When Elyse McCray returned home to help her mother, the last person she expected to run into was the boy that stood her up on prom night sixteen years ago; nor did she think she'd ever need his help.
Dillion Taylor never forgot the girl that stole his heart in high school and, when they end up working together, he vows to make her understand that he never stopped loving her and leaving her wasn't his choice.
Will Elyse and Dillion find love again before autumn ends, or will they come to realize it was never meant to be?
I gave this book three stars because it left out a lot of information. 1- why did Jericho put the farm in foreclosure 2) what is Faith and Jericho always acting odd 3) after learning the truth about the Payments being made and paid off what happened 4) why was Cole going after faith and Elyse. 5) what information did Michael uncover. 6) who murdered Dillion's dad 7) why did Dillon's family have to leave so fast and why did her dad help. ...I just feel like half of this book is missing. Even with the missing information it was a good book .
Hmmm…this book ended and I’m not sure things were finished. I felt the book moved too fast and things were left undone. I’m not even sure that’s the best way to describe it. Looking at reviews I see I’m not the only one who felt this way.
Honestly, though I’m glad I gave it a try but disappointed by the lack of everything.
I found many editing errors that were missed as well which was also a reason for three stars
I received this book through Voracious Readers Only & the author in exchange for my review.
I was a little bit conflicted by this book. It had a good plot and the characters were sort of ok but it just felt rushed. It skips along at a fast pace and at times you feel like you may have missed something. Baddies change to goodies (and vice versa) with little warning or credible reasoning. Having said that, all in all it was a pleasant and quick read.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers.
Overall the book was alright. I felt like the book moved very fast and events happened way to quick. It was a good suspense book with a touch of romance. There were some questions that never got answered at the end. So overall it was alright but it could have been a little better.

This book!!! Once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down. Only reason I put it down was because I had to do adult things. I finished it in one day! I don’t do that often. There was so much suspense and mystery. It is such an amazing book!
This was a decent read because it did leave me guessing. But it left out some information that I feel like could have been easily explained. A big one was why Dillion and his family had to leave town.
Side note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review
Elyse and Dillion are only seeing their side of the story. This is a great second-chance story where you see the characters struggling at the beginning. It was a good story.
