If the prophecies are to be believed, that is. Terra, leader of the Earth Fae, is at her happiest when wandering sky clad through the misty forests of Ireland. While she knows it is almost impossible to resist the Fates, Terra hopes there is another way.
A way that doesn’t require her to claim a man that is meant to be her fated mate.
The problem is…the prophecies hadn’t mentioned that he would also be her sworn enemy.
Her people are troubled, and their unhappy rumblings shake the Earth and threaten the future of Ireland. Torn, Terra must decide if answering her heart’s song will save her people but in doing so, destroy her only chance for happiness.

Book 3 in the series and the best one so far. Awesome!!! I found myself envisioning scenes after putting the book down for the evening. Terra is such an amazing women; so loving and caring. Her love turned Rian's life around. Wow, so blown away by this fantasy. It was hard to put down at night. This is a "must read" series. It is going to be so hard waiting until October for the fourth book.
Chorus of Ashes continues Tricia O’Malley’s Wildsong series in this story about the Earth Fae. Rian, accused and banished from the Fae world, has been consumed with a need for revenge. When the dark goddess offers a way, he accepts. What he doesn’t realize is that he will be in conflict with his fated mate. This installment is more about relationshipsu than fighting, although there will always be conflicts between the light and the dark. The author does a very good job dissecting crippling emotions that often paralyze. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.
I loved reading Nora Roberts, JD Robb ( same person) until I started reading books by Tricia O'Malley. I really like how her books can make you feel like you're watching a movie. I have followed this Author for many years now. She never disappoints me. She is the only Author I follow that ACTUALLY seems genuine in caring about her followers, her staff. Amazing Young woman! So happy she found her "Life Mate" and Happiness. Sparkle on Tricia O'Malley!!!😊 I follow my dream of visiting Ireland through her books.
4.25/5 ⭐ Terra and Rian's story was a nice change from the format of the first two books in the series. It moved the plot along nicely and I was drawn in quickly. I can't wait to see how the series ends.
This was okay. I was happy to see that the plot kind of changed from the first two books. I was honestly worried this series was just going to be four of the exact same books tweaked here and there. But this one was new!
It was new, but it wasn't great. All of the characters feel so hollow in this book, we don't really delve into anyone's history or get to know anyone. Considering Terra is one of our main characters, pieces of her history that I think we really should have known from the beginning just kept popping up out of nowhere.
It felt to me as if the author couldn't decide where she wanted the book to go and just kept adding in additional information as she decided on plot points to include. In the beginning of the book, she hates Rian and believed in his guilt. By the time we make it to the halfway mark, she's claiming she always believed in his innocence and was taking care of his dying mom? It doesn't work for me.
I'm also getting tired of Bianca. She went from being cute and quirky in the first book to being rather annoying in the third. I'm tired of hearing her same shpeel about fated mates and true love to all of the fmcs in this series. It's awfully repetitive, and I could really go for another supporting character.
Last bit of rant. Why does the good fae goddess always pop up AFTER all the shit goes down. If bad fae goddess can show up for the battles, why can't she? Rude.
Exiciting adventure, captivating characters, and romance!
Before beginning "Chorus of Ashes" book 3 in Tricia O'Malley's Wildsong Series,I decided to re-read the first two books of the series. It is no burden to read Tricia's books over and over again. She has a way of making word choices that form the perfect sentence. Like Shakespeare, Tricia O'Malley's prose rolls off my tongue, a pure delight for a word-lover as myself. Tricia O'Malley's description of Ireland has me longing to visit the Ireland of her creation and search for the fairies that make that country their playground. Only after refreshing my mind with the past storyline and taking copious notes on all the brilliant ways Tricia describes settings and characters did I pick up read this latest installment in the Wildsong series.
All I can say about "Chorus of Ashes" is -WOW! I am once again blown away by Tricia O' Malley's latest masterpiece. "Chorus of Ashes" is an epic fantasy that captured me -mind, body, and soul - making it impossible to put down. Then I burst into tears, having read it in less than a day, realizing I now had to wait until October 2023 to read the next book in the series. There was never a question if I would pre-order book 4. I ordered before I started reading "Chorus of Ashes". Tricia O'Malley has a honored place on my "MUST READ" bookshelf!
