Just This Once

I swore to myself that I’d never cross that line with her.
But when Savannah Monroe, my chief operations officer, shows up on my doorstep with a proposition that starts with her in my lap and a promise of just this once…breaking the rules suddenly seems so enticing.

At fifteen years my junior and the smartest woman I’ve ever met, she’s by far the greatest asset at Baxley Tech.
From the moment I hired her, we had a connection—as friends, as a mentor.
A lingering touch.
A stolen glance.
An unspoken attraction that simmers just beneath the surface, threatening to boil over.

So when she reveals a painful secret she’s been hiding from me that involves my CFO, I don’t hesitate…I take care of it immediately.
Or so I thought.
But the lies and corruption go much deeper than I ever realized and now we’re in a tangled web of passion and secrecy.

After our one night together, everything changes.
The thought of her in the arms of another man turns me into someone I don’t recognize—insatiable, hungry.
Indulging in every filthy thought I’ve had about her for three years is one thing, but losing my heart in the process wasn’t part of the deal.

But here’s the thing about forbidden fantasies…they usually come at a price.
And this one, just might be deadly.

When a blackmailer threatens to destroy her life and everything she’s worked for, I take matters into my own hands.
Because when it comes to Savannah Monroe, there is no negotiation.
No backing down.
No Limits.
No Rules.
No losing her.

We promised each other it would only be just this once.
But now that I’ve had a taste…I want my fill.

Just This Once is a VERY steamy, sexy billionaire stand-alone with no cheating and a satisfying happily ever after. Be warned, you'll be begging for one night with Warren Baxley.

Excellent romance
4.5
I really liked the characters of Savannah and Warren, her boss. The two turn around, flee from each other, attract each other, all with a point of threat around them, and a age gap.
It's a very good romance, moving and full of twists and turns between the two of them who don't know how to communicate, nor how to react to each other, but who have an intense carnal connection.

Like all three 50 Shades books in one 250-page read...

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Billionaire romance, office romance, friends-to-lovers

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Warren and Savannah have worked together for 3 years, and on top of that have become best friends. But both of them have a secret they're not telling the other - they're secretly in love with one another.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: If you're a mood reader, and you're in the mood for a smutty, short book with all the traditional romance vibes... this is for you.

Warren and Savannah were a great couple. And Warren's billionaire bad boy style was the kind of romance male MC I adore. The spice was legit through and through, and it was such a quick read that I didn't begrudge it any of the quick "I love you" moments at all.

The points off were for grading this as a normal romance novel... the insta love was a bit much. The insta family was even a bit more unrealistic. There was a bit of over-the-top drama. But all in all it was a solid quick read and the perfect cure for my book hangover.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 3.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Warren has had a thing for Savannah, the COO for his company since she started working there finally, they agree to share a night together but they want more. When he discovers what his CFO has been doing to her and his illegal activities he goes into protective mode. Will they be able to make this relationship last? Great characters with loads of drama, suspense and steam. The story is fast-paced with plenty of twists and turns as well as sizzling scenes. I liked it.

4.5 stars. The push and pull. This story is an emotional roller coaster and I am so happy that I jumped on for the ride! Warren at work is completely different from Warren at home and *fans self* he is hot! Savannah works hard for everything she does. She didn't have the best childhood, but that just made her determined to be awesome at life. The side characters really bring a nice depth to the story as well.

Taking a Chance on Love

Savannah Grace Monroe, a beautiful woman in her late 20’s with chocolate brown hair and eyes, has not wasted any opportunity or moment of her life, climbing with purpose, skill and grace as she climbed to her dreams—the achievement of an executive leadership position in Chicago’s active and energetic business world.

Part of her ability to achieve was the result of a supportive group of friends whom she met during her undergraduate years at Northwestern. There, Savannah benefited from a small, tight group of friends who helped her envision a different possibility for her future than that of her childhood. Raised by her grandmother, a woman of limited means and opportunities, Savannah knew that while her mom served a jail sentence and her dad disappeared from the picture, her origins did not determine her future. Not willing to accept that world, Savannah sought a pathway to achieve the dreams of the young girl virtually alone.

