After an EMP disrupts the nation’s power grid, putting millions at risk, Charlie Owens flees Seattle with his family to his cabin on the remote Beckett Island. But it doesn’t take long for the dangers of this post-apocalyptic world to threaten his family’s survival.

James Hunt's passion for writing began at an early age. While his journal of yesteryear may never be the work of great fiction, he's been working hard every day since then to bring pages to life. James has well over a decade of writing under his belt, but his professional career in literature didn't take off until 2014.
James currently lives in Orlando, FL and when he's not pounding away at the keyboard you can find him at the theater or somewhere outside enjoying the beautiful Florida weather.
I enjoyed the story so perhaps it deserves better than a rating of 3, but the editing, or lack there of, was so annoying. It was as if only spellcheck was used and no one bothered to actually read the book. A comprehensive list would take too long, but here a few examples. 1. The “haul” of the ship instead of the “hull” of the ship. 2. Copeland remained “unphased by the heat instead of “unfazed.” 3. Remote back “rounds” instead of remote back “roads.” That’s enough for me. I assure you there’s many more...
What a gripping read, I couldn't put it down. Charlie has got his family safe on the island or so he thought . He is called back to the bunker for a mission . It turns out that the mission is compromised and what follows is a fight to get back to his family . His family are fighting their own battle as the island comes under attack . Can Charlie get back in time ?
The Last Flag is an exhilarating story of Charlie and his family overcoming the odds of an over confident and controlling governmental bureaucracy. The Bunker run by “Sir” caused collapse of the world. The story has many twists and turns that I am sure you will enjoy.
All of the Owen's family gets involved in this chapter It's really hard to imagine the type of so called governmental institute that this is all about That is also harder to think that some megliomanique would be so convinced that his way up here and to the Chinese forcesBut I don't think I Would read it again
Just like the first book, this one was great. The first left a "what's next?" felling. This one could be the end, but we know it isn't. Love, strength, future happiness all will come with the next tale. Mystery around the corner and a fight for the future? Looking forward to reading this next chapter in the tale.
Story was very interesting and full of intrigue with many twists and turns. As a reader, I think it would be kinder to let us know how many books are in this series. Also you may wish to get a proof reader to correct all the typos, as there were a lot.
The characters in book 1 and 2 are well written and a US intelligence agency working with China is s badly plausible. The ending is left dangling though and that's frustrating
This plot is a northwest attitude that would not be accurate for a good deal of the country. criminals do not change into good people after a bit of sole searching and therapy. The cop slash mom should be dropped in the water. Not a good example of Hunt's work.
In the same sentence to say his wife ‘is full of dread’ and ‘she will be fine’ is typical misplaced tension creation. Facing 100 armed men with ultra modern weapons and half a page later without any conflict ‘we are facing 50 soldiers’ Tosh
Wow, yet another way to posit an end of the earth scenario. One would need to suspend disbelief to believe that one man could control so much that he could engineer such carnage. However, every story appeals to someone.
You lost the storyline somewhere. This book was about nothing but fighting for the sake of having battles. It was about betrayals and not much good at all.
Great story, I think. In the last few chapters opinions differed on some intense moral issues, families etc.. Thought II had it figured out. I was wrong. A book you have to read. Different perspective on the EMP and the future after. Made me think...
The writing is good and captures the attention but the jarring errors in punctuation, spelling and other editing issues really distract from the storytelling.
Nice follow up to the first book. There really should be another book in the series. Again the editing was bad. So the series was a decent read overall.
Storyline continues. Lots of action. This one needs editing. There are a lot of errors, which should have been corrected. It is a different take on the apocalypse.
Chsrlie, Shelly, Kayla and Benji all worked together using their strengths as a family to work toward surviving an EMP.... what chalk will this family face next?
This book, like the first is well by thought out. You can imagine the characters doing all the stuff. It's exciting, intriguing and full of suspense! Loved it...
