When Seraphina Fox, a medical student at Kestral Medical College for the Supernatural, accidentally uses her matchmaking abilities to pair with both of her incredibly alluring dormitory neighbors, Alexi Bonneau and Dario Accardi, she thinks that she's made a mistake that could cost her reputation.

However, in trying to decipher her attraction while denying her skills, Sera uncovers a secret through the ghost of a past student and fellow matchmaker: the ability to pair soulmates is rarer than she thought, and the college is working to study the blood that can predict the future of relationships. As Sera, Alexi, and Dario find themselves in the middle of a love affair, feigned death records, and an appalling research trial of what it means to have humanity, they must search out the truth before Sera loses everything... including maybe even her life.

I really liked this one!🙌🏻

In the beginning I didn’t really connect with Sera to be honest. She felt detached and cold, but I soon realised she felt that way, because this was how Rhys made her feel. (God, it feels so bad writing this, because of Rhys from Acotar lol🤣)

Rhys wasn’t good for her, so Sera detached from her emotions to kind of endure him, but with Alexi and Dario in the picture Sera felt different – also to be as the reader. She felt warmer and kinder and much more herself. That’s when I started to really connect to her.

I went into the book almost blind, so I didn’t really know what to expect and I especially didn’t expect Dario after already having met Alexi, but I LOVED it!!😍

#InFlames is so much more than a love story though. It is a mystery with magic and soulmates and evil men and abilities that can’t really be explained. It also gives off vibes of a magical treasure hunt, even though the treasure is in fact not a treasure, but rather a dark secret, that could potentially be very dangerous for Sera.😨
The book was interesting, entertaining and whimsical.
The characters were honest and sweet and kind and there certainly was emotion, too.

There were a few parts that were a little confusing to me. For example, I never really figured out what time or world the story was set in. I had a feeling the setting was to show our world, but in the far future, but some things made that kind of place and time feel wrong. Honestly, I cannot really describe it, but overall I enjoyed the story a lot and I was able to put that confusion behind me for the most part as well.🥰

I received eARC to review the book and it's my honest review.

4-⭐⭐⭐⭐
3-🌶️

- Fated Mates
- Medical students
- MMF/ Polyamory
- Mysteries and secrets
- HEA

When Seraphina Fox comes to the Kestral Medical College to pursue her medical degree and wants to be close to her father's field 'cause he disappeared. What she didn't except was to find her soulmates, being love matchmaker herself. Not one, but TWO soulmates she got! It's like meeting an inevitable and turning impossible to possible!

Alexi is a cool as a cucumber whereas Dario is a hot as a hotdogs. Yummy! All three together wants to find out how an extra mate is possible and there might be a answer to their questions. Only to find out some mystery that has been in the castle only gods knew how long. As they dig deeper and deeper, many secrets and murder unfolds that shook their core.

I loved and enjoyed the plot because why not? It got fated mates, love triangle without have to choose one, mystery murder and plot twists. Woah, that creepy bathroom scene. *shudders*

Ohh gods, the TWISTS!!! I still can't believe them but anyways, the spice which was soo good. Loll, I want to read it again.

Though it's from Sera POV, i think it would've been good to know from Alexi and Dario here and there 'cause we could get to know how they feel about the bonds and how they actually feel all that happened around them!

I wish this book has a sequel but a complete standalone with a page-turning chapters and HEA.

Definitely recommending to those who want a nice love triangle and fated mates with enough creepiness to read the story in spooky season.

Delightfully steamy, but also heartfelt and romantic, but also an engaging mystery!

When I jumped into In Flames, I fell in love with the world through Sera's eyes, and all of the interesting lore presented at this cool magic school. Then I had the privilege of falling in love with Alexi, and then Dario, and the three of them together because this is the kind of rep that the bi/pan community so desperately needs!

I am so all-in on how these three so fluidly were okay with their sexuality--the fact that they matched as a triad of soulmates is something investigated, but not once is it 'weird' that they're poly or that Dario and Alexi are as invested in each other as they are with Sera nor is it a plot point at all. This is the kind of rep that I crave in romance and fiction in general, people being allowed to be whatever gender or sexuality they want without it having to be a part of the plot. So much love for this!

