Shameful Secrets #1

The Teacher of Nothing

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes a new steamy age-gap, student-teacher forbidden romance!

He’s a grumpy teacher with a chip on his shoulder. She’s his much, much younger student who’s completely off-limits.

Love broke me when I was a teen.
My dad not only slept with my girlfriend, but he knocked her up and made her my stepmom, too. Nearly two decades later and I’m still not over it.
How can I be when they’re a daily reminder of what was stolen from me?

Being a teacher isn’t necessarily my passion but pissing my dad off is.
He thinks teaching is beneath our family and I love watching him squirm.

But the joke’s on me.

I’m completely obsessed with the quiet, beautiful girl in my class.
Always staring at her perfect lips when no one’s looking.
She’s so young—too young for me.
Something about her, though, is just so sad and I can’t seem to stop thinking about her.

I want to comfort her. To hold her.
To teach her filthy lessons while in the sanctity of my bedroom.

And, yet I can’t.
Not only would I lose my job and bring humiliation down on the others in my family who don’t deserve the heat, but I’d be just like him. My father. A sicko chasing some girl he has no business going after. I refuse to let that happen.

Until I’m forced to protect her when no one else will.
Everything changes and I cross a line I’m not sure I can come back from.

It turns out, I’m exactly like my father.
A selfish man hellbent on ruining everyone’s lives over a teenage girl.

Eighteen-year-old Willa Reyes, as resilient as they come, has always held her own and taken care of herself. When her stepbrother goes too far and the evidence is witnessed by their statistics teacher, Callum Park, his infatuation reaches new heights as he decrees himself her protector.

They each have reasons for not becoming involved, besides the obvious age gap and nature of their relationship. Yet their intense emotional connection won’t allow it.

There’s no shortage of trials and tribulations. Yet it’s those twists that make for clear character development and a strong plot to accompany this juicy and forbidden (and deliciously steamy) love story. It’s a hard fought HEA and I’m here for it!

As soon as I saw this book was on the horizon I lost my ever loving mind. Now that I’ve consumed it in a day I can happily say that I wasn’t disappointed.

I swear Kristi’s books hit just right, they are my happy place. This particular gem covered many of my favorite tropes, age gap, student/teacher, a cinnamon roll MMC, and forbidden.

And Mr. Park might be my favorite teacher yet. He’s an asshole to everyone with one single exception.

Willa is a quiet, well behaved girl and a top tier student. Nobody notices her but Callum does from their first introduction in his statistics class.

We pretty well covered the gamut of every teacher fantasy in this one. From the flirtatious innuendo to the raw animalistic sex and everything in between. I’ll never picture s copy room the same way again. Yum!!

Plus we were introduced to a plethora of fun characters, mostly in Callum’s affluent family. I was stoked to see Spencer’s book is in the works. But mostly I’m hoping for Jude’s book, please tell me my wish will be granted. 🤞🏼

I usually enjoy this author's work, especially because she was always so good at telling forbidden stories. This time, unfortunately... I just didn't really find K. Webster's real magic. Even in the last few books, I got exactly the same disappointing performance. But here it's much worse than what I read before.

- Too much rushed romance, with no depth or passion.

- The MMC's has more the predator vibe and his every thoughts were uncomfortably creepy as shit than anything whatsoever.

- I didn't like how every guy's point of view or their thoughts about women were shown in the whole story. very disrespectful.

This had so much potential to be a 5 star read but it lacked depth and anti-climatic in character's personal history and development. But thats K. Webster for you either her books are so deep or they're just not 🤓

Can't wait to read about other character's from this book 👐

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Type: Standalone Book 1 of the series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

After being betrayed by his family member, Callum Park tried to distance himself as much as possible. But Willa Reyes made it difficult for him to not head toward the direction they couldn’t come back from.

As an adult, Callum was relatively immature compared to other younger characters. Understandably, he was hurt in the past, but his actions only disadvantaged himself instead of his original intentions. I liked how Willa was unassuming, which added to her appeal.

This week I’ve gone from a nobody who fades into the background to this girl who sleeps with her teacher and behaves badly with her new friends.
I’m kind of liking this new me.
I’m liking her a whole lot.

For a forbidden story, this book was a lot lighter then I expected. I liked the general storyline, but it has low angst with minimal illicit feel. My favorite aspect of this book was the family dynamics from both sides. Even though there was an element that led to the ending that I didn’t favor, the family factor added excitement to the storyline.