Now, before reaching her 30’s, Savannah has transitioned from Northwestern’s MBA program to a project manager for IPO, Code Red, to the young tech company’s COO, and eventually, to the position of COO of Baxley Technologies by impressing all with whom she worked with her skills, insight and judgement. But the journey was not without challenges for the young beautiful woman, especially at her dream job with Baxley. While the position was her dream job, almost from the beginning, the CFO, an older man, Eric Oliver, seemed to be intent on making her uncomfortable with his comments and suffocating proximity. But, Savannah’s childhood had toughened her—she knew how to brush off the older man’s inappropriate actions, words and proximity.

And, Savannah is tough—she has supportive friends, she has a stellar job performance, and most of all, she has an amazing boss, Warren Baxley. And while the CEO is 15 years older than the precocious employee, there is a connection between the two co-workers, despite the age and position difference. But in Savannah’s world, both inside and outside the walls of Baxley, forces are working to unravel the safety and security of the young business woman’s world.

Alexis Winter once more engages the reader in a delightful romance of an older man and a smart, clever younger woman who wins his heart as she strengthens his company’s bottom line and providing a great conclusion to an engaging series.

I received an ARC from Booksprout, but always purchase a romance by Alexis Winter.

3.75 ⭐️

Just This Once by Alexis Winter is a Age Gap, Billionaire Boss, Friends to Lovers, Office Romance about Savannah Grace Monroe and Warren Bexley. And told through their dual perspective.

From Friends to Lovers, Savannah and Warren’s journey was anything but easy or smooth sailing.
With enemies at play and exes popping up causing problems, it lead for quite an adventurous story full of ups and downs, and bumps and loops, due to the twists and turns that occurred.
All resulting in a narrative that was packed with drama, angst, action and mystery that created a lot of suspenseful build up, due to having to wait it out to see where the story would go.
On top of taking you on an emotional ride as well from the emotions and feelings that were at play and explored throughout.

When it came to the relation they shared with being employee and boss, it made for a fun, yet steamy journey for Savannah and Warren together.
Knowing that nothing could happen between the two, not wanting to risk their friendship on top of their work relationship. The journey they had you following them along on was nothing short of all kinds of elements.
Their constant back and forth on top of their push and pull caused more sparks to fly like wild. Since the chemistry they shared and had established from the beginning was already high.
Safe to say Savannah and Warren knew how to bring the heat, since even a moment between them together had the room fogging up.
And it wasn’t just when they gave into their urges from when they shared Sexy time, which was nothing short of being Smoking Hot and Spicy as heck.
But also in the sweet, cute and adorable moments they shared too. They just couldn’t not bring the steam.

The only problem this book had for me was there was something about the story that wasn’t connecting for me. It was as if something was stopping me from being able to enjoy it like Alexis Winter’s other books have done so for me previously.

However that’s not to say it wasn’t a good read because it was.
In fact Alexis Winter managed to do a good job overall with Savannah and Warren’s story Just This Once, seeing as she still managed to have me finish the book. Even if it wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

DNF at 73% 2.5 stars for what I’ve read. It wasn’t for me, but it might be for you.

I’m writing this review only because the only reviews I’ve seen for this book are overwhelmingly positive, and any negative reviews only contain ratings, not reasons. Seeing why others rated it lower than 3 stars would’ve helped my to-read-or-not-to-read decision, so proceed with awareness!

This book has all my favorite buzzwords— billionaire boss, cinnamon-roll-in-public-bad-boy-in-the-bedroom, I’ll-burn-the-world-for-you, friends-to-lovers, black-tie-events, will-they-won’t-they— and despite all the tropes I love, I feel no compulsion to finish this book.

The writing style is very much not for me. This is 100% MY preference and other readers may absolutely love this author’s style, so definitely see for yourself. Though it’s not the worst writing I’ve ever read, I find that it FREQUENTLY takes me out of the story. It’s giving high-school-creative-writing-assignment-turned-fanfic. Again, it’s not *bad*, it’s just more underdeveloped and cheesy than I can bear. It also feels unrefined which is crazy because it’s less than 300 pages but felt like 800.

