Another sweet read from Jill, I loved this Christmas one as it had all the elements I love. The story was easy going and full of joy, most of the time. Highly recommend. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I very much enjoyed my return to Primrose Woods, but I don’t think this book was as good as the first one. This is because I didn’t think the relationships were as much as a novelty between all the characters, and their different dilemmas didn’t really grab me.

Continuing just a few weeks after the first book, I do think you benefit from reading this as a series because you already know the backstory between the different characters. In this way, it felt like I was returning to a familiar community and I looked forward to seeing what the writer would do with the people in this instalment. Reading this book, I thought I could spot potential plots for the next book in the series; I wonder if they will appear next year.

This time, Abbey and Sam face a bit of conflict when Sam’s past makes an appearance in their lives. It causes tension between the happy couple and reminds Abbey of her previous, failed engagement. On the other hand, Rhianna still holds a torch for Luke but he made it very clear in the last story that he would not want to pursue a relationship. This time, however, his actions seem to suggest otherwise. I actually started to feel quite cross on Rhianna’s behalf with all of these mixed feelings. Surely the man should know what he really wants? Finally, older character, Lizzie, has the surprise of her daughter returning from Australia. With her two young children in tow, Lizzie’s house is packed as she gets to spend some quality time with her grandchildren in the lead-up to Christmas.

All in all, each pairing of couples do face a bit of a test but, I don’t think the stories were as engaging. Instead, the story just felt like it was moving towards Christmas Day and the inevitable resolution of several dilemmas. There didn’t feel anything overly different from other novels set at Christmas and I was hoping the writer would have done something a bit different. Furthermore, it felt too predictable for my liking and I think this challenged my interest in the story.

Yes, there are some cute moments, such as when Lizzie’s granddaughter names a couple of animals. There is a good dumping of snow in the story and I enjoyed returning to see the elderly characters where Abbey works. But, I don’t think it was enough to create a refreshing story and I think I found myself frustrated that the book seemed to drag (when it really didn’t). The novel has all the qualities of a good Christmas read yet I think Steeples could have gone beyond these expectations just a little bit more.

Visit Primrose Woods for a guaranteed lovely story with romance, family and a dashing of snow too. This festive offering is ideal for December and will sure delight those looking for an easy bit of escapism from such a busy time of year.

With thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book and it has left me wanting more so it made me quite excited to realise that this was part of a series and there are other books in this setting. All of the characters are lovely and I want to know more about all of them! This book feels like we get little snippets into every couple rather than being centred on just one couple, however Lizzie has that feeling of mother hen and brings everyone together.

The sheer joy of little Rosie comes streaming off the pages and her excitement is part of what makes the book and Christmas so exciting, you just want to see her face light up and can clearly picture it when this happens. Especially when she visits the animals at Primrose Hall - I feel like we will see a lot more from this setting in the next books.... (I'm hoping so anyway)

I really liked the setting of Primrose Woods and could visualise it as a few places that I'd visited myself which bought it to life, the idea of there also being a mini Christmas tree farm in there was extra special though. The whole book just filled me with nostalgia and left me craving a slice of cake and giant hot chocolate from the Treetop Cafe.

As the title suggests we get a bit of snowfall in this, although not quite how everyone is expecting and it ends up with a rather unplanned but amazing sounding Christmas! I just loved how well everyone got on together and delivered such a sense of community friendship, especially with the pub quiz nights and the Christmas get togethers.

This was such a good book and I can't wait to read more from Jill in the future!

Ok, I really think I’m now ready to break out the tinsel and sparkly lights and welcome the approach of the festive season – if there was a scale of Christmasiness for books, I think this one really would have to be a ten. But it’s also a totally gorgeous story, quite beautifully told, with characters I entirely took to my heart.