The Teacher of Nothing is a story of forbidden desires. It would appeal to readers looking for a student-teacher romance with family drama.

I admit this book and this whole story about this couple is so freakin hot af 😍🥵😏😏 Their chemistry and their whole relationship start is really freakin romantic and hot😋😋😋 I was like aww many times when I read how this couple started their strong hot chemistry 😚😚😚
But there are some scenes or inside secrets about the characters that seems too off 😅 Off like it’s not even cool that the author put it like that😂 Read my full review to know more about it😋😋😋

“You’re the most perfect goddamn girl on the planet, sweetheart. I’m going insane for you and I don’t give a damn.”

As you can read by the title and the book description, it’s about a teacher who is obsessed with his legal 18 years old student. Yes legal. Not underage… Don’t worry lol. And also the teacher is not too old either though… he is 35 years old. Not 40 😂

The story start with the hero who is obsessed with the heroine for couple of months. It didn’t say how it started though but not too long… The heroine is also secretly likes the hero but it didn’t say how it started… It just happens lol. One day the hero started to flirt with the heroine by accident and sometimes the heroine just flirted him back. It got very heated especially they become very closer and eventually closer than ever…

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGERS: High on violence, assault, bullying (but not too much), bad parents, sleeping pills, alcohol, stealing, drugs, burning house, depression and politics (but not too much).

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS A OVER THE TOP POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE MILLIONAIRE ALPHA MALE.

The hero personality at first was kinda hard to read or to understand. The hero have been through a lot in his life… like traumatic childhood, desperation, his dad being such a jerk and bad father… pain inside him is well read like you can see that this guy really have been through a lot. And during those bad times, in his old life he was unfortunately a manwhor3. And he was like that for a good reason😂 You will find out once you read it and you will agree with me why he do that lol. But tho he is not too much about it… And always one night stands, nothing more than…

The hero is mean to others and many times been a d*ck too for his family but for the heroine, it’s special. For the heroine, he is very soft to her and only to her…. Even his family is surprised to find out and to see the hero is so soft to the heroine 🥺🥺🥺

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A VIRGIN.

And the hero is happy she is untouched and he will be her first and only 💕💕💕

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is a very sweet girl. She’s smart and friendly. She doesn’t have a lot of friends in her school because she likes to be alone at first but she eventually have cool friends beside her. They’re very cool and protected her. The heroine got bully a lot at first but not too extreme and not too crazy! Nope. Even the bully scene only shows up like two times. And that is not too much…
The heroine also is very innocent, she never had a boyfriend before and never been kissed. So she is clueless about her feelings and about relationships… So sometimes she can be very clueless about that like asking questions or being too immature about it. But not too childish either…

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION FOR 15 DAYS. BUT BOTH ARE VERY LOYAL AND NEVER GO TO ANYONE ELSE….

“And I’m going to trust you, sweetheart. I have to. I can’t lose you. The past two weeks were hell. If my head tries to fuck with me again, you have permission to smack it.”

‼️‼️‼️MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO AND LITTLE FROM THE HEROINE.

“I want to put my hands around this kid’s neck and choke the life out of him. Watch his face turn purple and his eyes bug out as he gasps for air. He must sense the rage bubbling up inside me, despite my apathetic expression, because he drops his gaze to his desk. Good. He can shut his damn mouth and leave my girl alone.”

“Should I be worried my family is going to steal you away from me?”

‼️‼️‼️DUAL POV

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS REALLY SOOO OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE…. WANTS HER SO BAD… ALWAYS SAY THAT HE WANTS HER SO BAD AND VERY MUCH OBSESSED.

THE HERO ALWAYS TELLS THE HEROINE MINE. YOU ARE MINE.

“What are we doing here?”
His blue eyes flash with heat. “Right now, I’m kissing my girl.”
“Your girl?”
I can’t help but preen at his words.
“Mine.”
He smirks.

“When no one else captures my interest, I know the answer.
Her. Always her. The urge to drag my hungry stare back to her pretty mouth is almost uncontrollable. With each passing day, I find it more and more difficult to remain unaffected. She makes it impossible.”

“I don’t do this. Ever. There’s just something about you, Willa. I can’t get you out of my head. I don’t want to.”