Tricia O'Malley makes me believe in Fae, magic, and true love. A kindred spirit, Tricia makes sure good triumphs over evil and happily ever after. One of the best fantasy romance writers, next to Elizabeth Hunter, I will always be grateful for the hours of entertainment she provides me.
This is better than the first two. The conflict/resolution is more compelling and authentic. The bad girl is more powerful and bad. The hero and heroine are much more relatable. However, it's still pretty subpar quality as far as writing goes. Now that I've read this author back to back, they repeat ideas and themes SO much. Not just plot from one book to the next, which is definitely happening—and a big disappointment. But from one chapter to the next, the narrator will retell the same line of emotion or information they just gave you pages before. Using the same exact vocabulary! Your reader doesn't have amnesia. If you tell us a character feels something a few pages before we remember it, even though it's a few pages later. Anyway, I'll read the last book, because I'm not a quiter, but I'd never recommend these for more than a fast beach read.
I loved this story! Tricia O'Malley never disappoints. This was an excellent story about someone being wrongfully accused and subsequently banished from the Fea realm. He went on to become a very rich and successful businessman in the human world but he burns for revenge against the Fea who banished him and kept him from his mother's side. Believing his mother suffered in her illness and died alone because of the Fae, he wants nothing more than to destroy them. When the goddess of the dark Fae approaches him with a deal, he accepts. The leader of the Earth Fae learns that he is her fated mate when she hears her heart song and discovers it's him.
With some humor, lots of warmth, and love, this tale unfolds and takes readers on a whimsical journey of personal growth and discovery.
This is book 3 of The Wildsong Series. So far the series has been good and an easy read. I look forward to the finale!
Rian was unfairly exiled from the Fae kingdom and sent to live a human life. He’s made it his mission to make money, even at the expense of the earth that the his people dearly love.
Terra is the leader of the Earth Fae. She has a connection to the land that fuels her power. As the ruler of her people, Terra holds their amulet, a knife with special power.
Terra & Rian have a connection that is undeniable. Could he be her fated mate and what would this mean for her people?
As the Dark Fae continue their plot against the Royal Fae, the pair must decide whether they will work together. Will Rian choose Terra or seek revenge for his banishment?
Book three , I have read many books inbetween book two and this one so took me a minute to catch up, I do really like this author and love her new series set in Scotland, most of her books link so don't be shocked to see a cameo from a character from another series, I guess this one is something like season three or two you have the cove series first this series is focused on the fae and there is a portal in graces cove so you are going to have crossovers of a sort.
This was a interesting journey, I did not like the sign up to download to find a charger or two on his friend at the end. (I signed up ages ago) hate when author do that. This is book three so we are loyal we are going to continue, don't make it hard to track down characters.
While I originally loved the series and was so excited with the first book that I bought all the rest this one felt like almost the exact same story as the other two. While it starts with more excitement the story is almost exactly the same with a different setting and different characters in the same world. I ended up taking a whole month long break while reading this book because of the story line. I felt that the self damning character only worked for so long, Rian lacked the right qualities to maintain a thrilling and charismatic personality and therefore couldn't become a loved character. I felt that the ending of this book fell short compared to the other two in the series and has caused me to take a break from the series before reading the last book.

Another fabulous tale from Tricia O’Malley. Terra leader of the Earth Fae gets kidnapped by Rian an Earth Fae that had been unjustly exiled. Little did they know they were fated mates…. We reencounter Bianca and Seamus and also revisit Grace’s Cove. The troubles and tribulations are plentiful as Domnu continues to try and fight the good Fae. I must confess that when Rian finally took Terra as his life mate I had tears in my eyes… so beautiful…. I am not saying anymore. You must read this book and find out for yourself how fantastic this Wildsong series is. There is a free bonus scene after we read this book. Callahan’ Love. The sweetest little tale of fated mates true love.
I loved reading Chorus of Ashes. It is Terra and Rian’s story. It was so much fun to read! Especially because Seamus and Bianca were there too! And we got to meet Callahan, who I just loved. I was constantly back and forth, one moment I was laughing and the next I wasn’t! There were parts that just hurt to read but then you’d catch yourself smiling! It pulled out all the emotions! This author has the ability to pull you in to the story and you forget everything else. All that matters is finding out what happens next!!
