David Icke has been writing books for decades warning that current events were coming. He has faced ridicule and abuse for saying that the end of human freedom was being planned, how, and by whom. David icke's The Biggest Secret, first published in 1998, has been called the 'Rosetta Stone' of the conspiracy movement for the way it exposed how the pieces fit and the nature of the force behind human control.
The Trap is the 'Rosetta Stone' of illusory reality and opens the door to freedom in its greatest sense. Read this book and the 'world' will never look the same again. The veil of illusion shall be swept aside and the amazing truth this has kept from us shall set you free.
David Icke is a writer and public speaker. He has toured all over world giving presentations and has written over 10 books sharing his research and views regarding the current state of society and global events. Former BBC television sports presenter and British Green Party spokesman.
I've read the majority of David Icke's books and every one of them has been outstanding, this however I have to say is the best of the bunch.
We get a short autobiography at the start, with some interesting tales from his childhood.
Then he starts to get into it, and we learn about 'The Trap', the trap is an illusory reality in which the human race is imprisoned and Icke tells us how it's possible to break free.
It has to be read to be understood.
Icke also talks about this book at length in his latest interview with Brian Rose at London Real, you should check that out.
It's a mesmerising read that's filled with well-researched information and might be the best personal growth book I've ever read.

David Icke has been vindicated lately (unfortunately for humanity since it took Agenda 21 being real to do it!) and this book is a great help and wake-up call to start to wake up from the Matrix.
Why 3 stars? 1) The BIGGEST reason, his "solution": removing self-identity and identifying with "All that Is". In a perverse way that is EXACTLY what the Cult is trying to do, remove our identity and self and identification with body, mind, soul!!! Sure Icke says that the cult is doing it to connect us to a simulation, but the method is the same and this raises SERIOUS RED FLAGS What we have been deprived of by "the Cult" has been identity, as nations, cultures, individuals, tribes. Tribal people REALLY connected to the All that Is to Creatrix/Creator were BOTH retaining self identity and culture on an individual and collective level AND connecting to the All!!! Let's keep the wheel round please David...
2) There are half truths and contradictions but we wouldn't be humans without them we would be living in 5D already! He contradicts himself and his integrity twice in my opinion (although much later in the book he half redeems himself): BLM and Transsexualism. He's very connected to Native Americans, and he puts down the BLM movement, what if it were NLM movement? Native Americans had "two-spirit people" and it was normal and an inherent part of the culture and not pathologized.. True, both BLM and Transsexualism have been strumentalized, one to make caucasian people hate themselves, and the other to get us to hate each other and keep focus off "the Cult", but both things are valid in and of themselves minus the "Cult" influence
3) There is undeniable proof I agree that the "thingie" they have forced is culling humanity but I cannot in all conscience deny the existence of a virus prior to the 2021 "rollout" or agree this is "renamed flu" Some virus was killing people and causing long covid, blood clots and lung and heart and other organ damage and severe inflammation PRIOR to the "thingies". Normal flu does NOT do that The bioweapons are two not only the one that came in 2021.
4) He likens Yaldaboth to the "devil" to soothe the christian followers when he very well knows Yaldabaoth is a synonym of yahweh or moloch (interchangeable, look for solar storm podcast yahweh is moloch) who is the head of "the cult" really. We weren't created as humans by this monster, we were infected by this "would be god" and the serpent gave us knowledge of the Truth and we didn't fall from "grace" we awoke from slavery, for how could we have been in a "paradise" "prime Earth" and in 5D where all is limitless and being limited from "eating fruit from a tree"? That is a limitation in and of itself, we were in a prison and the serpent (the good faction of the reptilians? Enki? don't know) woke us up to the prison world (sources say with psyllocibin or similar, so the serpent of knowledge, the same opening of consciousness that Ayahuaca gave David and others....again a "good" faction of the reptilians, the "fifth column", another thing that is taken out of predictie programming like in V visitors?) but we were denied the fruit from the Tree of Life which would have given us the continuous time with no forgetting from death and rebirth that we needed to really get out of the Matrix and back to the real 5D world the Creator/Creatrix with no name beyond the religions (from religare, to bind) of slavery.