I was already skimming on the first few pages (the first 🚩) because of the writing tone, thinking that getting to the spice would be worth it. Unfortunately, the spice was equally not for me. Everything happens very ~quickly~ and with little finesse. And our almost-fifty-year-old MMC gets 7+ back to back eggplants every spicy scene. I wouldn’t mind it being unrealistic if it was super well written/HOT, but I barely knew things were good for the FMC until everyone was abruptly *arriving*. Every reader’s spice level and preference is different, and I could see how this would be just right for someone else.

I hope this helps someone looking for an honest review and I hope, if you read this book, you enjoy it more than I did!

This story had me feeling all sorts of things. There was excitement, arousal, frustration and yearning. I’ve never read a book that messed with my state so often. To say it was a rollercoaster of a story would be an understatement. From the first page I was hooked. I kept thinking what if throughout the book. I also felt elation when Warren and Savannah finally get together, I felt like I was getting messed with a good portion of the book. Just when I thought they were going to finally come together, someone pulls back and this is where the frustration and yearning took place. The book really took me on a journey through the ramifications of their relationship. They start off as friends with each secretly hoping the other wanted more. I think they had to grow this friendship before they got intimate and while it was frustrating, it was also very fulfilling. I think because they started off as friends first that their connection was stronger. Usually with these kind of stories it goes straight into lust and need but this one had a big chunk of this, and it also had a mutual camaraderie between the two of them. It was comfortable and relaxing between them. You would have never guessed it was a boss and employee relationship because they were so casual and relaxed with each other. Some say this is bad in a work setting, but it worked to their advantage. No one would have suspected anything. I loved watching how they bloomed together and talked about things that could have otherwise been uncomfortable but it wasn’t. I was touched with how they knew they were in love with each other a while ago but respected each other’s boundaries. Very enjoyable read and I highly recommend it. It wasn’t too long and had just enough information that I didn’t feel like it was too short or no closure.

I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review.
I absolutely loved this book, but then I always love any book, written by Alexis Winter. She writes books that completely take over the reader’s attention, and emotions. Her books always have romance, lust, and a little suspense.
Warren is the CEO of a business, and a very wealthy single man. He is living the life of a bachelor, but is not content with his life. When he hires Savannah as his COO, he feels an immediate attraction, but he realizes that a relationship with her, would not look good at the office, and also he is more mature than her.
Savannah is a young woman, who has suffered a rough upbringing, but was always determined to be the best that she could be. When she is hired at Warren’s business, the CFO persists in sexually harassing her, with snide remarks.
The attraction between Warren and Savannah begins to heat up, and Savannah goes to Warren’s apartment to ask him for just one night. They agree to her plan, and spend the night together, but realization hits them in the morning, and their friendship becomes strained.
Warren can’t resist her, and they begin a relationship. Warren finally finds out about what his CFO, has being doing to Savannah. He fires the man on the spot, and this results in repercussions from the former CFO, and his son. They have both been doing illegal work, and are facing criminal charges.
Once this problem is resolved, Warren and Savannah get closer, and a full on relationship begins. Overcoming all adversities in their relationship, they finally obtain their HEA. With a beautiful wedding, honeymoon, and a heartfelt epilogue. The author closes with a story that this reader never wanted it to end.

Steamy and intense, Warren and Savannah’s story is a total page turner. He’s the billionaire owner of a tech company, and she’s his high-ranking employee. The two have enjoyed a friendship since she started three years prior, but there’s an attraction that’s been simmering just below the surface. When Savannah’s finally out of another long-term relationship, she and Warren begin to give in to their desires, but it’s not without its drama. There are other factors threatening their burgeoning connection, and this book follows them throughout.

The chemistry between Warren and Savannah is crazy hot! Like I don’t want to spoil anything for you but be prepared for the insanely steamy moments! Not only are they intellectually compatible, but they’ve also got the physical stuff going on, too. Plus, I love that Warren genuinely values Savannah as an intelligent woman that’s integral to company. He knows what she’s worth and values her dearly, and it’s both appropriate and sweet at the same time.