I liked the idea of the story and as always the writing is great. However, there were inconsistencies. In previous books, Fae cannot lie yet Rian is wrongly accused of something that he vehemently denies. Why don't they take his word for it if he can't lie. And why didn't the council ask the woman he supposedly seduced for a name or at least wether it was Rian. Everyone constantly thought the others were lying which again doesn't make sense. I love this author and will certainly read everything she writes. But I was a little dissapointed.
Another great installment in the series In this story we are dealing with the Earth Fae Rian and Terra love story We meet up with Bianca and Seamus my favorite couple and Callahan as the fight continues against the evil Dommua As always Tricia weaves an exciting adventure that reels you in and won’t let you go There are some surprises along the way to keep you turning the pages until the end and it is a great ending Great job Tricia you are a master storyteller On to book 4
Rian was falsely accused and found guilty and expelled from the fae realm. He wanted revenge. Terra the goddess of the earth fae was a target and the evil goddess wanted her amulet. She decided to use Rian as her tool. He was ambivalent but went along. This book has Shamus and Bianca who add levity and insight. The book has surprises , tension, and heart. It’s well written. But there are some lose strands that in a longer book she could have continued.
Another amazing book from Tricia O'Malley! I don't know how she does it but each book seems to be better than the last. Love the story line of the elemental fae (water, fire, earth and air). Was especially happy to see friends from Grace Cove checking in as well. If you haven't read any of her series, start with Grace Cove and move forward. Anxiously waiting on book four, the wrap up and end of the dark fae. As the author says "sparkle on"!
This is the third in the series and involves the Bad Fae trying to take te earth. Terra is the goddess of the earth and there is a problem with her Fated mate—Rian was thrown out of te Earth Fae but he was innocent. Rian joins force with the Bad Fae and goes after Terra to steal her amulet. This story includes Biance, Seamus and Callahan also and turns into a very fun story. Only one book left. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
This is a good read but not quite up to the others in the series. I couldn't quite buy the story despite strong characters. The secondary characters are well drawn and are more believable than the main. Entertaining and Worth the time to read.
I read this way too quickly - now I want more! It would be impossible to say anything negative about Tricia O'Malley's books - they all draw you into the story and they all have a modern message within the pages - you just have to look for it. Tricia's quirky, creative mind always intrigues me and I am truly addicted.
Another winner in this series. Betrayal is very difficult to get beyond but the pull of fated mates is strong. Strong enough to overcome the Domnua? Terra can only pray that it is or the end of her reign may be in front of her. The struggle continues. Can one escape a deal with the devil?
I love this book and I love Ms. O’Malley’s writing style!! Her stories flow easily and keep you entertained. I never felt like there was a lull in the story or a lot of unnecessary filler. She is a very gifted and creative author. You won't be sorry to buy this book.
Book 3 in the series. As expected, it was great. The love story draws you in, and the action keeps you there. You can't pull away. You absolutely have to know how it will end. Even though you know the will be the of all ends. You can't wait until tomorrow to find out. Book 4 doesn't come out until October 24, 2023. You can believe I have it marked on my calendar!
The dark are causing so much trouble in trying to win against the light. Stealing the amulets from the powers and causing dissent besides killings and more. Finding out who has caused heartache to 2 families and how it plays out in the end will justify how true love works for the Fae.
The third book in this series took a more fanciful path that was unexpected but enjoyable. The characters were different from the other books and the interactions between them covered a full range of emotions. I wish the author had described the return to fae more fully as it was central to the story. I look forward to the final book in the series.
Tricia can do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to fantasy romance.
It’s got everything you want and need in this genre. You have the good vs evil trope. You have the fated mates and you have the magic that comes with it being set in a real life magical place.
The love stories Tricia O'malley writes are very awesome. The love relationship s have obstacles. I love these Far stories. The good verses the bad always reaching for the light. I look forward to the next book. I am a new reader to Tricia & love her fantasy writing. That's for a great love story!
What happens when you are betrayed? You want revenge. Rian wants revenge on the earth fae who casts him out when he is blameless. Terra believed him, yet she couldn't go against her family. When fate shows that they are mates, can they come together, or will revenge be the last stand? Another great book. Looking forward to the next one.