Since ALL of reality was created to "feed" these reptilians, ORGANIZED RELIGION WAS CREATED BY THEM TO HARVEST ENERGY TOO.... I'd do the opposite of what they are trying to "show me" and deceive me with. The "elite that was" with the baphomet pendant or the inverted cross or pentagram when there are dozens of cameras around what is it trying to make you DO? Run to church, give energy to the eggregore Jesus that in turn gives it to yahweh/moloch and the cult!
Chapter Gods of the Matrix: "worship of the serpent is the oldest and most global of all religions" FALSE. The oldest and most global, before the massive interference of the reptilian cult program, when we were in 5D more than today was the religion or better yet spirituality of the Mother and animism. We recognized the Mother of All and the interconnectedness and oneness in all things. And yet again, as some stories from the world religions say, yes most "serpents" enslaved but some liberated us, gave us back "awareness" and the "we were more like the elohim with knowledge and awareness"what the Cult fears most that we have, so there has to be a "fifth column" a "resitance" even in their race. It's as if an alien race that didn't know Earth judged us looking at Gates, Schwab, Fox news etc. They wouldn't know the reality and diersity of who we are. We cannot be generalizing, especially in light of the evidence Same chapter, again whether David already knows it or not what he calls "Satanists" are "yahwehists" worshipping and sacrificing to yahweh/moloch... like yahweh the "elite" are sociopaths, warmongers, slave drivers, sacrificing babies, first borns, genocidal, senders of plagues...shall I go on?? Now compare this to what "satan" or "lucifer" actually did, even in the bible and you will realized the HUGE DECEPTION, the huge yom kippur (scapegoating) ritual that has been led throughout the millennia to send the sins of yahweh to an entity without sin..... and by the way "let there be light" wasn't from Lucifer but the "supposed god" (of the matrix) of the bible...
5) In many passages Icke puts down the body brain in the way the Gnostics do, not realizing that in doing so he fosters separation. EVERYTHING, body and brain included ultimately come from the All the 5D world, and have the capacity of connecting to the 5D world so the Cult wants to enslave body and brain not only the mind
As an OG fan (circa 2006) of David Ickes work, I had to stop reading his books around 2014 or so because they were becoming (more) ridiculous. It was 2022, I hadn't read one of his books in almost 10 years, let's see what he's up to... Well, he went from non partisan spiritual truth teller, to absolute loon spouting right wing talking points, we get some real gold here like: "Covid and HIV/AIDs aren't real, as there's no evidence they exist" ."The "Woke" agenda is racist and killing intellectual discourse" ."Cancel Culture is destroying the fabric of society" (important note here, he was cancelled for saying 5G caused Covid, then some loons destroyed a 5G tower and people were hurt, that's why he was cancelled. He's right upset about the whole mess and now is anti "cancel" (consequence) culture because of it. .The coronavirus vaccines are introducing self replicating nano computers in your bloodstream that will make it easier for your mind to connect with WiFi and be replaced with an AI Program hive mind post transhumanist switch. .Women who get the covid shot and give birth have babies born with black pupils. .The autopsies of individuals who have been given the vaccine have massive worms discovered in their organs post mortem.
Guys, look. This kind of stuff is dangerous. There are alot of naive, dare I say, stupid people who can fall for this nonsense and it's foolish that we allow this man to spread this life threatening garbage.
We also get a story of how he had a crush on a woman 50 years ago and a series of coincidences led them to meet again, or something, who cares boring as hell waste of 60+ pages (Also important to note there are many things he says in this particular chapter that read like something straight off of an incel board. Very creepy.)
So David Icke has become a right wing chud clown. Great. Is there anything redeeming?
Yes and no.
I'll admit the first couple chapters, a mini autobiography was really interesting and I enjoyed that part immensely (130 pages in one day.) There's an interesting take on the simulation hypothesis and how extraterrestrials may in fact be artificially intelligent drone "watchkeepers" who oversee our transcendence from this life to the next during the alleged reincarnation process. (OH yeah, in this work Icke talks about how reincarnation is real, and it's bad for you because apparently the whole point is to become enlightened and then your awareness will be sent back to prime source or some drivel.) The classic reptilian bloodline talk is here. I don't care how old I get, that story will always be fun to read no matter how insane.
