The good news: my artificial insemination was successful.
The bad news: the clinic used the wrong donor ...

All I ever wanted was to be a writer. I agreed to be a surrogate mother using my own eggs and all of my living expenses would be paid while I finish my book. Nine months with nothing to do but write!

Only the deal fell through when the top clinic in town used the wrong sperm. Now they want to fix the “mistake” and pay me to end the pregnancy and save the clinic’s reputation.
No way! Unplanned doesn’t mean unloved.
The accidental donor is none other than the head of the clinic himself, young, rich, and icily attractive – with no plans of being a father. His charm offensive to get me to give up the baby backfires and sparks begin to fly between us. We just might be able to make this work.
But his powerful billionaire family is not on board. They don’t want a nobody like me raising their baby. And they’ll stop at nothing to prevent that from happening.

Ivy Martin agrees to be a surrogate for friends when her friend cannot conceive a child and they use The Anderson Fertility Clinic. They used her eggs, but the husband's sperm. But something went wrong at the clinic and Ivy was given the wrong father’s sperm. She was given Dr. Alec Andersons. Ivy was getting her expenses paid for by her friends in order that she could live her life’s dream of becoming an author and having her first book published. Never did she think she would become the mother. When she gets the call from the clinic about the mix up her life was changed forever. And her involvement with Alec Anderson is something she never saw coming. There instant attraction to each other set them off on a course where they could not keep their hands off each other and every time they got together the sex was explosive. Ivy did not see a long-term relationship outside of having Alec co-parent with Ivy. There are some hurdles in the way of that, first his mother, who does not think Ivy is good enough to raise and Anderson and Ivy is falling in love with Alec and she does not know if he can reciprocate the feelings.

There are lots of misunderstandings in the book that make for a good story. I love Ivy and how protective she becomes of the baby she thought she would be giving to her friends, and Alec would do anything to protect the clinic and its reputation. Like most who run a business he saw it from a monetary view and not an emotional one. That soon changed when Ivy became more than just the woman who carrying his child. I liked this story very much and it is a subject that is not used a lot in books, so it was kind of refreshing to read it.

I was given this book for my honest opinion from Booksprout.

It had to be hard being a new author trying to get her book published, but Ivy was determined. Since she needed money coming in to write the book, she agreed to be a surrogate for some friends. Unfortunately they had to use her egg, and mistakenly Alec’s sample was used to fertilize it, not the couples. Alec being one of the owner’s at the fertility clinic! After much discussion and determination Ivy decided she wanted to have a baby. Ivy’s roommate, Peter, was so nice at first. Later on in the book I didn’t like him. It was funny how a confirmed bachelor like Alex wasn’t going to get married or have children was now looking at being a father. I enjoyed watching the two get to know each other better, but the one thing they forgot was to communicate with each other and caused problems. If you like a lot of bedroom scenes and tension between two people, this book is for you. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Alec and Ivy . . .

This is a complicated story when an error causes chaos in various lives. Ivy agreed to be a surrogate mother for a couple. They would pay her expenses and she could use the time to finish writing her book. But the clinic realized a mistake had been made and sperm that was intended to be destroyed was accidentally used. The donor was actually from the owner of the clinic, Alec Anderson. Their solution to “fix” the mistake was met with immediate resistance as Ivy refused to terminate the pregnancy. Despite pressure from the donor’s wealthy family, will Alec begin to accept the idea of being a father? Are they willing to become a real couple?

I’m not sure why this book has gotten such good reviews. The storyline has potential but the execution wasn’t good. The timeline was a mess with her having the fastest pregnancy on earth! The angst with the H’s parents and the h’s best friend were OTT. Sadly, the sex scenes were basically the same over and over and over again. Much skimming to get to the lackluster end.

