I quite liked the story but it ended quite suddenly. I think just even just a couple more chapters leading up to a proper ending would have been good. I read this on Kindle and had to check to make sure it wasn't part of a series. It appears it's a stand alone book.

I liked the premise of this book, but there was far too much unnecessary detail. And the incessant use of ‘like’ by Clara was irritating.

PG-13 for heavy topics (abuse, death, etc). They made each character different enough that jumping around different perspectives wasn’t too confusing. They also jumped back into the past a couple times though which was a little hard to keep track of, specifically cuz they did it by date instead of saying past vs present. I love how not dramatic Clara’s response to the truth was cuz I feel like her taking a little bit of time to digest it all and to be understanding of it was a more realistic response.

The ending was laughabley awful though cuz it was very sudden. I feel like it was enough for us to assume how it’ll end but it still felt like “oh it’s over?” Like a chapter was deleted on accident or something.