So, in conclusion, there are a few tiny redeeming passages in this work inundated with right wing talking points perpetrated by a once great man who's real bitter about getting cancelled for getting people hurt with his rhetoric.
Don't make the same mistake I did and give this man any money. This will be the last Icke work I read.
5 stars because he is a provocateur and he does his research and he is mostly correct, and he seems nice and loving and would be a wonderful friend.
I have a few troubles with him: His metaphysics are wrong.
I do not think the Queen was a lizard, even though her sons were pedos.
He has a stupid hippy belief that we are all ONE. Bullshit. How can he say we are controlled by extra-dimensional evil shites and then say: but we are all ONE?
Also: this belief that this reality is a hologram is PRECISELY what MKULTRA and Operation MONARCH want to make you believe. And, they achieve that split disassociation through extreme sex and drug abuse. He wants the same result. "Don't believe in this reality" "Love your oppressor because we are all ONE".
He either needs to rethink his foundational ideas or own up to being one of the twats trying to oppress normal human beings.
A year ago, if you told me anything that was in this book, I would have thought that you were bat sh!t crazy. I now know that I have to unlearn EVERYTHING that I have ever been taught. This world is NOT what we have been taught to believe it is. Once you see the deception though, you can’t unsee it. They are trying (and mostly succeeding) to brainwash us however they can. The news is all FEAR, FEAR, FEAR! The talk shows feed into the FEAR, and tv shows and movies guide our brains to accept their BS. It is a Conspiracy! Not a theory! Any hoo, I am working on raising my vibrations, eating healthy and enjoying this beautiful world. God bless us all. Thank you David Icke for not giving a flying f%#|< what people think, and for making this book available in audiobook format. Please make all of your other books available in audiobook version. I have narcolepsy and fall asleep after reading for 5 minutes but I can listen for hours. Thanks again. See you in 5D brother. Peace.
Been reading up on this guy for 16years now. He has never let me down, not afraid of speaking his truth. Lots of what he predicted based on self exploration and investigation came true With this book he connects the ultimate dots so we can understand the world we live in. I Will stand my ground from the heart and never let myself and him down.
Outside of the Wachowski sisters, creators of the movie, The Matrix (they used to be brothers), Elon Musk is probably the most well-known public figure who believes we are living in a simulated world.
Astrophysicist and talk-show guest celeb, Neil deGrass Tyson, thinks there’s a strong possibility of it. Lesser known scientists, intellectuals, and philosophers (ancient and modern) have suspected the same.
Then there’s David Icke, former footballer and TV news anchor from across the pond. If you’re a tin foil hat wearer, then you probably know this bloke. I heard of Icke a few years ago but never read any of his books. Until The Trap.
Icke takes the theory of a simulated reality to higher (or deeper) level. Actually, for Icke it’s not a theory at all but fact. Not only is he convinced that we live in a simulation, but he argues that the simulation is a prison created by a race of nefarious reptilian humanoids (the Archons) who trapped humanity in a fake reality in order to feed off of its fear and hate—-the two emotions that predominate on earth, says Icke.
Maybe you’re chuckling at these claims. I don’t blame you. I would have reacted the same had I not read books by other (more respected?) thinkers like Dr. Stephen Greer, Robert Monroe, Arthur Schopenhauer, and Plato who have intimidated or openly declared that the world is an illusion/dream with many trappings of a prison.
The first few chapters of The Trap are pure autobiography. Icke dives into his childhood, adulthood, and highlights key spiritual experiences (he calls them “synchronicities”) that shaped his character and defined his point of view of the world.
The rest of the book is a free-fall descent into the rabbit hole that is the simulation. Icke explains the relationship between “Infinite Awareness” v. “4D mind” v. “3D” matrix that comprise our experiences and existence. I struggled to wrap my head around this stuff, but I think he’s saying we’re like Neo in The Matrix—-we’re plugged into a world that we’ve all forgotten is not real.
