Most of the advice in this book is common sense about not being rude. There are no etiquette rules as such, like the correct way to stand/ lay a table setting/ converse in formal situations or conduct oneself socially.
When I was in my late teens I thought this book was great, re-reading it now I don't think so at all... Some of the advice it gives I find to be really poor etiquette, and at times implying things such as not to make a big deal about being "accidentally" groped by superiors or authority figures...?!?!?!?!?!?... A lot of the actual etiquette advice that it does give is very common sense and I didn't find any real revelations in it. Perhaps this book had its day, or perhaps it's better read by absolute beginners of etiquette.