Lizzie’s very happy in her new relationship with Bill, and enjoys the bustle of her job at Treetops Cafe as it gets ever busier while everyone picks up their Christmas trees at Primrose Woods. She thought she might really miss her daughter and her young family this Christmas, and has invited her friends to share the day – so it’s a lovely surprise when they turn up on her doorstep, back to stay from their home in Australia. Abbey and Sam are very happy together – she loves everything about Christmas, and is so looking forward to sharing it with the man she loves. While Sam returns from his outdoors job every day freshly smelling of wood and pine cones (my goodness, he’s gorgeous!), she manages a care home – the residents there are getting excited about the season and all the activities she’s laying on too, but she’s a little worried about the change in the home’s ownership and the changes it might bring. And then there’s Rhi, home from her travels, hoping to rekindle her relationship with Luke – she’s missed him tremendously and knows she made a big mistake by walking away – but is devastated when she finds he’s found a new job and plans to move away in the New Year.

This is just the loveliest multi-generational story, filled with romance and with a focus on family – there are some tensions and a little light conflict, but I felt in particularly safe hands as the different threads were developed, and really hoped that everyone would have their happy ending. The setting is wonderful – I’d love to get my boots on and walk with friends in Primrose Woods, rounding it all off with a hot chocolate and a spicy cake in the cafe – and even more so when the snow falls (there’s one little girl particularly delighted by that) and everyone’s Christmas plans are changed a little. All the characters are very real people, perfectly drawn – even the minor ones (I had a particularly soft spot for Bill – and loved Stella, at the home, keen to follow every twist and turn of Abbey’s romance) – and I really felt part of their lives and totally invested as things sometimes didn’t go quite the way they might have hoped for or expected. And the whole book really is quite gloriously Christmassy (just in case I haven’t mentioned that enough already…) and really glows with warmth, a real hug in a book – it totally captures the excitement and heightened emotions of the season, wrapping everything up in tinsel and lights.

This is the second book in a series – I’m really sorry I missed the first, I would have liked to have met the characters earlier, but the whole book read perfectly as a standalone. And I’m already rather looking forward to following everyone into the next book – I’m sure Primrose Woods will be equally beautiful in the sunshine. A really lovely read – and definitely recommended by me.

This is the second book in the Primrose Woods series by Jill Steeples though it can be read as a standalone, if, like me, you haven't yet picked up the first story, Starting Over at Primrose Woods.

Lizzie Baker opens her front door one Saturday morning in late November to find her daughter, Katy and her grandchildren standing on her step. Life in Australia isn’t what they thought it would be and they are moving back to the UK. Once Lizzie's over the shock she's delighted to see them and she's anticipating a great Christmas spending time with Bill. Abbey Carter works at Rushgrove Lodge for the Elderly and she and Sam, a senior ranger at Primrose Woods have a shock to overcome.

Lizzie works in the Treetops café in Primrose Woods. It was very enjoyable reading about the Christmassy delights she served the cafe customers, imagining myself there too, munching on a cranberry spiced muffin, brought to life by Jill Steeples's magical writing and descriptions. The author's characters come across as being real and as well as going back to instalment one, I will be keeping my eyes peeled for book three, Dreams Come True at Primrose Hall.

This review was written voluntarily and my rating was in no way influenced by the fact that I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel from Boldwood Books via NetGalley.

The same feeling of family and community continues in this second in the series and I really enjoyed the multi-generation aspect. There are several story strands. Lizzie and her family are looking to reunite around the festive time. Rhianna has worked out just who she would like to get closer to. Central to the story, we have Abbey and Sam whose relationship is moving on apace, although there one or two stumbles along the way.
This is a lovely setting with so many festive touches. Primrose Woods is a haven for nature so there is plenty of Christmas trees and festive greenery on show. As different story threads are woven together, you get a feel for the warm and inclusive relationships within the village. It is a lovely read for Christmas, such a comfort on a winter’s day. There is a real feeling of optimism, as different couples decide their futures.
In short: a warm, feelfood festive read

Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods is full of kindness and holiday cheer!

Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods is the second book in the Primrose Woods series, and fans of this series won’t be disappointed with the latest installment. I recommend reading the first book before starting this book because you may feel a little lost in this story if you don’t. Jill’s writing has this genuine feel to it. This story is so beautifully written, and I found myself going on this wonderful emotional rollercoaster ride with her characters while reading this book.

This story takes place during the weeks leading up to Christmas. The three female leads, Lizzie, Abbey, and Rhi, are all friends and are excited about the holiday season, but life decides to throw different curve balls at them. Lizzie’s daughter Katy has returned home with her two kids. Abbey and her boyfriend Sam hit a rough patch in their relationship. Rhi, who is excited and scared to start her own business, has just found out that Luke (her secret crush) is moving away after the holidays. This story is told from Lizzie, Abbey, and Rhi’s POVs, and all three women are at different stages of their lives and dealing with very different problems. In this book, Jill did a great job continuing each of these characters’ stories. She stays true to their character’s essence while adding new “drama” to their lives. I felt like I had just settled right back into this series with such ease and was excited to be back with these three leading ladies.

One of the great things about having a story with three female main characters is you get three love stories! They were all just so cute and heart-warming. Jill really knows how to get her reader’s heart pitter-pattering and leave us with those wondering about those butterflies in our stomachs feelings. The main relationship focus was on Abbey and Sam and Rhi and Luke. At the beginning of this story, Abbey and Sam are in a really good place in their relationship, but a person from Sam’s past puts strain on these two. I was not expecting their relationship to hit a rough patch, and my emotions were going up and down with these two. As much as I hate seeing some of my favourite characters have relationship problems, I felt that having Abby and Sam go through this added depth and realism to their relationship. And don’t worry, these two get their happy ever after ending. Rhi and Luke have an interesting past; they were colleagues. During that time, Luke liked Rhi, but she wasn’t interested in him; then they became friends, and Rhi realized she liked Luke, but he didn’t seem interested in starting a relationship with her. The timing with these two just never seemed to work out. In this book, Rhi realizes that she only spends a limited time with Luke before he leaves. There is a lot of will they or won’t they between these two. But those moments when they start giving in to their emotions are so tender and sweet.

Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods has all that romantic charm, and heart readers come to expect from a Jill Steeples novel.

I have been a fan of Jill's work for a couple of years now. I haven't caught up with everything that she has written but I hope to get there one day soon. I have to admit that I have a particular fondness for her new series which is set in 'Primrose Woods'. I read and loved the first book in the series called 'Starting Over At Primrose Woods' and I couldn't wait to read the second book in the series. Well ladies and gents, the wait is over because the second book in the series is called 'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods' was released on 4th October 2022. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods' but more about that in a bit.

As soon as I started reading 'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods', I felt as though I had been reunited with old friends. It didn't take me long to remember who was who and how they were connected. I had initially picked the book up only intending to read a chapter or two but I became so wrapped up in the story that I was still sat there reading several chapters and an hour later. My Kindle wasn't exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story. I was so into the story and enjoying it so much that I had lost all track of time and just how quickly I was getting through the book. The pages of the book were turning so quickly that it was almost as if they were turning themselves and all too quickly I reached the end of 'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods'. I found 'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods' to be the true definition of an unputdownable, page turner of a read, which left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods' is superbly written but then I have come to expect nothing less from Jill Steeples. Jill has one of those easy going writing styles that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. In fact reading one of Jill's books feels more like a chat between friends rather than reading a book. I hope that makes sense. For me, the story hit the ground running and maintained a gentle pace throughout. Jill clearly cares about her characters and this shines through in the very vivid and realistic way in which she describes them. Her characters seem just as real as you and I. I love the way in which Jill makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action. This book so made me want to pack a suitcase and go for a visit to Primrose Woods. This book was one of those books that cheered me up no end.