He lashes out against an international “Cult” which he sees operating behind key nations (especially China) and key tech companies and billionaires (especially Google, Elon Musk, Klas Schwab, and Bill Gates). The Cult’s goals is to subvert humanity’s spiritual power at the behest of the reptoids and alienate humans from Infinite Awareness.
Icke also rails against the “fake” COVID-19 virus and the “fake” vaccines that he claims were designed to alter our DNA and transmute humans into cyborgs who can no longer procreate naturally. He claims COVID was part of the Cult’s plan to reset society and usher in a brave new world straight out of Huxley’s, Brave New World. I got mixed feeling about this. I read Huxley’s book. Much of it was appealing to me—-the state-sanctioned group orgies, the free Soma narcotics, the genetically engineered “pneumatic” women. If this is the kind of “reset” they mean, then I’m all in.
Yet, it’s all a simulation, says Icke. Only your awareness is real. Your life and body—the whole earth—exists only in your mind as a computer program that your brain is decoding.
So how do we escape? First realize you’re in a simulation, says Icke. Then, stop identifying with your body, your sex, your race, your ethnicity. It’s all part of the matrix to divide humanity and maximize conflict, tension, strife, and war between people and nations. Freedom begins with redefining your self-identity as pure awareness.
Know that you are not really white, or black, or asian, or gay, or straight, or transgender, or whatever. These are costumes. Digital avatars that we are all assuming. They are not who we are. When your body dies, when you’ve shuffled off this mortal coil, your cultural and gender identity dissipate. All that remains is pure awareness. Or do you really believe you continue to be black, or white, or gay, or American, or whatever, in the astral realm?
The Trap was entertaining and thought provoking, but how does one evaluate a black-helicopter-tin-foil-hat-secret-society-reptilian cult book like this, beyond simply calling it weird or creepy or controversial? I can compare it to what other thinkers and filmmakers have said about the nature of existence perhaps, but unless I personally have experienced what that nature is, I am left with either faith or laughter.
But I guess The Trap deserves four stars and not five, mostly because I didn’t care for the book’s newsprint pages, awful typeset, and tiresome memes.
The Trap starts with a bit of an autobiography about Ickes early life.
He says something which I thought was important and to paraphrase, he looks for evidence that supports the judgements he has already made. This to me sounds like confirmation bias, filtering out anything that does not support your view.
The book itself covers a lot of important issues, like the progress of AI and the world economic forums plans, but he makes a lot of claims that many will find hard to swallow, like COVID being a complete hoax.
I would say a third of the book covers what he believes reality is and I struggled to get through these parts, as they are quite difficult to understand.
What I think the book is good at, is asking people to question everything that they take for granted and believe. If everyone employed critical thinking then the world would be a different place.
The underlying morale to the book is to stand up for what you believe in, no matter how hard it is. Live your truth.
You will either think this book is life changing, or you will think Icke is mad.
Take everything he says with a pinch of salt, always do your own research.
Had to read this. The way the world works is absolutely laughable and it gets madder and madder each day. Icke promotes love not hate - people need to open their minds.
I loved it! I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t all me-me-me. Also, the auto biography in the first chapters was absolutely unnecessary. After all, the book is NOT about you!
I enjoyed this one from Ike, which I found much more personable than his other work. There’s a lot of his backstory revealed here which I found fascinating. He then goes on to convey his gnostic worldview as clearly as he ever has, mostly using the pandemic to illustrate.
I’d encourage anyone interested to get the Audible version over the print, he’s a really compelling orator. Even better catch him live as I did not so long ago.
You don’t need to accept his Gnosticism to appreciate his sincerity, wit & insight.
Another great book , thoroughly researched and with a depth of knowledge I have come to expect from Mr. Icke. I rather enjoyed the biographical details . David Ickes expert analysis of the current malevolent political maelstrom of machiavellian cults and sadistic satanic imbeciles is to be regarded with the greatest respect. It is balanced with historical context and of course the Globalist agenda . Profoundly brilliant. Read it.
I love a good conspiracy theory or theories that are out there. So I enjoyed portions of this book that were deep and thought provoking. But my goodness can David ramble on. His Kay story was not that relevant to anything that made sense to me and I think he just wanted to let her know that he pined away for her. I listened to this audiobook at work so it is good background noise but that's about it.