There’s angst written throughout this story, and it works to make the storyline that much more interesting. Things aren’t necessarily simple for Warren and Savannah in the first place, but then there are the other characters and factors that lend to there being an amount of strife that’s peppered throughout the book. This drama adds to the level of significance between Warren and Savannah and works well in the story.

Warren and Savannah’s story is interesting and beyond hot, and it’s a great addition to this series. I love how completely made for one another they are and all the drama, and I’m looking forward to the next book.

Just This Once is an intensely sexy romance from Alexis Winter that is perfect for someone who likes:

💋 Billionaire Hero
💋 Workplace Romance
💋 Age Gap
💋 Friends to Lovers

and so much more. There is a bit of suspense and danger mixed in but above it all this book has some spice 🌶 to it!

Just This Once is a part of the Billionaire Boss series but is 100% a stand alone- there are no interconnected characters so it is not necessary to have read any of the other books. Warren and Savannah's story was such a good read- the friendship and comfort that these two share with each other is unlike all the other relationships they have in their lives. Savannah may be 15 years Warren's junior but she has always had a bit of a crush on her boss and he is oddly protective over her.

I liked Savannah- she was an enjoyable character, she was independent, loyal, sweet yet fierce though her miscommunications with her feelings toward Warren and not sharing issues she encountered frustrated me at times. Now Warren- he drove me crazy in a very different way. I really enjoyed that he was more of a calm and genuinely kind guy, even if he is a little of a recluse, but that he has this hidden lust switch that turns him into a dirty talking alpha was all kinds of good.

There are twists and moments that caught me off guard and I wish we got a little more of these two as an official couple and how that worked into their normal lives but overall I really enjoyed Warren and Savannah's journey and where they ultimately ended up!

Savannah has worked hard her entire life to get where she is now. Her mom went to jail and her dad was an addict and left her when she was young. She did live with her grandma. Working hard and went to a top university, sacrificing to personal life to pursue her career. Her first job out of college was at a start up company, but she wanted more. She saw that a position of COO was available not knowing if she would even get an interview because she was so young, she applied for it and was shocked beyond belief she got an interview at Baxley for the COO position.
Warren is the owner of Baxley in his 15 years Savannah, junior. Savanna went through two interview processes before she was offered the job. Both times Warren was not there due to work obligations but his CFO was one of many who helped with the hiring process and from the very start he was making rude and obscene comments to Savannah. She would usually ignore it and try to put a stop to it but that did not stop the CFO and continued his harassment. Savannah didn’t say anything because she didn’t want to be that woman.
Savannah and Warren built a friendship over the three years she has been at Baxley. She had a crush on Warren but never crossed the line. After her relationship ended something changes. She can’t keep Warren out of her mind. Warren had feeling but he promise himself never to cross the line. One night Savannah made a proposition that he could not refuse.
I really enjoyed this book. This is the Alexis Winter book that I have read and will definitely be reading more of her books.

This book sizzles from page 1; age-gap; boss/employee with intrigue
Ms. Winter has done it again! Forgive me if I’ve said this before, but this is undoubtedly one of her hottest books ever. The dialogue between our H and h especially in intimate moments will thrill and chill. If you like dirty talk, you will want to read this book! No kidding, there were moments that gave me delicious chills.
Savannah Monroe didn’t have a great family life but she’s always been independent and a high-achiever. She knows what she wants and goes after it. What 30yo Savannah currently wants is the position as Chief Operating Officer of Baxley Technologies which she does indeed get. Three years later she is awed and crushing on her boss, 45yo Warren Baxley. She has recently gone through another “meh” breakup. What she decides to do pushes her boss, the equally enamored Warren to do something. There will also be intrigue. Surprises will occur and several great moments, one of which is Warren in the Epilogue talking to Simon. Really liked the extra touch with Easton and Jason. Love the cover. Love the inspiration for the title.
What can I say, I LOVED this book. I volunteered to review an ARC of it through Booksprout and give it a minimum of 5 naughty and scintillating stars.