In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods' and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Jill's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*

The Blurb :
Winter has arrived in Primrose Woods bringing with it new loves, new adventures and warm hugs on cold days.
Abbey Carter, her boyfriend Sam and their trusty canine companion Lady, relish living in the picturesque village of Wishwell at the edge of their beloved Primrose Woods. The woods and the country park are full of activity as the festive season approaches.
Lizzie Baker is flat out at the Treetops café, serving all sorts of winter warmers, festive goodies and lashings of hot chocolate. And when her daughter and grandchildren arrive to stay, the run up to Christmas is set to be even more magical than she had expected.
Rhianna West has finally found the perfect man to fall in love with – if only Luke wasn’t moving away in the New Year.
As the snow falls on Primrose Woods, and the village of Wishwell sparkles with Christmas lights, could this be the year that every wish comes true for the three friends?

My Thoughts :
Although this is the second book in The Primrose Woods series, it can be read as a standalone.
I have to admit I do have the first book but have yet to read it.
I feel it may help to read the first one so to familiarise yourself with some of the returning Characters but it can still be read and enjoyed as a standalone book.
We are back in Primrose with loveable characters Abbey and Sam, Lizzie and Bill and Rhian and Luke.
In the run up to Christmas Lizzie and Bill are planning to have a bit of quiet time, that is until she finds a surprise on her doorstep in the shape of her daughter and grandchildren, having returned from OZ where life wasnt quiet as they expected it to be.
Things seem to be going great for Abbey and Sam in their relationship, until Abbey accidentally discovers her hidden Christmas present from Sam and it throws a spanner in the works.
Rhianna has returned from her trip to Australia and cant wait to see Luke again who she now realises she wants him to be more than a friend, that is until she finds out he has found a new job and plans to move away in the New Year.
Jill Steeples has once again written a beautiful feelgood story, complete with lots of festive cheer that makes you feel all Christmasy and want to curl up with a yummy hot chocolate.
Jill Steeples makes the reader feel as though the characters are life long friends and I love how they all link together in one way or another.
Looking forward to more from this Author in the near future.

I was thrilled to discover a second instalment in this series and couldn’t wait to start reading. Primrose Woods, and the lovely village of Wishwell, create a Christmas-card-perfect setting for this romance-filled story.
When we left the last book, Lizzie and Rhianna were heading to Australia and Abbey had found love with Sam. As this book opens, all the characters are back together and looking forward to sharing Christmas celebrations together at Lizzie’s cottage. Reviewing without spoiling this or the previous book may be a challenge, but I’ll do my best and follow what is already revealed by the synopsis.
Having overcome her fear of flying, Lizzie has finally visited her daughter in Australia and met her grandchildren. She is therefore surprised to discover them on her doorstep with an announcement that they are all moving back to the UK. Unfazed by the new development, Lizzie simply tweaks her plans to create a fabulous Christmas packed with friends and family.
Meanwhile, Abby and Sam have to overcome a shock and Rhianna is gutted to learn that Luke has a new job in a town over an hour away. Perhaps she has missed her chance to reveal her feelings.
I just loved this book and the seemingly effortless way that Jill Steeples pulled all the storylines together. There was a strong feeling of the Christmas spirit, and I loved the character of Lizzie’s granddaughter, Rosie. That childhood enthusiasm is one of the many joys of the festive period.
I was worried that this may be the end of the short series, but I have everything crossed for a third book as the antipodean family find their feet back in Wishwell. There’s also an opportunity to catch up with the couples as they enjoy their happiness.
I loved this book and wholeheartedly recommend that you curl up with this lovely, festive treat.

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood for the advanced copy of this title in return for an honest review.

Look, can we just make every day “read-a-Jill-Steeples-Christmas-book” day please!

This is just the perfect book to see in the winter months (even if I did read it in the warm weather of September).

I’ve only recently come across Jill’s books with another festive offering “Maybe This Christmas”, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so of course I jumped at the chance to read this one.

