Ry Reed has written poetry for many years. Poetry has helped her heal and she uses her life as a platform to teach and share lessons she's learned along her journey. Depression, heartbreak, willingness to move forward, and start over again, her poems are relatable, personal, and straight to the point. Her every word digs out emotions and encourages change. She lives in southern California with her mother and brothers and writes poetry, non-fiction, and fiction books.

Reeds, white orchid is Very Insightful. Very Profound, Very Captivating, Very much inspiring and motivating.


After reading her book, somewhere deep down I felt, she has been helped in her struggles by the angels; celestial forces placed eached thing in its place, thus allowing Reed to give of her best.

Her gratitude, however, is not limited to the spiritual world; she never forgets her friends.

Full disclosure, I haven’t finished this book, Ry Reed was kind enough to let me sample her work so I would get a better idea of her poetry to see if it was something I would love. So although I haven’t finished I would like to share my thoughts to help others pick their reading journey wisely!

These poems made me feel really good, like I could do anything. In my opinion, there are other books/collections of poems by Ry Reed that evoke more emotion from me (although that is all up to the reader’s point of view). This was very positive and might hit someone just the right way. I would however LOVE this in like, journal or planner format, with the poems on each page as prompts or inspiration, because they are relatively short but pack a punch in the way of making you believe in yourself.

White orchids was definitely written for dreamers. It speaks on taking a seed (a dream) and making it become so much more. But we all have to water that dream or in other words, work on it, it order for that dream to become a reality. Your ultimate goal doesn’t come to you over night. You have to work hard and push through to accomplish your dreams/goals. Ry pinpoints other aspects of making your dreams a reality. Definitely a must read. Especially for those who are stuck and don’t know where to start.

This is a very motivating little poetry book. Ry Reed was the cheerleader we all need to fight for our dreams. The poems The Painter and 8am Traffic were so real to me, they convey what I have been at a loss of words for. There are a few one-liners in this book that I think could have been combined or added to, some of them were lacking a little bit. Overall, very good.

WOW! Beautifully written and so motivating. I’m glad a stumbled upon this book of poems because it definitely captures the thoughts and feelings I have and carry with me. It truly motivates me to keep on dreaming big, reminded me that I’m not the only one who is struggling, and that I’m constantly growing and changing to become the best version of myself. I haven’t finished the book but this is definitely one for the dreamers. The poems made me feel not so alone in this big complicated world. I felt motivated to keep trying for things I aspire to do. The key is patience and i accept that.
