It’s just nine months… Nine months One contract Don't fall in love.
When you are at the lowest point in your life, things can only go up, right? Wrong. I was a high end escort with three clients. Only one I cared for. He made me feel like a princess until one night he asked me a favour. I agreed. And that's when it all went wrong.
It’s just nine months… Nine months One contract and I broke my rule, I fell in love
Ashlee Rose lives in the UK where she resides with her husband, three children and her crazy cockapoo.
When Ashlee isn't being a stay at home mum and housewife, she is losing herself in her steamy romance novels and swoon worthy alphas.
Ashlee has always been an avid reader of romance and lives in a fantasy world.
In 2018, she decided to try her hand at writing, a few months later Something New was published. After vowing to finish the Entwined In You series and leaving it at that, Ashlee got the itch to continue and has many more romance novels up her sleeve.
Ashlee is on all social media platforms so go over and give her a follow.
2 stars⭐️⭐️ tbh this is generous bc there isn’t a single thing I liked in this book.
Nooooo this book was so bad 😭 I wanted it to be good bc I love arranged marriage/baby shit SO MUCH
The characters? Giving absolutely nothing. How the fuck are u just going to decide you loved each other all along in the middle of the book?? Like that’s so shitty bc so far all the audience has read is the disrespectful and hurtful things Preston has said to the girl. There was no “love” or any happy feelings that were portrayed at all.
The car accident was so stupid. It was so obvious it was just to move the plot further along because there was nothing happening before that and then when that happened it was “oh my God I must tell him I love him”. Like HUH??!?!!🤨🤨🤨 They were literally fighting on the way there?? Basically The whole book was giving nothing. The dude didn’t really come off as caring towards her or the baby. And I felt like he was lowkey cringe? It was forced ass wipe behavior but also forced love dovey shit at the end??? It just didnt make sense for his ‘character’.
Basically NO character development AT ALL from both MCs. Not good, not good at all. 😵💫😖😖
AND THEY NAMED THE FUCKING BABY PRESTON JR????.?.!.!;&;;&;& WHAT THE FUCK. WHY. ITS SO BAD. It just seemed like the author was also over this fucking monstrosity of a book bc everything was sooooo rushed.

2-2.5 ⭐️ Ummmm idek what to rate this. I was gonna say 3 stars but now that I’ve had time to think on it ima stick it at a 2-2.5. I saw the fist bump quote thing and I’m like oop got me intrigued. And I opened KU and read it in one sitting. Cause that part and the fact that I read it so fast are the only things I liked about it. Cause Idfk what to think. There was so much going on but then nothing at all. I got annoyed with her and pissed off at him ((Preston) the name will be important later on in this review and you’ll see why 😀💀). I didn’t feel any chemistry between them and shit was so fucking rushed. One minute they’re fighting no scratch that they were fighting the entire time. And not in the cutesy tension way. No, more like “why tf are they even getting together” kind of way. ANYWAYS fighting and arguing then BAM they’re like well shit I gotta tell you I love you. And I’m like wait a damn minute. Wtf is going on?! So yeah. Fun stuff 💀
ALSO TELL ME WHY THEY NAMED THE BABY PRESTON JR?! WHY?! FOR WHAT?!
I really wanted to love this… but I couldn’t. I absolutely love the pregnancy trope, so I was so excited to read this, but I was disappointed.
I hated Preston as a character, and I don’t understand how skylar could just forgive him as quick as she did, especially after what he said about her and how he acted around her. There was no grovelling on his side, even after her threw her job back at her and called her a whore, which doesn’t seem right at all.
The were many scenes that were so unrealistic - the doctor ringing her and asking for a date after her appointment and the gender reveal for example.
And I don’t understand how they all of a sudden fell in love with each other after half of the book. I mean, the scene in the hospital when she was trying to wake Preston up just felt so forced.
It was a quick, easy read, but it wasn’t enjoyable for me

I received an ARC of Ashlee's newest book and I was so excited to see what her spin would be on the "notorious" pregnancy trope! I am one of the three people that sure doesn't mind it! This was the perfect mix of spice, swoon and some intrigue. Preston went from wanting to be a bachelor his whole life to recognizing that his life was more fulfilled when having legitimate love in it.
The story followed Preston, the heir to a hotel chain and Skylar a, high class escort. Both have been through some events in their past that have formed them into the more hardened characters that we initially meet. Preston isn't interested in family and Skylar isn't one to rely on others. When Preston learns of a requirement to his inheritance he calls on Sky, who is his regular escort (an escort who has only ever talked to Preston), to help him out. Due to her financial state and lack of family she agrees to a deal and we then get to watch these two go through it to get their HEA.