I love the family feel in this book, directly with the related characters but also within friendship groups and within the wider community. I love how all the stories and the characters are linked. It brings more of a depth of character to the proceedings. There’s characters of all ages, babies, children, mums and dads, grandparents - it’s really lovely. You get to see how Christmas is for all ages, and it allows you to recapture that childish feeling that the festivities bring.

I do believe this is number two in the Primrose Wood series but you’d never know, you’d never feel like you’d been left out of the party if you hadn’t read the first one (I mean, I haven’t read the first one). I’m sure you may get the slight nuances if you have read the first, but it reads perfectly as a standalone novel.

Now, I’d like to know how I go about moving into this novel, how to live in this community?

It may be (at time of writing) another 114 days till the big day, but Jill Steeples has managed to fill me with that unique joy that can only be attributed to Christmas.

Snowflakes over Primrose Woods is a sweet Christmas book that didn't figure purely on one couple, but features a few different relationships.

It's the second book in a series, but you can easily read it on its own - it's what I did, as I'm always just after the Christmassy books!

There's one couple that seems pretty perfect and in tune, until a blast from the past three a wedge between them. I really enjoyed how these two managed to deal with serious problems, which made them act badly at times, but still they did work though things and acted like adults after dealing with their own problems.

Another one has a problem with unrequited love, and the question if it's better to have someone for a short time and lose them, or stay save but miss out on the closeness altogether. This one didn't really grab me much, but that's because I just hate the "will they, won't they" sort of suspense. I just go thinking: Make up your damn mind and stick to it!

Then we have a mum and her kids returning from the other side of the globe, while the husband is still wrapping up things before he can join them again. Here I loved how realistic being a mum and being overwhelmed and maybe even depressed was written. It's not all fairy dust and roses after all.

A personal favourite of mine was the accompanying grandma, who doesn't just take care of her daughter and grandkids, but also has a personal life and new partner. I adored seeing a new and loving relationship that isn't about 20-40 year olds at most!

Extra points for plenty of snow, and a furry four legged friend!

I have read this as a standalone and I don't think that has spoilt my enjoyment. This is the second festive book I have read by Jill Steeples and both have been very enjoyable - this will leave you with that Christmas joy. A lovely, feel-good read that takes you on a journey of self-discovery.

The characters in this book are all lovely and now I feel the need to go back and read more about them. I hope there is more to come from this series.

SNOWFLAKES OVER PRIMROSE WOODS
BY
JILL STEEPLES.

This is book 2 in the Primrose Woods series.
As we head back to Primrose Woods, we catch up with all our favourite characters as they are preparing for Christmas.

Abbey and Sam have moved in together, complete with Lady the dog. They are blissfully in love. Of course there are some bumps in the road, but are Abbey and Sam ready to take their relationship to the next level?

Rhi has returned from her travels having missed Luke so very much. She now hopes with all her heart that they can finally be together. However, Luke has news of his own that could well put a spanner in the works.

Lizzie, the mother figure of the group, is enjoying her blossoming romance with Bill (Abbey’s dad).
Life is good, but Lizzie misses her daughter and grandchildren desperately. Until a knock on the door comes that could make this Christmas just perfect.

This book is an absolute delight. Beautifully written, with warmth and family at it’s heart.
Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods won’t fail to capture your heart and fill you with more festive feels than a tin of Quality Street.

There is nothing bad to say about this book. It’s a very captivating and special Christmas read. So put your Christmas jumper on and settle in for a feel good Christmas read.