Savannah Monroe was ecstatic, she had thrown off her difficult childhood, worked her socks off and had now landed her dream job as COO at Braxley Technologies.
Warren Baxley was CEO and Savannah's boss, despite the fifteen year age difference Savannah and Warren worked well together, she was good at her job and he was quite amused when she was relating her latest breakup and her dipping her toe into Internet dating.......that is until he wasn't, Warren had fallen for his beautiful COO but he couldn't get involved with a work colleague no matter how magnetic the attraction .
Savannah was very attracted to her tall handsome boss but he only saw her as a work colleague...........until he didn't and they had just one night.
This story follows the ups and downs of the passionate romance between Savannah and Warren, the lack of communication, the misunderstandings, the betrayal and jealousy of people who they should be able to trust.
This couple sizzle but the on/off relationship is a bit taxing at times. I must admit that this isn't my favourite Alexis Winter book but that doesn't detract from the fact that it is well written.

Oh my god this book has everything I wanted! Sexy, dominant, all in man, with a female who knows what she wants but is also happy to let him be in charge.

The chemistry between Savannah and Warren was off the charts, even when they both thought they were friends.

I loved how they progressed after 3 years of playing around each other. That dance they have on his yacht each year - be still my heart!

They were both really stupid in denying each other, but I did still love that part. The I shouldn't have you, but I can't stop wanting you and don't want anyone else to touch you part.

And the steam! Oh man the steam in this book was 🌶 🌶 🌶!

God Warren is so sexy, forceful but never hurting her. My favourite type of man.

The fraud and stalking was done well - racently read a very similar storyline and the difference between the 2 is just chalk and cheese. It adds just that hint of a darker element to their story.

I loved the proposal, at Tessas wedding, outside hanging their own private dance. And I love how Warren planned their wedding. And how Savannah took it as it was meant, with love.

The baby wasn't a total surprise, and honestly, it was neither here not there in the book, I don't think it added or took away anything.

The age gap billionaire office romance is sizzling hot. When the boss is mild-mannered and friendly, who’d guess he turns into an alpha once he sets his eyes on you? After you get in bed with him, he will never let you go. Savannah is hired as the COO at Warren’s company. More than a decade younger than most of the executives, she has a crush on friendly handsome CEO Warren. Warren is crazy about her, but he keeps himself in check. After all she is young and his employee. After 3+ years of working closely as good friends, Savannah finally can’t wait any more. She goes to Warren’s penthouse to have sex with him, claiming “just this once”. Warren has no intention to stop at one night once he has a taste of Savannah. The twist is his CFO is sextually harassing Savannah. Then she has a stalker and there are the naked pictures. The rich billionaire does not get to this place by being nice. As soon as he finds out his lover is threatened, he fires the CFO, setting up surveillance, reaches out to his contacts at all law enforcement to bring down the bad guys. He will do anything to keep Savannah and make her happy. That is really sexy! Good story with a very impressive hero.

Fabulous read kept me up beyond my bedtime so I could read the ending. The romance is pretty angsty, but the chemistry between Warren and Savannah is sizzling hot.

For as successful as both characters were described as being it felt a little contrived they would have this much as f a challenge with miscommunication. The hot/cold switches both pulled in the other were a little too much. I enjoyed the age gap/older boss aspect of the storyline. I’m a bit tired of reading romances about characters in their young twenties so having a male character in his mid-40s was enticing! Warren came across as such a sexy silver Fox!

I enjoyed the suspenseful aspect the author brought in to heighten the angst and she did a pretty good job trying to hide where the story was going and who was involved.

The drinks and brunches with her girlfriend were fun and helped make Savannah more relatable.

Overall this was an entertaining read with lots of sizzling chemistry between the main characters, and interesting small group of supportive girlfriends and a multilayered storyline.