This book has major "Dad who clicks on those 'YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE NOW/ONE WEIRD TRICK TO REMOVE INTESTINE WORMS DOCTORS WONT TELL YOU' ads on the Internet" energy except replace 'Internet' with Ahuywasca.
If Sam Harris is the Rachel Maddow of Consciousness, David Icke is the Alex Jones on Masteron and Speedballs of Consciousness. Icke is nothing if not endlessly entertaining if you DON'T hear him out to the end and take it for what it is and enjoy it. But the difference between Icke and Jones is that Jones is a character while Icke absolutely believes what he is saying. The book has crossover with recently proven neuroscience, the theory of Renee Girard (in ways), Nick Bostrom, UAP Lore (which is now being confirmed after he wrote this), and Classic Freshman Psychology Major Smoking Weed And Asking What Other People's Majors Are At A Partyology.
I will never, ever let anyone ever call me anything but open-minded and dedicated after finishing this. Open-minded in being able to slog through the book and attempt to truly listen to Icke after he spends a chapter talking about how he essentially was recently stalking/harassing a HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH based on TWO BIRDS FLYING OUT OF TREE (yes, really), and my dedication because as much as I wanted to quit after this insane chapter (where it only got crazier from) because I need to hit my Goodreads year end book goal so I can flex on b*tches at the [book]club with my book count.
I love a good conspiracy theory because so many end up being true or having basis in truth, they're also cathartic which is why I think so many people invent them or hold on to them because its 'cozy' thinking that there is something bigger than you controlling and doing everything to you rather than having self-agency over your life. Icke cleverly plays both sides of this. But Jesus Christ, I almost detached a retina rolling my eyes when he said "Omicron is an anagram for Moronic". This book is so saddening, because with just an editor paring about 65% off the nonsense off, it could be one of the best conspiracy type books since 'Behold a Pale Horse' which has many commonalities with Icke's themes. Icke just can't help himself, like any good Confidence Man, he starts with something sensible, something (probably or sensibly) true and if you're lucky, backs it with research. Things such as not taking the current version of the bible we have at face value, instead looking at themes across religious history and ancient texts for truth and what he's found. THEN, 'And the angels are Archons who live in the moon which was dragged here from a far away galaxy to create a prison energy field around us because we've never actually seen the dark side thats also where gray aliens live im telling you!!!!' Cassandra archetype rants. NEAT, I'll just take the part about biblical scholars for now though maybe later man.
I literally sighed in relief when he started talking about 'the firmament' thinking he was going to go flat earth and he remarks that he doesn't think the earth is flat but THEN makes the jump to the firmament being - I don't even know - something with our minds and the 5th dimension. I'm still stuck on figuring out the 3rd pal!!!!
My favorite part of this book is when Icke quotes J.P. Morgan's "Millionaires don't use Astrologers, Billionaires do" because it confirms his belief in Astrology being a tool of the powerful rather than the much more obvious point he was trying to make that Millionaires work to get there and Billionaires are made through something more akin to crazy luck. Also, astrologers love pointing at this line to prove that astrology is real, without understanding that in JP Morgan's time astrology was insanely popular, to the point where Astrology publications often outnumbered all other daily publications combined.
5 stars for: 1. Interesting angles 2. A positive message on how to avoid the trappings of modern society 3. Extremely cool research and rabbitholes 4. Laugh out loud lines once you get to the lizard people and realize he's not using codewords for certain people of a religious persuasion at all - he is talking about actual lizards. Like the ones sunning on rocks. 5. Good vocal performance and ability to tie together the most disconnected of things to fit his confirmation of a conspiracy which is based on his feelings mostly.
2 stars deducted for: 1. 350 pages of manic schizophrenic raving 2. The chapter about *literally* harrassing a chick he knew in high school 40+ years after the fact through a tracer service (whatever that is) that GOES NOWHERE. For real, he has to be facing legal action from this woman and this is the biggest demonstration that he's not all there if he's not aware of his own status being ousted from society and aware constantly trying to contact someone 4 decades or whatever later isn't harrassment. I know what harrassment is because I do it for a living to customer service reps at my medical insurance provider and I do it well. Bless their souls (which Icke think is illusory by the lizard people).