The Primrose Woods series by Jill Steeples is such a lovely series.
The feel-good book is just what you'll need at the end of your day.
I read this while drinking my Tazo orange tea and what a wonderful relaxation it was.
Not finding Australia living up to what they were expecting Lizzie's daughter and two children just pop up on her doorstep to stay, it's a surprising but thrilling moment.
I enjoyed the relationships the women had with each other. They are close friends, sharing romance troubles and triumphs.
Rhianna West has had a best friend for a long time, Luke. She sees him now as a romantic interest. If only he wasn't moving so far away, and she sure doesn't do long distance relationships.
Abbey Carter has a fun and friendly dog. She and her boyfriend Sam love living on the outskirts of scenic Primrose Woods in the picturesque village of Wishwell. There are so many activities for them to do as a family.
I enjoyed following each woman's journey as they navigate day to day life and on again- off again relationships but yet are always the backbone in friendship for each other.
I enjoyed the snowy setting and seeing the excitement of the anticipation of Christmas through the eyes of the children. There was such an exciting and wonderful surprise on Christmas Eve.
An uplifting and positive book. I would recommend it.

This was another lovely read from
This fabulous author this is the second book in the primrose wood series and follows on from where we first
Met the characters in starting over in primrose wood although it could be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading the other book first to be able to fully immerse yourself in the story

This was a cosy feel good read which once I had started reading I couldn’t put down and read it in one sitting. It was fabulist too be back in the beautiful setting of primrose wood and to reconnect with and catch up with its inhabitants and to see how Sam and abbey were getting on and bill and Lizzie and Luke and rhia and to see want the future has in store for them. This was so much more than a romance story as was also a journey of self discovery and of how wishes can come true and how happiness can be found again with second chances and a little help from friends. It also had a really Christmassy vibe to it and would be perfect to read whilst curled up with a mug of hot chocolate.

This was a perfect feel good read and I would love a third book
In this series do further explore these characters lives and also to find out a bit more about the new inhabitants to primrose wood Jackson and his girlfriend and Katy and Brad

The first thing that grabbed me about this was the magical cover, as I adore anything about Christmas, then I read the blurb and I thought I just have to read this book. So I did and boy oh boy do I love this feel good holiday novel.

It is set at Primrose Woods and follows the stories of Abbey and Sam, Lizzie and Bill, Rhian and Luke, Katy, Rosie and Pip. My favourite character in this story is little Rosie as I love how the joy of her being a child is portrayed and it reminds us as adults to appreciate the small things in life like snow, animals, family and of course Christmas. I read this as a standalone although it is the second book in the series but I found it easy to pick up and follow each characters story. I loved the characters and their storylines so much that I am going to get the first book and I am really excited to read more of this wonderful series.

The way the settings in this are described is truly magical and makes me want to put up the Christmas lights right now! This is truly one festive, feel good novel that you don't want to miss. I'm going to reread it again closer to Christmas. I really can't describe how much I loved this book!

This is a very good bookfull of wonderful loveable characters. I was slightly worried coming into this book as I didn't full connect with the first book in this series. But I really loved this book. It was well wrote and I actually read this book in one sitting. It's a very heartwarming story line with plenty friend introduced and a great sense of atmosphere was created. This book really made me smile while reading it. Which was just what I needed. This book is the perfect fit if you like your winter reads with a hint of Christmas. I really connected with the characters and they felt realistic and easy to love. Except Sam of course you can enjoy hating him lol. It had a great medium pace that fitted the story so well. The book flowed so well with a few unexpected twists that made it a brilliant page turning novel. This has definitely got me in the mood for Christmas.
Many thanks to the author and publishers for creating this wonderful second in the series book to enjoy in the run up to Christmas.

A delightful festive story involving three friends
What happens near Christmas and how their romances fend!
With plenty of twists and surprises in store
It keeps you turning pages, wanting to know more.

When Lizzie opens the door to find her family
She's over the moon, as happy as can be.
Her home may be small but there's room for them all
And for others too, who come to call.

There's one long term romance that hasn't yet started
But the plans he's made mean they'll soon be parted.
Is there any chance for them to follow their dreams
Or will it force them apart as so it seems.

A new boss and shocks are in store for Abbey, too,
Sam's reactions though leave her wondering what to do.
How will their relationships develop or fail
You need to read for yourself in this festive tale!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and this is my honest review
Of the complementary book for which I say thank you!

