Ex Special Ops, Dylan Rowley works with a team of men on jobs other men wouldn’t touch. He feeds off danger and the adrenaline rush that goes with it. Yeah, he might joke around and flirt, but that’s only to take the edge off.

When a predator stalks FBI explosives expert Ashlyn Pillar, leaving a trail of bodies and burned out buildings as tokens of his affections, Dylan will stop at nothing to take down the person responsible, even if that means delving into a past that Ashlyn doesn’t want to face.

What dark memories and monsters are plaguing her? Who caused the scars she carries inside and outside? He doesn’t know yet, but Dylan will do whatever it takes to keep her safe—whether she wants his help or not.

He’s part of a team of ex special ops who are bound by loyalty, honor, and truth. They risk their lives without hesitation to protect the innocent.

Dylan loves to blow things up, I've always been intrigued by him in the group! Getting to know Dylan in this book was like unwrapping a present, he just got better and better the more we got to know him! Of course his perfect match also loves to research explosives, making them a match made in heaven. Ashlyn was part of a crime gone wrong as a child and spends her life as an FBI agent trying to help others. She's caught the attention of a serial killer and together her and Dylan must race against the clock to piece the clues together for her safety. Although neither of them are looking for more than one night, we watch the walls around their hearts crumble as they work together to solve the case. Will their love be enough? Can they realize their feelings before it's too late? Or will the killer who is obsessed with Ashlyn get to her first? This book is full of suspense, with a bit of romance tied in, making it a perfect book to get sucked into and enjoy! I highly recommend.

An Explosive Relationship

Dylan is called in to assist in an FBI serial killer/bomber case because of his expertise in explosives. He is teamed up with Ashlyn. It takes awhile to figure out how to work together. But when they do, they make a lot of headway on he case. Ashlyn is being watched by the killer, and he calls and sends emails. Her boss is concerned that she may be in danger, so he puts Dylan with her 24/7. That's how their smoldering attraction ignites. They tell themselves it's just friends. Elijah, the killer, is getting closer and is very jealous of Dylan's time with her. The climax puts Ashlyn and her father in danger and in the hands of a seriously disturbed man. This is a great story of overcoming the past and grasping the future without fear. I highly recommend it.

I received a free copy of the steamy Texas set novel Explosive: Bound by Loyalty, Honor, Truth: Book Four by Karen Kelley, and this review was given freely.
Tragic, chilling, and suspenseful with a touch of steam and a happy ending.
As the death count climbs and an obsessed copycat serial killer targets emotionally reserved FBI explosive agent Ashlyn Pillar, she must learn to trust her new partner and bodyguard, former special ops agent Dylan Rowley, whose physical attraction and delving into her tragic past challenges her emotional control.

I’ve read all four books in this series and each and every one was well written with lovable characters that deserved their happily ever after. I’m looking forward to reading book five. I can’t wait for Ethan’s story.

Dylan & Ashlyn

Suspenseful & intriguing while still being pretty predictable. I figured out the twist early on.

Good story. Loved Dylan. Some spelling and grammatical errors. Some moments confused me.
