Maxim Volkov finds his person in Taken By Him by SR Jones.
His person is the abused but beautiful Aurora Rossi whose being forced to marry a dirty, old Prince by her sadist and questionable cousin, Tomasso Rossi but like I said Maxim Volkov has found his person and nobody will interfere in him protecting and finding love with Aurora Rossi!
Maxim is all alpha male of course but ever an alpha needs assistance in this engaging and dark tale. The brothers Volkov of course has his back against Tomasso but you know SR brings it super strong with all her previous, powerful heroes and businessmen including my all time favorite characters, the Ghost, Andrius and the fashionista, Maya, Stamatis' daughter and Damen's wife is featured in an amazing way too!
SR Jones weaved Maxim and Aurora's intricate tale like a boss!

Huge misconception. In previous books we were given the idea Maxim is really hard core and dangerous like K (sort of. I even have issues with his “darkness”). In reality, he’s super soft and sweet. He’s all mushy, this is just not how I saw him as. The majority of the book is of him and Aurora together when they ran away. This book was a huge let down. Someone needs to help this author make her guys dark and express that in the writing.

This is the 3rd book in the series however it can be read as a standalone. Aurora is trying to avoid having to marry someone she doesn’t want to. She and Maxim run but they also want their revenge will his family help him? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, emotion and sizzling scenes. Great characters and really draws you in. I loved it.

Comments made in the previous books (of this series) tell us that Maxim is wild, dangerous, full of rage and considered to be a constant screw-up by his brothers. The Maxim we meet is quite a contrast however through the soft-hearted, gentler side of himself that he often shows to Aurora.
Maxim and Aurora were like two peas in a pod – with many similarities, including the same sexual kink. But, with little push and pull between them, their resulting relationship while very steamy, was more sweet than intense. I liked learning about their childhoods, but I’ll admit I skimmed through most of their getting-to-know-you conversations about their hopes and dreams. With more than half of the book spent in hiding, their plan of revenge doesn’t begin until around the 65% mark when they enlist the aid of bratva and mafia characters from the author's previous series.
This was not the dark-ish story I was expecting from the description and as a result it was just an okay read for me. This age gap romance features some humour and mild suspense along with several steamy, explicit encounters featuring a power differential, primal play, and some spanking.

Maxim and Aurora's story is spellbinding, captivating with the perfect dose of intense attraction and the ultimate control that Maxim brings into the mix. As S.R. Jones writes " Two sonatas who when together create the perfect rhythm, timing, and form. There’s a beauty in it. Both in it this way, slow and luscious, and in the wilder way we come together, violent almost, and desperate.” Aurora is pushed into mariage to an old middle eastern prince by her cousin who abuses her and controls her life. However her cousin Tomasso needs the Volkov's brothers help and he takes her to Club V for a meeting. The minute she sees Maxim time stands still and her world is turned upside down. When Maxim sees her, the same can be said and he will do everything in is power to protect her from harm. Taking her to Corfu at Andrius and Konstantin's compound is a temporary solution until he can find a more permanent one. We revisit our friendly cast of friends in Greece and it has me wondering what danger is lurking around the corner for this little village in the heart of Corfu.

Aurora has a POS cousin who could GAF about her well being which is why he pretty much sold her to a sadistic demon from hell, and she's obviously not happy about it. From the moment Maxim set eyes on Aurora, he felt a very strong connection, so he decides he's going to take her & protect her to boot, and what follows is a dangerous adventure as Aurora still isn't safe of course. My heart was pounding like crazy as they went on the run, because in this world, evil doesn't give up as they have to save face so they will burn the world down to show their strength. In the first two books, Maxim is dark, and while he's still dark, in this book we get to see his true nature deep down which made him even sexier in my eyes. The twists are coming in hot, the heat between these two is intense, and there's a fabulous supporting cast that I already fell in love with previously to round it out perfectly. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I devoured this book really. I didn't lay it down until I was finished and then I was sad that it was over.