“This thing between us, It’s not going anywhere. It’s the forever kind of thing. My heart doesn’t know any other way with you.”

‼️‼️‼️NO PUSHING AWAY

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS EX GIRLFRIEND OF THE HERO SHOWS UP BUT ONLY TWICE. AND THAT EX ALREADY HAS A HUSBAND.

BUT NO EX FVCK BUDDY OR EX BOYFRIEND EVER SHOWS FROM THE HEROINE…

‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT.

Yes hot smut scenes😍😍

So freakin hot!!! This author always delivers such a great s3x scenes ever in the books so I always love that about this author 🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

“This is a proclamation. Feral and filled with animalistic need. Mine. Mine. Mine.”

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS DRAMA WITH OM. It has been crazy but not too much and when it’s about to get crazier, the hero stopped it. So it not too much…. Other drama is about family and themselves.

‼️‼️‼️AGE:

The hero is 35 years old.

The heroine is 18 years old.

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING.

The heroine finally lives with the hero in few months later…

SPOILERS:

‼️‼️‼️WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK:

1. The hero’s ex girlfriend for four years is the step mother. His ex girlfriend fvcks his dad and have babies with him. The hero’s ex is also the reason why his dad wants to divorced his mother and leaving her to be suicidal about it especially finding out that the hero’s ex is pregnant already with her husband… IS SO FREAKIN FVCKED UP. LIKE WTF.
2. His dad never say sorry about it and even once say to the hero like: “you’re stepmother, i mean my wife.” Like wtf? What is his old man thinking about telling the hero that his wife is the stepmother when that was the hero’s ex girlfriend for four fvcking years? So stupid.
3. The hero once have sex with his older brother’s now wife before they were married. Like wtf? So when the big family have a dinner, the hero is once inside the two woman in that family dinner? 🤣 The wife of his dad and the wife of his big brother? Like wtf? 🥵🥵 It’s sound so freakin stupid😓 That’s not even funny author. It so freakin disgusting🫣🫣🫣

‼️‼️‼️I had fun reading the book. It wasn’t a bad book. I like the book. I just didn’t like some scenes and characters in it. It just so odd and annoying lol. But other than that, the whole story is freakin fun to read, it’s romantic and not boring❤️❤️❤️❤️

