honestly my favorite. He was the first true romantic love interest for Pride as she is now. Arthur and Stale, while obviously a core component in her happiness appear more as the truest of friends or protective siblings. Leon had the greatest potential... But there is no way for them to have a romantic future with them both in line to rule their own kingdoms.

I am, however, becoming rather annoyed with how much self bashing Pride inflicts on herself. All evidence to the contrary, she's still practically petrified of the villain she could of become. Which blinds her to not only the true interest of the males in her life, but she values herself below anyone's notice.. At first, it was simply hilarious to see her so blatantly wrong about peoples intentions.. But now I can't help but be upset, not only for the lack of personal growth in her character, for the toxic way she views her own efforts and abilities.

I'm still concerned about the mysterious Adam of Razia mentioned in the previous book, but there appears to be no development on that point in the plot progression. I am however concerned that Leon's younger, and now banished, brothers will somehow become more of a nuisance later. Possibly in concert with other, already recognized villains?

Yikes. The arc with Leon was so ridiculous that it took me a long time to get through it. His weird shame over loving the people of his country and seeking their affirmation in return was just...too much. The brothers' plot against him was so weak, and yet it was apparently working. And geez, OG Pride was flipping psycho. The flashback where she is torturing the townspeople to screw with Leon was crazy. The thing is, I find it all so ridiculously unrealistic that I can't quite wrap my head around it. I know she's strong as the "last boss" but let's be real. Considering that she was universally hated and absolutely acted beyond even a pretense of being reasonable, it is far more likely that everyone would just abandon her and she'd have no real power. A ruler does not rule if they do not have support from a large force such as the military or powerful people. No one will work with someone as volatile and capricious as Pride, because they couldn't trust her to not turn on her allies.

I find it a little disquieting with all the innuendo and excessive adoration of Pride. Val in particular creeps me out with his comments, and I'm not usually one to care about that sort of thing. It also annoys me that Pride is so blockheaded that she literally has no idea that every male is basically in love with her. Even Tiara has noticed, and she's the younger one -_- But Pride continues to go on bemoaning her "evil" status and think everyone likes Tiara....

Needs editing

I counted thirteen instances of wrong word/missing word, or logic errors. For example, you can’t see someone smile or swallow from the other side of a door. The other volumes didn’t have these kinds of errors, leading me to believe that this volume was released at a rush.

The story is still good, despite the errors, but hopefully this trend doesn’t continue into future volumes.

My favorite moment of the book was Stale’s reaction to the love letters sent to Pride. hehe

I should also mention that the artwork is quite good. You can easily see the difference between wicked Pride and good Pride just from facial expressions.

I kinda like it when characters in an isekai story catch on to some inconsistencies. Like Pride has been able to get away with knowing the plot of the games because the character was supposed to have precognitive powers. But some characters are raising the point that it's kinda unusual to have such clear, precise, and detailed visions of the future. Even Pride herself acknowledges to her self that she needs to be way more careful with how much she reveals, because even she is aware that her powers are starting to sound a little to OP to be real.

This was really fun, I liked it a lot.

This series is one that I seem to always forget how much I like? Like - in between books I’ll be like “oh yeah, that series” but when I’m actually reading the books it’s more like “wow! I totally forgot how much I like these books” (and I do). Y’know?

Anyway, it’s of note that the last couple chapters had me laughing out loud, it was hilarious.

I’m really excited to see where this will go next! :)

Ok I admit I read this in the span of 2 days because I Am OBSESSED with this anime that I needed moreee! The anime stopped at s1 and I needed to know what happened next through the light novels. I do have some quips with not specifying the pov in each chapter- that really peeved me. But I rlly enjoyed the arc and the drawings. I think Pride is the best most amazing fl and I cannot wait to read to the end to see who she ends up with and her journey to becoming a badass queen!

We've finally reached some new territory, but I'm unsure how I feel. I've rated this three stars, but my true rating is closer to 3.5. Reading most of this book was fun, but some scenes dragged on, and Prince Leon's backstory didn't make much sense — at least the backstory from the current timeline (his trauma with in-game Pride goes CRAZYYYY). I understand his brothers fanned the flames of his issues, but it still felt meh.

I do plan on reading the next installment in this series, and hope that the author shows a bit more experience in their storytelling as the tale progresses.

quite good, i was very much invested in the whole brothers problem tho it ended quite quickly and the rest of the story was kind off a bore, but it's still lovely.