Are you ready for Maxim's story? Because I was ready when I finished the second book in the series and then was just waiting until this gem would be released! But something happened, and I nearly missed it, so I was thrilled when I contacted the author and received the ARC to read!
I loved the book, the only issue that I had with it, was that we didn't really see the ending of a certain a-hole, I would have preferred a bit more gory details!
I loved Aurora and Maxim, their chemistry their goals and aspirations in life, and the spice between those two was off the charts! I hope this is not a major spoiler, as. we kinda get to know about it in the first few chapters, so the primal play that was introduced in this book, chef's kiss!
Now, get ready for so much trauma (especially when reading Aurora's POVs), that it'll last you for several years, heartbreak, hope, and so much love and understanding between the characters that you will want to have your own Maxim. The book is quite fast-paced and closer to the. end, we get to meet so many new characters, that now I'm not sure whether they are characters for new series or are from a different series written by the author, and honestly, if they are already written I want to read their stories! Update: the stories are for sure already written and if I'm not mistaken it should be Bratva Blood Series (guess I just added around 9 books to my TBR).

I must admit that Nikolai stole my heart, but that doesn’t mean that Sasha and Maxim aren’t delicious. I expected Maxim to be a protective man. Look at the family! Maxim was a still a big surprise. I didn’t expect his soft side that wanted out of the business to farm and raise chickens. That was a completely unforeseen character development, and I loved it!
I knew that the heroine would be needing Maxim’s protection, but I found Aurora utterly endearing. Together they made the perfect coupling. It is not everyday that you find two kindred souls that love the simple life and a good chase. From the very start of their relationship, they were taken with each other. It was clear to all those in their presence that there was a spark. No one expected them to runaway together as they had just met. Seeing them learn about each other and share their desires was beautiful.
What was more beautiful was seeing all our favorites reunited in Corfu. What a great reminder that I have loved each of their stories. Seeing the hero and heroine’s fall for each other and live their lives was awesome. To see this collection of fierce men willing to viciously protect their mates and banding together as a family was awesome. It makes me want to read various books all over again!!

This book absolutely took my breath away and had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. OMG this is book three of the Club V series by SR Jones and let me tell you she delivered one heck of a book with this one. These books just keep getting better and better. The characters she matched in this are the absolute perfect pair and they complement each other amazingly.
This is Aurora and Maxim’s story and it’s definitely a rough ride. Maxim steals Aurora away but she was his the moment they locked eyes on each other. When these two come together their connection is intense and their chemistry is off the charts. They work together and plot a revenge against all those that have wronged them and they reach out for help and find who is loyal to them and their plot. They both have had a hard life and have found what they need together in each others arms.
This book will have you feeling so much and experiencing even more as these two go through so much together. Even though this is a standalone I definitely recommend reading the first two books along with this one. This series is absolutely amazing. And am seriously looking forward to reading more in it with all the new characters we got to meet in this book. Highly recommend this book!!

TAKEN BY HIM is Maxim and Aurora’s story, and it’s totally intense. From the very start, you will be thoroughly entranced. Who knew they would both have such depth of character?! Both their pasts growing up were hard, but it forged them to have the strengths that each of them needs. Theirs is an enthralling tale that will capture your interest from the beginning and keep you fully involved until the very end. And I’m warning you now, you’re probably going to cry at the end, I did. This is a fast-paced read that you’ll find hard to put down. And when you do get to the end, you’re going to wish their story would go on and on. Maxim and Aurora’s tale alone is enough to keep you intrigued but adding in an opportunity to visit again with the Bratva and Greek Mafia characters we’ve come to love so much, completely rounds out the overall enjoyment of this story. If you haven’t been reading this series, you really need to do so. And, if you have, then you are definitely going to want to read this!!