I liked the premise of the story. We’ve all heard of boo-boos at a fertility clinic well this one is a dozy. Alex Anderson and his 2 brothers run the hospital his parents founded. Somehow after sitting in storage for years Alex’s sperm gets put into a patient. Whoops! Quickly, hoping to bury this accident, they offer to terminate this very early pregnancy. Said patient Ivy refuses to terminate because she believes even this early it’s a life and maybe she should embrace this new direction her life is taking. Alex is applauded! Ivy is beautiful but POOR! Ivy has no job because she is focusing on her dream of a writing career. AND…Alex doesn’t want children, at all, ever.
Alex and Ivy waiver between “it’ll be ok” to “I think you’re trying to ruin me and my clinic”. I didn’t care for Alex’s interfering mom & dad. They are malicious snobs. Alex’s brothers and Ivy’s sister and parents are pretty awesome though.
Throughout the entire story, Alex and Ivy vacillate from not trusting the other, thinking the other is tricking them…too… being madly in like, lust, love. Neither trusts the other and they don’t communicate well. But they are trying and both are excited about welcoming a baby.
We have waited through the entire story for the baby to come and the end is like… and the baby’ boy is born, THE END?? WHAT! What's the baby’s name! I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout. I am leaving my honest review because I review everything. Linda

It’s fate, destined, meant to be - if only they listen to their hearts
In Doctor Handsome by Sarah J. Brooks, Alec and Ivy are an unlikely pair. N fact, if it weren’t for fate or divine intervention, they never would have even met! And what a tragedy that would have been.
This romance is a constant back and forth, much like I imagine an epic tennis match. There’s a constant back and forth of will they, won’t they. Once they do, it’s a sort of down hill spiral. What I love about this couple’s story is that what is initially considered an egregious mistake becomes a blessing. Ivy is fierce when dealing with the clueless, mechanical and cold Alec. Acceptance of their unexpected and unusual impending parenthood begins to thaw Alec, giving themselves a chance to work together, get to know one another and experience their miraculous, mistake pregnancy.
It’s not all hearts and flowers though. Communication is spotty at best and there are antagonists at work against them. Alec is often clueless and clumsy, but heartfelt when asking for forgiveness.
Overall, despite all the odds, Ivy and Alec as a couple and soon-to-be parents work beautifully and embark on a beautiful and promising HEA.

Doctor Handsome. This book was great! I enjoyed reading this story about a big mistake that changed the life of several people forever. The characters are interesting and have to deal with a lot of misunderstandings and drama brought about by family members that think they know what's best.

Ivy is an aspiring new writer working on her first book. To pay her way, she decides to become a surrogate mother to her friends who cannot have children. They use Ivy's eggs and her friend's husband's sperm. Once pregnant and everyone is excited about the baby they discover a mistake has been made. It was not Ivy's friend's sperm used to get her pregnant. She founds out that it is the doctor of the clinic's sperm. Dr. Alec Anderson is infuriated about the situation and asks Ivy to terminate the pregnancy. She refuses and decides to have the baby. Ivy and Alec begin to share time together and Alec starts to feel a responsibility toward the child. But they are plagued with the issues from their family and friends. This story is unique and quite interesting. A must read book!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review of this book. Turning An Oops Into Forever -
Ivy was really overwhelmed with the predicament she found herself in, so she was really upset when Alec came to see her and tried to get her to acquiesce to his request. However, everything changed once they spent time together getting to know each other. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with their relationship and just as they settle into a life of blissful existence, a bomb is dropped, which nearly cost them their happily ever after.

You know the feeling you get in the last few minutes of the Super Bowl, when you are on the edge of your seat, waiting to see if your team will score a final touchdown. That is how I felt, as I turned the pages of this totally awesome book. The storyline took me on one heck of a rollercoaster ride and left me wanting everyone to enjoy the experience of reading this book.

This book is crazy and fun to read. Ivy is sweet, fun, loving, and dedicated to making her dream of writing into a reality. Ivy is so dedicated to her dream that she agrees to become a surrogate for friends of her family so she can make a little money while writing full time. Alec and his brothers own the fertility clinic that Ivy was impregnated at but the two don’t meet until later. Ivy and Alec meet because of a huge mixup at the clinic where she was given the wrong sperm. Their story will take you on a wild ride where the both of them have to learn that first impressions are not always accurate and that communication is very important. The banter is fun and flirty and the chemistry between the two is magical. This story will have you loving Ivy or Alec one minute and then angry at them the next. You will get pulled into their world and feel like you are on an adventure with friends.