First off, Ashley described Preston as Henry Cavill, so I will always go by the book description hahah! Second, my only complaint is that I would have liked to see more of Preston and Skylar's story as this was only about 200ish pages. Due to the length of the book we did see many event get resolved quickly which was refreshing. I love when the characters get right to the issues and don't allow too much miscommunication to get in the way! I love the spice and Preston's dirty mouth. There was the perfect mix of steam scenes and story! We even got a few plot twists in the 200 pages that we had which is talent! I was impressed by this book and it was a quick read that left me feeling like I wanted more, but also super happy with their ending.
Ashlee Rose is always angsty and this was no different. Truly a beautiful and raw read. Love a pregnancy romance. Love the roller coaster this author always takes me on.
Well, this needed an editor! Or literally anyone with a decent grasp of the English language and grammar to read through it and fix it because sweet baby J.... It was messy. Incorrect word usage, not knowing which "to" to use, not having a clue which word tense to use! I could go on but I'll stop and switch annoyances to the inconsistencies throughout the story relating to ages and timelines - amongst other things - and the breach of professional ethics by going on a date with your baby doctor!
However, the book was surprisingly addictive and kept me flipping pages to see what the next drama would be from start to finish! The story was pretty good, if lacking in execution, and the ending was happy, at least!
It kind of gave me overly dramatic telenovella vibes with the caricature villain, rocky parental relationships, and rollercoaster romantic drama... Let's face it, those things exist because folks can't look away once they've started and I was no exception!
So... Yeah. It was a hot mess that I enjoyed for a few hours.
When a rich tycoon is met with the ultimatum to have a baby by 35 or lose his chunk of the fortunes his family is to pass down to him, he decides that his high class escort will be the one to carry the heir.
I guess I'm just not a fan of Ashlee Rose. This is the second book I've read by her and Im just not drawn in . Sure the premise is intriguing, but the execution fell short. There was no back story or character development. And even worse- usually when books have little back story or depth your expecting SMUT. SMUT AND MORE SMUT . Unfortunately, there was maybe 4 short scenes of spice. Once in which they actually get hot and heavy, where she falls pregnant.
This was an ARC provided to me in return for my honest review by @ashleeroseauthor and her team .
I loved how in the dedication Ashlee wrote "For the fans of the pregnancy trope... All 3 of you" because I cannot stand the pregnancy trope. Probably my least favorite. BUT with that being said I thought this book was pretty cute. I know this doesn't happen to often for me but I loved BOTH Skylar and Preston. I think they were both strong characters that of course stumbled a little along the way but were good people when it came down to it.
My only complaint was George. Like who was he? Here one page and then seemingly gone the next. A little more on him would've been appreciated.
Also, Preston's dad can suck it. He is the worst.
I received and eARC from Ashlee Rose's team and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really enjoyed this book. Sexy, sweet, intense and great banter. It gave me some pretty woman vibes but with a planned pregnancy. If that makes sense. I mean She may have been an escort but she wasn’t what you expected her to be, but in a good way. He didn’t use her for anything other than someone to enjoy his time with and talk to until he needed her to take over a company he worked so hard for. He trusted her and knew she was the one. Not gonna lie you may have a moment you hate him lol but honestly this book was worth it and I highly recommend this book. Ashlee Rose once again doesn’t disappoint. 🥵🔥
This book was.. boring. I expected more cuteness and funny parts but the FMC was jus a wannabe funny person. I was expecting and was hoping for more cute parts with the baby. That’s the whole reason I picked up this book but I was disappointed. And there were far too many grammatical and spelling mistakes for me to enjoy without getting irked. Needless to say, I’m not suggesting this book to anyone.
This wasn't bad, per se, but I just wasn't feeling it. The entire story felt very rushed and I wish we actually got to see more of the characters together so we could see their connections instead of just being told they apparently had one.
I loved this book so much! For those who love a good pregnancy trope this was perfect. I love a good pregnancy trope when it’s done right and this was done right. The chemistry between the two main characters was amazing. The spice was *chefs kiss* but let be real like Ashlee would write anything less than perfect. I want to say more but it'll give things away so I won't BUT y'all need to read it. It was sweet and spicey and had a few OMG moments. I cannot wait for y’all to read it. Ashlee girl you're amazing thank you!
I know what you are thinking another pregnancy troupe book. And I know a lot of people don’t like them but I actually don’t mind them.
Skylar and Preston have such good chemistry! I honestly fell in love with both characters. Preston has a dirty mouth and I was here for it. Skylar has worked hard for everything she has I love her so much.
Pretty common trope, half decent story, terrible execution.
If you can get past the tense swapping, awful grammar (it's "I did" not "I done"), cheesy dialogue (my goodness, those hospital declarations were painful), one dimensional characters, and woeful predictability then you might enjoy this story. I'm not even sure how it ended up in my kindle but there are definite regrets attached.