Aurora Rossi is a beauty who’s been abused by her family. Her love for reading and the magical worlds she enters through her books is part of her personality.
It was love at first sight. The connection so strong, he had to have her. She thought of him as his saviour.
The story is enticing, pulls you right in with great enthusiasm and very well written characters with gothic themes.
The heroine is as dark as our hero, she’s not your run of the mill beauty more like into gothic horror. Turns out they have the same secret sex kink. She likes to be chased and fucked when caught.
So she runs like a prey and he is her predator with of course the safety.
Thoroughly enjoyed, a lot of characters were introduced. An entire community, looking forward to reading more about them. Overall recommend ! Happy reading!

Maxim & Aurora- Perfect Pairing
Maxim is a strong passionate man who will do anything for those he loves. When he locks eyes with Aurora he knows she has been imprisoned and his only choice is to break her free. He doesn’t expect anything in return but the connection he feels is strong and all consuming. When he helps her escape the shared longing is apparent in both of them. They are a perfect pairing who share the same needs, wants, desires, & future plans. However, Aurora’s sadistic cousin isn’t going to let her go that easily. Thankfully, the brothers have amazing friends who drop everything to help them keep her safe!
This book is powerful and intense. We meet some amazing new characters who all have books of their own; which is awesome! Maxim & Aurora find their HEA and it is delicious and delectable. I loved this series. This is the third book but each book follows a different brother. This book follows the baby of the siblings, Maxium. We seen at the end of book two him running off into the night with Aurora, who he helped escape from her cousin. This book is a bit more tame than the other books and is less action packed but more emotions based. Lots of the book takes place in the cabin where we learn all the depths of both characters and sit in the suspense of what’s to come. I loved being able to see all the heart felt things from them while they were being vulnerable and giving that space for Aurora to find herself. The last quarter of the book had a bunch of other characters from the authors other series and I think I would’ve understood more if I had read the other books. And the real turning point of the book at the end, I found anticlimactic - even though I loved the HEA for the characters.

This was a great ending to the Volkov brothers series. This book features Maxim, the youngest brother. Honestly, I though this book was going to be different than it was because of his brother’s description of him.
It just goes to show that family doesn’t always know who you are even when they love you.
The FMC is Aurora who we met in book 2. Aurora is being abused and humiliated by her cousin. He’s leading her around on a collar and leash training her to be submissive to a Prince he sold her to. Don’t worry this book isn’t about Doms & Subs. But her treatment by him is cruel.
Maxim meets Aurora at Nikolai’s club. He realizes her distress and steals her from her cousin. And that is the main story of the book - their life on the run and falling in love.
However, their love story is very sweet and very raunchy. They were two souls who found each other and get their HEA.

The Club V series continues with Aurora Rossi and Maxim Volkov's fantastic story. True to form this author takes us on a steamy, dark, gritty, wild ride with these two. At the hands of her cousin Tomasso, Aurora is in a mess. He's evil and cares nothing about her. She's been promised to someone else that Tomasso believes will benefit him and she has no say in the matter at all. This is where Maxim comes in, her gorgeous, dark, oh so sexy knight, who's going to save her. Now of course, we know things are never quite that easy with this author and the journey's she takes us on with these characters. But then again, anything worth having is never easy and this couple certainly has their share of bumps to get to their HEA. We also get glimpses of some other of our favorite characters. Taken By Him is another incredible story and another incredibly wild ride!

We met Aurora & Maxim in Given to him. Maxim is instantly besotted with Aurora, whose cousin Tommaso has organised her engagement to a much older, depraved prince. Maxim really sees Aurora, past her beauty, to her need to be free—and safe. Maxim is the final Volkov brother to find a partner, and he was a bit different from what I expected based on his appearances in his brothers’ stories. I loved seeing them, plus couples from past books--mafia & Bratva—too. This story really did focus on Maxim and Aurora & it wasn’t hugely dark. I really enjoyed their shared kink scenes of primal play, it was wild, primitive & fun. While the story was tame, I loved getting to know the characters more.

