I’m not having the best day. My principal called me in to tell me that my teaching assignment will change this school year. The advanced placement program I’ve worked so hard to build will now be in the hands of someone new… someone who’s unqualified. As I’m leaving that meeting, who do I see?
The boy from my past, all grown up, the one who stole my heart… and my future.
My archnemesis… Mason effin’ McIntyre.
While he looks at me like I’m a sight to behold, I formulate a plan to get rid of him. Make his life so miserable, he has no choice but to bug out and go back to his successful life, the life he stole from me.
If only things were that easy. My mind says he has to go. If only my body and heart would listen.
Robin Leaf lives in Texas with her husband and four kids (three human and one furry). When she’s not reading romance novel a day, she can be found watching Supernatural (and drooling over both Dean and Sam equally), playing ball with her furry child, or cleaning up dog hair.
This is my first read from Robin Leaf, and I must say she had me hooked by the intensity she displayed in the prologue of Masons Memories as she had written them in the story. This is a good enemies to lovers, second chance, secret relationship trope. I loved the setting of the story as they were both high school teachers, but they both had a secret. They went to high school together. They were both super intelligent characters that challenged each other, and it was a perfect angsty romance. Loved the sassy banter between Luna and Mason. And of course I loved that after they got through the hurdles, they were able to see their relationship for what it was. Nothing like a good He-Man, She-Ra reference. I hope Robin continues this series in the future.
Any day you are given words from Robin Leaf is a good freakin' day!! Luna and Mason knew each other in high school, there was something between them then. 20 years later and Luna is a teacher at the high school she attended and Mason comes back into her life by also teaching at said school. Luna is anything but happy to see him and she lets him know in no uncertain terms that she HATES him....but does she really? Both are still affected by things that happened even all those years ago, but now that they are in the same place maybe some truths can be told and healing can be done. This was a quick but really good story from Robin, and if I had a "complaint" it would be that I wish there could have been more!!
What happens when a misunderstanding causes out of this world tension? Read Mason and Luna's story to find out.
The tension between these two started back in high school when something happened to bring an end to what could have been.
Luna's dreams changed and now she teaches at the high school she went to. She has built a program that is extremely successful but what happens when it is taken away from her and given to the one person she HATES?
Mason wants to give back to the school that made him love science. However, what happens when the one person he can't stop thinking about happens to be pushed out when he steps into help out?
Will these two be able to get over the past to have a future?
I think that this book is the one I was the most excited about in the series because I'm also Aries. And this part of the book did not disappoint at all. Everything about this book was just so relatable to me. I just could see myself in the characters way too much and I kept comparing their actions to mine, which made for a super fun reading experience.
Second chance romances are my favourites and I really liked how this one was done, but I think that it had a little too much push and pull for me, because it just kept getting on my nerves a little.
I still had a super fun time reading this book and it was a very enjoyable read.
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest opinion.
I so enjoyed this novella. This is a second chance and enemies to lovers romance that works so very well. The misunderstanding, the extra hot chemistry, and the new job challenges give us a fabulous read. Robin writes with humor, some snark, and a whole lot of love. Luna and Mason were well developed, and reading Mason's love for Luna was the best. There are wonderful references that brought back fun memories for me. I love Robin's flair for writing and she didn't disappoint with Aries!
Science nerd finally gets his girl. I enjoyed watching Mason and Luna circle each other as they try to learn to live in their present attraction despite 20 years of (misplaced) anger and betrayal. This was fun, quirky, and gives all the former nerds out there hope for the future and the second chance to finally get the girl.

I loved this book! The resentment, the wonder why, the second chance they get and the insight of a teacher, I loved it all! I’m not having the best day. Luna & Mason knew each other back in the day, but she's not a fan anymore so when she finds out that he's taking over her advanced placement program, well, she's not very happy to say the least. I cannot state enough how much I LOVED the fact that she was going to chase him off as that's exactly what I would have plotted, but you already know it won't be that simple LOL! The banter between them was definitely entertaining, and the sparks are definitely flying, but will they actually face the past for a chance at a different future? You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out, and trust me, you want to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
What a fun and quirky, a little bit angsty, second-chance hate-to-love romance Robin Leaf has written! I loved getting into Luna and Mason's story! And for a long novella, it's jam-packed with the FEELS! It reads like a novel, leaving nothing behind! I'm excited to get into the other Zodiac Collection books now!
Luna and Mason are fun, quirky and explosive. When these two finally come together they can't deny their attraction. This story is witty and addiction with a great story line and amazing characters.