Snowflakes Over Primrose Woods

by Jill Steeples #SnowflakesOverPrimroseWoods #NetGalley #christmas

Abby Carter and her boyfriend Sam are now well-established in the communities, and we have just added a few extras from the first book. These people's friends and families are all intertwined in this small village.

Jan and Mac, Rhianna and Luke, Connor and Ruby, Bill and Katy, and, later, Jackson Moody and Tara are all characters. Even the grandchildren, Pip and Libby, are moved by what Christmas means to the young family.

Even a brief mention of the novel's characterisation. All of them, along with their friends, have different ideas for making Christmas perfect, whether it's a Christmas tree sledging welding hulk or a barn owner and their very own Santa Claus! Each chapter has a distinct point of view from the one before it.

This is the second book in the Primrose Woods series however it can absolutely be read as a stand alone. Following the lives of Abbey & Sam, Lizzie, Luke and Rhi - it's a small town feel good, festive read. I hadn't read the first one and it definitely didn't affect my enjoyment of the book. The characters were all very likable and I'd like to go back and read the first one now to see how the story initially panned out.

This felt like a hug in a book - I read it in two sittings! The type of story you should curl up on the couch with a warm drink under a blanket and enjoy! A sweet, heartwarming easy read that would be perfect for the Christmas season!

Thanks to @netgalley @bookandtonic and @jill.steeples for this gifted arc. As always this is an honest review.

Book 2 of a 2 part series.

I am fast becoming a fan of this authors books, Jill Steeples stories are an absolute delight of a read from start to finish.

I loved being back in the picturesque setting of Primrose Woods and getting reacquainted in the lives of the characters Abby, Sam, Rhi, Luke, Lizzie, Bill, all whom are lovely and wonderful characters. It was great to have new additional characters being Katy, little Rosie and baby Pip too, as they bought something more to the story.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish, such heartfelt moments and entertaining throughout.

This is a nice feel-good novel, the second book in the Primrose Woods series, exactly what one expects from a Christmassy romantic read.

We know most of the characters from the first book, and I felt that not much is happening: this is simply the story of a group of friends, a small community, who are spending the winter holiday season together. This is a quick and pleasant read which definitely puts you in the festive mood.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an Advance Review Copy.

At the start of the year I had read book one set in Primrose Woods where I met and fell in love with the main characters with a soft spot for Lizzie, Bill and Abbey. The budding friendships and start of new relationships and the setting all made for a wonderful read that was very character driven, which I love. This book was similar, with the added bonus of it being set around Christmas time so there was a Christmassy atmosphere. It really felt like being back with old friends. There was a lot going on with unexpected visitors, new neighbors, some drama and lots of romance, but not spicy by any means. Overall just a really lovely read. I hope there will be many more books in this series perhaps focusing on Katy & Brad or even Jackson.

I loved this. I actually found myself quite moved as the snow started to fall creating a winter wonderland and then that knock at the door! Wow! Rosie’s reaction in the morning was priceless at seeing her dad.
I really enjoyed the different generational couples. Each finding their way through love. It was really nice to see not just young people being allowed to fall in love. All the characters were really well rounded, and not having read the previous book in the series I was still able to fully enjoy the story and the couples.
A really magical Christmas read.

Oh my days, I absolutely adore this series and have fallen in love with Primrose Woods.

Wishwell village sounded gorgeous already, but with the extra sparkle, snow and everything festive it sounds absolutely magical!

It was a pleasure to catch up with old friends and make some new.

Beautifully written, heartwarming and the perfect book to get you in the mood for everything Christmas!

I'm already looking forward to my next trip to the woods and Wishwell.

Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I love the cover it is so cute and just gets you in the mood for Christmas. The story itself is a little more dramatic than what I thought. There is a bunch of side stories of different people around a little town. It is a pretty easy fast read, so perfect read for the weekend to get you in the mood for Christmas. I mostly liked all the characters I was thinking that the different sides stories were going to be more humors and light hearted but it turns more dramatic.
