He’s heir to his father’s shifter pack. She’s a half-witch outcast. But when fate pushes these would-be mates together, will their destinies tear them apart?Zora has never been happy being the lowest of the pecking order. Marcus has proudly spent his whole life training to take over from his father. So much so his very identity is bound to his station. But when his fated mate turns out to be the magical exile, her lowly status threatens everything he's worked for. If he isn’t the next leader of his people, he’s nothing, but his rejection is her death sentence.
Zora attempts to break free of her dark fate and her destined one, but Marcus is sent to bring her back to face savage pack justice. As he chases her down, can they continue to resist the sexual pull between them, or will the impossible call of their hearts finally overcome them?
They can't be together, but will rejecting the mate bond destroy them both?
Rejected by the Wolf is a steamy standalone dark romance. If you like steamy scenes, forbidden love, and unstoppable sexual tension, then you’ll love Chase Meadows’ passionate tale.
So the male lead has no spine for most of the book. He's a jerk that demands everyone bow down to him as he is the alpha heir. He sentences his mate to death to appease his father. He continues to obey said father even after that father orders a woman to be raped. He strikes a woman in chains. He stands by while that same woman is beaten. He is horrid for the majority of the book. I'm listing his horrid actions/inaction as after all this, he gives an inadequate "I'm sorry" and all is forgiven. Not believable. As to the book itself, not a lot of world building. Lots of vague mentions. The female lead glosses over getting beaten and having to have surgery in one sentence for example. That is kind of a big deal for only a sentence. And the beating was done by "alpha brats" who weren'texplained. Her mom's mysterious illness is never explained. Just another vague mention of her getting help later. Lots of things lacking in elaboration and explanations. The usual Kindle Unlimited spelling errors. "solider" instead of "soldier" etc.
Tstl. That's our heroine in a nutshell. Our H is spineless and spends most of the book trying to kill his mate. We are expected to believe the h's wolf, even after the H repeatedly rejects her and plans to break the bond and kill her, still pines for him and has undying faith he won't hurt her. Then we have a convoluted "plot" with the h's dad that never really comes to any type of fruition and is just left forgotten. Add in some instant, I love him (for no reason whatsoever the h declares SHE loves him, not just the wolf/bond), altho we have seen zero evidence and interaction between them that would have anyone believing this.
This book is for all of you out there that gets caught in those Facebook adds that asks you to download an app and pay to continue reading the story 🤣🤣 this book is just as cheesy and it kept me reading to find out what happens next but in the end is so dumb that you question yourself why you kept reading it. lol at least you don’t have to keep paying to continue reading with this one haha but man the 🧀 was very cheesy 😅
I love a good duet narration, but this is not a good book. No chemistry between the main characters. More like a bully romance without the actual romance. 🤷🏼♀️
Rejected by the wolf is full of surprises and twists and turns that will have hooked. The story gives you an inside look at trauma from both heroes, and they connect on it and help each other survive. I think Zora is too forgiving and wants to see the good in every situation, even when things are crazy around her.
Zora can't believe her luck when the alpha son becomes her mate and instantly rejects her. She knows that things are bad, and she needs to escape. She learns to stand up for herself and go after what she wants, making her happy.
Marcus is the pack's next alpha and has an image to maintain, so he rejects his mate because that is what is expected of him. I want to say that he is an honorable man, but it takes a while to get used to and for him to grow on you.
Marcus works hard to become a better person for Zora, which makes him worth fighting for. His ability to recognize his love for her is what he needs to make the pack and himself stronger. A story full of passion, adventure, and finding yourself.
This was unique take on the mate trope. They didnt have flirtatious banter and occasional arguements, he literally tried to kill her multiple times and the mate bond stopped it. His human half truly hated her for a good part of the book and I loved reading him overcome that. I wish we got more of it honestly cause it was the best bit about the book. The coven/prophecy plot was a little odd because it was built up to be this big thing and then never really gets addressed again. There were also a lot of characters you met that felt like theyd have a bigger part because they had good rapport and banter but then they we ere never mentioned again. I wish we'd seen her dad go truly dark, or seen an uprising or something to make it feel more real. I just wasnt invested in that part because we hadnt leadnt the importance of the prophecy. But I loved the romance and the constant forced proximity style saving each other. Super fun. Would read from this author again.
Rejected by the Wolf by Chase Meadows is all action! Zora is a bullied half breed, Marcus is an arrogant Alpha-heir determined to kill her. Throw in a coven of warlocks forcing a prophecy to come to pass and this book keeps you on your toes. I will admit that the chapters from Marcus's POV were a bit difficult for me to read because the author did a great job of writing him as an arrogant, self centered a**hat but he did have some personal growth that had me cheering for him in the end. I also loved watching Zora go from meek and scared to a true fighter, standing up to her pack and coven and fighting for what's right. Great book!!
This is one of those books, where when you finish reading you immediately begin to forget. It was kind of entertaining. Not very much so, but yeah! It isn't good, it isn't really bad. It isn't memorable and it doesn't make you feel a lot, not even the action scenes make your heart jump, but it was a good enough day's read for something that is a guilt pleasure of mine exactly because it is SO HARD to find good books of the genre.
This book was an ok read. I felt like there was far too many things introduced in world building and it forced one of those weird fast endings. With the romance between the two characters, I felt like I personally wouldn't want either of these two folks. It's hard to truly enjoy a book when you're kind of ambivalent about whether or not the mc dies. To be a bit positive, it was pretty good world building and not enough groveling by the weird male lead.
It was an okay listen. The situation moving the plot was odd and didn't make a ton of sense to me. There were characters who were introduced that we never saw again. Then he changes his mind and gives a half-assed apology. And she's just okay with it? Idgaf if you have a mate bond or not, dude was literally pissed off that you didn't willingly die because he told you to.

I found this story so engrossing that I was not able to put it down. Zora was mistreated for all of her live because she was a hybrid. Marcus, the alphas son was her mate so she is imprisoned and sentenced to death. Their story is as much about self discovery as much as the dynamics of the groups expectations.
I absolutely positively loved this book!! I couldn't put this book down. This book had sadness, happiness, adventure, and family fighting for and against each other. this is the first book I read from this author and I look forward to reading more from her!!!!
I’ve enjoyed the books from this author thus far. I look forward to reading mote of her books. I recommend this author for those that like paranormal books.
That was a very thought out book. Not much groveling, but some was there. It also had low spice that occured at the end of the book. Overall, a solid read! :)