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽 IF YOU'RE BEING MEAN AND NEGATIVE ALREADY WITH A WARNING AND NOT BEING WISE TO ME, I WILL NOT ENTIRELY READ YOUR COMMENT AND REMOVE YOU EASILY AND FAST. I DO NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVE COMMENT SO KNOW YOUR PLACE, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I’m writing my disclaimer again here cause many negative people still don't get it or still be stupid enough not to understand my POV when I already write it so many times before. So here I am writing it again to you beautifuls human being😁😁 WHEN YOU READ MY LONG OR SHORT REVIEW, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT WHAT I LIKE ABOUT A STORY AND CHARACTERS RIGHT... IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEN HERE IT IS: I LIKE A BOOK WITH VERY POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE, NO CHEATING, AND PLEASE NO MANWHOR3, NO MANY PUSHING AWAY, NO DOORMAT HEROINES, NO MANY OW DRAMA, NO S3X SCENE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. AND SAFE ALL THE WAY AND A HAPPY ENDING. Something that I don't like it very much if the hero or heroine have a crazy fvcked up personality and likes. Example: killing someone and let the heroine watch it all and push the heroine to lick all the blood of his victim and made her have to eat the meat of humans. and fvcks many woman in front of the heroine while telling her he loves her. I DON'T LIKE THAT TYPE OF SH*T AT ALL. That's just who I am, that's what I like and I don't like on a book. Maybe you love that, but I don't. We humans are different, we think very differently from one another. You have your likes and I have mine, you have your opinions and I have mine of my own. You think it's stupid of me to love such a book or to not love a book or to hate it whatever lol, I think it's bad you think that way cause I respect people's opinions cause I know for a fact we have our differences. YOU AND ME ARE DIFFERENT FOR PETE'S SAKE. I even have my own friends or people I follow here that shows how much they don't like the book I like, I never even give them a long comment or short Comment. Cause I respect their opinions. I don't like to give people I hard time here cause life itself is already hard enough. I do respect your opinion if you say my review is bad or whatever negative things about it, but in the end of the day I will not changed my mind about what book I dislike and how my thoughts about it. You can't tell me what to do. You can give me advice but it's me who decided to know what's right for me, this is my life and not yours. Read that again. Don’t assume things about me that is not even real, just don’t. cause when you do you’re more small minded for sure. You're thinking why I'm telling you all of this when you already know? Is because you still hating on my opinions and don't understand my POV and don't respect my POV. You think i like writing this disclaimer when obviously you're an adult already? no i personally think this is unnecessary... but because there are people out there who still don't get it *rolling my eyes*. Hopefully they or the people who read this disclaimer can use a beautiful thing called a brain:) AND WHEN YOU READ MY REVIEW, READ IT VERY CLEARLY TO SEE IF I FINISHED THE BOOK OR NOT. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. AND YES ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE. BUT IF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M WRITING, THEN IT MEANS YOU UNDERSTAND IT ENOUGH. I DO NOT TOLERATE BULLYING, NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND MEAN WORDS. PLEASE USE A WISE WORDS SO WE DON'T ATTACK EACH OTHER. SIMPLY, I DON’T LIKE TO HAVE AN ARGUMENT WITH STRANGERS LIKE YOU CAUSE I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO😚 BUT IF YOU STILL WANT TO BE AMBER HEARD KARENS THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND MY DISCLAIMER AFTER I JUST WRITE IT DOWN, THEN GO ENJOY YOUR DAY AND GO AWAY. IT'S VERY EASY FOR A HUMAN COULD DO YA KNOW. IF YOU STILL HERE HATING ME OR ANNOYED WITH ME, THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM. NOT ME PROBLEM. HASHTAGS BURN😂😂 DON'T TAKE THINGS TOO PERSONALLY ON ONLINE CAUSE WE ALL A STRANGERS, WE NEVER EVER MEET. WE'RE ADULTS HERE SO LETS BE WISER. LAST, I BLOCK NEGATIVE PEOPLE! SO GET WELL SOON TO THE HATERS. HOPEFULLY YOUR HEART AND MIND WILL BE MORE POSITIVE 🙏🙏🙏 AND THIS DISCLAIMER MAY SEEMS LIKE TOO HARSH ON YOU BUT HEY I DON'T LIKE TO SUGAR COATED THINGS. I LIKE TO SAY TO THE POINT WITH MY UNDERSTANDING AND MY OWN THOUGHTS, CAUSE THAT'S HOW HUMANS ARE. WE ARE DIFFERENT REMEMBER👍 HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!

Callum Park is an ill-tempered high school statistics teacher with a giant chip on his shoulder. Despite having scars from a relationship in the past, Callum cannot resist making a mistake of his own. Mia Reyes is a good student and keeps to herself but she desperately wants someone she can count on in her life.

“Your innocence is a temptation I’m obsessed with. I want to strip it away piece by piece.”

Narrated in dual POV, Callum knows he’s a grump and is carrying a grudge, but he believes his feelings are justified. Yet, with Mia he is willing to risk his family and his career. However, there are more complications than they calculated.

With this story being centered on a forbidden teacher/student romance, there is a strong attraction between Callum and Mia, but I was hoping for much more intensity and development in their relationship. My problem was mainly with Callum and his vibe. Though he wanted to be protective, there were certain actions he could have taken to actually be more effective. Being this is the first book in a new standalone series, the foundation needed a bit more to understand the dynamics between rival families. That said, I was intrigued by secondary characters, Dempsey, Spencer and Jude. I remain hopeful for an extraordinary taboo scenario.

It has been a hot minute since I picked up a K. Webster book and man, I forgot how fast I could read them compared to other authors.

In this one, you got the taboo relationship trope between a teacher and his student, which in KWeb world, is not that extreme at all. It was pretty much a quick instalove story, with great smut and an intense possessive hero. And you know, with her, there's going to be some triggering scenes too . The plot itself was not that different in comparison to what she had written in the past, but I'm not exactly here to find that. There was just a level of comfort to her writings (however unsafe they can be sometimes) and why I always come back to her books even though I'm in a pit of despair that is my not-reading rut.

Also, why do I feel like there's a prequel book about the hero's dad and his ex out there? I wouldn't mind reading that.

