Recovering from a severe injury, Mossad special agent Oren is stationed as a case officer in Italy, tasked with recruiting essential covert assets.
But when one such informant provides a glance into a dangerous alliance forming in the Middle East – a cooperation centered around a complicated drug smuggling operation and united by a joint enemy – Oren is thrown right in the middle of a global conspiracy.
As Oren investigates, the drugs soon turn out to be merely a means to an elaborate narco-terrorism operation that, if successful, will result in a horrific coordinated triple terror attack against civilian targets.
In a race against time, Oren must stop the three synchronized attacks that threaten his country's safety, and perhaps its entire existence.
A well-written suspenseful spy thriller with perfect pacing...
Israeli author Eli Evron holds degrees in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, Geography, and Law, and speaks fluent Arabic. He spent several years in Israeli intelligence and retired as a senior official. Eli has written three tremendously successful spy novels in the last several years. Triple Strike is his debut novel. His works are based on his experiences in the security services, notably his time as an agent's handler. True anecdotes, expertise, and practical experience from his own life are subtly mixed throughout the narratives of his work.
Triple Strike is a wonderfully written and richly descriptive novel with brilliantly drawn characters and settings. The threads of storytelling are expertly woven in this intense action-packed Spy Thriller that guarantees the attention of the reader. The narrative included all of the elements that a good story should have. A strong storyline, meticulous attention to detail, and, most importantly, well-developed, well-written, and well-rounded characters. There’s an abundance of well-illustrated scenes that make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that’s something I look for in a good book.
To summarize the synopsis: Mossad special agent Oren is stationed as a case officer in Italy, recovering from a serious injury, and charged with recruiting vital covert assets. But Oren is pushed straight into the midst of a worldwide conspiracy when one of these informants gives him a glimpse into a hazardous alliance emerging in the Middle East - a partnership built on a convoluted drug smuggling enterprise and unified by a common enemy. As Oren investigates, the drugs quickly reveal themselves to be nothing more than a front for a complex narco-terrorism scheme that, if successful, will end in a devastating coordinated triple terror strike against innocent targets. Oren must thwart three synchronized strikes that endanger his country's safety, and even its very survival, in a race against time.
I enjoyed the story, character development, and dialogue. There were plenty of plot twists that I didn’t see coming and that added to the book’s mystique. When I stopped reading to work, I found myself wondering what happened in the book, and replaying parts of the story in my head to see if I could figure more out. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much. It’s a well-written suspenseful spy thriller with perfect pacing. Highly recommended.
Hezbollah and Hamas and the global Narco-terrorism phenomenon
Israeli author Elli Evron earned his degrees in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, in Geography, and in Law, and served in the Israeli Intelligence community – all of which adds depth to his ability to write espionage thrillers TRIPLE STRIKE is the first of his novels to be translated into English – by Seree Zohar.
Eli’s knowledge of Arabic (he speaks it fluently!) adds depth to his writing, that influence being supported by the opening of the book:’ There are so many types of red flowers spreading like carpets across wild fields and featuring in ornamental gardens. One of the most unique, known since earliest humanity and focal to the twists and turns of human history is the red poppy. As kids walking through pen lands collecting wildflowers, we’d wonder how to differentiate poppies, anemones and buttercups, I don’t remember the botanic differences but to this day, I do remember the traditional Muslim story for solving the quandary…’ And after sharing that story, Eli moves toward his theme, discussing the opium that comes from the poppies and the story related to drugs and crime opens.
The immersive progress of this intense novel has been distilled as follows: ‘Recovering from a severe injury, Mossad special agent Oren is stationed as a case officer in Italy, tasked with recruiting essential covert assets. In a race against time, Oren must stop the three synchronized attacks that threaten his country's safety, and perhaps its entire existence.’
Playing out in cinematic fashion, this exceptional novel pleads for transformation to the screen! Meanwhile, we can await the English translations of Eli Ben-Amy’s other espionage novels! Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
To Be an Israeli🐺🔫🔪 Spy Among Enemies👺💥 ADULT Spy 👀Thriller🔪🔫. Oren, a badly injured soldier, is retrained to be a Mossad spy. Nadia💃, becomes a pawn💔 of the Hezbollah👺💥 after she must have an abortion. The shame of it is used against her and she is coerced, bullied, and blackmailed by a radical Imam into believing she can only be redeemed by becoming a suicide bomber.💥
ARC Provided by Hidden 💎Gems I also got this ebook from Amazon 📚with KU.
I especially like the beginning of the book where the author details why and how the Radical Islamic Arabs👺 grow opium poppies, and that besides the money aspect, it has actually become part of their religion to help them conquer the "infidels" .
One thing that was contradictory to me about radical Islam, is how a suicide bomber is blessed and goes to heaven but their victims are blown to "hell". It's incoherent but it's their belief.
Great book, but long, because of the many different players. I recommend to spy thriller lovers💕 because the author really knows his material because he was involved right in the middle of it and is an expert.
The book is very well written, it keeps you hooked and with every page you get sucked more and more into the story of the writer. You re-live the moments depicted by the author thanks to a very detailed story that must come from either experience or great knowledge on the subject.
For anyone looking for a good action thriller with a boost of adrenaline rush, this is the book for you!
A riveting tale of international espionage, relevant to current events. Mr Evron’s debut book is packed with action and suspense. The author’s background makes this book all the more fascinating. I definitely recommend this book to any fans of spy and suspense novels.
A political thriller that packs a punch, filled with action and thrills. A thriller with a mystery involving a Mossad agent and a drug smuggling enterprise.
A fascinating glimpse into the depths of the Israeli intelligence unit. A collection of seemingly unrelated stories, which stand on their own and are interesting one by one, are told intermittently and merge at the end of the story into a complete and central idea. Clearly the author is well versed and knowledgeable in the world of intelligence, the entire book is replete with expressions and explanations that help even the simplest reader to imagine, understand and fully experience the experience. Even the descriptions of picturesque Italy in which most of the plot of the story takes place are remarkably accurate and contribute to the reader getting into the atmosphere of the story. I really liked and definitely recommend reading.
I very much enjoyed reading Triple Strike. Once I started reading the book I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it, from start to finish, over a single weekend. Right from the first page, the story creates a very realistic atmosphere and immersive experience, with its excellently detailed locations, historical facts to give a rich background, and beautifully vivid and unique characters. This book definitely presents one of the most original and intriguing stories I've read in the espionage and Middle East genre. I strongly recommend it.
I'm a spy thriler freak, & have red every book written in this genre in the last years. I can say with confidence that the plot of Triple Strike, is no less interesting than the best known ones. Iloved this thriller, the plot was interesting throughout. It was clear that the auter had first hand experience, in the field. Highly reconanded