Ivy is an aspiring author, who agrees to become a surrogate by artificial insemination, using her own eggs, for her friends who are unable to have children. All goes well until the clinic informs her that the wrong donor’s sperm was used, and she needs to come in to discuss her options. Ivy is determined to keep the baby, and Alec, who is wealthy, and sexy, is furious that his sperm was used, and insists she has a termination, which she refuses. The sparks fly between these two, and they become closer the more time spent together, but will Alec’s meddling family end their relationship? This is a well written story which is emotionally charged, with family, romance, friendships, twists, chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

ivy was going to be a surrogate for her friends and have a baby they wanted. However, nothing goes according to plan. The Anderson Fertility Clinic calls her because there was a mix up and she didn't receive the right donor sperm. They wanted her to come in to talk about her options. For Ivy there were no options she was keeping the baby. Alec is one of the Anderson sons working at the clinic and its his sample that Ivy got. At first he wants this terminated but after meeting Ivy everything changes for him. Will they have a chance to raise their child together? Can they find their happy ending?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I loved this book. It was a unique storyline that draws you in from the start. Ivy has agreed to be a surrogate (and donate one of her eggs to be used along with the fathers sperm) which will allow her to finish writing her first novel. A couple of weeks after finding out that the procedure worked and she is pregnant, the clinic contacts her to let her know there was a mistake and the wrong sperm donor was used. Now the baby is hers, and she decides to keep it. Alec, who is a doctor at the fertility clinic that he and his family own meets with Ivy in hopes of convincing her to terminate the pregnancy. And when she refuses, he lets it slip that he is the donor. When he realizes that she is going to have his baby, he decides that he wants to be in its life. And they start to develop a friendship. But the road ahead of them isn’t easy.

When Ivy agrees to be a surrogate for a couple, she gets some disturbing news. In fact, she is impregnated with the wrong sperm and needless to say the couple is off the hook for wanting the baby Ivy is carrying. When Alec finds out that it was his sperm that was accidentally used, he is livid. What ensues next is Alec and Ivy going back and forward about the baby. When he finally comes to terms with Ivy having it. Their lives take on several twists and turns that have them questioning if the other is truthful. Will Alec and Ivy come to terms with each other, and will it lead them to a happily ever after?

This book was incredibly sweet and super spicy. I loved how the characters embraced the circumstance they were thrown into. You had a sprinkling of pretty believable drama. Alec and and Ivy both slowly grow to love one another. Ivy is working on becoming a published writer. She has also decided to be a surrogate to a dear friend of hers. Only there is a mixup at the fertility clinic and she's carrying a baby part hers and someone else's. Alec is a fertility surgeon and does not want kids. Only he finds out that a sample of his sperm has gotten a woman pregnant and he is not happy. At least not until he meets Ivy. This book is an amazing read. The spice is definitely very great and there is quite a bit of it.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Ivy Martin and Alec Anderson. Ivy has agreed to be a surrogate for some friends. The only problem is the wife's eggs aren't viable so they need to use Ivy's. Once she confirms that she is now pregnant she thinks it is all a go until something happens she never expected. Alec was just supposed to be part of a trial for the clinic not the man who fathered the child. Well that is what happens when the clinic accidentally gets Ivy pregnant with Alec's child. Can they find a HEA or will it be too many mistakes and lies that will end them forever?

Amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

That's quite a mistake!

I always enjoy stories where two people who couldn't be more different find happiness! This was an interesting scenario with the surprise father and a woman who didn't think she wanted a child of her own. I loved Alec's brothers and Ivy's sister Molly, who had a little side story of her own. I got a little restless during some of the later love scenes because I was in a hurry to find out how the story line was going to progress! It was well worth the effort to get to the ending though!.