A fantastic story that you won’t want to leave down! Savannah has been working for Warren for a few years, and despite the fact he is her older boss she is still attracted to him but has never made her feelings known. Savannah has been dumped again and after advice from her friends, she decides to try a dating app. However she has noticed the sparks between herself and Warren flying, so she propositions him to one night only. The chemistry between them is just explosive, and both are left wanting more after their night together. However not wanting to blur the lines of their friendship and working relationship and not brave enough to confess her feelings, Savannah decides to continue dating, leaving Warren green with jealousy. However when an ex-employee starts causing trouble for Warren and Savannah it only ends up bringing them closer. An amazing story with lots of drama and a few twists and turns. The chemistry between Savannah and Warren is just explosive and there are lots of hot, steamy scenes. A great storyline that will have you hooked to the end!.

I'm a sucker for a good age gap, office romance and friends to lovers trope, and I must say this one hit all the boxes its so good.

Warren is CEO of Baxley Technologies and Savannah is his COO, they've became good friends since he hired her for the position. Even though Savannah had a boyfriend during the time there was always some chemistry between the two. When Savannah's boyfriend broke up with her she vented out her frustrations to Warren. Savannah took it upon herself and propositioned Warren with a one night, just this once experience to get out all the tension that's been building between them out of their system. But that totally backfires as just once is not enough for both of them.

The chemistry is off the charts hot/steamy. The struggles the two go through to try to maintain a working/friend relationship while trying to navigate their true feelings pulls at the heartstrings.

Way to go Alexis on another great, fantastic book.

For adults only!
This book is about Savannah Grace Monroe, a pretty brilliant young woman who becomes COO for Baxter Technologies. The owner is Warren Bexley, CEO, who is 15 years her senior and unmarried. When Savannah interviewed for the job, she is 26, but Warren decides she is the best person for the job. 4 years later, they are friends, but each is hiding an attraction to the other. The story is well written, with fully developed characters. Chapters alternate between Savannah and Warren, giving their points of view. In addition to being and age-gap, boss and equal subordinate, the story introduces Savannah proposing a “Just Once” encounter, which changes their friendship. And the author, to make this even more interesting adds blackmail to Warren’s plate.
I enjoyed this book very much, and my only issue is that it seemed to go on too long- I’d have suggested about 50 pages or so less of the back and forth between Savannah and Warren. Other than my issue, the story is satisfying and complete. I was given an ARC of the book, and this is my honest opinion.

Savannah is a young woman that has worked hard to achieve what she has in her career at such a s young age. Now she is going to interview for a dream job at Baxley's Technologies. When she makes it through the interviews and gets hired, she is excited to start. Warren has been drawn to Savannah since she was hired but held back because she was with someone, and they worked together. However, when she becomes single and needs a date to an event, he offers to help her. Its not long before things heat up between them. Someone from the company has been harassing Savannah but she has been keeping quiet and dealing with it on her own. When Warren learns of this he steps in to take of things for Savannah. Will this situation cause them problems? Can they find a way to be together?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Just this once is a friends to lovers book with an age gap and office romance also thrown in. It is part of the Billionaire series but is a standalone. It features Warren and Savannah. Warren is the CEO of his company and hires Savannah 4 years ago. They both liked each other from the beginning but neither one of them acted on it as they worked together and so became close friends instead.
Savannah breaks up with her boyfriend and needs a date for an event and asks Warren. Their chemistry is hotting up and eventually Savannah asks Warren for just one night together. But is one night going to be enough.

Another great book from Alexis, not only is the chemistry between the two of them amazing but the struggle of keeping their friendship and working relationship is interesting to read too. A good romance with twists, turns and a HEA. Definitely recommend.

I feel that this was a perfect example of what Alexis does well. Two people who clearly love each other but are friends/ boss/employee, with angst , lots of steam and a HEA.