Omg that was honestly an amazing read, k Webster never disappoints in making the butterflies 🦋 the naughty kind 😏 🥵 It was so refreshing to finally read a book in one sitting in between classes. *** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.***

The Teacher of Nothing is another stellar forbidden romance by the Queen of Taboo, K. Webster.
This is a wonderfully written forbidden romance between a teacher and his student with great possessive elements that make for such a compelling read.

Callum and Willa both have a forbidden attraction to one another that evident in the first chapter. Callum is Willa's teacher and even though he knows his feelings are morally and ethically wrong he cannot ignore his instinctive desire to protect his student. Callum is such a fun character because he has intensely dramatic feelings.

Another great element to this story is the family elements. Both Callum and Willa have complicated relationship with their families, which adds many layers to this story that are shocking to see develop and lead to their inevitable conclusion.

Another fun element is the introduction to a fun collection of eccentric characters from Callum's family. These characters make me very curious to see more from and the little teaser looks very promising for the next couple.

Overall I enjoyed this emotional forbidden story that was such a fun escape, even if it was a bit over the top, the dramatics made it all the more fun.

Read 3: 👍🏻

Read 2: I’ve been in a student/teacher mood lately and this reread hit the spot. Still totally love the story.

So much better than I expected.

I absolutely loved this. I’m a huge student/teacher fan, especially of HS stories. However, a lot of the ton authors make the teachers seem/feel skeezy. K Webster avoided that as far as I’m concerned. Callum was the perfect combination of obsessed and sweet. It was just so good and absolutely going on my re-read list.

DNF @49% - this was boring. There’s no struggle. While I didn’t find the hero creepy, I needed more resistance from him. There is zero angst. And because their relationship progresses from zero to him calling her “his girl” and crawling through her window and making her cum by chapter 3, the sex just wasn’t sexy to me. It seemed mechanical and completely lacking passion. He’s spanking her (with her enthusiastic permission 🙄) and 69ing her before they’ve had conversation of any substance. They barely do anything to keep their forbidden relationship a secret. She’s hanging at his house and driving around town with him. It’s all silly and boring and lacking emotions.

Oh AND his step mom is his high school sweetheart who he planned to go off to college with. His father knocked her up when she was 17 and they got married. So when the h marries into this family her mother in law will have a sexual past with her husband. And the H (35) is still pretty sore about his high school gf screwing his father and marrying him… 🥴 … and apparently she has access to his house. She barges in when he’s trying to sex up the h…. And talks to him all sweet… I’m gonna guess she was just a girl who fell in love with the wrong man (her BF’s DAD 🥴) and they’ll all be happy families by the end of this book. 😵‍💫🙄😵‍💫🙄😵‍💫🙄

K Webster has always been the queen of forbidden romance and The Teacher of Nothing was no exception. With the aura of temptation and knowing that regardless of trying to fight something so inevitable, the outcome is going to be the same and there’s no way you can fight it.

Willa has always tried her best to be a good student and fly under the radar. Her statistics class is the highlight of her day because she gets to be in the presence of her teacher Callum Park. Commanding and brooding with a passion to teach is one of the reasons why she enjoys being his student and it also doesn't hurt that he’s easy on the eyes. When a conversation turns into something more than neither of them expected, their student/teacher relationship quickly takes a new forbidden turn. Will they be able to resist the temptation or will outside forces derail their future romance?

I really love a good forbidden romance an if i'm being completely honest, I crave it from time to time. I enjoyed the majority of this romance and I really liked how Callum put Willa first and take care of her. I felt like the story was rushed and I didnt feel that all consuming heartstopping love between them and that did hinder my reading experience a bit.

If you’re like me and you love all things forbidden, then you should give this quick steamy romance a try.

As a lover of student/teacher romances, I sadly have to dnf this one at 50% in. For me, there is a certain formula that needs to happen with student/teacher romances in order for me to enjoy them. They HAVE to be somewhat slow burn. If this teacher is immediately giving into his feelings without any type of hesitation it's creepy. I really need to see him struggling internally. Unfortunately in this book, he is immediately in lust and flirting with the student... EW. In the past, the student/teacher books that have worked for me are the ones where the student is the one pursuing the relationship. She's confident, mature and sure of herself. Willa was timid and shy and honestly came across kind of immature. I love an age-gap romance as much as the next girl but this one just didn't do it for me. He was pursuing her and she had no experience with a type of relationship like this and overall felt really creepy. I was hoping that it would get better but the more I read the more I couldn't get on board.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

Don't get me wrong... I started this book without reading any reviews, cause it's K. Webster, and she can write from kinky to dark and from taboo to rom-com in a blink of an eye, and you never know what to expect, so I knew I was in for a good surprise.
I only knew that it was a trope that when it's done right, it's one of my faves.... student/teacher.
I loved how romantic and protective Callum was to Willa, while being a total grumpy asshole to everyone else.