What happens when you try to do the right thing and help some friends and a huge mistake happens instead? You roll with it. Ivy and Alec are complete opposites who find themselves bound together by this one small mistake. Alec is arrogant, bullheaded and no match for Ivy. She’s beautiful, fun and headstrong and they are realizing that maybe their situation isn’t so bad together, but there is one tiny factor, her roomy Peter who is in love with her and will do just about anything to keep her away from Alec. How far will Peter go to keep Ivy? Will Ivy and Alec be able to see past their insecurities to see what’s in front of them? I found this book on BookSprout.

This is story that has twist and turns that will have you taking a step back. WOW.

Ivy chooses to help her friend and husband by being their surrogate in exchange for living expense, which will help her follow her dream as a writer. When a mix up at the clinic takes a happy event and turns it in to one of choices that lead her on a different path than she ever expected.

Alec owns the clinic and is the doctor that Ivy went to, when his sample was used instead of Ivy's friend's husband, this future he never saw, exploded with his connection with Ivy.

Grab a drink, this is one for the books.

An enjoyable romance read.

What started as helping a couple at the same time as fulfilling her dream becomes complicated when their was a mix up that will change the path of her life. Ivy agreed to be a surrogate and everything was on track until she got news that it was Alec Anderson sperm that she got instead of Mike. What happens next was a journey of unexpected worlds colliding to make for an enjoyable romance story. I enjoyed the characters road to a forever that they had to work for but in the end everything played out to a HEA.

DOCTOR HANDSOME by Sarah J Brooks
This is a well written, lighthearted entertaining story of Alec and Ivy. An offer to be a surrogate for a close friend goes very awry, a fertility clinic that has been founded by a pair of doctors and ran by their three sons delivers an unexpected shock that turns into a blessing in disguise, as well as on fire chemistry between Alec and Ivy create an intriguing story. This is a 5 star story.

This was a wonderful story. There was lots of drama, pain, anger, passion and love. Ivy and Alec have so many difficulties to work through. Neither one wanted to have a baby and now they have to work through their feelings. I was so glad that Alec and Ivy worked out their feeling and found the love that was alway there between them but they were scared to admit it. Highly recommend.

When Ivy agrees to be a surrogate for a couple trying to have a baby, she never expects things to turn out the way they do. She thought she would take the time to finish her book, but everything changes when she gets the phone call from the fertility clinic. When she meets Alec she can't believe what he is asking but she is determined to do things on her own... This was a good read, definitely recommend.

Ivy's housemate at first glance is the best friend a gal can have but that is until Alec is forced into there lived and then all bets are off.

Sometimes date has a cruel twist but in this case it is bitter sweet as Cupid has the last laugh, absolutely captivating story line.

Although I would have loved to know what the Clark's did next, did they finally get there happy ever after?.

Another great story from this top ten author...
The story itself has been outlined in the blurb & covered in prior reviews so will just say that this was yet
another great page turner from Ms Brooks. Unique to me scenario but loved the heroiine & I eventually warmed to the hero. He went from aloof & only caring about the clinic's reputation to an amazing charming & super sexy lover, sigh! Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

When Ivy decided to become a surrogate for her friends she never expected an unplanned mistake to change her life forever. With all the twists and turns in this captivating story, I had a hard time putting this book down. I loved the storyline, the characters, and the back and forth baby banter between Ivy and Alec. This is a well written enemies to lovers romance with believable characters, and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Wer also ne schnelle cute Nummer sucht ist hier ganz richtig (inclusive spicy Szenen;).

DNF @ 18%

The premise of the book had so much potential, but fell so flat. It just jumps in, without any introduction to the characters, and the characters were both unbelievable and unrelated. Alec's POV has a caveman vibe...

Me Alec. You Ivy. Ivy pregnant. Get abortion. No? Ok, me dad now.

This was literally how it felt every single time you read his POV.

Ivy was just a whole other ball park...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