Long live Yaldo Baroth's A.I. and our Lizard overlords!
P.S. here are some things i saved in my evernote from this book because they're just mastery: - nanorobots in shaving cream - google maps fixes your route 'magically' when you go off course and is sent to an archive in Indiana funded by DARPA wing of pentagon that then goes into the Acacia Archive in the 4th dimension -MAC addresses appearing magically in the bloodstream and on phones that were off of 30 people in Italy who got the vaccine? -"I don't normally like science-fiction but I watched The Matrix and..." -"I don't normally like science-fiction but I watched an episode of Star Trek where..." -China is the home to all encompassing citizen controlling AI because they are an ancient serpent worshippers such as the much venerated Dragon and it's year of the dragon [now] spooky! - spider crabs in corner of the room?!?!??! he laughs at the Spider crabs why -Dagoth Ur? did David Icke play a lot of Morrowind and just forget??????
P.S.S. my neighbor has farraday-caged his place, and put these metallic 5G blockers around his place. he is a great guy. but i think he also read this book.
I WANT TO BELIEVE.
WRAP UR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS IN FOIL TO PROTECT FROM THE ARCHONS BAD VIBRATIONS.
Only three stars as most of the content is recycled from previous books. It's time someone pointed out to David Icke that The Matrix was just a movie, a work of fiction not a reflection of reality. If he had never seen the film he would have very little material for his books as the plot forms the basis of most of his books, many of which I've read but after thirty years the plot is wearing thin. David Icke is no prophet or messiah, he may claim his predictions regarding plans by the global elite to take total control are unfolding but the writing has always been on the wall for those who care to take the time to look. To quote Bob Dylan "you don't have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows." Also from the pen of another great artist Leonard Cohen the following is "Everybody knows the fight was fixed, the poor stay poor, the rich get rich. That's how it goes and everybody knows." Forget The Matrix and deal with reality.
It's good to be critical and think for yourself. It's not good to fall into the trap of cognitive bias, premature conclusions or even worse, just make things up. This book is full of it.
David Icke. Strach vybudovaný tímhle systémem... a jsme zase zpátky. Dává to smysl. "Who Am I? I am all that is, has been and ever can be, having a brief experience called human. Who are you? The same. Live it, be it and everything shall change. The End. Thanks for listening."
I read The Trap mostly out of curiosity — I’ve always been interested in seeing what other people believe, and this book certainly gave me that.
David Icke’s The Trap continues his decades-long attempt to explain human existence as a grand illusion: a kind of psychic simulation controlled by non-human forces. According to Icke, humanity lives inside a “mind prison” engineered by archontic entities that manipulate perception, emotion, and reality itself. The result, he says, is a false world designed to keep us from recognizing our true, infinite consciousness.
It’s a sweeping cosmology that ties together religion, politics, quantum theory, and ancient myth. In it, Icke argues that the physical universe is a projection of collective consciousness; that human minds have been hijacked by “the Cult” — often linked to Rockefeller-funded science and digital technology; that modern medicine and vaccines are tools of control; that elite bloodlines, including the Royal Family, are tied to reptilian or interdimensional beings; and that only spiritual awakening and “raising one’s vibration” can break the illusion.
From a scientific and historical standpoint, nearly all of these claims collapse under scrutiny. Viruses were not invented by Rockefeller scientists; COVID-19 was isolated and sequenced by multiple labs worldwide; human DNA shows no reptilian ancestry. Assertions about “black-eyed children” or “Human 2.0” are modern folklore without medical basis. Icke’s framework is unfalsifiable — any counter-evidence can be dismissed as “part of the illusion” — which makes it philosophically interesting but scientifically inert.
And yet the book is oddly captivating. Icke writes with complete conviction, and that intensity gives his work its energy. His narrative fuses ancient spiritual ideas, Gnostic philosophy, and digital-age simulation theory into a worldview that, while unsupported by evidence, resonates with readers disillusioned by authority and modern systems of control.