So I was happily munching away on that, and then got caught up in a fabulous mystery story and was all-in on figuring that out, too! This book brought so much to the table and kept me just glued to it. It's got all the romance and spice and everything nice, but is also a solid mystery in a magical school setting and all of those things together have crafted something that I cannot WAIT to hold in my hands when it releases! I can't recommend this book enough!

I received an advanced copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily.

IN FLAMES started out interesting but it had zero world-building and I had no idea what kind of setting this was. There was a brief reference to "ancient hockey" which makes me think this is an altered world but nothing is explained. Additionally, the writing style was getting a bit flowery, which I just don't enjoy, Dario's character shifted from grumpy to a total marshmallow, and there were some inconsistency issues like references to conversations that hadn't actually happened.

I received an ARC of In Flames and in return this is my honest review.

5/5 Stars.

Seraphina Fox knows blood, love, and fire more than anything, until one day the universe decides to through her a curve ball that has her questioning whether or not she truly knows blood, love and fire the way she always thought she did.

In this tumultuous stand alone novel (though I’m bugging the author for more on these characters), we met Seraphina, Dario and Alexi who are on a path to find the truth—as they search for it they stumble into one another. Together these three over come obstacles that, in the end, bring this novel full circle.

This novel consists of 26 page turning chapters that has you not only wanting more but also going “Nicole!!!” (The author) throughout the story. This adventurous, steamy novel was addicting and thoroughly entertaining. One of the few novels I’ve given 5/5 this year.

The only downside?? Seraphina, Dario and Alexi do not return for more adventures concerning love, blood and fire.

I know we’re all into fated mates, but what about fated triads? 👀 I loved the relationship between Seraphina, Alexi, and Dario! I loved that the affection and dedication wasn’t imbalanced in someone’s favor. Shout out to Nicole for not skimping out on the details 👀😂 I was so fascinated by the idea of Kestral Medical College and their powers. If we revisit this world, I’d love to explore more. You don’t want to miss out on this book! It’s equal parts romance, paranormal shenanigans, and mystery. Go grab your copy today and go give Nicole some love! 🖤

I was actually surprised by how much I liked this book! This was the first book with a polyamory plotline that I actually enjoyed reading. It was quick-paced and well-written, and I devoured it in one sitting. My only complaint is at times the writing seemed a bit repetitive, but it didn't take away from the pleasure of reading. The magic system was so unique, and I loved the modern university setting. All in all, such a fun read! Thank you so much to the author for giving me access to this ARC!

I’ve received an ARC for my honest review.
“Two kisses on my forehead- one rough, one soft - before my door opens and shuts, encasing me in the dark and the leftover scent of the two men I’m falling for.” And then you are on a roller coaster ride - all the mystery happens. Hang on to your seats because the curves that come next will have you wanting more!! I don’t think I was ready for the mystery in this book or that ending! I have gone through so many emotions in this book. I’ve fallen in love with the characters, been curious as to what becomes of them, even scared for them. A short read that has me wanting more!

Seraphina Fox darling I wanna be you😍 I received an E-ARC of In Flames by Nicole Northwood in exchange for an honest review, so, here it is. 5/5 stars.

-Polyamory
-Fated Mates
-college aged students

This book was enticing from start to finish, I found myself completely immersed in Sera’s world, the rare college matchmaker, having 2 fated mates, talking to ghosts, living in the dorm next door to both her mates. Thank you so much Nicole for writing this novel, it was absolutely lovely, your book deserves to be published everywhere ❤️

Interesting plot, not so great execution. The whole thing was rather choppy and needed editing. I enjoyed all the mystery aspects of the storyline but wished we got to stay in those mystery moments and that the suspense and intrigue was really built up. It was like you just got a little taste of everything but nothing went very deep.

After the disappearance of her father, Seraphina delays her start in college in order to help look and deal with the stress of her missing father. Arriving in the winter semester, she hopes being in the medical field will bring her closer to her father. Not long after her arrival, she discovers she’s fated to be with two of her dorm mates. Worry sets in as the trio uncovers a dark history and wonder if their match was a mistake.

I enjoyed this novel. It was a fun read that is definitely reading more for the smut rather than the plot. The romance is the main aspect to this novel, which I didn’t hate, and when the plot was sprinkled in, it was an amazing read. At times, the timeline dragged that didn’t go anywhere. It’s also weird that we only meet a minimal amount of characters still on campus for Christmas break, so it made it seem like there was no one else in this world and our characters were the only ones around.