Omg I just loved how Maxim and Aurora's story played out! I've been intrigued by Maxim since we met him in Nik's book, and even more so after the ending is Sasha's! And Skye didn't disappoint 😍
I absolutely LOVED the primal play between them, the trust Aurora was able to put in Maxim was just everything 🥰
What I love.most about Skye's men is how possessive they are! They see what they want and they won't let anything stand in their way to get it 😈 and Maxim was no different! 😍
He's shot up as a new favourite book boyfriend that's for sure!!
And I also love the interactions between past characters! I can never get enough Konstantin and Andrius 😍😍

This book was very interesting and had lots of chemistry between Maxim and Aurora. This book was different from others in the past for a couple of reasons. One of them being for a majority of the book they were the only people around. They were very secluded and because of this the drama that usually happens in books like these from a misunderstanding or miscommunication didn’t happen! That was pretty refreshing! Plus once they rejoined society we got to revisit all the amazing characters that live on corfu! I enjoyed getting to see characters from other series again. This book also had a HEA for Maxim and Aurora. All in all a good book!

Now that being said she did have brunette hair (the other girls in the series were blonde and ginger) so i get the appeal
She did have a reason to escape like totally valid mama
I do wish this book lasted longer than the others because the plot was there and their emotional connection could have really grown with more pages but alas
She wanted to be mounted on a tree

Each girl in the series had their own ~kink~

Phenomenal Story! You don't want to miss this book... I always love reading Skye Jones books and this is no exception. It has everything, a good-looking, strong, athletic built, crime family man and a gorgeous woman in dire need of saving. Two people on the run from a man who plans on selling her into a life of brutality. And if you have read the other books in the series, all the gang is back, and we get to visit Corfu Island and the families there. Another fantastic book that you should not miss out on.

Loved Maxim and Aurora’s story. It’s action packed, intense, dark read. Aurora has been promised to someone that her cousin feels will help him in his future endeavors, however, Aurora doesn’t agree with his demand, she flees with Maxim. These two both have had a hard upbringing and that has made both of them stronger people for it. Together they can withstand anything if they do it together. I loved getting glimpses of our other favorite characters from stories past. This is a great read, you will be engrossed until the end to see how their story ends.

Maxim like he’s brothers knows what he wants and what he wants he gets, once he sees Aurora, he knows that he wants her, he knows he has to keep her safe no matter what the cost.
One thing they both want is revenge and with the help of some others they set a plan in place.
Great to see the other side of Maxim, protecting and caring for who he loves and the man who never wants to see her trapped again.

It’s just the gift that keeps on giving! These brothers are sooooo goooood - and this third instalment did not disappoint. I love how the Corfu gang all make an appearance and we see these iconic characters revisited through a newcomers perspective. Maxim is beautifully vulnerable - he’s hard and tough but you know straight away that there is something generous and kind underneath. Aurora is stunning and broken, but flourishes within her own spirit as she is let free. Loved this third instalment and once again SR Jones produces the goods. Very Highly recommend 😊💕

Club V continues with the incredible story of Maxim and Aurora. Aurora's cousin is cold, calculating and cares nothing for using Aurora for his own gain. Maxim is having non of that so he swoops in to protect Aurora from the fate that her cousin had planned.
This book was incredibly exciting to read. Dark, a little, but not over the top for me. There is a lot for Maxim and Aurora to go through, but they do get a happily ever after ending.

good read
Pretty decent book! I mostly liked the story. I kind of wish they forgive vasily wife at this point. It seems they all made decisions that aren’t black or white. Every book I think..hypocritical. I also thought maybe she had something to do with the Italians but then they never associated with them. He also brought up his paternity to never address it. I liked the couple, but found the ending boring. Evil cousin barely got two pages of killing him.

This is the third book in this series, and Maxim and Aurora’s journey continues. This is a beautifully written story which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with betrayal, family, friendships, redemption, twists, emotions, danger, suspense, and love, which leads to a riveting and thrilling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Aurora has always been the pawn to her brother and when he arranges for her to be married, but with Maxim by her side they run, they plan her revenge but need a little help, will they be given any? Well written book 3 in the series! A great addition and great seeing all the old favourites and more! Steamy, desires, action and more!