I liked that we saw warren and savannahs friendship and their secret lust for one another before anything happens between them but while I loved the steam I felt that warrens dominant side comes out of nowhere and in the real world they’d be a few red flags that being said in book world yes I’d totally date him. The crossed wires and miscommunication is frustrating in places and I wanted to bash their heads together (a feeling Alexis often makes me feel with her men). I did really like warren and savannah together and overall I found this to be a hot and fun read that I couldn’t put down. I’ve really enjoyed this series with its older rich men and Alexis never fails to make me laugh cry smile and you guessed it want to bump her mcs heads together 😆

I received an arc from Alexis in return for my honest review

Great story.
I loved reading Warren & Savannah's friends to lovers story, that I couldn't put it down. Since they first met years ago when she got the job at his company there was an a connection but the attraction grew from being boss & employee to a deeper connection becoming the best of friends. Overtime the chemistry between them grew & they both secretly started falling for each other but not wanting to tell each other & ruin their friendship until eventually Savannah asks him for one night together to get it out of each others system but that's not the way it worked. Not only are they fighting to deny their feelings for each other but they also have to overcome drama, suspense, twists along the way, great friends but also a lot of steamy moments.
Love reading this authors books & this is no different definitely recommend.

(ARC REVIEW)

Ms. Winters the more books I read of yours the more I fall in love with your writing and this story is no different. This isn't your typical age gap office romance no this is more and I became hooked once I read that first page. Warren will frustrate you but you will fall in love with him. As for Savannah I won't lie and say she didnt annoy me because trust me she did. Even in my eye roll state with Savannah, you will also feel for her. They suited each other well and they were a perfect match. Let's skip over the smaller details of this story so I can give you a heads up on Warren's dirty filthy naughty words because Im pretty sure they would make a nun blush. Just be prepared. As for the story itself, I loved it. This book is a mix of it all romance, drama, and has a slight edge of rated r. It all boils down to perfection.

Really enjoyed Warren and Savannah's office romance.
Warren is Savannah's boss, they both have liked each other since Savannah started working for him.
When Savannah breaks up with her boyfriend and needs a date for a charity event and Warren agrees to be her plus one.
Savannah propositions Warren to spend one night together to get their attraction for each other out of their systems, but one night is not enough for them.
Will they admit their feelings for each other or will their age-gap and him being her boss get in the way.Don't want to spoil it for anyone or give anything away. They do eventually get to their HEA after a few twists and turns and surprises along the way.
Another fabulous read by Miss Winter's,this one is might be favourite so far from her standalone billionaire boss series.

This just might be my favorite book of Alexis Winter, and that’s saying a lot since I’ve been a fan and avid reader of her book for a while now.
I loved Savannah and her whole story. An orphan who works her tail off and becomes very successful with a brilliant career at a young age, what’s not to love! Add in the fact that she’s a good person and great friend and you can’t help but root for her.
Warren is the stuff that delicious, wicked fantasies are made of! There was not one thing to dislike about Warren. That doesn’t mean that I liked everything he did. There were a few instances when they both made mistakes and said the wrong things rather than being honest.
There was some angst and suspense, but the chemistry between Warren and Savannah was mouthwatering!.

Warren is a CEO and billionaire of his own company. Savannah has just been hired as his COO and is doing a great job at it. They build a friendship and both have feelings for each other but have kept a strictly professional relationship for 3 years. They are best friends and Warren is super protective of Savannah. Savannah is a strong woman and super smart but has had no luck in love. How long will these two deny their feelings for one another.
I have to say this age gap romance was wonderfully written with lots of emotions, some drama and plenty of steam. The storyline was great and I loved both mc. Warren is most definitely an alpha but Savannah is head strong and gives him a run for his money. Great job Alexis.

Savannah is the new COO for Baxley Tech. She's young and some people like the CFO don't like that. But 3 years into her job she's earned the respect from everyone (but the CFO) in the company. The CEO Warren Baxley has taken her under his wing and they have become friends as well as good coworkers, lately things have turned a little more flirty now that she has broke up with her boyfriend. Little touches here and there and yet the CFO always coming right as something might start happening, the guy is also a slime ball. When one night she goes over to Warren's house and says lets just this once get each other out of our systems. What happens when its better than they both thought it would be? What happens when you both have always had a thing for one another? What happens when people get fired?

Warren had me in a chokehold. This series of guys are just so intense and how they portray themselves. They are very confident, protective, and alpha, its hot as sin! I love the dirty talk and how much intensity it has behind what he says. I feel like Alexis just knows how to put power behind her words to make her men just super attractive.