Despite my feelings around some elements of the book, I wasn’t disappointed. I came into this expecting a romance, and that’s what I got with small plot sprinkled in.

A page-turning mystery. Squishable mains. A love triangle that's not really a love triangle?

Sera, Alexi, and Dario must navigate two thorny conundrums: how to sustain a polyamorous relationship, and how to convince a sceptical world that this relationship is legitimate and celestially ordained. Their endeavour to pursue the latter eventually puts them on the trail of a mystery which threatens their newfound love… I offer a longer review on Medium (un-paywalled link).

I received an advanced review copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

In Flames starts off very strong, with Sera and Alexis' first encounter. The banter between these two characters pulls you in immediately, and then you're in for a wild ride.
Alexis made me giddy from the start, but Dario stole my heart later on in the book. I dare say he became my favorite character. At one point, Sera says: "Dario’s question has more depth than I would have expected from him, though I’m coming to realize that his still waters run deep." -That's a fantastic characterization and I think is the reason why he caught my attention.
This brings me to my next point: the quotes. Nicole's writing is phenomenal. It's vivid, passionate, and captivating. I got some beautiful quotes from this book.
The plot is really good! Our characters stumble upon their school's dark secrets when researching the unlikeliness of their match, and from then, a gripping mystery unfolds. I really liked how fast they solved the little clues. They're med students, they're supposed to be smart, and it would have been a disservice to have them spend forever on a riddle we as readers find glaringly obvious. That said, the ending felt a bit incomplete, which is why I'm hoping the author has a sequel in store for us.
The basis of a healthy relationship is communication, especially in poly relationships, and I love that we got to see plenty of it in this novel. There were discussions on boundaries as well, which was lovely to see. The romance was definitely my favorite part of the book, both in terms of steam (😉) and just them interacting with each other in general!
I will say that sometimes I had trouble relating to the way the characters thought or acted and sometimes even found it frustrating, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. We all react differently to struggles and I think it would be unfair of me to judge how other people cope. I tried my best to understand where they were coming from, even if I didn't agree.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I'd love to see more from these characters! Give it a try, I don't think you'll regret it.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of In Flames in return for an honest review.

The book opens with Sera telling us, "I am attuned to three things: blood, fire, and love", and this book delivers on all three.

Sera is a sorceress with a rare gift for predicting love matches, and when she goes to college—a magical medical school—she meets her own celestial matches. But nothing is as she expected. Instead of one partner, she's matched with two men, and they matched with each other as well as her. And the college itself holds darker secrets, secrets of blood and murder. Sera and her partners need to fight for their match to survive.

This book is in the best tradition of magical dark academia. Imagine a grown-up, poly Harry Potter. A sexy Ninth House. I'd originally been quizzical about the idea of a matchmaking sorceress, but I loved the worldbuilding of a sex-positive culture where love is considered divinely inspired. The world exists at an intersection of magic and technology, where sorcerers text each other on their phones and hockey fans are kept magically warm in the arena stands. Then, of course, the mystery calls into question the entire society which built this so-called school of healing. It's a delightful play on a familiar genre, and I was left hoping for a sequel where I could see something of the world outside the school.

"But I’ll burn for you, Seraphina. I’ll burn for you if you ask me to."

Then there's the romance plotline, which is sizzlingly hot. There is a reason this book is called In Flames. Do not read this book in a drought or you might be accused of arson. I adored Seri, Alexi, and Dario, and it was pure delight to have a novel where no one had to choose between love interests in a love triangle. I will avoid spoilers, but I'll leave you with two words to end this review: hot chocolate.

I am not a fantasy reader, mainly because I get confused pretty often and have to reread over and over again to understand things. 😅 However, this is such a modern supernatural take with small amounts of magic that I was able to follow along easily! If you’re new to fantasy and wanting to test the elements, I’d definitely recommend this book! I loved the characters, loved the romance aspect (MMF with a good amount of spice), and loved that it had a plot that was mysterious and kept my attention while reading.