Ashlee Girl, you did it again! I am in love with this read!
“Her fingers traced her bottom lip as her eyes burned into mine. I felt it. I felt the pull. But this was just a business transaction. Get her pregnant and hope to god she wants nothing to do with it after” -Preston
I’m going to say I know a lot of people don’t like the pregnancy trope but if it is done right it is amazing, and this was done perfectly. That gender reveal was so perfect and beautiful and I felt like that was such a Preston thing to do! I love how their friendship was before everything started, you could tell the bond that they had with each other. How he introduces her to his father “this is my skylar” 😩😩😩
I also need to find me a man that will finish inside me and say “I want you to cum all over my cock, then i'm going to fill you up with mine, and if any runs out, i'm going to push it back into your sweet little cunt because i want you pregnant.” when i read that part i literally squealed! Lemme tell you, If a man tells me that I would instantly combust 😂😂😂
To take over the family company Preston needs to have a child by his 35th birthday, how is he going to find someone to have his baby with? None other than the escort that he hires! In comes Skyler, she is needing money so she can buy a new place and go back to school to become an interior designer, so when Preston offers her 500K to carry his baby of course she's going to do it (lol so would I). Prestons piece of shit father figures out that she is just a “whore” and freaks out and Preston says inexcusable things about Skyler and she storms out of there and says that she will just carry the baby and only deal with Preston when it comes to the matters of the baby. Poor skyler is heartbroken as she loves Preston (who wouldn’t honestly) then an accident happens which brings them back together. Without spoiling anymore there is of course a HEA and the fucker of a dad gets what he deserves haha.
If you enjoy a good pretty woman vibes mixed with a pregnancy this book is definitely for you!!! Signed sealed baby comes out August 9th!! Thank you so much Ashlee for having me on your ARC team <3 I can not wait to see what is next!
I loved the push and pull in Ashlee’s books and this one is no different. We meet Skylar, who has had a junk handed to her, but she has done whatever was necessary to overcome the not so great things. She knows that she is not perfect but does the best she can to keep putting one foot in front of the other, so when Preston approaches her to help him out, she decides it is in her best interest to sign the contract. Preston has been told he has to have an heir by the time he is 35, so he goes to the one person that he knows that could possibly help him, Skylar. As these two work through their feelings toward each other, they realize that this baby changes so much more than their professional relationship.
Ashlee did a great job with Sky and Preston. Watching them as they tried to push back the feelings that they had for the other and trying to keep the baby the most important thing was great dynamic in the book. You could feel that they both had difficult times in their lives and trust was next to impossible for them to give. We had some suspense and as always, some drama and love. There is something to be said when you have a couple of secondary characters that are just as amazing as the two main characters that you enjoyed seeing them.
First off the dedication at the beginning got me as it’s true! The pregnancy troupe isn’t a fave of mine and with a lot of people but Ashlee has given it a really good go!
This story is about Preston and Skylar, he’s a CEO and she’s an escort. Hello pretty woman vibes! Preston is given an ultimatum but his father to have a child before he can take over the family business completely. Skylar is trying to survive is the best way to put it, no family left she turns to escorting to help with bills and keep a roof over her end. Preston is a client of her and her fave one as they don’t have a physical bond (yet) but a very strong emotional one. Enter the contract! A pregnancy contract, 9 months, have baby, hand baby over and it’s over… just no falling in love!!
Preston at one point really angers me so much that I wanted to climb into my kindle and punch him!!! But you can see his heart is in the right place and Sky is a very strong character, knows what’s right and wrong, will stand up for herself and knows her worth. I liked her very much.
My only downside was that I wanted more! Needed a bit more spice - don’t get me wrong there’s spice!- but maybe a bit more!!
I really enjoyed this book. UK based, which was fab! Skylar has had an unfortunate past and finds herself as a high-end escort. Preston has grown up on money, building an empire.. but again unfortunate upbringing even with all the wealth and luxury.
Skylar wants better, person wants Skylar .. not as an escort but as HiS.
So what happens when he needs an heir, she needs a better life and everything is in each of their way?!
This was full of tension and action. The chemistry felt palpable. The betrayal felt unreal. Pregnancy hormones were raging. But what should happen to them if they're from two different worlds, danger follows and walls are built to protect hearts.
There were funny moments, sad moments, cute moments and worrisome moments. There was heated 😈 moments.
I really enjoyed the read and it was read within 24 hours. The ONLY downfall was the writing... There were sentences written using the wrong tense or abbreviations where you would find in the UK spoken, but it is incorrect English and also some slight errors calling she him etc. Overall a great read and storyline but the grammatical and language errors (as a Brit) was distracting.