If you enjoy exploring what others believe, The Trap works best as a psychological document — a glimpse into how grand conspiracy cosmologies evolve and why they attract followers. It’s not about agreeing with Icke; it’s about understanding why his story works for so many people.
Ultimately, this isn’t science but sociology in motion: a case study in belief, mistrust, and modern mythology. Reading it doesn’t make you a believer; it helps you see how belief itself operates.
Not for factual enlightenment, but for cultural anthropology — a deep dive into how conspiracy thought sustains itself in the modern world.
My grandad gave me precious advice. Three rules of life to follow. All three rules have been very important, but rule number two has been the most valuable to me. Always aspire to learn other ideas, no matter how odd, and especially ideas that are separate or against your own belief system. I think it's served me well, because my thinking has never been narrowed and I really enjoy new theories, and ideas a lot. We are all at fault sometimes, for seeking out information that only reinforces our own mindset, as if we want to prove our own outlook of life is the only truth. I don't like to be that way, and that is why I grew to love David Icke. Do I think he's 100% correct? No, not personally, and I also hope not too. But I still love the man and I always read his books. And he's so brave. A trailblazer. He carried on speaking his own truths when everyone thought he was a joke. He just carried on. I imagine many of us wouldn't have the courage.
We live in a world now where the majority of us accept everyone. We are told we can be whoever we want to be, and think however we want to and that's a great thing IMO. But when it comes to David Icke, he is still ridiculed for his beliefs. Why is that? Hypocrisy and ignorance I suppose. Two traits I personally do not like. I think his ideas and concepts are fascinating and I do like to play 'What If' in my own mind and consider every angle. I don't disregard anything or think I know better, and even when it comes to mainstream religions, which I personally consider vile, I still have respect for those who have faith. No one laughs at a global religion who very seriously believe an all powerful man/ being lives in the clouds, dictating humanity and making us suffer, while they follow mistranslated texts in an thousands of years old fanciful book, which is little more than a control mechanism to keep us in line. And also, they can murder in his name if you don't think the same way as them. Or you will burn for all eternity but don't forget! God loves you!! I mean, what's more fantastical and bizarre than that? It's insanity and yet, millions believe it. And people think David Icke is mad? Really? I'm not judging, I just have an opinion. I fully understand that seems not to be allowed nowadays. Reality is not what we are led or told to believe. That's the only absolute truth I know.
If you are new to the authors work this is worthy of more stars — but myself having read many of his previous books more or less know it all — but its proof he’s been right and how his “prophecies” are coming true in live real time as this book now confirms the world he predicted long ago we live in now — and scarily what’s yet to come with things like Ai and how deep the rabbit hole goes…

We've established I'm a fan of conspiracy theories, correct?
Because this book is full of them.
From reptillian overlords, to Agenda 2021, to transhumanism, to living in the Matrix it's all in there. Alongside some personal details.
It's a combination autobiography and bibliography/index of Icke's work.
For those who don't know David Icke was a footballer [soccer star for the Americans] who was injured and unable to play and then shifted to being a commentator. And then had this "awakening" and claims he was shown all of this information to share with the world. And he's been telling people about it ever since.
Quite a bit of what he's said has had him vindicated. However, there's a lot of "everyone knows" and "everyone's seen" which isn't a great way to support a hypothesis.
All in all he's entertaining even if some of his ideas are far more outlandish than I'd normally consider.
‘The Trap’ is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best books I have ever read. I also believe it to be a literal manual of how to get out of the trap we have found ourselves in.
In this eye-opening work David Icke slowly takes you through the maze of matrix and explains the things you see as you travel along.
The beauty of David’s advice is self-evident where he tells you not to take his words for an axiom and he encourages you to make your own research. How many people do that? How many people just thoughtlessly repeat what their mainstream media tell them about, pretty much, everything? What happened to the critical thinking? What happened to just ‘thinking’?
I loved the book and I wish everyone would read it. The only miniscule criticism that I had was the initial few dozen pages when David’s football career was described at length. On the other hand, we know that the man has a verbal diarrhoea so he can be excused, LOL.