Seraphina Fox is a rare matchmaker. She is able to match soulmates, predict relationships, and even divorces. Sera has predicted many in her time, but she has yet to find her own match- until Rhys (a guy who has kept her bed and body warm for years) leaves her dormitory in the middle of the night. It’s then she discovers her new dorm neighbor, Alexi, standing outside of his door. From their conversation and proximity, Sera has no doubt that he is her soulmate. And Alexi feels it too. After hers and Alexi’s discovery, the ghost of Lavender, a matchmaker from the past, shows up with concerns about what is happening at Kestral Medical College and what might be in store for Sera. Putting this concern out of her mind for the time being, she decides to take Alexi up on his offer and attends one of his hockey games. It’s there where they discover that not only are they matched together- but Dario, another hockey player, is also matched with them. While the three matches try to learn more about themselves and whether their match is true or a mistake, they’re taken on an adventure with clues left from Lavender to find out what this all means.

What they discover is shocking and laced with betrayal and secrets.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ *˖✧𝓢𝖕𝖔𝖎𝖑𝖊𝖗 𝕱𝖗𝖊𝖊 ✧˖*

♥︎ As this is an Arc I kindly received from the author, I want to thank them for letting me read and review this baby !

♡𝅼 Well if I could resume this book with a word it'd be "HOT" like seriously I haven't read smut that great in quite some time now, and I enjoyed it so much ! This book is pure fantasy and late nights read ! If you've never liked deciding between the brunette and blond love interest, then just don't and pick up this book lmao !

✦ The MC is nice and sassy, I like her because she's far from being naive and seems to have morals. She's so relatable like seriously you'd probably just enter this world without any problem through her and god what a life ! I wish I was her ! Both love interests are so hot and interesting, I'm not the type to reject a love triangle, and this one is the loved hot vs cold classical that anyone into this trope will appreciate.

★ The fact that this is all happening in a universe where they have powers makes it even more interesting and enjoyable to read ! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I would have liked a bit of a slower pace in the beginning, but honestly it's not that unpleasant ! It was hilarious at times, and I loved the ego battles between the trio ! The story is quite nice and even if I can't go into too many details as to not spoil anything, I really think anyone could enjoy this one ! Seriously, just pick it up and try it ! You won't be disappointed, I promise <3

“𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈.”

Seraphina is a matchmaker and has been waiting for what feels like a long time to meet her own soulmate. But things get messy when she matches with not one but two soulmates: Alexi and Dario.
_____________________________________________

I loved so much about this. The characters the author created were well thought out and had a lot of depth to them. The romance between Sera, Alexi, and Dario was hot and tangible. I love that the dynamic was healthy and not toxic. It was refreshing to see a healthy, no jealousy, plot for a throuple. Which is great because I was starting to think it was impossible to have a healthy throuple.

The spice wasn’t incredibly heavy, there is only two really heated moments for me. That could have been turned up a notch for my taste but that’s a personal preference and it didn’t take away how much I loved these characters. I was bought in to them regardless.

I thought the actual plot was very interesting. I didn’t know what was going to happen, it wasn’t overly predictable. What I felt was missing was a little depth and detail in the world building.

I wanted to understand the magic better. I wanted to know how the world operates. Did it all function with magic? Did everyone have magic? Was it known? Are there others besides magic users?

Overall, I enjoyed this. I would definitely read more of it, if it’ll be a series. I do hope to learn more about the actual universe they are set in. But otherwise, this was a great read.

I received an arc thanks to Midnight Tours and I’m giving an honest review for it.

OMG!!!! This book was HOTTT!!!!🥵🥵🥵 I can't begin to put into words how much I enjoyed this book. Seriously. Nicole Northwood wrote a fantastic fantasy romance book. The characters in this book Seraphina Fox is such a good FMC, a matchmaker in college who is able to pair soulmates or to tell pairs that they are going to get divorced. She's convinced she will never meet her soulmate until she bumps into her next door neighbor Alexi Bonneau. As soon as she's sees him, she knows that he's her soulmate. Low and behold right after meeting Alexi, she bumps into his hockey teammate Dario Accardi and realizes she and Alexi are mated to him as well. No one has ever been mated to two people before, so now Sera must know if she is mistaken somehow. So Sera, Alexi, and Dario must find any and everything on soulmates and matchmakers but then they find out something is going on at the college and it's not something good!!

This book while it's a fantasy romance, it was full of suspense, mystery, murder. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. There was so many plot twists and mystery that I just had to turn the page until everything was revealed. I hope there is going to be a book 2 because I think the author left the ending open for more. I really loved these characters and I hope I get to read more of their story.