He had really good reasons for his trust issues, and sometimes his actions were more immature than hers, but in all fairness, I would be way more bitter in his place.

Willa was a good surprise, even thought she was innocent and naive, she was also strong and resilient.

At first I thought this book would be a big k1nky fest, but to my surprise, it was more romantic than that (even with some really hot scenes, cause duhhh 🥵), Callum fell in lust with his best student, but since the moment they surrendered to their attraction, it was game over for him. He was 100% invested in her safety and love.

There's a plethora of great and interesting characters in this book on the Park family, and since this book is not listed as part of a series, I don't know if they'll have a book, but I really hope to see more of them and to actually have a good ending for Levi, cause I'm really not happy at how easy things ended for that leech.

I'm really curious about Jude!

🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧

Narrated by: Vincent Skye & Elle Sonali in duet style (my fave) and it was perfection!
They're both new to me, and I loved their voices and their intonations and how good they fit with Willa and Callum.
It definitely helped to enjoy this forbidden romance. Chef's kiss!

K. Webster just built an entire new world with new characters- and I’m so ready for everyone else’s story! Yes!!

Mr. Park is a disgruntled high school teacher with a chip on his shoulder. His father married HIS high school sweetheart and knocked her up - and made her his stepmom …

Ever since then, Callum doesn’t trust women. But there’s this one student of his.
Shy.
A good girl.
Beautiful.
She’s an obsession he loves to look at and watch. (Heroine is 18)
Her name is Willa Reyes and she’s in love with her teacher.

“Her innocence is like blood dragging its way through dark ocean waters. I am the shark desperate for a taste.”

“This is going beyond an inappropriate crush. This is a maddening obsession. “

Willa has a hard home life and when Callum finds out, he becomes her only protector and life line. But when her evil step father intervenes with the Park family, it takes on a wild ride to free her from her families hold and to keep the Park reputation clean.

This is a hot forbidden-taboo-age gap (18 to his 35)
Teacher/student romance. I love the “good girl” trope.

Yes to an HEA. And more characters will have their own book. I’m so excited for Jude’s story!

UPDATED: I really loved this series. This book had me hooked from the first page until the end. No skimming. This family is just so full of drama and I love every second of it! I originally rated this one 5-stars, but after second read I lowered it to 4-stars just because of the repetition.

"Your innocence is a temptation I’m obsessed with. I want to strip it away piece by piece."

Callum Park (35, hot and grumpy teacher) is 100% obsessed with his beautiful, shy student, but he knows he can’t pursue her because of that pesky age gap and student/teacher complications. Plus - he’s still traumatized by a betrayal in his past (back when Callum was in high school, his dad hooked up with his then teen girlfriend, Jamie, and knocked her up!! And now she’s Callum’s stepmom!!). When Willa is bullied in class by her evil stepbrother, Callum steps in to save the day.

If I could, I’d carve a hole in my chest and dig out my insides, just to give her a safe, warm place to call home. I’m her home.

Willa Reyes (18, virgin) is 100% daydreaming about her teacher, and she wants to make her feelings known, but she has so many issues at home. Not only is her mom neglectful, but she allows her husband and his son, Levi, to bully and abuse Willa.

The couple decides to pursue this connection, Willa makes a mistake, Callum overreacts, yada yada, more drama, secrets, fights, blackmail, rescues, and then a HFN. Sadly, there’s no epilogue; however, their story and this family continue into the rest of the series so eventually you get to their HEA and I'M SO HERE FOR IT.

This is what happiness feels like. Trapped in Callum Park's arms, locked in his possessive stare, and spoiled with tender kisses. There's nowhere I'd rather be.

SEX: Ugh… it’s a slow burn, but we get there eventually. The first kiss and intimate touch happens at 26%. Insert my swoony sigh here! He provides a much needed oral lesson at 38%. The V card is played at 49%, but unfortunately there’s condom usage. But!!!! At 75% we get some action without a condom!! Yay!!! I mean – I guess responsibility is a thing – but blah. I wish their sexy times lasted longer – but I’m still ok with it. I think I just have the hots for teacher!