Thank you to @nicolenorthwood and @midnight_booktours for my arc copy of In Flames for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

10/10 highly recommend

I have received an ARC copy in return for my honest opinion. In Flames is a Supernatural book with a love triangle. When I read the synapsis for this book, I knew I was going to love it! I am super big on witchy books, even though this isn’t necessarily a witch book, it does go towards magic in the authors own mind. I feel that the powers she gives the characters are so unique its very cool to read. I think the matchmaker magic is very unique, I have never read a book quiet like this one.
I love that this book is set in the winter. Nicole Northwood does a great job with adding small effects of the winter scenery. I enjoyed learning that you can have more than one soulmate, but if you do then the other two love each other as well. The only thing I disliked about this book and the fact that they are in a triple relationship is that the sex scenes were very detailed. I know some people love spicy books, but if she would have kept it out then younger kids could have read this book too. I am also, just not a fan of heavily sex related books. But if you are then this book is 100% for you!
Apart from the few sex scenes, I over all feel this book deserves a solid 3.8 stars. The author is super good at painting the picture. The whole time I was reading the book it felt like I was watching a movie and that is exactly the kind of books that steal my attention away from everything. I would definitely recommend this book to older young adult readers maybe 15+.

In Flames is a fast-paced fantasy romance that follows matchmaker Seraphina, who matches with two soulmates and sets out to discover the history of matchmaking and finds herself pulled into more than what she bargained for.

I enjoyed it a lot! It was a refreshing to read about characters in a magic school that was graduate level, rather than the typical YA magic boarding school type stories that are always popular. While there are some peaks into the school itself, and some mysteries that have to do with the school, this book isn't overly academia heavy, so don't go into this expecting that type of story.

I really liked seeing the way Seraphina, Alexi, and Dario developed over the course of the story! It is quite fast-paced and it is definitely a quick burn with a healthy dose of insta-lust (and borderline insta-love), but I enjoy both of those things and they make enough sense considering it's about a matchmaker and her soulmates! I loved seeing the way that their relationship developed-not only as a triad, but also as their own duos, and it was cool to watch each of them fall for each other in different ways! I also liked that, although the three of them matching is a source of conflict, it's almost entirely a conflict born out of those types of matches being unheard of rather than a conflict over "pick me or him" or something similar!

The ending of this story had me flying through it, eager to see how it unfolded and holding my breath for a portion of it, but I loved it so much. I hope I get to see more of this school and its mysteries, and I won't say no to more of Sera, Alexi, and Dario!

Huge thanks to the author, publisher, and BookSirens for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review!

I'm giving 2 stars because of the smut. It read like a children's novel with adult themes. I got 70% of the way through before I had to stop.

[SPOILERS]

I felt like the relationship was very Sera-centric. The relationship I was expecting was a poly circle. Usually I would just go along with it as my expectations do not always equal the author's intent. However, I genuinely think the author was trying to make it a balanced throuple.

It falls extremely flat when Alexi's wishes for the relationship are ignored throughout the entire story. The man clearly states (multiple times) that he does not wish for them to look into the validity of the relationship. However, instead of listening to him and properly discussing... Dario and Sera deliberately go behind Alexi's back to pursue anyway. Then get upset at Alexi for being upset and needing space.

Alexi came back and APOLOGIZED for not understanding Sera's needs and for being a AH.

Them accepting the apology was the final straw for me. I couldn't do it anymore.

I appreciate the option to read a poly romance but it honestly felt more like fetish for bi mmf sex with the focus on the fem.

I'm hoping that the content will improve with time. There were definitely good ideas but the delivery could develop some more.

Hiding the her true ability, Seraphina heads off to college in hopes of becoming closer with her dad in the medical field. His disappearance has left a hole and a need to find him within her.

Soon after arriving for the winter season she matches with not one but two of her dorm mates and soon a dark history begins uncurling at their feet.

Is the thought of a mis-match enough to rip them apart? Or is love stronger than the fear of their match being untrue.

While I enjoyed the plot I wish there was more in depth information about both characters. It felt like the timeline dragged on and all the information fit into it didn’t amount to much.

Where are all the teachers ? I understand it’s campus around Christmas but there was no dialogue between any other characters and felt very isolating.

With that being said, none of the characters stood out to me, I didn’t relate well with any of them and like I said do wish there was more detail overall in the storyline.

The plot itself is good, I enjoyed the creativity with getting to her dad but in the end felt like it fell short.

I did receive an advanced reader copy and am leaving my review voluntarily.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest and willing review.

Seraphina Fox is a matchmaker. All she knows is love, fire, and blood. Or does she? She’s all but given up on finding her match. She passes her time with Rhys, who she’s known for some time. However, during her first night at school, she meets Alexi (in a somewhat compromising decision). And he turns out to be her match… or one of her matches.

While speaking with a ghost in the bathroom, someone begins yelling at her to be quiet as it’s after dark. Alexi assists her in getting them to be quiet, but during one of Alexi’s hockey games, she finds out that, Dario (the person yelling at her to be quiet) is her other match. How is this possible? Matches are generally 1-1!

Through mystery, action, and adventure, they follow this match to the end.

Nicole does a great job writing this book and I enjoyed being able to read an early copy.

My only point is that I don’t think this type of fantasy is for me. It’s a great story, the characters are enjoyable to read, but I had a hard time finishing it.

This new standalone from Nicole Northwood delivers everything it it’s blurb promises! She spends time developing her characters so well that you latch on to them like you’re back to your very first day of school and holding your best friends hand so you step through the gates. I’m not huge on supernatural/paranormal stories, they aren’t going to be my top pick off the shelf but Nicole’s writing brings me back time and time again.

The plot of In Flames is well written. There’s fated mates, twists & turns and even a love triangle and it’s all delivered correctly. Once you start turning pages you aren’t going to want to stop. Seraphina shares the story through her POV as she attends Kestral Medical Center to pursue a medical degree. She lucky enough to discover her mate with a little added twist.

I would NOT be opposed if additional books followed in the future although I believe this book to be a standalone for the foreseeable future.

“𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲,”

Nothing quite grabs the attention of a spicy reader like starting a book with a spicy scene. I was mesmerized by this unique and original book for the first third of it. I loved the fated mates, love triangle that wasn’t a triangle, and all the spice. I want to rate this one five ⭐️ but I felt like the relationships and spice were the focus in the first half of the book and then most of the plot and mystery was in the second half. While I loved the plot/mystery too, I needed it to feel like it was equal plot and spice all the way through.

“𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮. 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼.”

To summarize, I really liked the plot, the characters, the supernatural world, the spice, and the “I’ll burn for you” vibes in this one. I truly did enjoy it!

Thank you @midnight_booktours for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review. ✨

This was a magical ride with twists and turns I never saw coming!

Sera, Dario, and Alexi are all connected to each other through a special bond. I liked that all three of them valued the relationship they help with the others instead of this being solely focused on two people being obsessed with one (there’s nothing wrong with that at all but I appreciated the new take).

This storyline was not was I was expecting in the best way. There was so much to focus on that this book had me grilling the edge of my seat. I liked that there was more to the story than just the development of the bond between characters and instead looked to how prior encounters were more significant than anticipated.

Overall, I loved each of the characters in their own way and the relationship they had with one another. I liked that the storyline was not predictable and left you wondering who was responsible. If you want a sweet, suspenseful, heart- gripping read, this is for you!

Welcome to Kestral Medical College where the magical elite learn how to use their various gifts for helping others. Serafina Fox is a Matchmaker an especially rare gift that gives her the ability to predict the romantic future of others. Being attuned to fire, blood and love is what helps Serafina see/feel the connections between others. After losing her Father and deciding to start Kestral during the Holidays to avoid her feelings she meets her neighbors Alexi and Dario. The story that follows is full of magic, love, loss, mystery, intrigue and danger.
Nicole has a fantastic ability to create these intricate, magical worlds where so much more is possible and the mystery sucks you in and keeps you on edge the entire time.

WOW. WOW. WOW. I picked this up two days ago and thought I wouldn’t finish it in time for pub day but this book gripped me and I couldn’t put it down!

I’ve never read a story quite like this one. A story about Seraphina Fox, a medical student and matchmaker at Kestral Medical College for the Supernatural, who matches with not one but two men. This follows their story to figure out if the match is a mistake and they find all sorts of 🔥STEAM, mystery, and trouble on their way to finding their answers. Such a unique storyline, the plot kept me hooked and I loved every single character!

I loved this book and can now only beg Nicole for more! I want more of all of it! The students, the school, the mysteries and definitely more of that smut! 🤤