WILLA: Surprisingly, she’s not as annoying as I would expect from a teen. She does a few things that are stupid – BUT – when you look at her age and life experiences, her actions make total sense. She also redeemed herself in my eyes because of the way she ultimately dealt with her mom. Props on that.

REPEAT: The repetition got on my nerves the second time around. Callum repeats all of the trauma he has about his dad knocking up his girlfriend. I mean – I can totally understand it!! But the full recap is repeated at least 5 different times and for me that was just too much.

3RD ACT: A teenage party, alcohol, twerking.... you know where this leads. This one is fireworks. Sometimes I enjoy that kind of angst.

TRIGGERS: Her stepbrother assaults her three times.

SERIES: The first and second book are HOT and steamy. The books after that are really good, but there's not nearly as much sex. That said, I still loved all the books and the drama in this family.

FAMILY TREE: This family is absolutely BONKERS. I really want to read a story of how Nathan and Jamie hooked up, but I can't find it in the list of books - might just be missing it.

Nathan Park: Callum’s dad. Owns the entire town of Park Mountain.
Jamie Park: Nathan’s wife. Callum’s ex-girlfriend.
Dempsey & Gemma Park: Twins. Children of Nathan & Jamie (when Nathan knocked her up when she was a teen). Attend school with Willa.

Callum Park: Nathan’s son from his first marriage. Teacher.
Willa Reyes: Callum’s girlfriend.

Hugo Park: Callum’s brother. Nathan’s son from his first marriage. Attorney.
Cassidy: Hugo’s ex-wife. Spencer’s mother.
Spencer: Hugo’s son. Attends school with Willa.
Neena: Hugo’s current wife. Mother to Aubrey.
Aubrey: Hugo’s stepdaughter.

Jude Park: Callum’s brother. Nathan’s son from his first marriage. Recluse.

The entire Parks family can provide so much smutty, taboo goodness!!
BRING! IT! ON!

K Webster is the queen of sweet and taboo stories!
Willa is a young girl who is just biding her time until she finishes school and is able to start her own life. Mr. Park, keeps her day interesting with his deep voice and his snug pants, but he’s her teacher and so off limits.
This couple tries to muddle through the physical attraction and deep rooted obsession to find a safe and happy ground.
Delicious scenes coupled with drama equals a sizzling and satisfying tale.

Callum Park, 35, as been developing a major obsession with his eighteen years old student, Willa Reyes. But Callum knows he can act on his obsessions, because he is not only her teacher, he won't absolutely not become his father!

But Callum is fighting a losing battle, because having Willa in his class everyday Cal realizes fighting the attraction between them is pointless.

Living with her mother, stepfather and stepbrother, Willa's homelife is not safe, but rather tumultuous, adding some extra tension and despair to the story. But is was the root for making Cal frequently lapse into a rage tailspin.

This was a quick read, albeit a bit more than just an iilicit teacher-student affair.
Told in dual POV alternating between Callum and Willa, their, at first, tentive flirting is cute. But the flirting quikly morphes into hot sex.
While I do believe Callum's father committed the ultimate betrayal, Callum's adolescent behaviour did rubbed wrong way. Things happen, deal with them and move on, maybe literally.

i don't see how they fell in love as they NEVER share a single thing about each other besides dirty talk, but hey, at least it got my attention!

And I kinda loved the family?? I would 100% read books from them all.

Basically my book trope crack- age gap, forbidden, super steamy and loaded with soapey drama. I swallowed this down ravenously in one delicious sitting. I love this type of writing for K Webster- it's got some naughty, but it's also got a lot of sweet. The queen of taboo can also deliver a whole lot of heart- and this story hit just right.

This was such an addictive read for me. Interesting characters, insane chemistry, all of the forbidden dynamics, and of course some incredible steam. I loved how obsessive and protective our hero was with her innocent heroine- and I loved how much she longed for him, too. It made what could feel to seedy actually feel really authentic and charming. Beneath the taboo eroticism we also have a really endearing tenderness between these two, two unexpected soulmates who help each other heal the lingering traumas they have from their families. And while our broody, possessive, and dirty-talking hero is a total kinky dreamboat, I also really adored our shy but wise-beyond-her-years patient and thoughtful heroine. Throw in a faced paced story with some drama, a little angst, and all the best sexy "good girl" moments and this one is a real page turner. My age gap loving heart was on cloud nine! Plus I'm loving all the secondary characters- hopeful to get all their books! Loved this addictive read- I devoured it whole. Panties and hearts melted- and I hope we get more from this world soon!

4 stars. Great story of forbidden love, each coming from troubled families. I wanted a bit more story. Sooo much smut and spice. 🥵🥵🥵🥵 Almost too much, or I would have given it 5 stars. I love the characters and their chemistry.
TW: Slight Sexual Assault but not full on rape.

You can say whatever you want but
K Webster knows how to write hot and addictive age gap forbidden romance!

I mean who hasn't dream about his/her teacher at some point of his/ her life??
And when says teacher is built like a god, wears suits, and he scares the shit out almost to everyone but he is freaking sweet with you and want to protect and worship you ?? How can you resist??
Oh Willa i totally get you, girl 😍
'cause i'm in love with Callum too now
😍😍😍

I devoured the Teacher of Nothing.
It was fast paced, spicy and with that bit of drama that keeps you waiting for the moment everything goes bad.
The only thing I didn’t like is the fact the ending seemed a bit rushed.
Or maybe I just needed more ... 😏😏

Looking forward to Spencer' story, but the one I really want is Jude's!!!

The Teacher of Nothing is the story of Willa and Callum. Callum is Willa's statistics teacher. And right on from chapter one they lust over each other. He is drawn to her quiet and hardworking personality. And she loves how he seems to care about her. And protects her in class from her stepbrother.

Willa lives with her mother, stepfather and stepbrother. Her mother keeps popping pills and her stepfather and brother keep harassing, degrading and sexually assaulting her. She grows up very unsafe.

Callum has trouble truly connecting with another person. As a teen he dated Jamie, but she left him for his father and had children with his father. And that has scarred him immensely.

And then they meet one another. Feeling this overwhelming attraction for one another, despite their age difference. I love how they grow together and how they find each other on a deeper level. And how much they want to protect the other one.

This book is a quick read and has a really fast pace. And I really enjoyed it a lot. I read it fairly quickly and it was a great ride to be on.

But I did miss the vibe Hale and The Wild had. I missed a bit of depth and there wasn't enough character building within the story. I wish the book was a bit longer so that it felt a little less rushed.

I also assumed at first this was a standalone. But I think other characters already have a book or are getting their own book. I wish I knew that upfront. So that I would have waited until I could read them all in one go.

Overall a fun book. But it lacked some depth and emotion.

So 3.5/4 stars out of 5 from me!

I wanted to like this, and I really really did for the first 100 or so pages, but as I continued reading it started to make me increasingly more uncomfortable. Before I start I absolutely love age gap romances, and I am not usually sensitive at all when it comes to age gaps, and I’ve been looking for good teacher/student tropes for a while so I was really excited for this book. But pretty quickly I started to realize this story is one of the cases where the man genuinely does have predator tendencies and mindsets that made me really uncomfortable. I think the author unintentionally showed the psychology behind why some men seek comfort in younger lovers, he was traumatized at 18, and then resolves that trauma by being with someone who is that age. It very much reminds me of Lolita. This book made me really really sad for Willa and left me feeling very triggered by the end. Besides that it also felt somewhat rushed, the first half had a good but still fast pace, but the second half was rapid and hard to connect with. I am looking forward to reading more from this author cause I have heard amazing things, but I am sad to be disappointed from this one.

DNF @ 37%. This is about Callum and Willa. Callum is 35 and he’s Willa’s statistics teacher. In high school. She is 18, but the drama is way too OTT for me. I usually like K Webster’s taboo stuff, but maybe I’ll just stick to her taboo that is not available on Amazon. This was pretty lame.

I’m giving up because Callum just came through Willa’s bedroom window and is going to spank her because she was upset. It’s after midnight and she had thought he forgot about her. So spanking is punishment for her insecurity? In her bedroom with her family right down the hall? 🙄 They’re begging to get caught in their forbidden trist.

To add to the drama of her being in high school and he’s her teacher: I skimmed to the end and the drama doesn’t end. So I’m done with this book.
